Fantastic experience: I had my teeth cleaned by Meg and her nurse Lucy, who were, as usual, exceptional. Afterwards, I saw the dentist, Katie, and her nurse, Olivia, for my annual check-up. During this appointment, we discussed a tooth extraction, which would be my first in years. Katie was thoroughly professional and ensured I felt in control of the next steps. As I was already numb from the deep clean, I opted to have the tooth removed, not because it was in poor condition, but due to the impact it was having on the surrounding teeth. Both Katie and Olivia were calm and reassuring throughout the procedure. As always, the relaxed and friendly atmosphere fosters a positive experience for the patient!

Fantastic experience: Cwtch have always been great with us. They're lovely with our toddler, very friendly and engaging. They've been excellent when I had to come on my own with our baby and put nursery rhymes on to distract her during my hygieniest appt. The hygienests always do a great job and teeth feel in good condition. The pay monthly rate for private care is really reasonable.

Fantastic experience: This was my first appointment with Cwtch. I usually get quite anxious when I have to go to the dentist, but Jess at Cwtch was excellent. She put me at my ease and reassured me by telling me what she needed to do. Her manner was very pleasant, which made my experience free of anxiety.

I'm a nervous patient after some nasty experiences with other dentists, but every staff member I have encountered at Cwtch has been consistently friendly and reassuring, and the work on my problem tooth has been flawless. Fantastic experience: All of the staff that I have come into contact with are very friendly, professional and have been more than patient and accommodating when it comes to my PSTD issues. I can’t praise them enough! Especially with how organised and helpful they have been, talking me through every step of my dental needs and discussing any options available in an open and lay-person friendly manner. The practice itself is very easily accessible just off the M4/Northern Avenue roundabout at Tongwynlais and has plenty of its own parking around the back of the building making it a very easy and convenient appointment to attend. Having been charged scary amounts at other practices in the past for vey basic dental work, I find Cwtch Dental’s prices to be incredibly reasonable especially considering the great work and care they give at each appointment. Having spent years putting off dental work due to bad past experiences I am beyond thankful to have found Dr Sarah and her team at Cwtch Dental and will continue to recommend them to anyone who will listen. Thank you!

Negative experience: I feel very disappointed with their unprofessional service for the root canal and suffering from sensitivity while using my treated tooth after couple of months and my money was wasted on this surgery too ,I do not recommend this dental practice to anyone

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank Dr. Jess and the team at Cwtch Dental enough. Their trauma-informed approach has made a world of difference to me. I have a history of serious childhood abuse, and as a result, I find some experiences in life incredibly difficult. Many years ago, I had a horrific experience with a dentist who forcefully held me down to take a mold, causing a full-blown panic response. That experience kept me away from the dentist for years. When Cwtch opened, I reached out to the owners, and from the start, they were incredibly understanding. Recently, I needed a root canal, and despite knowing I was in safe hands, the procedure triggered a trauma response. Dr. Jess was beyond amazing, she was gentle, patient, and compassionate throughout. She let me stop and sit up as often as I needed, never showing frustration, only kindness. When I became overwhelmed and apologised repeatedly, she reassured me, and at one point, even wiped my tears. Having a trauma-informed dental practice makes an enormous difference to those of us who have experienced abuse or assault. The care I received at Cwtch has not only helped me manage my fear of dental treatment but also restored a sense of safety in a space that once felt impossible for me. I am so deeply grateful for their understanding, kindness, and expertise.

Fantastic experience: I’ve visited Cwtch Dental recently for a new patient examination, a scale and polish with Michelle, and two fillings later on with Dr Sarah. Everything was super easy from start to finish - the online booking system, availability of appointments, parking, the staff (so lovely!), dental surgery and the treatments themselves. I get a tad nervous with anything dental related but everyone was so nice at Cwtch that my nerves were settled quickly. I would certainly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Cwtch Dental came to my rescue after having waited to see an NHS dentist for over two years in Cardiff. It's a bit of a trek if you haven't got your own transport, as it's out of the city in Taffs Well. From beginning to end, I've been pleased with the work they've carried out on my chompers. And the entire staff are friendly, warm & inviting. Bookings are so simple a process & as someone else mentioned earlier, they answer texts promptly. There's always a place to park outside too. The surgery is always very clean & tidy & I like the waiting room being outside of the dental area. I'm making my last appointment today for a quick denture alteration & after that, I should be good for another 5 years at least! Thank you Dr Katie & all who helped.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to go here to get my Wisdom teeth removed and I was very nervous. From start of my consultation to having two teeth removed, I felt so comfortable, very very well looked after, all the staff are so lovely. Hopefully I don’t need anymore teeth removed but if I did I will be coming here. Best dentist I have ever been to. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Saw me the same day for an emergency all though I wasn’t registered with them. That day they registered me under the NHS with themselves. They did all they could for me that day to relive the pain and all though I had to wait for an appointment with a specialist to have my tooth removed they kept in contact with me calling me when there was a cancellation. All the staff are so lovely and helpful and take really good care of you.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic dental surgery, I’ve been going since they first opened and have only had positive experiences. They have cleaned, whitened, brightened and strengthened my teeth and gums, given me great advice and tips including how to brush properly (never too late to learn!) what toothpaste to use, why and how to clean in-between my teeth and how to maintain my mouth health. The hygienists are also excellent and have educated and supported me to take on new habits and stick to them. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had been a dental nurse for over 20 years and I have worked with several practices over the years together with agency work and I can honestly say that Cwtch dental practice are amazing! I visited Dr. Jess and she was attentive, considerate ,gentle and her attention to detail with treatment was amazing! Together with her nurse they were a fabulous team! Fantastic experience: Went for root canal started procedure about an hour in could not complete due to the tooth and gum not being able to kill the nerve and complete it successfully . Dr Sarah was honest and didnt continue as the procedure would not be successful i appreciated the honesty and she didnt charge despite working on my tooth for over an hour. Professional, honest and caring dentist that is highly recommended! She preferred to stoo the procedure rather than taking my money and not completing the procedure successfully. Most dentists would have done it despite knowing would not be succesful in order to charge

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with Owen and Dr. Gatley at the clinic. Owen is incredibly helpful and went above and beyond by calling me before opening hours to respond to my email. He also managed to fit me in at short notice for two root canal treatments. Dr. Sarah is lovely and very kind; she thoroughly explained the procedures and managed my expectations. The clinic is highly professional, and I would definitely recommend their services.
