Fantastic experience: My husband and I attended the South Cliff practice this morning and can’t speak more highly enough of Irene and her nurse. They were so helpful, patient and kind. No one is excited to visit the dentist but they made the whole experience stress less, thank you.
Fantastic experience: Due crazing of my front teeth I was very conscious of my appearance and had stopped smiling, Muhammad advised that he could do a cosmetic procedure, which he completed today. I was concerned as did not want to make my appearance worse but he was very professional explained everything he was going to do and took no time at all to improve my smile! He was assisted by Leah who was lovely too. Added bonus didn’t hurt either! Thank you Muhammad and Leah I look forward to seeing you again in six months time!

Fantastic experience: Irene and Kate were brilliant. I broke my front theeth years ago slipping on water and landing on my them in a shop. Ive had bits build on at angles over the years. It wasn't until I saw Irene and Kate that I now have two front theeth at the right level built on with fillings. They reassured me it was possible. And gave me time to adjust to my phobia. Irene is no doubt a perfectionist and meant for this job. Kate was so accommodating and ever so nurturing making me feel so at ease. Would always return now.

Fantastic experience: Me and my three year old daughter recently had a check up. The whole team from the receptionists, to the dentist and nurses were so lovely and were incredible with my daughter! Last year she wouldn’t even get in the chair or open her mouth but she was more than happy to this time round because of how brilliant the dentist and the nurse was. They really made a fuss of her and got her involved by letting her hold the mirror and explaining everything they were going to do. She now keeps asking to go back to see the dentist. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: They are literally so lovely here, had to get quiet a bit of work done today and the dental assistant held my hand when I had my numbing injections as I told them I was nervous, and both her and the dentist were so reassuring throughout the process asking if I’m okay and told me we can have a break anytime I need too and just to raise my hand if I wanted to stop, they was super gentle with my numbing injections (unlike I’ve had before at other dentists), the receptionists are lovely too and have been great booking in any appointments for me I’ve needed, and this is NHS care I’ve received as well! Would recommend this dentist if anyone asked me 100%

Negative experience: If I could leave no stars I would will never visit this dentist again just told them to take me off the books. After weeks of pain I finally got a appointment only to get a temp filling in a rotten tooth! Kept coming up with excuses not to take the tooth out. So a phone call to another dentist yesterday at 10am by 430pm the tooth was out and dealt with professionaly no arguments no excuses.

Fantastic experience: I have been at this practice for several years now and have always found everyone from receptionists through to the dental assistants and dentist to be friendly and helpful.
Fantastic experience: Amazing atmosphere. I went in to have a couple fillings done by Dr farjad and Lauren. I'm generally a little nervous at the dentist due to bad experiences at other dentists but they made me feel so relaxed and I found myself laughing multiple times. I feel lucky to have them as my dentist/nurse.
Negative experience: Shambolic! This is a true example of the NHS dentistry system being in Crisis.
Fantastic experience: *I had a cleaning with hygienist *Helen and I cannot recommend her highly enough.She was incredible gentle throughout the entire appointment and took the time to explain each step clearly.Her technique was painless and she made sure I felt comfortable at all times. What stood most was her tips for improving my flossing technique.It is rare to find a hygienist how combine such technical,skills and positive energy.. Thanks to *Helen* my teeth feel fantastic and I actually look forward to my next cleaning
Negative experience: Nightmare cancelled my appointment 3 times now tellyou to call at 8 every morning for emergency appointment got tro a few times just a few minutes past 8 to be told the no appointment all went the day before this happened on several occasions why tell people to call when they're gone the day before ask why appointment was cancelled the 3 time same excuse dentist is on holiday its a complete nightmare

Negative experience: Terrible. Many upsetting and frustrating instances but the worst was when they ask for hygienest to be paid up front but then the appointment gets cancelled twice for some made up excuses. Then when I get there 2 months later for the appointment none of the equipment was ready or working. Laid upside down in the chair for 29 minutes nervous as anything while the test the equipment on me! Traumatic to be honest. Took them 3 months to refund me due to the only person who is authorised to process refunds being on holiday. So ridiculous! Better systems need to be in place because this was a shambles.
Negative experience: They left my sister in pain with rotten gums a vernable Adult discusting company I have written up complaints to the higher ups and yes social services well be getting involved

Negative experience: They keep cancelling my original appointment, been going on for 4 months now,the latest cancellation was while I was sitting in reception waiting to been seen.as someone who stuggles mentally with going to the dentist I've found the whole process deflating, gave the same excuse 3 times (someone has booked you in with the wrong person)what,3 times in a row?I highly doubt it.i feel like they just fob people of when it suits them,totally unprofessional, plus the clinic could do with a good clean.i had now booked in with a different dentist elsewhere

Negative experience: I have tried to get an emergency dentist appointment for three days in a row and haven't been able to get one, even as a registered patient. I was told to queue outside before 8 am to get an emergency appointment, and did so on Monday at 7:30 am, and Tuesday at 6:50 am and did not manager to get an appointment. I was told to ring up at 8 am on the Wednesday which I did bang on time and they still didn't have any appointments available. They have one dentist who works there and only around 3 emergency appointments every day. From when I queued up, there are around 10+ people everyday trying to get an emergency appointment at the same time and it's impossible to get one. As a patient this is incredibly frustrating as you cannot get emergency dental care when needed.

