Fantastic experience: As a very nervous patient I was made to feel extremely at ease today whilst having two fillings with Katerina. Extremely patient with me from the minute I arrived and the whole process was completely fine and pain free. I worked myself up over nothing! Couldn’t recommend Katerina highly enough - especially for nervous dentist goers!

Fantastic experience: Years of personal neglect meant that all of my teeth and gums were in a right old state. Carl Taylor (Dentist) and Sarah Carr (Dental Hygienist) have between them salvaged what could have been a piteous future for my teeth and the prospect of eating with a lot fewer teeth. Consummate professionalism from all concerned and totally pain free dentistry. Add to that the friendliness and non-judgemental outlook and I would never consider going to any other dentist. Hooray for totally pain free !!!! Almost 2 years later Haider (the dentist) and Omar (the assistant) at very short notice (literally a couple of hours) managed to extract, totally painlessly, a molar that was giving me excruciating pain. Haider was fast, efficient and gave me sufficient injections such that I could not even tell when he had extracted the tooth. Taylored Dental Care Idle have come to my rescue yet again. It is now up to me mostly to try to retain the few teeth that I still have in my mouth. I now get totally free dental care due to my illness.Private dental care is now ridiculously expensive.

Fantastic experience: really friendly and good for people who feel anxious about going to the dentist. everyone is great and make you feel calm if you’re someone who can get quite worried about going to the dentist. would highly recommend, the team are lovely.

Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to the dentist in a very long time. I came to Taylored Dental after hearing positive experiences from a family member who has been with them for some time. I needed quite a lot of work doing which I was apprehensive about but Kat was amazing. She was so patient and explained everything to me as she was doing it. I felt completely at ease and wondered why I hadn't visited sooner! At my final appointment from my treatment plan, they presented me with some gorgeous flowers which was such a lovely touch. Dare I say, I'm looking forward to my check up in 6 months! Thank you Taylored Dental

Negative experience: Mixed experiences: Be cautious when considering treatment recommendations I've had varied experiences at this practice. While I'm satisfied with my current dentist, I had concerning experiences with a previous dentist that I believe others should be aware of. 1. I was recommended an expensive night guard for teeth grinding, despite minimal evidence of this issue and in a way that I believe plays on people's anxiety so they jump at solving the problem. The guard when delivered was so bulky, it was horrendous to use and alternative options were not discussed that I only discovered after. But to make this worse, when I received a second opinion it turns out I wasn't grinding my teeth at all. The treatment was not necessary. 2. During a wisdom tooth extraction, the dentist was very rough during the procedure, at one point they were stretching my jaw so wide it felt like it was at risk of breaking. At one point, their instrument slipped and crashed into my other teeth, very surprised this didn't cause damage. Overall, I experienced discomfort that went beyond what I'd get for a tooth extraction. It's very difficult to get these sort of businesses to take accountability, reviews like this feel like the only way. I did raise this with Taylored Dental but received the standard response of 'we're sorry you feel this way'. Overall, I would recommend being cautious when getting treatment recommendations that you actually need it. Edit: Changed to one star due to continued lack of the practice taking accountability or apologising.

Fantastic experience: This review is a little delayed (February 2021)as I did not realise I could leave it via Google! ( I’m not on FB) I have been with TDC for years now since they took over from my previous dentist. Last year I decided to have whitening and composite veneers on my two front teeth. I cannot say enough about how great they are! Haider was brilliant and my teeth look so natural lots of people have not even noticed! Of course I have also had ‘usual’ treatments too including root canal work. All the staff and of course Haider were so friendly and kind- no pain and carried out very professionally. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough.

