Fantastic experience: I can not recommend this place enough. The staff are all amazing and so friendly, the help they offer for understanding and comfort just makes the experience all the better. As someone who has never liked the dentist before I can honestly say after today I dont have the same anxieties about booking further appointments or going. Their statement of pain free dentistry is true ... I had multiple drills in my mouth today and the most I felt was a bit of pressure here and there or slight vibrations. They make the appointment all about you, with amazing small added touches like massage pads, head phones and my favourite was the lip balm - such a small thing but who doesn't get dry lips at the dentist!! If you're looking for a new dentist who actually cares about and not just your teeth then give these guys a call.

Negative experience: Update - I am very frustrated. I’ve been twice in a short* amount of time to fix my composite bonding, which is meant to last years, and it has not lasted over two months both times, no refund or fixing it for free when it did not work. Last time visibly uneven, I’ve paid full price every time as it was an emergency. Will not be going back.

Fantastic experience: Best dental experience ever! Dr Rami is a genius with such a lovely, kindly and caring manner. Treatment was quick and completely pain free. I’d sustained a broken front tooth in an accident resulting in the tooth being jagged and it looked a mess. I rang Tammy in desperation and she was so understanding and efficiently got me an appointment immediately. I was in tears when I entered the spa, so upset was I about how the tooth looked and felt. Dr Rami was kind, friendly and reassuring and took time to answer all my questions about treatment (and, believe me, I had plenty!) He did the most amazing job of fixing the broken tooth and matching it perfectly to the others. It looks and feels completely natural. I also didn’t feel a thing! So nice to be able to smile again. Dr Rami is so talented! All the other staff are so caring and friendly too (the lovely receptionist went above and beyond to put me at ease and I really appreciated how caring she was.) Definitely highly recommend this dental spa and Dr Rami.

From start to finish, it's been a fantastic experience. First, I had a consult with Tammy, who was absolutely fab. She made me feel so comfortable and answered all my questions—no matter how daft they were. Plus, the finance options she suggested meant I could actually afford to fix my smile after a swimming accident in Thailand that left my teeth looking like a jigsaw puzzle! Then, there's Chris McCrudden, the dentist who literally put a smile back on my face! After he fixed my teeth, I went from hiding my grin to showing it off at every opportunity. He's got great banter and somehow made me look forward to my dental appointments—a miracle in itself! Shoutout to dental nurse Chloe, who always made sure I was comfortable and helped me choose the perfect shade for my whitening treatment. Chris and Chloe's teamwork is top-notch, and I always felt in safe hands. Nic and Rhona at the front desk are absolute legends too! They're so friendly and chatty, it's like catching up with old friends every time I go in. Who knew a trip to the dentist could feel like a social event? Lauren and Kalaia, the dental therapists not only got my gums back in shape but also turned me into an electric toothbrush and flossing convert. Kalaia even convinced me to start tongue brushing! My mum is so impressed with my results that she's getting me to sign her up for a consult with Tammy too! Talk about a family affair! Cherrybank Dental Spa is a proper game-changer for anyone who breaks out in a cold sweat at the thought of sitting in that chair. The whole gang there is just brilliant! And if your diary's so jam-packed with work, kids and life stuff that you can't remember the last time you had a proper catch-up with mates, a visit to Cherrybank might just become the highlight of your week! ️

Negative experience: I am posting this review only after Cherrybank Dental Spa failed to respond to my email for over a week. I had an extremely distressing experience during my recent hygiene appointment. Despite being a nervous patient—something previously acknowledged and accommodated—the hygienist showed no sensitivity or communication. Instead, I was immediately questioned about a specific lifestyle habit, with no other factors considered, and received a dismissive remark about tartar buildup. Unlike previous visits where I was treated with care, this appointment was painful and lacked explanation. At the end, I was abruptly told I had decay, handed a mirror without context, and left feeling panicked and humiliated. After a long wait, the dentist reassured me that there was no urgent concern—contradicting the hygienist’s earlier implication. Cherrybank markets itself as supportive of nervous patients, but this visit left me feeling dismissed and deeply let down. I will not be seeing this hygienist again and hope the practice takes steps to ensure all patients receive the compassionate care they claim to provide.

