Fantastic experience: Very good professional service , all staff very polite , work carried out to very high standard

Negative experience: I attended an emergency appointment to have a crown re-cemented. I explained the issue clearly over the phone and was quoted a price for what was a straightforward job: the crown was not damaged, there was no sensitivity, and it simply needed to be glued back on. I had also already paid a non-refundable deposit before attending the appointment. However, once I was already in the chair, I was told the price would be double what I had been quoted. The appointment itself lasted around five minutes, and the final cost was more than I would usually pay at my regular central London dentist. I found this very disappointing, particularly since the price changed only after I was in the treatment chair, even though I had already paid a non-refundable deposit. I would have expected clearer pricing upfront, especially for such a simple procedure.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend. I had an emergency tooth extraction. They are not my regular dentist but I am seriously considering changing to them. Very efficient, friendly staff. Pain free extraction. Thanks for fitting me in, much appreciated.

Fantastic experience: My fear of dentistry from my childhood kept me away for 17 years. A serious infection forced me to book an emergency appointment and I chose west Square from recommendations. From my 1st interaction with the reception staff who put my mind at ease during the enquiry / booking process - upon arrival, polite, caring, empathetic. My dentist, who virtually held my hand through the experience and reduced my trauma levels to manageable. Unfortunately I needed a tooth pulled but I was guided through the process with understanding of my phobia and a plan was made. A week after a double course of antibiotics. I arrived for the extraction - sat in reception with a heart rate of 145bpm, but the staff helped calm me. Tooth extraction was nothing short of amazing, a molar with triple root (one with a hook) and it was managed with the upmost care. A couple of visits to the hygienist have followed, amazing care again always ensuring I was comfortable, and I am now on track to replace an old crown and make my pegs pearly white again. Well done to the whole team at West Square for your patience, understanding and caring. Trust is not given, it is earned!

Negative experience: This practice will not accept anymore NHS patients but will give you a private appointment very quickly. They strike NHS patients off if they do not attend regularly. I was a patient for 17 years, but have been struck off today (8th Oct 2025). I pay National Insurance contributions and would like NHS care. This practice obviously wants money above providing a service for which they were established. They must have a lot of money, they have bought-out another practice in nearby town. READ REVIEWS ABOUT POOR CARE EVEN UNDER PRIVATE TREATMENT.

Negative experience: I was until last week a private patient with West Square. I had two appointments recently with a female dentist who I had not seen before. Both appointments were appalling in comparison to previous appointments I have had with other members of staff. Both appointments were emergencies due to extreme, unbearable pain. I explained that I suffer severe anxiety and getting through the door at the dentist in the first place is a huge hurdle for me, and that I take prescribed diazepam in order to visit. In my opinion, the dentist I saw was extremely dismissive of my anxiety. I was given a filling that fell out within 3 hours, despite the fact I followed all instructions and in fact had nothing at all to eat or drink within that time frame. I then returned for a second appointment to be told “that often happens” and the filling was replaced. I was told I would need a root canal on the tooth and the wait would be around 3 weeks for that. I explained that I was still in extreme pain even with the filling, and that I am allergic painkillers except paracetamol, but was essentially told to put up with it for 3 weeks until my root canal appointment. Given the extremity of the pain, and my dissatisfaction with my visits, I promptly visited a different private dentist for a second opinion: they found that I in fact had a dreadful infection that was entirely missed by West Square, so I would have not only continued to have been in pain but would not have been able to have the root canal treatment after the wait anyway due to the infection.

Fantastic experience: I am terrified of dentists, but the staff at West square are wonderful. They put you at ease and the dental work they do is the best l have ever had. They are only satisfied with their work once you are satisfied, which now a days is rare. I would recommend them for what ever treatment you need.

Fantastic experience: Amazing dentist, I had an infection in the roof of my mouth. Extracted teeth, cleaned infection and future plans discussed The dentist was brilliant taking time to explain every move he was making and warning me of any extra noise or pain. The best dentist I have been to. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I went to Dr Thishok because I was unhappy with the toll that my pregnancies took on my teeth, and how my wisdom teeth coming through had made a few of my teeth a little wonky. With the makeover package we did a short course of Invisalign and did a bit of whitening and bonding on my front teeth. I cannot explain how happy I am with the results. I have the smile I’ve always wanted! Thishok and his lovely team were amazing throughout and have given me my confidence back. :-) I highly recommend West Square Dental Practice. Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this place enough! I've put off going for 10 years because of a previous bad experience, but made myself go as my tooth was starting to hurt. I was very anxious about going and scared about what was going to happen (there where tears when i got in the chair). Dr. Helmend was amazing, really caring and calming and talked me through the whole procedure, i had a filling and felt totally in control and listened to. Very caring and compassionate staff and I've already booked in my next appointment, i don't think I'll ever look forward to going to the dentist but at least now i won't actively avoid it! Fantastic experience: I have visited many dental practices over the years and I can 100% say that Dr Hassan Abbass is definitely the best. He is very professional, very friendly and extremely competent. He gave me loads of advice and did not try to rush me out of the door like many other dentists try to do. I plan to use Dr Hassan Abbass for all my future private dental work and will absolutely recommend him, even if you have to travel large distances as its worth it. The nurse Sabnam was also very good and polite.

Fantastic experience: Cannot speak highly enough of Dr Abbas and the surgery. I was terrified of the dentist after a previous bad visit to another local dentist. Dr Abbas was very patient and talked me through everything. He and his nurse instantly put me at ease and I have to say it was a pleasure to have them looking after me. Fantastic experience: After visiting numerous orthodontists I struggled to find one that had a genuine interest for the patient more so than the finance side of things (although I understand that it is business at the end of the day) until I went to west square dental and met Hassan. He’s a very kind, approachable and friendly individual who I’ve come to respect both as a dentist and as a friend. He knows how to get the best results and takes on board the concerns of the patient whilst knowing how to keep a conversation going. Couldn’t be more happier with how my smile is looking and would very highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Dentists are not my favourite place and I can think of a number of occasions where I have chickened out! I don't like dentist and Mr Finn gained my trust over the years until his retirement. However I cannot thank everybody enough for the excellent treatment from Helmand, Maivand and Hassan which I have received, all have put my mind at rest and over a short period of time have gained my trust. As for my treatment, Slow and steady won the race and the outcome was perfect. An implant, new veneer, whitening and check up. Hannah was my rock for holding my hand and Jo for always getting me there on time and the right day! I would recommend this practice not only for their outstanding work but for their friendliness. I am one very happy patient

Fantastic experience: Honestly can’t thank Hassan at a West Square Dental enough for sorting my teeth out in such a short amount of time. It was a huge request asking him to straighten my teeth with Invisalign six months before my sisters wedding, but he went above and beyond with regular visits with the focus balanced between his professional approach to my treatment and my expectations of a beautiful smile.