I was treated by Kat and she couldn't have been more understanding and went through every step/process in my treatment plan. I was put at ease and felt relaxed in all the work I had done, I would have no hesitation in recommending Taylored Dental Practice. Thankyou Kat x My next stage was getting new metal (titanium) dentures top and bottom both part not full dentures. Matt was the technician in constructing my new teeth, what I have found is the care and attention to detail was next to none. Any questions were answered any worries or anxieties have gone out of the window. Did I have sore gums no! They fitted more or less perfectly of course there were some tiny adjustments but all in all I'm so happy with the end results, I feel as though I can smile again . Thank you again Matt for the brilliant work you have done and it's down to you I can once again smile just in time for my hols . Fantastic experience: UPDATE July 2025 I’ve just completed an implant treatment with Wasim who has also demonstrated the 5 star care that I have come to expect from Taylored Dental Care from initial consultation, throughout the process to it’s conclusion. First class service! Having just completed a root canal treatment with Katerina in Idle I have to give 5 stars to Taylored Dental Care for the care they provide. The whole treatment plan was a two-way process as Katerina was great at listening to my concerns and ‘tayloring’ my treatment to accommodate those concerns. I’ve been with the Idle practice for over five years now but was previously with the Keighley practice where I was always equally happy with the treatment provided by Graham and the team there. If you’re considering Taylored Dental Care, you won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: As a really anxious and nervous patient I cannot recommend Taylored Dental Care Idle enough. I have been avoiding the dentist for years. After finally taking the leap I was made to feel so cared for and as such I have completed around 4 visits in 6 months to complete all my outstanding work (5 fillings). I will never be a fan of the dentist but I now go knowing I will be made to feel so comfortable and understood. Thanks for all the help and the great service :)

Fantastic experience: Had my six month check up with Katerina last week and discovered that I needed a filling, an appointment with Charlotte the practise therapist was made for the following week, as a senior citizen in her mid seventies with extreme dental phobia due to very bad experiences with the school dentist this made me feel very nervous, I had my filling yesterday and I can honestly say to anyone who is as nervous about the dentist as I am that this is the dental practise to go to, from Charlotte coming down to reception to collect me right through to the filling itself the whole experience was pain free. Thank you to all the staff at Idle for making their patients feel welcome.

Negative experience: I would like to share my disappointing experience and express my frustration with the dental practice, where I have been a patient for the past ten years. In late March last year, my veneer broke. When I contacted the dental practice, I was informed that I was no longer registered as I hadn't seen a dentist in some time. The receptionist was extremely helpful and kind—she explained the registration process and the costs involved and booked me an emergency appointment for the most affordable treatment option. As a result, I had my tooth repaired, paid for the emergency appointment, re-registered with the practice, and also had a deep clean—altogether costing around £500. However, around 9/10 months later, part of the filling (i.e. front tooth) that was repaired broke while I was eating fish and chips. I booked an appointment with the dentist and was informed that the repair was not under warranty because it was done as an emergency procedure. I found this disappointing, as I understand that even NHS treatments typically come with a 12-month warranty (though I acknowledge emergency procedures may not be included—I could be wrong). One of my concerns is that I was not fully informed of all my options at the time, including the fact that the emergency repair would not be covered under any warranty. The main concern was that the dentist explained that my filling broke (i.e. front tooth broke in half) because the repair was done incorrectly i.e. the bite was wrong (in essence the tooth was too big) essentially suggesting that the original repair was done incorrectly. Given that I paid for the original repair, and the dentist acknowledged that the bite was not correctly aligned, I would have expected the team to take responsibility and repair the tooth accordingly. Instead, I was offered a veneer or crown at a cost of £1,200, with an initial 10% discount—later increased to 20% following my complaint. In my opinion, the very least that could be done is to rectify the issue by providing an emergency appointment and restoring the tooth properly, with the correct bite. I want to emphasise that the staff have always been friendly and my overall experience has generally been five-star.

Fantastic experience: I had a double filling with this afternoon with Charlotte Helliwell and her assistant. The whole experience was exemplary. The care and reassurance from start to finish is the best I have ever experienced and as a senior citizen I have visited the dentist on many,many occasions.

As soon as you walk through the door you're welcomed by such friendly receptionists and they've always got a smile on their faces. Katerina is an amazing dentist. So kind and pays great attention to detail to your teeth. If you ever have any concerns she'll put your mind at ease. I always leave with a big smile on my face and I would very highly recommend Taylored Dental Care Idle.