Fantastic experience: I visited Cherrybank Dental Spa in March 2024 for an initial consultation. Next step was discussing the proposed dental plan with Tammy Cardwell Smile Advisor. Tammy was very approachable and helpful. Following on I met Lauren Long Dental Hygienist who provides an excellent dental cleanse and polish. In December I completed a course of restorative work with John McAleavey and dental nurse Rachael. Dr McAleavey took time to answer any questions and gave me a full explanation re hairline fractures, bruxism, teeth whitening, composite restoration and ceramic onlays. He also presented photos indicating the reasons for the required treatment which is really helpful. I am very happy with the treatment I received and the end result. The reception team are very helpful and efficient. I recommend Cherrybank as I found all the staff to be professional and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I recently had an emergency appointment to fix an implant healing cap that I initially had done in Poland. What an outstanding place! The waiting area was nice and not overcrowded with people. The receptionists were absolutely amazing—everyone was friendly and calm, which made a huge difference in my experience. The service was so good that I registered my family straight after. Highly recommend this dental practice!

Fantastic experience: I went to this appointment at the end of my tether and very frustrated with my tmd issue. My dentist john quickly confirmed my suspicions about my bite being off were correct and contributing to my problems. He also took the time to go through everything in great detail and made sure I fully understood the road to recovery. I now feel like I’m in good hands and have a short term plan and a longer term plan to get back to good dental health. By far the best dentist I’ve ever seen highly skilled and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Great experience. I've only had my temporary veneers done so far, but they look great and I'm excited for the real things. I accidentally broke one a few days after getting them done (my own fault) and the staff at Cherrybank went out of their way to get me an emergency appointment within a few hours and one of their dentists managed to patch me up immediately with a follow up check the next day. Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. Crazy expensive & very poorly organised. I had started the implant process, spent £100s and luckily got disillusioned with the service: appointment mix-ups, poor admin & communication, unexpected costs, malfunctioning equipment, unbelievable time delays & extremely expensive. My total treatment plan was to cost in excess of £40k so I expected much more from this practice! E.g. 1. Querying a charge at reception I asked if we might refer to my treatment/payment plan. However, the receptionist was unable to find it or provide any explanation. 2. I had an appointment to re-take scans just before last Christmas (I believe for the 2nd time!). I arrived at the practice but couldn't gain access or get anyone on the phone. When reception responded to the message I'd left they informed me the practice had moved from Stockbridge to Hanover St! Just ridiculous. I gave up on Cherrybank/Links, after wasting months and, upon reccomendation sought work at New Life Teeth. I'm delighted with every aspect of N.L.'s work so, if you're researching getting implants in Edinburgh I'd implore you to keep looking!

Fantastic experience: John McAleavey is an outstanding dentist, there is literally nothing he can’t fix. He set’s a plan for your treatment and that’s his focus, he’ll bring in the rest of the team when required as well, the whole team are brilliant and can’t do enough for you. Fantastic experience: I want to start by saying that phoning cherrybank was the best thing I ever done. I’ve always been self conscious about my front teeth and have wanted to get them fixed but after a bad experience with another dentist I was scared. I phoned and spoke to Tammy who really made me feel at ease. I went in and explained about my past experiences and that I was worried my health conditions might be a problem but she reassured me that I would be okay and went through all the different options! I had damaged to my back teeth from my seizures and grinding them so they offered to take them out for me for free which really meant a lot! I’ve been back over the past couple months having work done and every time they have always been lovely and welcoming! I really can’t explain the difference in my self confidence and happiness even after the first appointment so I can’t wait to see how I will look and feel at the end! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is nervous or has had bad experiences in the past because they really take their time and make sure you are okay and things are going at a pace you are comfortable with!

