Positive experience: The treatment is top quality, professional as one would expect but to wait 30 minutes for each treatment when you are there at 8am and nobody says anything to you; its just awful. How can a dentist be running late on the first appointment. Its not the first time either. Never been seen on time.

Positive experience: The dentist was great. However, I don’t think the practice should advertise their free parking spaces without checking if patients actually will have access to these, due to cricket fixtures. I’ve had to incur a further charge for parking which hadn’t been anticipated.

Negative experience: Avoid. The surgery accepts NHS patients but it's a money grabbing outfit, designed to force you to pay privately even for a basic check up. The young dentist I met was bone idle lazy, inexperienced and refused to do work that is listed as part of NHS Band A treatment. He said a "scrape and polish" was "at his discretion." Disgracefully unprofessional. He just couldn't be bothered.

Fantastic experience: The nicest dentist surgery I’ve been to! All the niceties of a private practise, but they also accept NHS patients, which is how I was there. Negative experience: Not great I’m afraid. Keep cancelling appointments which has led to me having an enormous abscess with unbearable pain and unable to work . Had to go back twice as treatment provided for abscess not working .

Fantastic experience: I am new to the practice and have visited twice now. The first for my initial check up and the second for a clean. My dentist is Raabia and she is brilliant. I have had some bad experiences with dentists in the past but she put me at ease and was great throughout my whole check up. My second visit was recently with Mili who is a dental hygienist at the practice and again was brilliant throughout the whole appointment. Everyone is very personable and friendly and you feel a real sense of care from them. Best experience I’ve had with a dentistry and would recommend anyone new to the area or anyone looking to change.

Negative experience: Very unimpressed with the service this visit. We are NHS patients, but all the dentist wanted to do was make us pay for extras. He informed me my teeth needed a descaling which is included in the price, but even though I still had 10 minutes of my appointment left, when I asked for it to be done, he said there wasn't enough time. The same thing then happened with my husband afterwards, with exactly the same sales pitch. We were both seen and paid and in our car by 3 pm, which was the start time of my husbands appointment. He didn't even check out jaws properly, just blew some air between our teeth and made them feel worse than they were when I went in. Just because we are NHS, we should not have second class service. We paid £54 to be treated like children. I've been cleaning my teeth for almost 6 decades, so I think I know how to do it by now. We drove 45 minutes each way to be told we need to pay more. Not happy at all this visit.

Negative experience: Constantly cancelling or changing the times of my appointments. Yesterday I was given 4 hours notice via text to say that my appointment is canceled without any explanation. When I phoned up, they just said the dentist is not in today. I then asked why am I only just being told this now, and not earlier on in the day and I was completely ignored. I thought the line went dead so I repeated myself and the woman said "yes I can hear you". I again, repeated my question and she ignored me for a second time.I asked her to stop ignoring me me and answer my question and she just said " I don't know what to say". I sent a complaint via email which was ignored. I have not received any follow up call with an apology of any kind.Terrible customer service and completely unorganized. They do not care about their clients.

Fantastic experience: Very nervous dentist-goer with autism, adhd and ocd.. guy on the phone was incredibly kind and actually put me straight onto NHS treatment without a waiting list. Even took the time to look for parking around the area for easier access for me. In the surgery, they handled my emergency appointment great, nurse and great at distracting me and both were so so encouraging, patient and lovely when I had a few tears after being overwhelmed. Negative experience: Edit: After a bit of time with a new dentist pratice, I can safetly say something is gravely wrong at Damira, not all NHS dentists are like this and I feel the need to warn people that suffer from dental phobias and neurodivergence: go anywhere else. Original: After an unresolved complaint I've luckily found another NHS dentist to transfer to. These may be good for private, a lot of 5 star reviews, but I don't think they like it when you're NHS to be honest. Have been left to sit in pain for weeks, whilst waiting for referrals which were never sent, twice.

Fantastic experience: Attended a new patient exam at Damira. The receptionist Abby was smiling and welcoming on my arrival. As a nervous patient this automatically put me more at ease. The Dentist Jason and a very friendly nurse also made me feel at ease throughout the appointment with their calm and approachable manner. Jason was so kind in how he spoke to me and very gentle throughout the exam, I did not feel judged or be made to feel ashamed as I have experienced in the past in other dental practices. I feel assured that under the care of Damira I will receive excellent dental treatment. Positive experience: Once we found our way to the entrance of the practice (no mean feat) we found all the staff very helpful and polite. Our dentist Raabia explained everything really well so I can let our non-English speaking young lady know what’s going on. Our practitioners and the environment were top class. I would like to suggest that you add some extra signage on the exterior of the block plus some more signage when you’re inside to steer you to Reception. I would never have guessed that y oh have to almost enter the cricket ground to find the front door! Perhaps you could add entry details to your text and email confirmations too?

Negative experience: It’s the corporate structure I don’t like as well as the service I received that was focused on upselling. The checkup and clean I received was below par as well. How do I know? Well I have been really happy with my usual dentist over the years and went to them as a recommendation after my original dentist really messed up. I decided to use damira as they were much more local and offered NHS treatment. In the end… the prices were not any cheaper and the service was less than I had been used to. Then… the after visit marketing started… I asked them to stop and I was told they had taken me off the list…. I still I was targeted. So while there are some good reviews here, I’m not impressed or happy. I shall not be back, I’d rather be a valued client, not a source of profit.

Negative experience: yet another parasitic pratice of unqualified quacks which have cropped up all over the UK to take advantage of the in the face of the dental crisis an disappearance of NHS dentistry which has been causing pain and financial heartache to millions in the UK. all these people do is tempt you in with giving NHS details etc, and promises of full treatment (eg basics for £80) when all they can an want to do is charge £75 for a "deep clean" every three months which you can do yourself at home for £10 whilst is a normal part of dentistry under qualified care. i am putting an end to this.

Fantastic experience: I am an NHS patient and have been seen by Dr Amirali and Dental Nurse Anna for both routine check-ups and treatment. Both Dr Amirali and Anna are incredibly warm and great at easing anxiety. Dr Amirali explains everything in a way that’s easy to understand and checked in with me repeatedly during my treatment to ensure I was comfortable and pain-free.
