My mum started to experience pain from one of her teeth, she went to her usual dental practice and was told that they were fully booked and she would have to wait 1 week before she could be seen. Mum is 82 years old, and I have read and heard people say that it is best to seek medical help asap to avid any infections or worse case scenario possible Sepsis. I called Healthy Smiles on a Monday and they booked mum in for the next day. When we arrived we were welcomed and promptly seen by the Dentist. He immediately saw that mum's tooth was bleeding and was infected, just to confirm this an X ray was done and yes it was infected. Antibiotics were prescribed and mum was booked in for the following Monday to have the tooth removed and glad to say all went well. Had mum not gone private there is a very strong possibility that the infection would have spread and would have become a medical emergency. Thank you Dr Kumar and the staff at Healthy Smiles for a great service.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been having some dental treatment with healthy smiles and would recommend them I was very nervous and was worried but was amazed at how comfortable and relaxed they made me feel . After a few hours of struggling, I ended up in A&E, where I was told I had an exposed nerve. I was given painkillers and antibiotics, but nothing helped—the pain was excruciating. I had an emergency appointment today due to throbbing pain caused by my stubborn wisdom tooth. Dr. Minal given me an option to have antibiotics or have it removed. Dr. Kumar said he can remove it today under local anaesthesia or to book some other time. I decided to have it removed to stop my suffering from pain. Dr. Kumar with assistance of Dr Minal removed my stubborn wisdom tooth gently without me experiencing any pain or discomfort. Fantastic experience: This is my third root canal treatment and I must admit it was the best . Easy to book , easy to find , easy parking .. Very welcome reception. Surgery sooo clean !! And most of all Dr Kumar ! Very professional,very friendly , explained all the details.. Did his job absolutely fantastic! And even emailed me pictures of the treatments ! Fantastic experience: I suffered sudden pain in a tooth that had already had a root canal treatment, and reached out to Dr Kumar Thanki following a referral from a friend who is a retired periodontist. He is a patient of Dr Thanki’s which was a good recommendation itself. Dr Thanki saw me within a week, and did a really incredible job identifying the fact that a hidden canal existed. He then proceeded to treat it without damaging the existing root canal treatments, or destroying the crown. My regular dentist indicated that I would likely require an extraction, but Dr Thanki’s careful and exacting work appears to have saved the day. We’re so impressed by the experience that the whole family has decided to switch our dental clinic to Healthy Smiles and Dr Thanki. 5 Stars +. The one hour plus drive is worth it!

Was suffering from gum bleeds and gum disease the doctor did caught it at very early stage and provided the best treatment and my gum bleeds stopped. I would only recommend healthy smiles for treatment as I found it very professional and excellent service compared to my last dentist which was luton dental and eye care at George Street town centre and the service provided over there was terrible as they ignored my condition and told me I was alright and just to use corsodyl but I had a severe gum infection which they did not catch or treat. Many thanks to Doctor kanthi and team.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Healthy Smiles for over 5 years. Last year accidentally my tooth got hit with a bottle and cracked my tooth in half. I’ve always trusted Dr Kumar with my teeth and with my recent incident he did not fail me. Dr Kumar from the outset has always explained the different stages of my implant process. From start to finish Dr Kumar, Dr Minal and the team have all been brilliant and looked after me. Booking appts, filling in Covid forms has been very simple and the clinic has been of a high standard and kept very clean. I never forget on my final appt of fitting in my implant the whole team came in too see how the end product looked as they all felt really connected and have been there as part of my journey. Great team and will recommend any patients to visit the practice!

Negative experience: Very disappointing. Myself and my family of 5 have been using Dr Kumar for over 15 years. Only to be told during Covid that myself and my husband would need to change to private patients. Not great but we accepted it. Then to recieve text messages in january saying that our 3 under 16 children would have to change to private patients also. So disappointed that Dr Kumar decided to put earning more money before the care of his patients.