Fantastic experience: At my first ever appointment with Rachel Steel at Cherrybank Dental Spa, she assessed the amount of work that was required to be done on my teeth. Rachel, as well as being very friendly and pleasant, came over as being extremely knowledgeable too. She was happy to share with me her reasoning regarding the nature of the work that needed to be carried out on my teeth. Where there were options regarding just how the work could be carried out, she was happy to explain to me each of the options, along with the possible implications of each option. Today she commenced doing the actual work on my teeth. My appointment was to be a one-hour one, but in view of the amount of work that was needed, Rachel asked me if I had the extra time, should the appointment end up being longer than one hour. It was completely convenient to me. As it happened, I was with Rachel for an hour and twenty minutes in total, but it certainly did not feel as long as that. If I was worried about anything at all, it was with how skilled she would be with giving me the two injections that were required. I need not have worried though, as they were completely pain-free. Rachel worked on six of my teeth in total, and I have to say that it was not an unpleasant experience at all. It usually takes time for a patient to feel completely at ease with a dentist. For me, Rachel earned that top spot long before the appointment was even over. Assisting Rachel was dental nurse, Luca. Luca was skilful and efficient, and she also deserves to be given top marks.

The staff are excellent from the minute you walk in the door, creating a very calm and relaxed atmosphere for patients like me who are nervous. Fantastic experience: I can't recommend this practice enough. I'm phobic of dentistry- for good reasons. However, the whole team and environment put me at ease. My dentist Chris had an almost miraculous ability to inspire total confidence in him. I really appreciated being treated without judgement, total respect and a bit of well placed humour! I need a lot of work doing. All my options were explained very clearly, the prices laid out, and I can see a bright light at the end of the tunnel. I'm not easy to win over, being an ex-nurse. But also, as an ex-nurse, I know when I meet highly competent health professionals. I now have total confidence in a dentist for the first time in my life.

Fantastic experience: Cherrybank has been pretty much excellent from start to finish. Operationally in terms of appointments, reminders etc but most importantly in respect of the treatment itself from treatment plan to completing the work. I hated, hated the dentist - this experience may just have changed my mind. Expensive, yes, but you get what pay for. I was not happy with the way my teeth looked and the treatment they recommended resulted in a transformation that exceed my expectations. Would highly recommend to others, as long as you are prepared to stick to the treatment plan.

Negative experience: If I could rate zero I would I had an absolutely awful experience in the clinic. I put so much time into doing research and was lead into a false sense of security from the top reviews and the Pain Free Dentistry promised as well as stress free. The initial zoom meeting was great and from this I was given a pricing and it was valid for 3 months. From this I decided to go ahead and make an appointment with one of their Dentists. On their information it says they have disabled parking availability which they didn’t as it’s all blocked off due to road works. We had to find a space and I had to then walk which I find it extremely challenging and painful. On getting into the surgery which is not easy to find I was then ushered into a room which I thought was for the appointment it was to sit on a high seat to take Polaroid pictures in case I wanted any cosmetic procedures done. I asked to stop as this already felt wrong and not why I was there. On meeting the Dentist as a highly anxious person with a long medical illness she was totally at odds to what I had asked for and why I was there. She then began interrogating me and was really hostile in her manner. Even looking at my teeth she was not gentle and the more this carried on the more anxious and distressed I became. As she was unable to deescalate the situation I decided to leave. I am still in shock and it’s now made my anxiety about dentists a whole lot worse. ************************************************ Thanks for your extremely corporate uncaring robot response to the absolute distress and lack of communication and downright nasty narcissistic staff who seem to believe they are in a position of power that as a ‘trained medical professionals’ that their advice and decisions are not either ill informed or even wrong. That as the client you are there to be judged and made to feel responsible for the situation you are in when you’ve got no control over any of it. To then refuse to get off your very large judgmental horse and gaslight your client who is lying on their back with a person literally becoming enraged with you, demanding you explain how you let this happen? Then when not liking the answers to what she was hearing it then continued to escalate. Further to this she seemed surprised when I wasn’t relaxed or calm! On deciding I needed to leave she actually told me I couldn’t, she wasn’t finished!! I was being very kind when I made the review but now after seeing this bland legalese excuse of we’re not sorry but we have to be sorry. I didn’t name any individual staff who did what they did but nah, you think you can employ a Dentist who behaves completely unable to control or regulate their emotions and has carte blanche to carry on in this way after your clients have been lead to believe they are getting top class private healthcare and still have to pay for the service they haven’t provided you? Being ranted at and someone that refuses to just stop talking at 100 words a second, being completely unwilling to admit they had no clue but to then gaslight me on top of it all to tell me I had to listen to your advice that she didn’t have to do anything if she didn’t want to because she had a qualification in dentistry and I didn’t? Well she isn’t a Dr in my lifelong severe illness where a combination of nutritional and absorption issues and loss of bone mass meant that my teeth were crumbling on their own. She basically put this down to me being lazy with my hygiene and not eating a balanced diet!! No lady!! I can’t eat food I only have ensure shakes which you can only get through the dietitian. Added to that she knew why I was there and what I’d asked for in the screening appointment before hand. So she had every opportunity to cancel me before I came to the appointment, which she did not do. So to Rhona and her dental assistant who just watched this occur Thank You! I dont want or need a response from you because I managed to find a good and decent Dentist who carried out the dentistry I required and needed urgently.

