Negative experience: they give disgusting information over the phone about treatments, pump out money, deceive. For example, I called and wanted to put in a permanent composite filling. Usually such a filling can cost a maximum of 200 pounds because there is no need to treat the canals. The receptionist made an appointment for me emergrncy situation when I had no pain and no need. When I came to visit them on Saturday, they put in a temporary filling for me for 145 pounds. They did a preliminary x-ray and the doctor Dmitry Mantazis said that I need to make an appointment for a permanent composite filling within two weeks. I asked him why you are not doing it now because this is my goal to do it and forget. He said that he does not have time for this. I asked the price of 250 pounds. Totally 395!this is not the final price Because when I spoke to the manager without a doctor she told me the price of the second visit is 300 pounds I understand that the main goal of this private clinic is to sign up a patient, counting on the fact that he is a complete fool and does not understand anything about prices or procedures for as many visits as possible for the most expensive visits they sign up to earn as much money as possible and it does not matter how the patient feels at the same time having paid 445 pounds for a simple composite filling!!!!

Fantastic experience: When you find a really good dentist it can improve so much about your life. Rachil has given me so much confidence to do the things that need doing that I would have put off otherwise because she's so good. I believe she's a master - her technique not only makes work seem fast but even extractions are painless. I've had two wisdom teeth out with Rachil and she's so good I asked when the tooth was coming out when she stopped to talk to me about aftercare after about 5 minutes in. I genuinely could not tell she'd already done it.

Fantastic experience: I called Hove Dental Clinic needing an emergency appointment, as I had severe dental pain due to a lack of care on my part. The receptionist was very understanding and accommodating, and arranged for an appointment within 20 minutes of my call. I saw Dr Luikenga who was fantastic, she diagnosed the problem and gave me the option to have it treated immediately or book a follow-up appointment. I chose the latter and she prescribed some medication to keep things at bay until then. I think she sacrificed her lunch break to see me, which goes to show how caring they are. I then saw Dr Mantazis who was also amazing - if like me, you get yourself unnecessarily anxious about dental work then I can strongly recommend Hove Dental Clinic, as both Dentists were extremely kind and reassuring, and took the time to explain everything and allow things to go at my pace. I needed a molar extraction, but didn't feel a thing and was amazed how quickly and painlessly is was performed. I followed Dr Mantazis's advice on aftercare, and it has since fully healed with no issues whatsoever. Everything here was done so well that I am fully converted and will use them as my full-time dentists from now on. I you have a niggling problem, or dental pain, give them a call.

Negative experience: Great 1st appointment for emergency care, terrible second appointment with a different dentist who was rude and patronising

Negative experience: AVOID! Super judgy and not friendly for pregnant women. I was a new patient and having a convo with the doctor, she was interrogating me on why I was taking Aspirin. When I said it was prescribed by my midwife to treat a condition related to pregnancy she just kept on about how I shouldn’t be taking it. It’s not a dentists place to question midwifery. And then she came to whether I smoke or drink. And addressed me like I was lying. I said, I’m pregnant, no. She went on to interrogate me about it. No, I don’t drink when I’m pregnant. And I’m asthmatic so I don’t smoke. I walked out. Rude and judgy. Clearly have no idea what they’re doing.

Fantastic experience: Needed an emergency appointment for a suspected abscess (my regular surgery could not fit me in for 6 days) I called Hove Dental Clinic and got a same day appointment. Dimitri and his team were excellent. Highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: After experiencing some pain I managed to secure a short notice emergency appointment with Dimitri, even though I wasn’t registered with the clinic. He quickly found the problem and I later had a tooth removed (almost painlessly) with minimal fuss. Great manner from Dimitri and his assistant, good clean dental surgery. I’m now going to be using him as my regular dentist.

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom tooth taken out. The service is 5 star. During my treatment for an extraction Dimitri explained every step of the procedure in great detail, and gave me good advice on care after the extraction He put me at my ease and I hardly felt anything. Fantastic experience: Rang at 8.30 in the morning for an emergency appointment and got one for 3.45pm. Was done by 4.30, after having a painless tooth extraction! I am a very very anxious patient (so much so I hadn’t been for 5 years!). But the team were so friendly and lovely throughout the whole process! The dentist explained everything to me and was super clear about my options and cost etc! I even feel confident now to start going back to the dentist regularly! Can’t recommend them enough!

