Fantastic experience: Not very common to hear that someone looks forward to going to the dentist but Harriett makes a hygienist session more enjoyable. Extremely competent and professional added to a lovely personality.

Fantastic experience: I contacted Ton Dental as an emergency as I had terrible pain and swelling on my jaw/side of my face. They were very accommodating and squeezed me in the same day. Ended up with antibiotics to treat an infected saliva gland. So grateful to them for their kindness and compassion when I was in so much pain.

Fantastic experience: Today I had appointment with Joe, he took time to explain the treatment. I've always been nervous of the dentist but he quickly put me at ease. Thank you Joe and his lovely assistant Rachel.

Fantastic experience: Another planned appointment with Catherine yesterday. The new 'Airflow' device was having some teething problems but was soon sorted out. The result of my first treatment with this new equipment was noticeable and my teeth feel really clean and my mouth fresh. Lots of good advice on detail care. As always I'm really pleased. Visited the Hygienist Catherine yesterday and was pleased that she gave my mouth a clean bill of health. A routine visit to James followed and one minor matter needs attention for which I have an appointment. Visit to the Hygienist Catherine yesterday was excellent and my mouth felt clean and fresh following the appointment. Lots of good and sound advice all very pleasant. I look forward to seeing her again in three months. Finding a dental problem last Sunday I contacted the practice early Monday morning and spoke to Jenny. An appointment just before lunch was quickly arranged and I saw James. Following a thorough examination an appointment was arranged for the following morning. James began the treatment outlining the different options which are available. As always, I was very impressed by the straightforwardness of James' explanation which was centred very much on my dental needs. I shall return next month for a review of the treatment. My thanks to the all the team at Tondental Another very pleasant visit today with James. As always, his examination was thorough and he continues to be helpful and does not suggest treatments that would not benefit my dental health. My level of confidence in him remains high. Yesterday, whilst cleaning my teeth, a temporary crown became loose. A call to the practice resulted in an appointment 45 minutes later to see James. Result? Crown re-fitted and I was on my way to a Charity Lunch. Many thanks to Jenny, on reception, for organising the appointment and to James for agreeing to see me so promptly and getting my doubtful looks back to where they were and saving my dignity, not forgetting his nurse for so ably assisting him. Great teamwork! Thanks again. From my first visit I have continued to be impressed by James' straightforward, understandable and detailed explanation of my treatment. The care and thought he puts into his work is outstanding. My first hygeinist visit with Joseff last Tuesday. He was very thorough and gave me lots of advice on improving my brushing technique. Very impressive visit. A very thorough examination by Laura yesterday followed by a meticulous clean. Lots of good advice on continuing to keep my oral health the best it can be. All in all, a very successful visit. Thank you ladies. A planned appointment with Joseff and as always he was thorough and gave me some sound advice. I then saw James for impressions and a scan to prepare for an implant crown to be made. I shall be returning soon for the crown to be fitted. James was thorough and fastidious in his work and I look forward to the finished result. Roger

The staff was welcoming, James & the team we're calm, reassuring, and really took the time to talk me through everything. I felt listened to and never rushed. What could’ve been a stressful experience turned out to be surprisingly easy. I’m genuinely grateful and won’t hesitate to come back.

Fantastic experience: hey. this place is cool. no clue who my dentist is but they're cool too. the receptionists are cool. this building is cool and the people are really nice. i have to go here every six months because my mother makes me. and it's a delight. even if the things that cover your teeth are... slightly disgusting. that's not their fault though.

Fantastic experience: I don't know why you would go anywhere else! After a few dentists over the years and a mouth slowly losing teeth I decided to change to Tongwynlais Dental. A friend had similar experiences and recommended them, am I glad she did! Best decision I have ever made. Being a patient is like being part of a family where you are really cared about. You are greeted warmly and you instantly trust the amazing staff and that trust is well placed. I now have a great regime which I am supported with by the awesome Neema who is the kindest and funniest person I have ever met and now look forward to going to the dentist! Now that is something I never thought I would say. As a result of these great people who are always professional and where you always feel safe and know you can discuss all options and ALL options are presented to you, I feel so much better about smiling.... And myself. I rarely write reviews unless I feel very strongly about something and the above reasons are why I felt I had to write this.. This is one family that when you join will always make you smile... And make that smile BEAUTIFUL Awful toothache, rang and told to come in. This is the unusual thing about TD, they will see you, not make an appointment for 3 weeks time!! Seen straight away, masive infection found and prescription given. Good chat with the dentist and advice gratefully received. An emergency appointment and time taken to make sure I am ok, once again Ton Dental are amazing, consistently, head and shoulders above the rest.

