Fantastic experience: As someone who has a terrible phobia of dentists, I can highly recommend visiting the Scottish Center for Excellence! Andrew and his team looked after me from the initial consultation, surgery and aftercare with the best care ever, and I would have no problem coming back to them for any future treatment!

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience here. They have all mod cons, and truly have wonderful customer service. The whole team are so friendly. I had never had any dental/hygienist treatments before and I was so nervous. Catrina put me at ease as soon as I was chatting with her. She talked me through every process and explained how everything worked and what outcomes I could expect. She recommended a new routine to care for my gums, and also products that would help me long term. I am so grateful to them here for making me feel comfortable and giving me a good experience. Worth every single penny, and I wont be going anywhere else now for my dental care.

Fantastic experience: First ever implant, replacing an existing crown. It was an easy, pain free experience. 24 hrs later, I'm back to normal with the exception of some medication and a soft food diet. I would recommend Abid Faqir to anyone considering an implant.

Fantastic experience: I recently had my wisdom tooth extracted, and my experience with the dental practice was exceptional from start to finish. I was able to get an appointment on very short notice, and I received helpful information leading up to my visit. While I’m generally okay with dentist appointments and don’t have any fears, my experience with Dr. Andrew Carton was remarkable. Although my main reason for visiting was the wisdom tooth extraction, Dr. Carton also performed a general check-up and provided valuable insights about my overall dental health. He thoroughly explained the extraction procedure and the recovery period, which helped put me at ease. The following day, Dr. Carton took the time to call and check in on me, and he was very approachable throughout the entire process. Also, a shout-out to Sandy, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. Together, Dr. Carton and Sandy made a fantastic team. I would definitely recommend Dr. Carton to anyone needing dental surgery!

Fantastic experience: From start to finish my experience was absolutely brilliant. The whole team were extremely professional and friendly. Sachin Jauhar was extremely thorough and understanding of my TMD condition. He made me feel so relaxed, he was sympathetic and ensured to take into consideration my personal situation, and took the time to see the bigger picture. I really felt i was treated as an individual, and listened to. It was the best dental experience I have had, and I would recommend to anyone who is anxious about going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Adding an updated review at the end of my treatment. I first attended the Scottish Centre for Excellence in Dentistry with low confidence due to failing crowns at the front of my mouth and the existence of a partial denture on one of my front teeth. I actually thought I was going to lose the whole top row. I had an initial chat with Mr Ali who carried out an initial examination and discussed possible options. He then referred my case to his colleague Abid and my journey began from there with the assistance of Nurse Fiona all the way. I was booked in for surgery to remove existing crowns to make way for an implant bridge and had a further implant placed for a failing molar crown also. What I respected was the honesty that I didn't in fact need to have my other teeth removed as after 3d scans and assessment, Abid was happy that there was plenty of life left in them, therefore no need to incur further impact to my jaw or cost. All throughout the procedure I was always well looked after and put at ease. I had immediate implants fitted and a temporary bridge along the front for aesthetics and to allow the implants to bond with my jaw and an immediate implant placed to replace the molar. Over the course of the healing period, no question was ever bothersome to Abid and Fiona (even being seen during the break between Xmas and new year without fuss). During this time, there were a couple of bumps along the road as changes in my mouth occurred, as you would expect, but nothing Abid and Fiona couldn't handle or adjust the plan to provide the optimal solution. I am happy to say that my permanent implants are now fully in place and I couldn't be happier with the result or the job Abid and Fiona did. Highly recommend the team at the Scottish Centre for Excellence in Dentistry !

