Fantastic experience: I woke up one day looked in the mirror and decided to get a new set of teeth,as mine were in a bit of a pickle!! I chose Pura for convenience and the positive reviews.On arrival I was greeted with a friendly smile from Jilly and passed over to Dariush and his assistant Sandra. After a thorough examination I was given a list of procedures and the cost.After the initial shock I decided to go for it.The following week Dariush started to extract numerous teeth to make way for the dental implants.This was the most uncomfortable procedure as I had a few teeth that resembled a sharks!! But for my pain and bravery I received 3 Spider-Man stickers and 1 He-man sticker ( I’m 52 years old). My bottom teeth were completed fairly quickly and work then began on my top teeth,which wasn’t as smooth. I had 4 veneers,and the rest would be implants. Unfortunately after a few months 3 of my implants became loose,and I was able to pull them out myself. The explanation was that my bone structure wasn’t strong enough.After waiting for my bone to grow back(6 months)Dariush started again,this time we had success(at no extra cost) It took a long time to reach the end goal,but now I have a set of Knashers that I can be proud of!! Fantastic experience: I have recently had implant treatment carried out by Dr Dariush Hoshyar. I am so happy with the results and I can highly recommend Pura Dental Care and Dariush for anyone thinking of having implants. After many years of having issues with my teeth I was so pleased to join Pura - the whole team there are so friendly and actually took away my fear of going to the dentist. Dariush is a perfectionist who ensured the treatment I received was 100% perfect for me. For anyone thinking of having implants I would definitely say go for it.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at the practice for about 10 years now, and have always been delighted with the dental care they provide. Dariush (Dr Hoshyar) is kind, considerate and professional. In 2016, I decided that I would like to improve the look of my teeth and, thanks to Dariush, I now have a beautiful set of porcelain veneers. Dariush took me through a treatment plan, explaining every step, and giving me all the time I needed to decide, with several visits to make sure that I understood exactly what was involved. I've been so pleased with the results, and Dariush has continued to look after my new smile. Just occasionally, one of the veneers will need some attention (normal wear and tear), and this ongoing care is all part of the treatment plan. The whole team at the practice are extremely kind and helpful - dentists, hygienists, assistants and receptionists. Excellent service.

Fantastic experience: Wow what service. I walked in with a dodgy tooth that needed a crown. One hour later I walked out with a new crown. New 3D laser technology created a perfectly fitting crown, thanks to Max and the team. The team are wonderful. Covid-19 precautions well and truly in place. Great customer service. Felt totally safe. I actually take the train in from North London as the connection is so easy from London Bridge.

Negative experience: Staff unwelcome, not enthusiastic. I come to this private dentist aiming to do my teeth but she tell me to go to NHS and ring 111. She don't even consider or give me any advice of the service. Didn't she think I don't even have money to pay for that Friday morning/07/01/2022. Visited at 10.20am

Negative experience: Was not made to feel relaxed, cared for or relieved. I chose this dentist as I was impressed by the reviews but they certainly do not reflect my experience at this practice. I needed a-lot of work done and this dentist is rather expensive, I did not feel comfortable going back. I will be going else where. If you are an extremely nervous patient like me do not go here.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience being treated by Dr Laura Lim and her dental Nurse Ann. I arrived with multiple issues with my teeth. Dr Lim helpfully informed me of my treatment options and most time and cost effective way to resolve them. Her dental work was thorough with great attention to detail. I would not have even known she was giving me an injection had it not been for her informing me of the process. I found Ann to be very warm and reassuring and a real comfort as well as doing her job effectively. I would highly recommend them. Even my 5yr daughter asks to come to the dentist to see them.

Fantastic experience: When I've used other Dental Practices in the past, I've been left feeling very anxious and unsure about having dental treatment. Unfortunately this combination put me off attending on a regular basis even though I knew this wasn't good for me. Everything changed after it was recommended that I visit Laura and the team at Avant Garde in New Eltham. Laura (Dentist), Annie (Nurse) and Jilly (Reception) are wonderful at helping me to feel relaxed and well cared for during my visits. Any treatment that is needed is always well explained and has never made me feel remotely uncomfortable but it has certainly made a huge difference to the overall health of my teeth and gums. The improvement has made me feel much happier in myself (I think I actually smile more now) and I can't thank the three of them enough. Things have changed so much that I no longer feel anxious about going to the Dentist and I'll be attending on a regular basis from now on. Rob

Fantastic experience: In my view dentistry is convergence of science, art and communication skills and Max is master in all three. In regard to skill, Max is second to none and makes the difficult look extremely easy. When I saw Max few months back to have my wisdom tooth extracted, I had painful memory of extracting another tooth by another dentist few years back but Max done it so skilfully that the whole process looked very easy. I recently had my 6 teeth filled with the highest standards you can expect. Max communicates every step clearly that put me at ease. I followed Max here from another practice, as he genuinely seemed to be concerned about your welfare and that the experience is as comfortable as it can be ( now bear in mind were talking about the dentist here). The costs are what they are and I would rather go to this practice, where I know the treatment is thorough and the dentist conscientious, you are kept as informed as you choose to be, from looking at your xrays to watching your crown being made. Fantastic experience: Every aspect of my treatment was first class. My recent treatment was partly for the protection of my teeth and partly cosmetic and Dariush is a perfectionist, making the treatment as comfortable as possible with amazing results. Fantastic experience: I have been with this dental practice for many years, since before they moved to New Eltham, I have always found them extremely professional and wouldn't want to go anywhere else, even though, for me, the journey I have now is not as easy as their previous location! Laura the dentist is very thorough, and gives advice on cleaning etc. if she thinks I am not doing it quite correctly! All the staff are very friendly and chatty and make you feel very welcome.

Fantastic experience: The team at Pura / Avant Garde Dental Care is customer focused and personable. Both nurses and receptionist services denoted flexibility when required, as well as a high degree of professionalism in various circumstances. In my experience, if and when possible, a relationship with any physician has to be based on mutual trust and, like all relationships, there has to be an element of personal synergy. Therefore, if meeting a new physician sets off instinctive alarm bells, it may be wise to shop around! Dariush Hoshyar's provided me with dental care for a number of years. Dariush is a high integrity professional with excellent interpersonal skills. These attributes enable him to translate sometimes complex, jargon - laden procedures into layperson's terms and lighten up the whole experience of sitting in the dentist’s chair. This approach also means that the patient will always have clarity on the available options as well as on a recommended course of action. Although Dariush specialised in cosmetic aspects of dentistry, such as implants and reconstruction, his knowledge covers all necessary elements of dental care and he’d always refer the patient to a colleague or an external specialist when required. This means that the patient will always be in safe hands and receiving the best available care. Having recently experienced some fairly intensive procedures, I am exceedingly pleased with the results and I would not hesitate to recommend his services. Keep up the good work!

He has done an amazing job in both placing a strong and stable implant, and straightening and whitening my teeth. Laura (dentist) and Ann (Dental Nurse) work very well together as a team and are very gentle and patient. They explain treatment options in a clear and concise manner. Laura and Ann are very welcoming and never rush you. Receptionist Jill is very helpful,and does her best to accommodate appointment requests and is always cheerful and friendly., parking outside is restricted until 11am but Jill will provide a parking permit if requested. Also the Surgery is on many bus routes and just a few minutes walk from New Eltham Station so travelling here is very easy by any method.