She wasn’t registered with a practice since suddenly changing to just private. Mum had been NHS since 1948. So I hunted for a dentist that she could be seen urgently. I was very lucky to find Hove Dental Clinic. I realised she’d have to go private. Other clinics wouldn’t take her as an urgent patient despite her age. The care this clinic provides is absolutely fantastic. She was booked in swiftly and her dentist was very kind with her, gentle and reassuring. Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend Hove Dental Clinic enough. From Dimitri to the rest of the team, the service was impeccable. From my consultation till the end of my treatment, Dimitri was calm, professional and honest- taking care to explain any procedure done, any questions I had and was transparent enough to sincerely advise me against any procedure that was unnecessary. The surgery was very sanitary, organised and strictly adhered to covid-19 protocols as well. Special s/o to the assistants and receptionists as well for being so welcoming, kind, professional and making the process so much easier than I expected. Fantastic experience: Hove Dental Clinic recently helped with the repair of two teeth which suffered after a year of lockdown. I was seen by Julia Luikenga who I cannot fault. Julia immediately made me feel at ease and clearly explained all available options and resulting procedures. I am slightly nervous patient and always felt I was in very safe hands. I had to have a crown and extraction both of which were carried out faultlessly. The reception staff are equally friendly and helpful. Negative experience: My husband went there with an emergency appointment for which we paid £ 130, they did NOT treat us badly, but they did not solve the problem. We decided to go there because he is close to our home but the emergency cost between 60 and 70 pounds, they charged us double and they only gave him a box of antibiotic that does not cost more than 10 pound at the pharmacy. The solution is to remove or fix the grinding wheel but the prices are exorbitant ranging from 250 to 660 pounds. You must be a millionaire to come to this clinic. They do not even deduct the money you paid on account of the arrangement you have to make. £ 130 incredibly insane and my husband still suffers from his pain. I do not recommend this clinic at all if you do not have money to treat you, in times of covid they should be more sensitive with prices, and it makes me angry that I paid and had no solution, that's wat disappointments mots

Fantastic experience: I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Dimitri and the whole team at Hove Dental Clinic. I am a very nervous patient but the whole process, from the first contact with the reception team to the end of my treatment, including root canal work and an extraction, went smoothly and painlessly. I took the option of sedation with the dental anaesthetist for the root canal and extraction. Now, for the first time ever, I feel confident about returning to a dentist.

Negative experience: Paid £130 for a consultation with Dimitri having cracked a tooth. Had an x ray where there appears to be an infection. Dimitri provided 4 options and explained the best one was to extract the tooth and have an implant. Not knowing any better and being convinced of the implant Dimitri explained that Hove dental practice can not do implants and the best option was a referral to the implant centre as they will make a customised tooth for me and are “by far the best implant centre in the southern region...” unquote. I wanted to get this down very quickly but given the Christmas period it didn’t seem likely however I agreed to the referral. The entire consultation lasted 21 minutes. I was contacted the following day by the implant centre which I was very glad of and they informed me that I needed a consultation for £150...I was gobsmacked and asked why given this is a referral and they should have the X-rays from Dimitri. However the implant centre told me that I needed to have their x-rays. So I am now being asked to pay £280 before anyone addresses my problem? Can this be true because from my experience in other parts of the country you pay for one consultation and then you pay for treatment. I feel like I am being passed around the Hove practices to line the pockets of Dentists who are obviously hard up given the Covid situation where the rest of us are clearly not feeling the financial pain because we are distracted by other pains I then try to complain to the hove dental practice by asking the receptionist what the complaints procedure is who didn’t know but then asked someone and they told her I needed to write in. I then went on the website to find that hove dental practice do actually do implants and the complaints procedure which is supposedly taken so seriously that you have a complaints manager take responsibility for your complaint and if a complaints manager is not available then detailed notes are taken and a complaints manager will contact you within 24 hours of a verbal complaint “ unquote. Hence my one star and I would give it zero if I could, something here does not add up which has broken my trust.

Fantastic experience: I recently had my first appointment at the Hove Dental Clinic and was given a warm welcome by the friendly receptionist. I was very well looked after by the dentist, Dr. Dimitri and his dental nurse, Megan. The surgery was very clean and well organised. This allowed the dentist plenty of time to answer my questions clearly and make them easy to understand. I felt very calm in a highly professional environment. It is a great place for dental check-ups and treatment and is highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I suffered a broken tooth whilst visiting Brighton and the practice managed to squeeze me in last minute. I suffer hugely with dental anxiety and Dimitri made me feel so relaxed. There was even a TV on the ceiling for me to watch and I was asked to pick something that I liked to watch. I am considering coming back to him to have further treatment! Huge thanks to all staff for being so understandable of my nerves.

