Fantastic experience: Myself and my family have been with the Larcholme Dental Practice for many years and have experienced the professional and excellent service with both the staff and the doctors whenever needed.

Fantastic experience: I was very pleased with the way Matthew dealt with my problem. Had the usual check up but then helped with a broken filling that left a sharp feeing to my tongue. Although an appointment made in January to deal properly, he smoothed it off so my Christmas meals can go ahead as planned.

My current dentist is Matthew Wise who is very approachable and explains clearly what treatment needs to be done and why. He is happy to answer any questions or concerns which you may have and discuss with you , your treatment plan.

Fantastic experience: First time ever had a query with a loose tooth and was worried as I know through neglect during my younger days my bone density and my gum shrinkages would be a problem eventually. I got an appointment the next day with Matthew (my usual dentist) and after taking x-rays of my gums and gave me sound advice with no pressure for any treatments recommended. He put my mind at ease with the options which were what I was dreading and now I know which direction to take. So grateful that I took the monthly dental plan for my wife and I several years ago when we joined as it just coincided with the annual free x-ray that is part of the plan. Roman

Fantastic experience: The larcholme dentist practice is the best there is. I've been a patient for at least 20 years. I see Mathew Wise now, who is an exceptionally kind and communicative dentist. Mathew saved a tooth in my upper jaw, (I had been advised by Bupa, to have it removed ) Mathew saved my tooth by administering a filling, which previously, two other dentists had told me was not possible I am very happy visiting the dentist and I make sure that I go for every 6mth check up to avoid any nasty problems developing. I am not on Denplan because my worklife is not consistent and I am wary of taking on monthly financial commitments however I would highly recommend denplan too

Negative experience: Booked in on Friday just gone little pain on upper left side of mouth, they gave me no scans or nothing, they went along and done a half a deep clean on left side (130 pound) come Sunday im in agony with my right side of the mouth (dentist didn't touch that side) I'm now in a pain and got severe bleeding, and they want me to go back there and spend another 69 pound just to be seen without any treatment, this is disgusting, im in the process of getting a refund from Friday has they have total messed my mouth up

Fantastic experience: My most recent visit to the surgery was for a routine check-up. As usual, the overall service was excellent, from all staff with whom I had contact. I require further treatment, the likelihood of which had been flagged-up during my previous check-up, so was not a surprise. This ongoing treatment was fully explained, costed, and appointments made.

And they appointed me after 4 four week to take out the remaining part . guss what they can't take it out . They referde me to new cross hospital. And new cross hospital they appointed me after 6 months for surgical extraction. Finally God guide me to Larcholme dental practice. They took it out in 15 minutes. Fantastic experience: Reception ladies were very nice and welcoming. Dentist and his assistant were great. They were very good explaining what was happening and the work that I needed have done.

Fantastic experience: So, the hugely scared dentalphobe had to have two extractions. Poor old Mat and the amazing Charlie somehow managed this incredible feat. Not only did they manage to talk me through having impressions made (and I'm not talking Tommy Cooper or Frank Spencer), they jointly instilled so much trust in me, due to their joint patience and kindness, that I actually returned the next day for the extractions. Can't say it was the best day of my life, but I CAN say it was a lot quicker than I expected. Also, my new smile fits perfectly, looks pretty damn good if I say so myself. But the best bit, within 36 hours I gingerly removed them for the first time, and I had already healed up. I only had one painkiller, as well, and that was on returning home. Thank you all so much. All the staff are always friendly and helpful. I would say I can't wait to see you all again, but that would be a fib. xxxxx

The dentist explained what he was going to do during this "check up" appointment and when he had finished he explained that all was satisfactory, there were no problems and he would see me in six months. An appointment was duly made and I came away feeling happy and fully satisfied.

Negative experience: An absolutely dishonest dentist. (No start should have been a choice in this case) I went for a routine check-up and a hygiene session. After taking an X-ray he booked four sessions for repairs ( drilling and filling 5 of my teeth.) by causing me panic of having pain soon. 1.He drilled out and refilled one which was the worst experience of dental repair I ever had. lots of pain due to shortage of anesthetic ( probably to save on material) then had to inject more causing very long numbness and discomfort. 2. I went to two other dentists for the second and the third opinions. It was shocking to hear both confirmed no repair needed at all; whereas another four sessions were already booked! 3. It is now a few years since and still all fine. I have visited a total of four different dentists and had routine checks and I only feel sorry for whoever walks into this guy’s practice.

Was seen a couple if weeks ago by new dentist, who was fantastic. I have recommended them to many friends, a lot of whom are dental phonic because I know they will be out at ease and looked after so well.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this surgery for approximately 45 years and despite now living some 35 miles away I would still rather travel than change dentist. Mr Adey is extremely professional, always abreast of new treatments and very, very, knowledgeable on the subject of dentistry. As a patient he has always explained to me what treatment he needs to undertake and why and this had helped considerably with my confidence. The staff are friendly and the surgery is modern, bright and well equipped. All in all the staff ore dedicated to doing everything possible to keep your teeth and gums healthy. Fantastic experience: This is a very friendly practice and in my experience the standards of dental care offered are very high. The atmosphere is professional but relaxed - there are no battleaxe receptionists here! Prices seem to be about average for the area. An added bonus is that it is in a lovely old Victorian house with lots of character.

Fantastic experience: Despite hating dentists and everything about them, I've seen Dr Adey about 6 l times over the last 12 months or so. Every time he has been kind and compassionate throughout the appointment. He is not pushy; allowing the patient to be in complete control of what happens and if/when the treatment happens. He always gives a range of options for treatment, always considering "do nothing," whilst trying to practice minimally invasive dentistry as far as possible. The reception staff are also very friendly and always give you a smile. Couldn't recommend the entire Larcholme team enough.
