Fantastic experience: Very polite and professional service. Definitely recommend

Positive experience: I have been a patient since August, and it's been a mixed experience. I saw Dr Hindocha for an initial examination and she took x-rays, etc and was very thorough. She said I needed a couple of fillings (which I was aware of), and said that my tooth that was giving me the most discomfort had exposed dentine which needed a fluoride treatment. I had the fillings completed without anaesthetic and had no pain or discomfort, which was great after the issues I had with another practice. I also had a hygienist appointment and he was very thorough, although I wasn't impressed that he pushed an interdental brush between my teeth and made my gum sore/bleed after I said I didn't want it. I have been asking for a price for the fluoride treatment on and off since my initial appointment in August and no one has ever gotten back to me with a price ("I'm new, I will get back to you", "The practice manager is in a meeting, I will get back to you", "The dentist is away, I'll get back to you"). On the last call, I was told that if I don't have a price by my next appointment, the dentist will be able to do the treatment at the same time as my check up. Today, they have called to confirm my appointment and I asked again, only to be told because it's been more than 2 months since my last appointment, I need another check up before they can book the treatment! Each appointment, I have to finish work early and walk for 20 minutes to get to the practice, so I wanted to get everything sorted in 1 appointment. I was told that my appointment is only 10 minutes, so they can move it to an earlier slot and then confirm next week whether they can do the treatment or not, meaning that I will have to finish work an hour early to potentially still need another appointment. Overall, the treatments have been fine, but the lack of communication is bringing down what would otherwise be a positive experience.

I am a very nervous patient who does not like going to the dentist and Naveen provided the best care and knowledge and I felt safe and happy throughout the procedure. Fantastic experience: Referred to Smile Care dental clinic by my dentist to carry out a problematic root canal. Dr Karir and his dental nurse were excellent throughout the two appointments I had. They are extremely thorough, explaining everything before, during and after the treatment. The actual treatment was painless. Reception dealt with appointment scheduling and reminders efficiently. Particularly liked the added touch of a follow up call after the treatment to check how I was recovering which sums up how much they care about their patients.

Fantastic experience: After having root canal treatment 3 years ago, I was starting to get the flare up in the same tooth with unbearable pain. I was reffered to Smile Dental Clinic for specialist root canal treatment. Dr Naveen explained the entire process thoroughly, as well as all the possible options and the risks involved. I was constantly reassured throughout the treatment and a follow up to check on the progress was provided too. A year on, and my tooth is making progres in recovering. Fantastic experience: I had my re-root canal done at this practice over six months ago, and haven’t had any issues with it since. Recently, I returned for another root canal on a tooth that already had a failed root canal elsewhere. The specialist was incredibly honest and upfront, explaining that my tooth had a crack and that extraction would be the best option. This level of honesty and professionalism really stood out to me and reassured me of the quality of care they provide. As a fellow dental nurse, it was also refreshing to see the dentist and dental nurse working together with mutual respect. Fantastic experience: I was referred to the Smile Care clinic from my NHS dental practice as I required treatment which was of a nature that they were unable to handle. The work, which involved both surgery and root work, was carried out by Mr Naveen Karir and, I have to say, was carried out with the least amount of discomfort or pain on my part. The work was carried out over three sessions (including a 3D scan) and immediately cured the problem I was having and has been fine ever since (approximately 6 months). I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Karir to anybody requiring dental work.

Negative experience: This place is a circus! I only went because I was referred by a friend because I had a few long standing issues. The communication is awful, and after 5 visits AND spending 400 pounds, I'm no further forward. They'll rinse you for money gladly, and totally overlook what's best for the patient! Went to Oakdale Dentist on Fosse Road and they are AMAZING! They came up with a comprehensive treatment plan on the first visit, clear communication as to what needs doing and how! Spent £180 on 3 visits to the Hygienist who rattled around and barely done anything! Spent £80 at Oakdale who done an amazing clean in one visit! DON'T BOTHER GOING HERE! Save yourself headache and money by going somewhere professional!

Process has been upgraded to notifications by email and text reminders - liking the pre-appointment email where you can update your records, medical report and pre appointment covid questionnaire from the comfort of your own home. Fantastic experience: I had some composite bonding treatment with Dr B Hindocha and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. The whole process and level of service was remarkable. I have always been a bit conscious of the aesthetic of my teeth and had considered different types of treatment but when I mentioned this to my actual dentist (Dr Vishali Hindocha, who is also a fantastic dentist at the surgery) she walked me through my options in a really easy and simple to understand manner. I’ve had the composite bonding for just short of 2 years and I have been looked after throughout the whole process - before, during and after. I would highly recommend that anyone who is looking for a boost in confidence, aesthetic change to their smile that is not invasive to book a consultation with Dr B Hindocha. The treatment is so easy and done in just over an hour. The overall experience I’ve had with this surgery over the past 25 years as a patient has always been pleasant and every dentist/ hygienist I’ve seen has always made me feel at ease. All other places whoever I called said, they will take only private patients but not NHS. Even other dentists' surgeries did not bother to register my 2 young ones. The service was very fast. Fantastic experience: I was so happy with my experience at Smile Care Dental Clinic. From my initial conversation with the friendly reception staff all the way to the end of my treatment. I had to have a root canal on one of my front teeth and I was really upset about it, so was anxious at all my appointments. I am so glad my crooked teeth days are behind me, I no longer have to hide my mouth and smile when speaking to people or when taking pictures. From start to finish of my Invisilign treatment I have been constantly supported with the process, I have been able to ask questions, week on week I had a new aligner set and now that I'm at the end of the programme I can honestly say it was worth the wait. I highly recommend Smile Care Dental Clinic staff, the process and the treatment. I want to say a special thanks to Dr Gurinder Atwal, his assistant Parul, the wonderful reception staff Shivali and last but not least practice manager Vishali Hindocha who has been a real enabler in championing for dental hygiene in the community she serves and beyond. Every time I go into the dentist there is some new project or competition she has launched with school children or donations of dental items to local community groups. I feel so happy right now I'm showing my smile off to everyone when I'm not in my face mask!!!