Fantastic experience: Not a huge fan of going to the dentist but all the staff were very friendly and put me at ease. Fantastic experience: I was a VERY nervous patient and attended (on recommendation) this practice a few years ago. Dimitri completely wowed me! He his caring, empathetic and very kind. If you are a nervous patient please go to him. I am ashamed to admit that I rarely visited a dentist after some awful experiences as a child and I paid the price in having to have a lot of work done and a few gum issues. However I now go regularly for hygiene and check-up's. They never do anything that is unnecessary and always explain everything in straight forward terms. Their work is exemplary. Jenny (hygienist) is equally amazing. I used to have child's numbing gel just for a check-up - that's how bad things were for me! Now I can zone out in the chair and can honestly say I have NEVER been uncomfortable, or worried whilst in their hands. I cannot recommend this team enough. From reception to chair they are wonderful. I travel 40 miles to see them from Fairlight in East Sussex and will continue to do so.

Fantastic experience: I am very impressed by not only the skills and expertise of Dimitri but also his superb judgement and delivery. I’ve had a 12 year problem with a molar that had, at times, caused me excruciating pain but mostly a feeling of being unwell. Having researched the best dentist in Brighton, Dimitri talked through my options and we decided that I should opt for extraction. The extraction was very complex but I felt very little discomfort during the lengthy operation. Aftercare guidance was optimal and follow up timed well. Fantastic experience: I needed to find a new dentist and after a year of searching and visiting various dental practices, I decided to join this clinic. Since that moment I have never looked back and my recent crown filling, excellently carried out to a very high standard by Dimitri, just proved to me I had made the best choice. Dimitri is a great communicator and takes time to explain every procedure in great detail which is most reassuring. Dimitri and the entire team show true professionalism in their work, and at the same time treat me with care, kindness and respect. The modern building, together with the most up to date, high tech equipment (especially those calming blue/orange, overhead lights, TV, strawberry, mint or cinnamon flavour mouthwashes) only adds to a truely amazing dental experience. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Just over 6 months ago, Dimitri successfully fixed a problem which another dentist had been unable to solve, despite two attempts to do so. I am completely pleased with the result. I have just had my first 6-monthly check-up with him and was pleased that the review of the state of my teeth was very thorough. Helpful advice was provided concerning how to keep my teeth in good condition and what I might expect in terms of problems as time moves on.

Fantastic experience: I am really needle phobic and having only just joined the practice hadn’t yet gotten to know any of the staff. The thought of having to have 3 fillings a few weeks ago was filling me with dread to the point where I hadn’t slept properly for a nearly a week beforehand. However Dr Dimitri and his lovely nurse Hayley were so gentle, kind and reassuring that I shouldn’t have worried. The numbing gel beforehand and Dimitri’s administration meant I barely felt the injections at all, for which I am so grateful. And after that, everything else was a breeze. I completely trust them now and am glad to be a patient of this practice where I know I will be taken care of. I also had an appointment with Jen the hygienist last night. She was so gentle, warm and friendly and it was a completely different experience to the hygeinist I had always seen previously. I never realised that a trip to the hygeinist could be so comfortable! I feel very lucky to have found this practice!

Fantastic experience: So around 3 months ago i researched over 30 different dentists in the whole of sussex after being so petrified of the dentist i hadnt been for nearly 5 years i decided to pluck up the courage and go to see dimitri at hove dental clinic. From day 1 of walking through the door i havent felt anything like i did at many other practices i have been to previously. My fears have gone completely and i wouldnt recommend it highly enough! Dimitri and Hayley have changed not only the way i feel about going to the dentist but how much more confident i am with my smile. When i went i knew the condition of my teeth and gums were critical i pulled my own teeth out i had broken teeth, DIY fillings etc and couldnt bare to smile at anything. I have attached a photo of day 1 to now. All i can say is they shudnt be called dentists maybe magicians! For anyone who is thinking about using Hove Dental Clinic i would say dont think twice dont wait around its the perfect place for anyone with or without the fear of going. 5*** .... here is my picture to show you all just the difference!

Fantastic experience: I recently found this excellent dental practice & as a nervous patient this is the best dental care I have ever experienced. My dentist Dimiteri Mantazis & his dental nurse Hayley have helped significantly to cure my anxiety. I no longer fear going to the dentist. The principle hygienist is Jennifer Lynch who is also brilliant & I cant recommend highly enough. The clinic is a cool contemporary design which is calming & the team most welcoming. I used to attend a very expensive London Harley Street practice & I must say Hove Dental Clinic is far better value & superior on all levels. Thank you for all my treatments to date, Kevin Whelan

Fantastic experience: Such great customer service, really look out for you. I haven't been to the dentist for a while and they care for that. Look out for you and very good at giving you detailed instructions. Highly recommend using as your dentist. Price is very good as well!
