North Point Shopping Centre: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Good if you need shopping!
Negative experience: the staff (obviously not all of them from every single shop but definitely about 20 different interactions I had were all negative) & their associates were very rude, cheeky & very argumentative & offensive & I'd even say in a couple of cases that they acted aggressive whilst seeing that they were upsetting someone without any reason totally un called for which only seemed to get worse when they realised they were the ones in the wrong which I can maybe understand but still can't help feeling very sad & disappointed about how these people are acting - remember the customers are indirectly paying your wages so maybe try not 2 alienate too many more of them because then you'll end up the one on this side being followed poked & accused just because they're unemployed
Positive experience: Everything you need

Fantastic experience: Clean plenty of shops to go in and food is good nice place to go with family and you don't feel like yiu can't move because it's packed plenty of space
Fantastic experience: North point shopping centre is a huge part of the community. It has many shops available and many cash machines. The toilets are really clean and the Christmas decorations are always lovely ! It's a shame the market is so quiet now. I used to come here daily when I was at school and always enjoyed the atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: Good selection of shops, indoor so not shopping in the cold places to eat at reasonable prices Can find what you want in one warm place
Fantastic experience: We use this shopping centre mainly for the sterling meat company, the cooked chickens are perfect. Also, the clothes alteration stall run by Linda in the indoor market section. I’m constantly taking items to get taken up with me being a small gal, she does a fantastic job and is very reasonable, so I always tip well. They need to get more stalls into the indoor market part though as it’s almost empty. I don’t know if the rates are maybe too high?? It’s a clean, well run and maintained shopping centre full of no frills bargain shops.
Positive experience: Compare to other shopping centres is quite cheep. And you realy can find everything there. Little cofe shops, sandwich bars, butcher, beuty saloon, iceland, vegetables shop (this one a bit expensive and sraff they have not the best quality). WC and large parking area from both sides.
Fantastic experience: Great shopping centre with good range of shops & great little cafe. Love co.ing here for Christmas shopping.
Fantastic experience: Plenty of shops here to keep anyone happy
Fantastic experience: Some great shops here especially the butchers at the beginning where they sell all sorts of food and all different cuts of meat that great prices
Fantastic experience: Lots of shops all under one roof. And local for me.
Fantastic experience: Low price quality goods. Nice place for family shopping.
Positive experience: It has changed so much, since I was last there. The market used to be so busy, but it is now almost empty. The shopping centre appeared to be ok but not how I used to remember, it was always very busy.
Fantastic experience: Always a bargain to be had at this shopping centre
Fantastic experience: North Point Shopping Centre is a clean and well-maintained destination with a great variety of shops, eateries, and services. It’s a convenient spot for a day out or to run errands, and the ample parking makes it easy to visit. Shops and Services: Retail: New Look and Poundland offer a mix of affordable fashion and essentials. Food and Drink: Pazzo Gelato & Grill and Taylor’s Bakery provide tasty options for meals or snacks. Specialty Stores: Max Speilman for photography and Minute Stitch for tailoring services. Services: Rouse Opticians and the Post Office add practical options for visitors. With its diverse selection of shops and a tidy, welcoming atmosphere, North Point Shopping Centre caters to a variety of needs and makes shopping hassle-free. A great choice for locals and visitors alike!
Negative experience: Toilets should not be closed when shops are open
Hi Leah, thank you for your review. Unfortunately we had an emergency maintenance problem within the toilets and had to close them whilst this was dealt with. Other toilets were available within the centre whilst we undertook essential repairs. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Positive experience: If out of curiosity, you'd like to experience watching sub-level, thick as pig muck, pond life, saunter from their grey little hovel's, to shuffle around a conveniently centralised shopping centre, in the middle of what has always been quite a miserable and oversized council estate....then look no further. The car park should be named, 'crow central', as your guaranteed to have one staring ominously at you, waiting to see if you drop any scraps of food, whilst stuffing your fat face with a Greggs sausage roll. I would however, recommend the always useful Boyes, and tasting the delights of Sterling Meat Company - the jewel in the crown of North Point.
Fantastic experience: North Point shopping centre is a good local centre. It has a good range of shops for what the locals need. It's clean, light and airy. There are freezer shops, clothes shops, hairdressers, bakery the lot and the legendary boyes that sell just about everything. There is also a nice indoor market, though I'm surprised to see just how many empty units there are there. But there's still a good butcher's a delicatessan, a cafe, and other odd stalls and a great pet foodstall. outside the centre There is the Sutton arms pub, a post office, and a Chinese takeaway. There are two large free car parks, one either side of the centre and a petrol station.
Positive experience: Took my grandchildren to see santa, lovely glittery bauble where santa sits inside, friendly lady elves, great photos but santa needs to realise that keeping hold of a shy 7 year old isn't a good thing, my youngest grandson couldn't understand why he wouldn't let go of him, I literally had to pull him away. Shame because apart from that it was lovely.
Positive experience: Kids on bikes allowed to ride up and down, security does nothing seems like they just want to be the kids mates and laugh and joke with them.something needs to be done about this
Negative experience: My daughter and myself went to the cafe next to sweet shop in centre last sat. We have had upset tummy's since. And the fly traps look disgusting in a place they sell food
Hi Lesley, thank you for making us aware of your recent visit to the centre. We have passed your comments on to the café that you visited.
Positive experience: It's really good, plenty of different shops, three chemists, plenty of choice and an in side market.ample parking
Negative experience: SORT YOUR SECURITY GUARDS OUT, THEIR A BUNCH OF USELESS GOSSIPS!!! MORE SCARED OF THE YOUTH, SO THEY BULLY VULNERABLE.