Negative experience: Well this place should once and for all dispel the illusion that private healthcare means better service . Creationism is one of the words that springs to mind when I think of some of the entitled staff working here. But not the lovely Irish receptionist who was my first point of contact in relation for an enquiry . She was very patient , friendly and helpful . I thought this must be the way they all are. However once I dealt with Rhona I feel the opposite she had a silly bossy tone , even though the practice is a private business , I would have thought eager to get new business on a daily basis and make people feel at ease. She talked like an uncaring and dictatorial bot during the interactions . She just took my payment in a snap did not tell me I would need to fill out a form on the same morning , I was shopping around at the last minute and had a imperative issue the appointment was a few hours away . Not everyone carries around devices to fill stuff in or has the time . Rhona seemed to lack empathy . Rhona snapped that I could fill it in when I got there . Rhona did not offer any assistance or say anyone would help with the forms if needed . Did they not train her that some customers might be dyslexic or something . Either way she should have climbed down off her unearned high horse and said forms must be filled in before taking my money. Took my money and when I did not auto tell her how great it would be to fill in forms , She said you can cancel your appointment. I did not even complain or protest I just did not cut the mustard for the narcissism permeating from the reception phone . It seems . Horrible unfriendly entitled tone on her . To cut it . My money has not been returned and that is five working days latter . I have never had to wait for a refund for so long. Her stupid attitude put me in financial hardship and I had to see about getting in with a state sponsored dentist , who actually turned out to have a lovely receptionist team and welcoming ehtos . I feel sorry for people who have had to pay to come here . With their stupid requirement to photograph for cosmos work, I phoned yesterday and another flat toned miserable reactionist told me told me some speal about it all being down to the bank. Like I said never had to wait this long to get loads of money back . Sure they will write back and fudge matters. But all in all going private in Scotland your just getting less then what can be sought in a good NHS dentist . In addition how ridiculous to claim you can offer pain free treatment when all teeth are connected to nerves.

Fantastic experience: I have very sensitive teeth & my last dentist would not give me any numbing injections ?? so when my teeth were being cleaned it was really painful, so hence why I took myself to Cherrybank Dental Practice, everything is pain free, they even apply numbing cream so you don't even feel the injections going into your gums, so it's a win win for me.

Fantastic experience: I came to Tammy firstly to get a consultation, I had been to a couple other places too, but this was the only meeting I had where I didn’t feel pressured into other treatments. I had expressed that I wanted to keep costs down & wasn’t prepared to commit to Invisalign and Tammy straight away took this on board. She was open about all treatment routes I could go down but the main thing is I wasn’t pushed into anything or felt I was being sold something! Again this was the same when I met Dr Umair, I knew my teeth could benefit from straightening but he heard what I wanted and focused my treatment plan on that. I ended up with whitening, a small bit of gum contouring and composite bonding. Dr Umair comes across really professional and knows exactly what he’s doing so you know your teeth are in good hands. During all my appointments his calm nature kept me calm, I’m not a nervous patient but it had been a while so I was apprehensive! Grainne is also so friendly and super calming, she’d have a nice wee chat with me before & after which calmed my nerves. What a team! I also had the fear to get my impressions for my guard/whitening tray which I told Dr Umair about, somehow he made this feel like nothing and kept me relaxed. My results speak for themselves too, compared to what you can get done to your teeth I didn’t get too much done but it’s an unreal transformation. I wanted my teeth to look more uniform and get rid of the gaps I had, whilst still looking natural and got exactly that. I absolutely love the work that’s been done to my teeth - my confidence in my smile is so much better now!