Fantastic experience: A Fantastic Experience After 15 Years of Avoidance This was my first visit to a dental hygienist in 15 years, largely due to a previous bad experience that left me anxious about returning. Catrina and Olivia completely changed that for me. From the start, they took the time to listen to my concerns and fully understood my apprehension. Fantastic experience: Routine check-up from hygienist Catrina and Mr. Ali. Friendly and welcoming greetings and chat at reception as always followed by a thorough inspection and cleaning of gums and teeth by the lovely Catrina - I really appreciate all the advice she gives me and the time she takes to demonstrate with her mirror how to use these 'fiddly' interdental wee brushes! As well as her professionalism she is so caring and encouraging. Then it was onto Mr. Ali - a thorough check up and as usual time taken to explain any issues. I have been going to Mr. Ali for coming up to 10 years now and over these years he has worked miracles on my mouth. Words of thanks seem inadequate - I look forward to my visits to SCED and have absolute trust in Mr. Ali's professionalism and integrity together with his caring and re-assuring approach. Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Will highly enough for the treatment I received for both an implant and dental sinus. The service and care I received from both Will and his dental nurse Lesley was excellent, they put me at ease from my first visit and the whole experience was pleasant and pain free. Fantastic experience: My local dentist and really happy with the care provided. This is a large practice and getting an appointment is really easy. The building is modern and the interior is calming. Both the hygienist and dental treatments were very professional and everything is clearly explained with any options provided. Never had any issues and having so many dentists in one building means getting a second opinion in this highly rated practice is invaluable. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had a wisdom tooth extracted by Mr Andrew Carton and his excellent nurse Sandie. I had been putting this extraction off for a while and Andrew and Sandie made me feel totally relaxed and at ease throughout the full procedure. What could have been a difficult extraction was made simple and it was over very quickly. Andrew then gave a detailed explanation about post care and what to expect in the days after surgery. A follow up was also arranged for 4 weeks later to check everything was ok. Absolutely first class service and I highly recommend Andrew and Sandie to anyone putting off an extraction!!

Fantastic experience: As a result of periodontal carried out by Jackie I feel I am on the right path with my oral health. Jackie has been an amazing help and very happy to explain everything to me as we went along. She made a huge difference to the appearance of my front teeth too, for which I can't thank her enough. Fantastic experience: Absolutely A.Maz.Ing. I started attending the Scottish Centre for Excellence in Dentistry after major trauma to my front teeth in a sporting accident. I had attended another dental practice immediately after the accident and decided to seek a second opinion at the Centre of Excellence. I am so relieved I did. From my first phone call arranging my appointment through to final treatment, the experience was night and day. All staff at the Centre of Excellence are highly experienced professionals. I required 3 root canal treatments and 3 crowns and can’t have hoped for a better result for the final outcome. Absolutely blown away - can’t recommend this practice highly enough. Literally the best there is.

Negative experience: If you register with them but because of expensive plan of treatment you stop to continue with it if you have an emergency during your holiday and get treated they did not receive you to be seen if you need a pain prescription. I have been told to return to the dentist that treated me.

Negative experience: These guys dish out bad information... 15 years ago they told me they would need to remove all teeth, top and bottom, quoted for implants.. Other Glasgow dentists simply extracted and implanted the bad top teeth and fixed the bottom set cosmetically. 15 years later and I still have my bottom teeth and a nice smile.. These dentists are nothing but money mad salesmen.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Louise, the hygienist, here for several years and I always get a very thorough clean and good advice on how to care for my teeth between visits. Everyone is very friendly and pleasant. The Scottish centre for Excellence in Dentistry is bright and modern and right up to date. They also have a great fish tank which is very calming.

Fantastic experience: I recently attended the Scottish Centre for Excellence in Dentistry for the extraction of a lower wisdom tooth and would like to pay tribute to the excellent attention that I received from surgeon Andrew Carton and his assistant Sandie. I wasn’t particularly looking forward to the experience as, being a member of the profession myself, I was fully aware of the possibility of problems possible in the procedure. Andrew and Sandie carried out the extraction speedily and with minimum of fuss. There were no uncomfortable symptoms experienced at all post operatively and healing went swiftly and with no complications. I can only put this down to the skills and ability of the operator and his assistant.

