Fantastic experience: I was very apprehensive about having a dental procedure carried out due to a previous negative experience elsewhere but Sandeep & the team were very understanding of my concerns. Sandeep explained the procedure & the reason why he felt there had been issues last time. He was nothing but understanding, calm & reassuring.

The dentist Sandeep was excellent, and the receptionist was super accommodating with a last minute private check up and hygienist appointment for me and a NHS check up for my two year old. Easy to reclaim via Bupa policy.

He has done an amazing job keeping the practice’s welcoming and professional. As always, the care is brilliant! Sandeep is thorough, knowledgeable, and knows the history behind your treatment, he always takes the time to explain and give you the options. I’ve always appreciated the family friendly environment, I feel this is essential for me and my family as I have two children who have also seen Sandeep for many years. The staff are friendly, and send reminders about your appointments so they aren't missed. Great dental surgery.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant service from the staff at Queen Street Dental Clinic, called with painful toothache and they managed to fit me in right away with a cancellation no problem at all, explained the issue I was having to the excellent dentist Sandeep who knew exactly what the problem was and explained it simply and what the options were, within 30 mins I had an x-ray and a tooth extraction carried out, it was that painless during the procedure that I didn't even know he'd done it at the time! I have been part of this practice for 20+ years now and never had any issues, would highly recommend if anyone was looking for a local dentists.

She never stops and makes the whole experience feel so smooth and stress-free. The dentist is incredibly professional, thorough, and honestly one of the best I’ve ever seen. They explain everything clearly, put you at ease, and you know you’re in safe hands with their expertise and care. A fantastic practice all around – friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. Negative experience: My first visit was over a year ago. I told the dentist that I was afraid of needles, so he put a temporary filling in and I was put on a waiting list to be sedated. I never got a call, just kept getting letters to say that they had failed to contact me, even though they never rang me. I went here a few more times but wasn't helped. My last visit, the dentist was nasty and made me feel bad. Refused to help because I have a needle phobia. I went to another practice and found out that my tooth now has to be extracted. If Queen Street had helped me in the first place, instead of making me feel bad about being afraid of needles, I wouldn't have this problem. AVOID, go to S J Smiths instead, much more helpful

Fantastic experience: I registered with Queen Street after being away from Whitehaven for a few years. I had my first appointment and a cleaning. I think Bernabe (the dentist), the receptionist and nurses are all lovely. Booking the appointments was straight forward, on both days they saw me punctually, and made me feel comfortable. I have already booked my next appointment in 9 months. I highly recommend this dental surgery.

My youngest was seen within 20 mins that same day and my eldest has an appointment on Monday. Can't ask for more than this. They had been on the waiting list for a while, they had rang me at the beginning of January but we were away on holiday. All reception staff friendly. Dentist was lovely and knowledgeable. Positive experience: I received a very well organised emergency dental appointment after speaking with 111 service. The receptionist is not very friendly and doesn’t make you feel very welcome. Had to wait for my appointment for 20 minutes. The place looks dirty and not cared for. Equipment is old fashioned and it all looks very tired in this place. Had to have an X-ray in order to see the issue. I was prescribed antibiotics for the infection and that worked well but was told it might need further treatment. So I requested twice verbally at reception for my X-ray pictures and was told to put it in a letter to get it emailed to me. So I did and till today still no reply and no copy of my X-ray. I think that customer service has been forgotten in this clinic. I flown to turkey to get my follow up treatment. What a different service and treatment.

Negative experience: We got an NHS emergency appointment two days in advance for my husband, which we thought was great. When we arrived on the day we were very disappointed. Not only were we made to wait while the receptionist viewed someone's family photos but in general the staff were rude and discourteous. The dentist looked like he didn't want to be there as did the nurse. The level of care and skill didn't seem to be taken when assessing my husband's needs. In all, we are voting with our feet. We won't be coming back here again and have registered with a different practice. First impressions count. You treat people how you expect to be treated. You guys failed.

Negative experience: Was refused antibiotics for ongoing problems with a wisdom tooth, a couple days later the abscess was so bad the emergency dentist sent me straight to A&E to get it drained and the tooth removed

Fantastic experience: I had a fall yesterday and damaged my front tooth, contacted Queen Street Dental Practice who I have been going to for years and was given an appointment the day after. Went to the appointment and within half an hour my front tooth was built back up and you wouldn’t know I had even damaged it. Thankyou all keep up the excellent work

Negative experience: Called to cancel a booking and was met with the snottiness and rudest receptionist in my life was told it was my 3rd cancellation when I have never booked there before and had all my treatment abroad previously had to cancel due to work commitments was actually calling to book in for a hour hygiene but simply will never go there trying to call potential new customers liars leaves a lot to be desired from a customer service perspective

Fantastic experience: This practice continues to impress! One of my molars completely fell to pieces on Sunday evening. On Monday morning Diane got me an appointment with Sandeep, the dentist, for Wednesday lunchtime. The tooth was too far gone so he sealed it and also noticed that another tooth needed a filling. I was referred to Soorya, the therapist, who only 35 minutes later) did the filling and descaled my teeth. Amazing service and everyone is so friendly and welcoming.