Fantastic experience: I’ve never been one to have any issue at dentists or anything like that, but even disregarding that, this has been the best dental experience I’ve had. I booked an examination to start with and that was incredibly thorough and comprehensive. It turned out I needed a couple of fillings so I had two additional appointments and both were exceptional. A clear patient focused approach throughout and Katerina was upbeat and chirpy at all times, which made it a bit less serious than some dentist experiences can be (in the best way possible). I’ve since joined the membership and feel better about my dental health and the treatment I get than I have ever done before.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Taylored Dental Care in Idle, the whole team are professional, polite and compassionate about their work. If you are nervous or anxious about going to the dentist make an appointment with Kat. She will make you feel comfortable and at ease with her calm friendly manner. During my recent treatment I had several appointments, at each one Kat explained what she was going to do and communicated throughout the procedure ensuring I was not feeling any discomfort. The whole process was totally pain free, thank you Kat and your team you are all amazing.

Fantastic experience: I know it can be an upsetting experience loosing some or all of your teeth. However I can 100% say visit Matt. His work is amazing. He is thorough, explains things in an easy to understand way and takes the time to prepare ..taking mouth impressions etc...in order to make a bespoke denture thats just for you. If you are thinking about it don't...make an appointment with Matt you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: At 87yo I needed advice regarding my present dentures. My appointment was timeous. I was given thorough and extensive advice by Matt without any hint of “ hard sell”. I left with the intention of pondering until my present situation eases. I was treated with courtesy by all staff and so recommend them highly. If only more businesses could be like this……..

Positive experience: So disappointed with the dentures I had made privately quote was £1800 but actually over £2300 without any extra work been done an charged if they needed alterations which all dentures need to take any sharp bits from been made 2 years ago an no better than old NHS ones.so disappointed I not had money to go back for alterations that was needed Ian Kershaw

Fantastic experience: Well I was scared of visiting the dentist after a past bad experience, so after searching the web for a dentist with good reviews I made an appointment with Taylored Dental Care , going in with my fears was soon sorted out the dentist and all her staff made me feel at ease . I had to have three fillings also deep cleans which I was dreading, to be honest I cannot believe why I didn’t visit sooner I didn’t feel any pain and my white knuckles are a thing of the past ! Katerina one of the Dentists there removed my tooth and was so professional, I've never had a dentist experience as quick and smooth as this one... Fantastic experience: I recently had a crown fitted at Tayiored Dental Care, Idle. The whole experience was a lot less stressful than I expected. The dentist Kat was patient and kind making sure I was comfortable with each procedure. It was painless and efficient. The staff on the whole were polite and friendly.

Fantastic experience: The fear of the unknown can be overwhelming. The thought of getting extractions, fillings and crowns can mean putting off what is necessary. I've had a years worth of treatment and NOT ONCE did I feel pain. Dr Katerina is a fantastic dentist. She is thorough and jolly as she works.she often hums to the tunes on a quiet smooth radio station which on one long appointment made me fall asleep. Fantastic experience: I went to Taylored Dental in Idle, after worrying for many months beforehand.As a very nervous patient, I chose this place because on the website they genuinely seem to understand how some people feel about dentists. I had a negative experience at my previous dentist so had been even more put off. This really is the best place to go. Warm and welcoming, and all the staff are so friendly and put you at ease. Kat, and her assistant Kim are fantastic!!! At the first visit they were keen to know my worries, and what would work for ME, so they could make it easier for me. I mentioned that I did not want to know any medical type details, took some earphones and a radio, took a fiddle toy where you pop bubbles in it (from £1 shop) to keep me occupied!!! and we talked about holidays, gardening, anything else apart from the work being done, unless it was necessary. They understand totally, and are sympathetic, as there are many people who are apprehensive. They are warm and friendly, and genuinely caring. I had quite a few appointments, but felt fine because I had got to know them. Taking the first step is always the hardest but I am so glad I did. A first class service.

Fantastic experience: Having been an extremely anxious dental patient all of my adult life, I’d managed to avoid trips to the dentist for almost 10 years. Just the thought of picking up the phone to book would send me spiralling into panic, so, at my request my husband booked me in. Initially I chatted with the practice over the phone, then plucked up the courage to go in person. Everyone at Taylored made me feel comfortable and as at ease as possible, the reception team are lovely, the hygienists are friendly, helpful and Kat the dentist is literally amazing. I’ll never be excited to go, but I can say honestly, I feel safe, confident and comfortable in their hands. All of the fears I had have gone.