In March 2024 I had an outstanding experience with Dr. Andrew Carton and his nurse, Sandy. I required the extraction of two wisdom teeth and a further extraction of a cracked molar due to teeth grinding. Having never even had a filling before, the thought of losing three teeth over two months was horrifying. Although I wasn't nervous about the procedure itself, I was extremely upset about the potential impact on my confidence. From the moment I walked into the clinic, I was met with warmth and professionalism. Dr. Andrew Carton provided a thorough explanation of my options, which greatly alleviated my concerns. His kind and considerate demeanor, coupled with his clear guidance on how to proceed, made a huge difference. On the day of the double wisdom tooth extraction, I was incredibly worried. However, Dr.Carton's reassuring presence and Sandy's brilliant support completely put me at ease. Throughout every step of the process, I felt welcomed, cared for, and fully informed about my treatment options. What truly stood out was the exceptional level of care I received post-procedure. Dr. Carton personally phoned me the next day to check on my recovery, an act of kindness that nearly brought me to tears. Fantastic experience: Great experience again with Catrina Macintosh and her team at Scottish Centre for Excellence in Dentistry today. These hygienists provide a very thorough examination and treatment and provide excellent advice. I have had gum issues for many years which has caused me so much anxiety & distress. I had a tooth removed last week & a bridge fitted on the same day. Initially, my general practitioner recommended the removal of one tooth, but Sachin Jauhar strongly advocated for its preservation, which I greatly appreciate. Though the treatment took some time, the results were absolutely worth it. Throughout the process, the dentist was incredibly attentive, keeping me informed about the progress every step of the way. Fantastic experience: full mouth restoration implants.. SCED Glasgow - what a lovely Centre. Every member of Staff you will meet are professional in their approach, have great humanity, and respect your privacy. From the Ladies on Reception, Martin, Hygienists Louise and Katrina, the highly skilled and compassionate Nurses, Fiona and Rosie, to the Head of the Practice, Mr Arshad Ali, a first class Gent. My implant surgery was performed by Dr Abid Faqir, a warm and engaging guy, and it soon became clear that above all he is a perfectionist, which is what you need in order to achieve the best final outcome. For decades I struggled with failed and failing teeth, several crowns, root canal treatments and more than a few extractions. I was given 3 options to consider, together with the pros and cons of each. Implants were the best long term option for me. I researched the procedure and decided to go ahead. I was extremely nervous, though I needn't have been. It is true what other Patients have said 'it was not as bad as I thought it would be'. Over 2 separate appointments Dr Abid performed a full mouth restoration, using digital technology to place the implants. Fixed temporary teeth were fitted at each appointment, and, for me, the biggest plus was I had no false gum - thanks also to the unseen Heroes in the Lab. It's been 6 months since the fitting of my permanent teeth, and whilst there are some aspects that I may not get fully used to, I have no regrets. My gum health is better than it has been for decades, and I can now eat/chew with confidence. So, a few hours in the chair, a few days of feeling sore with some swelling, then the biggest smile for the rest of your life - and I am only 71 years young :) A huge thank you to All at SCED, and to Dr Sarah MacIntyre for her kind referral.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to SCE by a friend after I had endured 20 months of treatment elsewhere which had resulted in pain and discomfort, loss of confidence and badly fitting teeth. From the moment I contacted them I felt valued and respected and, incredibly important to me, listened to. After initial discussion I was given a full plan of treatment with realistic expected outcomes. My consultant, Scot Muir, and his team, headed by Erin, are amazing, personable, happy and relaxed which all lent to an easy journey for me. My dental technician, Cameron, was present throughout and I could not have received better care and attention. Their combined knowledge and experience cannot be overstated and they kept me informed and involved every step of the way. The completed results, after only 9 appointments, are outstanding and better than I ever thought could be achieved. I am able to eat, talk, laugh and smile with absolute confidence. I have no discomfort/pain and, after such a long time enduring both, I cannot express how happy I am. The difference my treatment and their expertise has made to my daily life is immeasurable. I will receive regular dental and hygiene check ups from the Clinic as part of the after care service. Fantastic experience: Routine visit to hygienist Louise and dentist Mr Ali. I would never change dentist, due to the warm welcome by all staff, the thoroughness of the monitoring of my dental health with the wealth of staff experience, wisdom and latest technology. Im particularly pleased with an implant ive now had for a good few years which remains stable....after referral here by my previous dentist i had dropped the plan for a denture from them and the implant just feels like my own tooth in every way. Id also recommend joining the care plan due to its benefits. Now that Im getting on in years somewhat I know this practice is my best chance of keeping my teeth and gums A OK. Thorough check up, no treatment needed...happy me. .

Fantastic experience: I had a very difficult extraction carried out by Consultant Andrew and his nurse Sandie. They both were calm, professional, encouraging and caring. I was made aware of what was happening at all times, knew I could pause proceedings if necessary and was given lots of positive support. After care instructions were clear, and I was given medicines to help my recovery at home. Andrew phoned me at home after two days to check on how I was feeling, and after a month I had a follow up appointment. Opportunity was given to ask questions, and the answers were never rushed. Recovery has been very good, and I would like to thank Andrew and Sandie for their skill and kindness.

Fantastic experience: Great service all round. My experience when getting my implants was excellent and very pleased with the results from start to finish. My appointments with Catriona, the fantastic hygienist has changed my whole routine around dental cleaning. She went through all the procedures very clearly, took the time to explain everything and the reasoning behind why it was important to carry out , especially after having dental implants. Her training paid off as there was a significant improvement in my gum health at my return appointment .