Negative experience: Twice I've had my appointments cancelled because they are for check ups and not treatment. I have to have regular dental check up for my bone cancer treatment. It's not good enough. They want your teeth to rot first so they can get more money doing treatment

Fantastic experience: Visited here today as a very nervous patient because of past histories with other dentists years ago. I have to say that I was very pleased to see how kind and caring all the staff were at this place. Everyone from the reception staff to the dental team accepted and understood my nervousness and did everything to help me feel relaxed and looked after. Negative experience: Something terrible is happening in this practice. In the last 6 months i have been unable to attend a yearly check up because they say they have no NHS dentists. Ralitsa who is an amazing dentist, left after a decade and all other capable clinicians are abandoning this practice as if it were a sinking ship. The front of house staff who used to be friendly a year ago, look and sound fed up. The clinic looks tired. Is this the end of our NHS dentist services? I am scared of the future ….
Negative experience: As an NHS patient, I arrived at 8am for an emergency appointment as suggested by your staff when I called yesterday. On arrival I was turned away by those same staff claiming there were no appointments available. I pay for all my dental treatment plus I pay taxes into the NHS so I expect you to be available when I need you. Today you were not and have clearly demonstrated that private dental care is the way to go for priority treatment. I now have an appointment with another dentist for 3pm today. Good luck jumping the queue of entitled claimants if you attend South Cliff dental group.
Negative experience: Id give a minus star review if i could. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! had my appointment cancelled 3 times due to "dentist being on leave" then leaving the practice on a certain day altogether. 1st appointment cancelled, waited 2 months. 2nd appointment came around and they cancelled again.. waited another 2 months to be cancelled on AGAIN. Ive had to go on antidepressants due to suicidal thoughts due to constant pain, the tooth is rotting more and more and they couldnt care less. Save yourself and your money, go private and get out whilst you still can.
Positive experience: South cliff has been great for my first 2 appointments. However now not great service now. I’ve had 2 appointments cancelled in the last 6 months. Sickness I know cannot be helped but dentists going to other practices when they have appointments already booked in is outrageous. My partner also has been removed from south cliff as he ‘missed’ 2 appointments. When in fact he called in advance about one of them to tell them he wasn’t going to make it due to work circumstances. His appointments were also cancelled, leaving him confused about dates and times etc. he showed up on the wrong day at the right time due to these cancellations by the practice. Not happy!

Negative experience: HORRIFIC NHS patients are left to suffer. It's a regular occurrence for their NHS patience's to be left without emergency care. Due to sending NHS dentists to other practices. Started in dec, got an app in feb! Only to be dismissed without x-ray with an ongoing JAWBONE INFECTION. I had to request this via the practice manager. We are now in March & I have still received no treatment. Absolutely appalling, neglectful & negligent.

Negative experience: The ladies at the reception are unacceptably rude. the worst experience of my life. Won't be going back to this terrible place. After finally being able to make an appointment after having to go there in person after trying for days to get through on the phone, they told me my tooth needed to be taken out or another option is antibiotics ♀️ My EMERGENCY appointment offered was 6 weeks away which I had no choice but to take. On the day of the visit they did anything, but take a x ray picture and tap on the tooth. the doctor said he can't do anything, another visit is needed. The reception suggested in May. Despite the fact that I complained of pain and terrible discomfort…. total disappointment!!

I went back today for my emergency extraction appointment to be told it was just a review appointment I walked out and will be finding another dentist as this is shocking.

Fantastic experience: I have had a fear/phobia for dentists for many years, until I was recommended to South Cliff clifftonville, where my Dentist Rayan and nurse Beth changed that, they care, they gave me incredible service and made me feel Comfortable, instead of walking in shaking, I looked forward to my appointments, I walked in smiling. Due to me not going to a dentist in years I needed a lot of work which included a lot of drilling, I’m so incredibly great-full, my treatment has now finished, my smile is back, and no more pain, I’ve already booked my next check up. All staff from reception through to the nurses and dentist themselves are hard working, welcoming, and they do everything they can to help, the sad news that Rayan, the best dentist I’ve had the pleasure of knowing, is leaving, and will be sorely missed, by many of her customers, an incredible caring dentist, I wanted to thank all of you ladies at south Cliff clifftonville for excellent customer service, well done each of you. Negative experience: Been on hold at number 1 for 2 hours, spent 4 hours on hold yesterday to move appointment only to be hung up on at 5pm. They want notice to cancel appointments but never answer the phone, would have been quicker to walk there

