Fantastic experience: I recently went in for a check-up due to discomfort and all sorts of other issues with my teeth, the follow up appointments for the work that needed doing on my teeth were swift and the transparency with potential complications or concerns were handled REALLY well by the dentist. My appointments were managed so carefully and with consideration for my availability. For public service alone and how they handled me personally both the front desk, dentist and team are 5stars. The dentist I saw was new; Dr Arvin Faryad but the level of detail and transparency into the procedures I would have to go through made it feel like I wasn't just a patient, it was presented in a way someone uneducated in field of dentistry would understand. Not only was the procedure carried out with care, the team as a whole did a fantastic job and clearly take pride in the work they do. I wholeheartedly recommend this dental practice and Dr Arvin

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Sarvnaz Nasiri after a gap of a fair few years due to covid/life and so on, and she was great. I did need some work done but she explained it all fully, took time to outline costs and practicalities. I also saw the hygienist who was also excellent. The folks on reception and admin are also great and took the time to explain things clearly as well as remembering and asking after my children which was lovely.

He knows I get anxious when visiting and he always ensures I feel comfortable and relaxed. I couldn’t recommend a better dentist or team.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sarvnas is very caring and patient and puts you at ease in the room. She makes sure you understand everything before she proceeds and is very thorough in informing you what treatment she thinks you need to have. Certainly not pushy. Sherri the Receptionist is very approachable and professional and rectifies any issues quickly. We are definitely glad we joined this practice.

Fantastic experience: I have been suffering from depression and anxiety for a few years and only recently managed to get some help. Needless to say my teeth have taken a bit of a beating over the years and unlike my previous dentist, I wasn’t made to feel bad or ashamed. Nick and his fantastic team really looked after me made me feel reassured and calm throughout the whole process today. He took his time, explained what he was doing at every opportunity and made me feel at ease. I’m really thankful, and can’t recommend this practice enough!

Negative experience: Was told I needed a filling and it'd be £175. Asked them to point out on the x-ray where the filling was needed. They said it couldn't be seen on the x-ray. Something about it seemed suspicious so I booked a dentist appointment with a different dentist. Had another full set of x-rays and the dentist fully examined my teeth. That dentist couldn't find where I needed the filling. Also I had had a filling at Hitchin Dental Practice the previous year and the new dentist said it looked more like a temporary filling & didn't expect it to last long. Surprise surprise after less than a year, that filling fell out and I got the new dentist to replace it. Would not recommend Hitchin Dental Practice.

Negative experience: Cannot get an emergency appointment! Called at 9am no emergency apps, none available to book for tomorrow either! Only one dentist at this practice sadly. Overdosing myself on ibuprofen which isn't helping at all. Usually I can get appointment here when I'm desperate but I've never been told 'No emergency apps' even for tomorrow same thing. None available. Atrocious!

I had a crown fitted along with a couple of fillings, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The dentist explained everything clearly, which really helped me feel relaxed and confident about the treatment. The results are fantastic , my crown looks completely natural, and my teeth feel great. I’m so pleased with the outcome and grateful for the skill and patience shown throughout my visits. The level of care and expertise from the moment I stepped foot into the practice and from when I left. I was seen by hygienist Izabella Grigore and Dr. Kishan Sheth, on the same day! Read some of the other reviews on here, guess a lot of people don't really know how much dentist charge, think they need a major reality check. These guys are more than reasonable, especially for my emergency. Defo going back for my root canal from these guys.

Negative experience: Bit of a mess if the admin side is anything to go by! Called in June and asked to be signed up as NHS patient, my details were taken and I was told I had been placed on the waiting list which will be about 4 months, and that I'll be contacted nearer the time. Waited 6 months before I called again and asked where I was on the waiting list, spoke to a different receptionist who was very confused about this as "there is no waiting list". She took my details and said she'll speak to someone and get back to me about signing up, of course no one ever called back. Called again a few weeks later and was told if I want to join I just need to book a dentist and hygienist appointment and that is enough for me to be signed up. Decided against it because my faith is gone if 3 different staff members can't decide how you're supposed to join the surgery.

Negative experience: Went for my first check up with them and was told I needed 4 fillings! They started talking about how each one would be £175 and asked when I'd like to book in. Considering my previous check up with my last dentist was only a year ago and no issues had been flagged, I was suspicious - went to a different dentist to get a second opinion, who said I have 0 cavities and no fillings needed. Long story short - they are clearly out to take advantage of people and get your money. Disgusting - AVOID at all costs

Negative experience: Called to ask if they were taking on new patients at the moment- the lady who answered the phone was absolutely vile. No customer service experience at all - she was extremely rude and patronising. As the first person you speak to at the practice she should be absolutely embarrassed of herself. Makes the practice seem shoddy and uncaring. Definitely will be taking my business elsewhere.

Negative experience: I don't know if this is a good dental practice or not as I've been trying to o contact them for 2 days. I've been passed onto music without explanation, been told the manager would ring me back 3 times (they didn't) and hung up on twice - hope the dentist is better than the reception team - guess I'll never know

Negative experience: This place isn't even worth 1 star! I'd give 0 if I could! Today, the "manager" called me to say I have an outstanding payment for a filling I've never had. She insisted that her staff weren't wrong and that I was lying! She said in a laughing voice "oh is this how you're going to play it is it? I'm the manager!" Yeah think I'd know if I'd had a filling! If your hygienist gave me a filling then this was done completely without consent or knowledge but surely I'd have had an injection or something? Definitely no fillings here. Won't come back again and recommmend that people avoid this practice!! Rude rude rude!

Fantastic experience: I don't very often say this, but I've just had the best dental experience, ever! From initial phone call to being seen and having the treatment done - all in the same day! Negative experience: They say they are an NHS dentist but every time you go for a check up they do a scale and polish without asking and charge you privately for the privilege. Scale and polish should be covered in NHS Band 1 if the dentist thinks you medically need this. An NHS check up should cost £23.80 but here it's always over £100. Any extras should be discussed with patients before you do them but this doesn't happen here. They are ripping patients off during a cost of living crisis and it is just wrong.
