Fantastic experience: My experience with aligners at Portman Smile Clinic was great from start to finish. The treatment was much faster than I expected and the final result is perfect. I barely felt any pain at all, which really surprised me, as the aligners are very gentle and comfortable. The orthodontists were excellent and always made me feel at ease. The nurses were so kind and supportive, and the reception team was always friendly and helpful. You can really tell that the clinic is very well managed and that they care about their patients. I’m really happy with my smile now and I would 100% recommend Portman Smile Clinic to anyone looking for a smooth and positive orthodontic experience.

Fantastic experience: I had my aligner treatment at Portman Smile Clinic and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the result. The treatment was really quick and my tooth looks absolutely perfect now. I was a bit nervous at the beginning, but it was almost painless — the aligners were very comfortable and easy to get used to. All the orthodontists were amazing, very kind and professional, and they always explained everything clearly, which made me feel relaxed and confident. The whole team was lovely, from the reception staff to the nurses and management. Everyone was friendly, organised and welcoming every time I visited. I’m so happy I chose Portman Smile Clinic and I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about aligners, especially teenagers like me!

Negative experience: As much as the staff were quick and polite, their availability is absolutely shocking. I went in for a consultation under the assumption that I’d be able to come in soon after to have a root canal, and an extraction done. However they stuck me with a dentist that was leaving literally two weeks after, who’s last and only available day was the 12th, which I am away on (I wanted this done before hand so I can avoid being in pain abroad), and then the next available dentist is only available in January?! I was only informed that the dentist was leaving, and that no other dates or dentists will be available, so I have wasted my money on a consultation for nothing.

Negative experience: Absolutely and totally disorganised reception, constantly cancelling, rebooking and cancelling again with no apology. They dont seem to have a clue when their dentist is in. Paying loads of money for sons teeth extractions and braces that should've been done weeks ago but they have no idea how to manage their diary. Useless and inefficient considering its a private practice.

Negative experience: the dentist in the recording is very professional and very nice to his clients, but we were poorly introduced to the clinic by the secretaries who misled us. I hope that other people will not be as disappointed as we were after coming to this office. after the end of our meeting, we were also told in the office that this matter would be clarified and a person from above would contact us, the director of the company has not contacted us so far after misleading us and our time that we wasted in this salon ‍♀️ if someone doesn't agree with me, they understand. I just expressed my opinion. After the first visit with my husband to this office, I think it's extremely unprofessional... But it's just my opinion and like I said, I'm disappointed because I lost my time and money which I didn't get back ..

Fantastic experience: My daughter is almost finishing her treatment at Portman Clinic, I just want to express my appreciation for the customer service they give, from the receptionist (so well organized) to all the dentists that assisted my daughter, they all were very respectful and friendly, and every time I needed an explanation about next steps, they were patient to explain it to me.

Negative experience: Fiona is dismissive towards parent. Doesn’t greet parent, even though parent is present in room. In direct conversation with child only. Will only answer to child and ignore parent completely. Possibly racist as I’m dark skinned Very rude. Possibly busy but no common courtesy to acknowledge parents. Parents pay the bill after all. This place has ALWAYS had an atmosphere and it seems like no one’s happy there. It seems like people can’t be bothered to be there! Our visits are always brief. It’s almost like you are inconveniencing them for being there. Not the service you would expect to have when you’re paying privately for treatment. My NHS dentists are so much better and has the time for you and has always greeted us with a smile and excellent customer experience. Shame! As I have a daughter that needs braces but won’t be going here. Horrible place!

Positive experience: My daughter was accepted for Orthodontics with the NHS only to be told we would need to wait a year, lucky for us that time was halved. Friendly and informative staff.

Negative experience: Unfortunately can’t recommend this clinic. I have emergency as lock in orthodontic appliance needed to be glued back in and caused discomfort also inconvenience. I’ve been told that they don’t take new clients in for that particular reason and did not take into consideration any of my explanation that I actually haven’t got any of the orthodontist in place in uk. Also terrible,sarcastic and ironic customer service.

Fantastic experience: I did hygiene last month at Portman Smile Clinic with Mr Osman, and it was very good, he is very detail-oriented and I am very happy with the result. And I have to mention Mary from the reception team, she is super kind and helpful in finding a last-minute time on his agenda. The clinic has an awesome team. I definitely will be back and will recommend it to my family and friends.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant service and communication with the whole process of having braces and all of the different options available

Negative experience: A sadly negative experience at this practice with both of my children. Feedback on specifics has been sent to Portman Smile and will hopefully be taken on board for future patients. We have now moved to a different practice for orthodontic care. I urge the team at Portman Smile to reflect on how they interact with patients (particularly children) and how they react to concerns. Having worked in healthcare, I know that being able to question your own behaviour and actions is crucial to patient care. Knee-jerk defensiveness is rarely productive.

Negative experience: I was beyond dissatisfied with our first visit to the clinic. My son had been referred by his usual dentist. On arrival at the clinic we were greeted by a lovely friendly receptionist but that's where the friendliness stopped!! We were called into the consult room where the dentist didn't acknowledge us at all, no introduction, no greeting, nothing. My son sat in the chair and the only thing the dentist said was " right let's look at your teeth" this was the only time he engaged with my son during the appt. He didn't discuss why we'd been referred or if we had any questions. He said my son didn't need a brace and that was that (maybe we wouldn't be spending money and so weren't important) I'm so disappointed, I work in a health care setting myself and wouldn't dream of not introducing myself to a patient. I would not recommend this clinic if this is routinely how they treat their patients.

Dentists can be a daunting place for children but all Portman Smile staff from Reception to Consultants made my child feel at ease and comfortable. In addition to this during lockdown I was unable to enter the clinical spaces - but this did not phase my son at all as he knew it was a welcoming space. Thank you for everything you have done for us over the last 15-16 months !!!

Fantastic experience: They provide a very warm, friendly and professional service. My son had braces fitted and they were very caring and attentive to make sure he was comfortable. They also gave lots of helpful advice regarding care for the braces. We highly recommend this business. The building is immaculately clean and they even have a nice picture on the ceiling to amuse patients whilst they are having their braces fitted.