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars - I would. The experience with Cherrybank has been downright disgusting. I was misled from the first consultation, encouraged to get scans and X-rays done even though Cherrybank wouldn’t be able to carry out the treatment I needed (which they knew but I didn’t) and only after spending money with them did they then decide to inform me they couldn’t help. They then offered to refer me to the dental hospital but did so 2 weeks after saying they would, provided the dental hospital with no information and a halfassed referral which was declined. I complained on the 21/08 and the “manager” has done nothing but extend deadlines on replying, not replied or ignored me all together and I’m left two months later STILL waiting on a promised solution and refund. They claim to care about their clients but the service I’ve received shows anything but. I will never recommend Cherrybank to anyone and suggest you give this place a wide berth.

Fantastic experience: Had a dental emergency last week and own dentist were unable to help with pain relief. Carried out a google search and CHERRYBANK came up. Called them and explained circumstances. Emergency appointment arranged for following day, attended and was treated with courtesy, respect and empathy. Saw Dr Vera who carried out necessary emergency treatment to alleviate the pain, which turned out to be pulpitis. Highly recommended for anyone suffering severe dental pain. Will be going back for normal dental care from now. Thanks again Dr Vera and CHERRYBANK.

If yes, I highly recommend to contact Cherrybank's friendly and helpful reception. Their receptionist listened well to any of my concerns and found the perfect person for me to start my dental journey with. After filling out a small questionnaire about my dental situation and my desired results, I was scheduled to meet Tammy, Cherrybank's Smile Advisor. On my first visit with her she was very well prepared and knew all the details about me which I have provided via the questionnaire without having to look at it during our appointment. She ensured me that my perfect smile can most definitely be achieved within a few months. She made me feel understood, cared for and at ease. After meeting Tammy a few more times to discuss potential cost of treatment and to allow me to ask any questions I had on my mind, she recommended Chris McCrudden to me. She stated that he is a true perfectionist and very good with nervous patients. On my first visit with dentist Chris and dental nurse Marta, both made me feel very comfortable. Together we crafted a perfect plan for the next months to come and discussed the final price. They recommended visiting their lovely dental hygiene team first, who gave me a professional clean and provided me with valuable information, tips and tricks on how to keep my new smile clean and healthy. On my next appointments, Chris and Marta continued with the previously crafted treatment plan. Both were very well prepared at all times and made me feel at ease. I didn't feel nervous. Their attention to detail, calming way and caring abilities were exceptional. The provided cosy blanket and stress balls were amazing and helped me during each appointment. I was also able to use my own headphones listening to music, which made the time fly by so much quicker. At no time did I experience any pain or discomfort during treatment. I also loved that Tammy checked in with me every now and then to see how I was doing. Now, 7 months after contacting Cherrybank for the first time, I can say that this has been the best dental experience I've ever had. It was worth every penny! I highly recommend everyone mentioned in this review. Thank you for your excellent service, kindness and professionalism throughout my journey.

Fantastic experience: Your colleagues Nikolaos Vourakis and Tammy Cardwell gave me a no nonsense assessment of my dental problems. It’s allowed me to make an informed decision going forward - or not as the case may be. There was absolutely no pressure in making a decision. They are a credit to your company.

Negative experience: I believe I became a patient in 2012 and whilst the changes due to Covid were understandable, I think that since there is no longer any form of spa offering or any form of premium feeling at Cherrybank, it is pretty appalling that a dental clean is now £126. That’s insane. I recall £90 (the old price) feeling that bit high but it was made up for in the fact that there was such a focus on the menu of services, being handed spa extras on a laminated menu to select, and attention to detail in every cleaning where you’d be ask if you wanted to focus on a cosmetic clean or gum treatment… Now I have twice left not much actual cleaning has happened and certainly there is nothing spa like on offer. Perhaps if you were coming for a smile make over you will find it ok but … it’s just a basic private dental practice at an insane price point these days. It’s just gone downhill. I’ve been here for years and years. That’s very sad.