It was well worth the money, also compared to what I pay on NHS and get rushed off before I could sit down. When I flossed later last night, it felt smooth. Negative experience: On October 7th, I went to the dentist for a pulp removal procedure due to severe tooth pain. However, this past Friday, I experienced tooth pain again in the same tooth that had undergone the pulp removal. I shouldn't be experiencing pain in the same tooth that was treated if the dentist had completely removed the pulp, and during the pulp removal, Dentist didn't even use the rubber dam refer to the protocol.

Fantastic experience: Re: filling on 17 Oct 2024. Lost a filling on 11/10/24, given an appointment for 17/10 - exceptional service in this day and age. Jenny (reception) usual smile, welcome and positivity to which I've come to look forward. Kudos to Elin for being her usual human, friendly, efficient self who dealt with a big filling quickly, painlessly and proficiently. I want to say that last August when I had two fillings, there was an elephant in the room - which I totally understood. This time Elin broached the subject herself, for which she should be give credit and my personal thanks. That showed her genuine interest in her patients which I find unusual. Elin goes out of her way to explain dental probs simply and provide options which take into account her patient's situation. All-in-all another successful and appreciated visit

Laura was totally professional and friendly, she didn't make me feel uncomfortable as it had been so long. Laura was very thorough but very gentle in her treatment and I will be seeing her in three months to carry on her excellent work. I cannot recommend her enough. She is definitely an asset to the dental practice .

Even though the procedure required my gum to be cut I had no pain afterwards and, so far, none the following day.

I'm quite anxious and apprehensive when visiting the Hygienist so much so is that I'd rather have root canal treatment instead. My faith in the Hygienist has been totally restored. Joseph was extreamly thorough and sought advice from the practitioner where Hé was unsure of à few potential problems. Fantastic experience: Let me preface this by saying I usually enter a dentist's office about as enthusiastically as a hamster encountering a vacuum cleaner. But this more like a five-star spa for gnashers! Here's why: Cleanliness? Off the charts. I swear the instruments were polished with baby unicorn tears. You could eat off the dental chair (although I wouldn't, because, you know, germs). Plus, the place smelled vaguely of peppermint and sunshine, which is a definite improvement over the usual "sterilized fear" aroma. The hygienist is a comedic tooth-taming wizard she has jokes sharper than their tools (but don't worry, no drilling puns!). They explained everything clearly, making me feel like I was getting a masterclass in oral hygiene The actual teeth-torture (aka cleaning)? Painless (almost). Look, it's still poking around in your mouth with metal implements, but she has the touch of a feather and the speed of a hummingbird. My teeth went from "stained coffee mug" to "gleaming porcelain throne room" in what felt like minutes. The aftermath? Mouth party time! Seriously, my teeth felt like they were doing the disco after the cleaning. So smooth, so sparkly, I kept catching myself grinning like a Cheshire cat who just won the lottery. Final verdict? If you're looking for a dentist who can make your teeth sing (metaphorically, please don't floss to "Bohemian Rhapsody"), this place is your jam. Just don't blame me if you start leaving love notes for your toothbrush. Rating: 10/10, would let them drill my wisdom teeth while juggling chainsaws, blindfolded. (Okay, maybe not that last part, but you get the point.)

Fantastic experience: Took the kids for a check up and as usual the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Neema is great with all three children and they actually enjoy visiting the dentist. Or at least don't complain! This is a great practice and we have never had anything but great service.

Fantastic experience: I’ve always been scared about going to the dentist and after going without seeing a dentist for a significant period of time after bad experiences with other dental practices, I finally made a decision to go to Tongwynlais Dental Centre. I will forever be grateful to the team, I thought that my teeth were beyond restoration and repair but I now have a smile that I feel confident about. The reception staff are always polite, helpful and efficient. The practice itself is always clean and well presented with modern equipment. My dentists name is Neema and he is the best dentist I have ever seen. He is very professional and caring and clearly knows his stuff. I have had several procedures with him as well as regular check-ups and cleanings and he never hurts me and always takes his time and makes me feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend both Neema and the practice in general to anyone. It is the most comfortable and professional practice I have ever attended. (Update 21/05/2021) I went for a hygienist appointment yesterday and both the hygienist (Andrea) and the nurse (Emma) were amazing. They used a sand blaster machine on my teeth which was totally painless and did an amazing job removing stains from my teeth. I've never been happier with my teeth. I'm very grateful. Thanks again to everyone at the practice! (Update 05/12/23) Just got back from another hygienist visit, every aspect of the experience was first class. Jenny, on reception was lovely as always and the hygienist (Catherine) and nurse (Rachael) were brilliant. The cleaning was completely painless and thorough and I was given very good advice.