I have been for an over an hour and a half. I was apparently number 4 in queue when I started. That's today. I tried to call them several days last week and held for 2:30 before giving up. Negative experience: Been on hold for almost 90 minutes already just to try and speak to receptionist. This for an emergency appointment from a 111 referral. Started at 8th and still only 3rd in the queue. That's over 10 minutes per caller. Awful awful service. Would've been quicker to walk there.
Positive experience: Dental care at this practice once you are there is excellent. Trying to get them to answer the ‘phone is a different story. 90 mins wait and a call gets dropped. I ‘phoned today as a filling had fallen out and I don’t live in Margate. Started at 6th in the queue. One hour and ten minutes later I’m still 2nd in the queue. Pretty sure it will be that way until 5pm (1 hours time) and the call will get dropped. Looks like I will have to drive over tomorrow morning just to get an appointment for who knows when. Come on practice manager, it’s really not good enough.
Negative experience: Was listed as having emergency dental appointments. Was on hold for almost 3 hours where they cut my call off. Tried the emergency dental line and now all emergency appointments in Kent have been taken. Yet another day of excruciating pain because they don’t know how to answer a phone. Practice should be disbanded.
Positive experience: After having a serious fall and ending up toothless I registered at South cliff the receptionists are efficient kind and welcoming and always smiling and the treatment I received from Ryan Gibril and team was excellent I now have lovely new dentures that are perfect thank you all so much The only criticism would be the telephone system but if you E Mail reception you get a quick response.
Fantastic experience: I called at 10 in the morning and was seen at 2:35, I can honestly say it’s the most smooth running and friendly dentist I have ever attended. Negative experience: I Can never get through to them without waiting on hold for hours. I need a filling done which I had to pay a deposit for over a year ago and was told I would get a phone call for the appointment. After phoning 3 times to chase this "appointment" I keep getting told someone will get back to me to this day I am still waiting for somebody to get back to me and still waiting for an appointment. They seemed happy to take my money but don't seem keen to get the next appointment done! Only heard negative things about this dentist but with no other dentists taking on I'm not left with much choice!
Fantastic experience: Needed to go out my hometown for dental treatment for my daughter and was very impressed with this dental practice, receptionists are friendly and welcoming and the dentist and assistant were so patient and caring towards my daughter I couldn't have wanted more for her. Fantastic experience: As a child, I had an awful experience with a dentist which left me, quite literally, terrified of dentists. After trying several dentists whom I would describe as “OK” I found Meena at the Margate practice. I had to have four fillings because I had left my teeth for so long because of my fear and as I have already mentioned, I was terrified. I needn’t have been. She was so gentle and so kind. Her attitude was so positive and reassuring. And she listened to me. I hardly felt the needle from the injections to numb my gums. This was revalation number one. Next came the drill. Terrified again. Once more I needn’t have been. Apart from slight pressure, I didn’t feel the drill at all. This was revelation number two. I have NEVER not felt the drill. Before the treatment had begun, I had explained to Meena that I had an extra row of nerves in my gums which had been discovered at Guys hospital. She took notice of me. This was revelation number three. The rest of the procedure was painless as well. Hundreds of people will testify that they never feel it when they fillings at the dentist. I have ALWAYS felt it. I left the dental practice a different person who is no longer terrified of my dentist. Thank you so much Meena.

She did an amazing job of rebuilding my tooth and along with a check up she also suggested a couple of other treatments for me. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Negative experience: Appalling level of service and a disgrace to the NHS. Booked and paid for a first appointment, as we are new to the area and struggled to find an NHS dentist for so long. They phoned and cancelled my appointment 3 times with far fetched excuses each time! I appreciate unforeseen circumstances can occur, but cancellations should get priority rebooking - Not told its going to be another month+ This is unacceptable so I told them to forget it and I will just have a refund and try to find somewhere else. My partner came to the surgery and was told they couldn't give a refund because it had to be approved by a manager who conveniently wasn't there that day or any other day. A couple of months went by and we still didn't receive a refund despite sending emails/ phone calls to chase it up. Fortunately we were able to claim the payment back via our credit card. This felt like a total scam and in my opinion legal action should be taken against this place. I will now pay to go private because places like this give the NHS a terrible name. Avoid at all costs if you value your hard earned money.
Negative experience: on the phone for 2 and a half hours trying to get an appointment. i was 7th when i first called, now i have been 1st for around an hour and a half. how long does it take to pick up a phone? the phone disconnected at 5pm and i still don’t have the appointment that i need after waiting on the damn phone for so long! whenever i’m in the practice the phone is always ringing and the receptionist never bothers to pick up the phone even if it’s constantly ringing. this is unacceptable!!!