Positive experience: Myself and partner was staying nearby and thought we would check out this ‘shopping centre’ few shops like one below, Poundland then you have few local businesses like salons vaping shops, not really somewhere where you’d look forward to do some shopping. Did enjoy the sweet shop there. Market was more or less empty apart from a cafe, pet shop, small deli and a butchers.
Fantastic experience: "Centre" or "cenner" has never been a destination shopping centre. For 6ish decades it's purpose has and always will be to serve the locals. Unless Hull becomes a rich city and Bransholme becomes a suburb of wealth and prosperity then you might see a higher range of shops like Dior, Waitrose, and Selfridges here... This is never EVER going to happen... NO.... it won't... NEVER. Bransholme Centre has only ONE delusion of grandeur and that was the renaming to "North Point" that A, nobody uses and B, still sounds and looks weird. Centre is for the people in the surrounding area and the shops are right for the area. Iceland, "Boyziz", Heron, Poundland etc. It has been like this for decades and always will. There is no update on décor needed as it would be a waste of cash on what is a z-list shopping centre. The shops in there are are fine, there is no expansion necessary and anyone who is delusional and thinks otherwise needs to have a word with themselves. ALL shopping centre security are poor, if you moan about it I think you are being mean. I wouldn't want that job either so respect them... Especially at this one where I am sure the management aren't particularly nice. In conclusion CENNER IS FINE leave it alone, don't one star it because you burnt your tongue on a Gregg's pasty, that is YOUR fault not Gregg's or Cenner.
Negative experience: Place is a Dump, Pathetic selection of (low-end) shops. No late night shopping. Kids driving through on e-scooters or bikes is the norm, Shoplifters Love it as security guards (when they are there) seem to be More interested in their Social lives than doing Any work. Centre management couldn't give a toss. Only got 1 star as it wouldn't let me give a zero
Positive experience: Not the best place to shop. Too many £1 shops and frozen food shops. Security in bransholme center are useless, no point in them been there. Went into center around Half 4 tonight. Loads of kids, probably about 15 of them school aged. Some riding push bikes pulling wheelies and riding around on scooters up and down the centre. And where was security? They where hiding in a shop .
Fantastic experience: The guy was so lovely couldn’t do enough to help great services especially when he’s out in the cold all day still smiling would definitely recommend selling your car here
Fantastic experience: Very helpful & honest we buy any car employee. Did all he could to make the experience a pleasure.
Negative experience: Go for shopping only. Security is no good, too busy talking amongst themselves. They let kids run around on scooters and bikes (but to be honest, I think they are scared of them and fear confrontation). Take it from me, someone is going to get hurt. I've seen a few near misses with the older folk while that shower of S4!t look on. If any of you lot are reading this, shape up or ship out, and get someone who can do the job.
Positive experience: Lost a few stores now so could do with a revamp and some high quality shops. OK for basics.
Positive experience: Convenient and a good selection of shops despite the lockdown. On the downside the Security Guards are too busy chatting to be effective. Nonetheless well worth a visit.
Negative experience: Hi..visited the centre today after weeks in isolation and was appalled..no security staff anywhere...4 young women early 20s 1 woman early 50s all stood in a tight group totally ignoring social distantcing no face coverings talking for over 10 mins at least know that because they were still there on my way out and i was there les than 15 mins...im sorry but the management off norhpoint are doing an horendous job...i intend to go back next week and video the appalling lack of security and totall lack off social distancing...THIS PLACE SHOULD BE IN LOCKDOWN.
Positive experience: Lived there before the centre was built I've always loved Centre everything under one roof I'm of the generation where you had all shops outside so its ideal for me
Fantastic experience: The shopping centre in general has a wide variety of shops that provide good value for Bransholme Council Estate. The only exception is Boots the Chemist who in my honest opinion is generally dearer than most other chemist's and pharmacies.
Fantastic experience: It was Busy (Weekend Rush) with Shoppers. The Bransholme Centre as I 'prefer' to call it was clean, Social Distancing was 'enforced' as needed and it was good to see people 'following' COVID-19 Directives etc.
Fantastic experience: Visited yours no queue to get in. Lots of space to move around without worrying about 2m distancing. Staff very friendly and safe with plastic screens and sanitised.
Positive experience: Great shops in the centre with decent range of different types of shopping for everyone's needs. Only downfall woth this is the amount of rude kids at this place outside and inside of the area of the centre
Fantastic experience: Always loved centre been coming in er since I was in a pram
Positive experience: A nice pleasant little shopping centre one that I can handle I find the Wilkinson store and Iceland particularly handy It's not overpowering for those of you like me who dread the experience that large shopping centres lay before us
Negative experience: Some nice shops but some of the people who shop are are extremely rude and honestly need to rethink there behaviour in public! Shane because it brings down the whole centre
Positive experience: Excellent shopping mall in Hull. Accessibility: very confident, buses pick and drop right at the mall. Shopping options: Next and other big and medium brands are there, so plenty of options. Food: no halal option in the surrounding. :( Other food options I didn't find them outside worthy. Mall structure and built is good.
Fantastic experience: Pretty much everything you need under one roof. Can do food shopping and clothes shopping alongside home wares, stationary, electronics and pharmacy. Can't fault it, free parking and a wide variety of shops
Positive experience: Always clean and tidy through lots of different types of shops loads of free parking, just a shame there's no supermarket
Fantastic experience: Well kept and clean with a good variety of shops, however I did notice a couple of empty spots, the new gym will help though.
