Llandeilo Dental Practice

Fantastic experience: My dentist retired so I decided to try Llandeilo and I was so glad I did Situated in the heart of town it was very convenient I made an appointment and was pleasantly surprised by the premises Reception was very efficient and after a few minutes I was invited into the chair. I am not a big fan of dentists and if asked I will always say I am allergic to needles Alex the dentist was very genial and Fiona, his dental nurse, put me at ease. Now for the painful bit I thought but Alex was very able with the needle and I was soon numbed. Not a big fan of the drill or excess water in the mouth giving me a feeling of waterboarding but again Alex and his assistant were both excellent To sum up I have now found a better dentist than the one that retired ( and he was very good )

Fantastic experience: Had an emergency (out of hours) appointment w/ LDP, and had such a good experience. Despite my nerves & anxieties, the staff (I'm so sorry, I forgot who I saw ) made me feel comfortable; dentist talked me through the process, and nurse was so kind & reassuring. Tooth popped out in literally 2 seconds, and didn't feel a thing–didn't even know it was out until I was told. Genuinely a lovely business, and would recommend to nervous/dental-phobic patients.

Fantastic experience: Ive been a patient for a long time now. Today, I had one of my appointments, another visit where I couldn't ask for a better treatment, I do try to adhere to recommendations, and iam as best as I can, which is showing a lot of improvements. Whole team are really kind and supportive , always happy to chat and welcoming. My smile and my daughter's smile is taken care of by Lee and Rachel who are absolutely fantastic ❤️ not forgetting about lovely assistants! Thank you for everything you do !!!

Fantastic experience: I attended yesterday. Full of fear as my experiences of dentists has not always been the best. Today I was seen by Rachel and I cannot find the words to describe how relaxed she made me feel. I had a tooth removed. The injection was painless the extraction was over and done quickly. Rachel and your assistant thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Fantastic experience: Having to find a new dentist when Ammanford's closed, I was fortunate in finding this one. I needed a course of treatment urgently due to health issues and the service provided by Alex has been outstanding. I have had 2 root canal treatments completely painlessly. I still have further procedures to undergo but have no qualms as I know that my treatment will be first class.

Fantastic experience: I was seen as an emergency and had to have a tooth out. The whole team at the surgery were brilliant and very caring. By far the best dentists I have ever visited

Negative experience: This was my 1st visit today as I've recently moved to Wales. Had a lovely dentist called Alex. Unfortunately, the receptionist was absolutely appalling. I'm aware that it's been a challenge regarding Covid but there is NO excuse for bad manners. I put my spectacles down on the counter and not only was I reprimanded, She tutted & huffed. When I left, albeit very agitated, there was a lady waiting to go in & she also said that the receptionist is always rude to her. How is this person in a customer facing role?

Negative experience: Bad service made me wait almost 15 minutes outside on the street with my youngest daughter. and I told her that if my daughter could enter and she said that she did not because of the corona virus, totally ridiculous I do not recommend it. and she says of the corona virus but she does not have the mask.

Fantastic experience: Really great service. Reception staff ensured Covid safe measures whilst remaining welcoming. The dentist, Rachel, and her assistant were beyond patient with me and dealt with my issue to my huge relief. I felt informed and in control whilst in the chair. I can't thank you enough. 10/10

Fantastic experience: This practice has never left me hanging. Very swift to accommodate their patients in an emergency. Great staff that put you at ease, excellent hygienists, and friendly Doctors that present all your options with no pressure.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Llandeilo Dental Practice for many years and have at all times received excellent dental care and advice. The practice is very well resourced with the latest technology, combined with good old fashioned quality customer service from all at the practice. I have had substantial work carried out over the last year including the fitting of crowns and a partial denture to replace missing teeth. The metal plate used is thin and only covers a small part of the gum, so you are unaware of its presence. Despite the intricacies involved, the result of Adam's work and skill is superb. Llandeilo and district has its fair share of professional and talented people; Adam at Llandeilo Dental Practice is up there with the best.

Fantastic experience: On attending my hygienist appointment,I was pleasantly surprised by the new equipment used to clean and scale my teeth. It was painless and did an amazing job. It was a bit like sandblasting but not painful and the result was very good.

Fantastic experience: All of the staff are so friendly and helpful, they really help to put me at ease. After having trouble with bad dentists in the past, I can honestly say that I will never go to anyone except Adam again. He is so friendly, professional and really calms me down. He is a superb dentist ( I first went to him to fix a problem that someone else couldn’t sort) and manages to keep someone with a phobia of going, to keep coming back. Catrin the dental nurse is excellent...warm, friendly...along with a friendly, efficiency lady on reception. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you Adam for helping me to keep my teeth!

Positive experience: Staff are absolutely incredible and have never had a problem before . Have been use to seeing same dentist for a while with myself and kids and felt at ease.As I do have a phobia i felt at comfort . Unfortunately seen a different dentist today and I needed work done and because I hadn’t seen this dentist before I didn’t feel safe for the procedure to go ahead. Due to me refusing to have the work done i was taken of the NHS list. I couldn’t book an appointment to see the usual dentist due to this. So am know left in pain because I refused for a dentist I met once do work to my teeth. Yes I let the phobia get the better but don’t think being taken off the list was acceptable.

Fantastic experience: We first met Adam Llewellyn when my wife had an emergency over a new year period some yeas ago and he was absolutely wonderful putting us both at ease. We were so impressed that we both changed from our previous dentist to join Adam and his team in Llandeilo where the wonderful treatment continued. We cannot speak too highly of Adam and although it may sound odd, it was a pleasure to go to the dentist. Sadly, we have moved away from Wales (Devon) and can no longer visit Adam, who, we shall never forget nor replace as a wonderful, caring dentist. Maureen & John Dodd. It became necessary for Maureen to see a dentist close to our new home in Devon during November & December 2016 sadly, the treatment was pretty poor and she was in terrible pain with an infection. After trying to get it sorted over the Christmas period, we contacted Adam who as usual was willing to help, we travelled from Devon to Llandeilo on the 28th December within 15 minutes Adam had worked his magic and sorted the problems out. Maureen is now well and truly on the mend. You people of Llandeilo and Llandovery are extremely lucky to have Adam as your dentist, he has to be the best ever!! We will have to look a long way to find somebody so caring and conscientious. It was a long journey from Devon but we knew it would be worthwhile , we are trying to work out a way that we can still use Adam as our Dentist, for any future treatments. Fantastic experience: I've been to the dentist plenty of times so I know the drill but Dr Llywellyn's practice is on another level. He should be given a crown. Can't rate the staff highly enough - receptionists & nurses friendly & helpful & Dr Llywellyn is patient & reassuring. Will definitely recommend to friends & family.

Fantastic experience: Adam is a very friendly and caring dentist. He always puts me at ease and delivers the highest standard of dentistry. Both myself and my wife have been extremely happy with the care we have received. All the staff are helpful and welcoming. I can't recommend this practice enough!