The whole team at Cherrybank are outstanding, my dentist; Chris Mccrudden and his two dental nurses, I really can’t thank them enough for all their help and support over the last six months. All of them are marvellous, making the experience so much more pleasant with their considerate attention / approach. My dentist Chris McCrudden and dental nurse Marta have always ensured that I was involved in the process and always took my opinion into consideration. Fantastic experience: Cherry Bank dental is next level cosmetic dentistry. All members of staff are all excellent at their jobs. The results are simply stunning. I felt so listened to. I felt cared for. The work was 100% pain free I was blown away by the whole process. From my initial meeting - where my concerns were patiently talked through, and my expectations were exceeded - to the final results. Chris is an absolute perfectionist. He isn’t happy until you are happy. You get the “Trial Smile”. Which I loved. This is an acrylic version of your final veneers. You live with the temporaries for 2 weeks, which is excellent as you have time to really understand and decide if you want to make any changes to these. Don’t worry though, the temporaries are gorgeous too, and very secure. Chris will add and take away from these temporaries until you are happy. Then the final veneers are ordered. These are EXACTLY what you ask for. The final veneers are beautiful. They sparkle like real teeth. They are colour variated like real teeth, and they have ridges like real teeth. You will be so happy with the results. Chris is so talented. I hardly smiled st sll before. Now, I am smiling all the time. Marta is wonderful too. So kind, gentle, and caring. Chris and Marta are the dream team of dentistry. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to the clinic for a couple of years and all are good experiences. My last treatment with Kirsty went better than expected. Plus she is always very professional and fast, you can see how much she loves her work. I never thought that I could be happy going to the dentist. The reception team is also very friendly and communicates impeccably, always willing to help.

Fantastic experience: You have no idea what a difference Chris and the team have made to my life. I wouldn't step out the house before I had my new smile. I was petrified from the dentist because of a bad experience when I was younger and refused to go. When I walked in and explained how anxious I am the team done nothing but reassure me and put me at ease. I got to the point I actually enjoyed going and couldn't wait to have my work done. I certainly won't be going anywhere else from now on. It's also very true it is pain free. There is no amount of words that i can say to show how greatful I am to you all so this will just have to do, thank you from the bottom of my heart for saving my life and giving me it back ♥️

Fantastic experience: It's always such a pleasure to come here. The office is impeccably clean, and the waiting room is very comfortable. But what really matters is the quality of the service and care I've received here, and it's been excellent.

Fantastic experience: I cannot stress how good my experience has been here. The staff are lovely and they're great professionals. I was not at my best (I had health anxiety) and they did everything they could to help me. I really felt they were listening and caring about me. Negative experience: Unfortunately I cannot recommend Cherrybank. The problems are largely administrative, e.g.: - They took a £50 securing deposit from me, which is fine, except they've never let me use it against any appointment despite my repeatedly asking, and despite it repeatedly being shown as credit on my account when I ask for invoices - They re-charged me the securing deposit when they moved to a new accounting system, because they just didn't notice there was already £50 credit on my account - Every time I contact them they assume I'm a new patient, regardless of what I say in the email, and re-send me the same introductory spiel - Many times I've been told they'll contact me to follow up about a potential treatment or appointment, but they never do However, in terms of dental care, I have also experienced: - the MOST painful cleaning I've ever had in my life, by far. I nearly got up and walked out, and did tear up from the pain. The hygeinist blamed me for not coming in enough (this was during the pandemic, so...not exactly my choice) - Relatively dismissive behaviour from Dr. Umair. One of my incisors has a filling due to previously cracked enamel. The filling isn't working for me any more, my tooth is nearly see-through and the cutting edge is sharp enough to bother me, but I was told repeatedly that the only choice would be for me to get veneers on all four front teeth or it would be impossible to get them to match. Perhaps there's something I don't understand, but I have friends who have had a single incisor fixed up after it being chipped or cracked and it looks fine on them. I never received a satisfactory explanation as to why my situation is different, if that is even true. - To be honest, the cleanings are fine but seem suspiciously fast and slightly below the thoroughness I've experienced elsewhere I've been going to them for a while but have finally given up and will be finding a new dentist.
