I nearly always see 'my' dentist, Peter, very rare to have to see someone different. But on those odd occasions they have all been great and offer really helpful tips. The hygienist Gill is the best I've ever been to as well.

Fantastic experience: I've always gone to a NHS dentist, I wanted something different so I goggled what the best dentist was that could facilitate this and Prospect street dentist came up. I went alone the dentist was so kind and drew up a treatment plan for me which I could of declined. I went along with it and the quality of work done was world's away from my previous NHS dentist. It hurt me paying so much but you truly get what you pay for, I'm over the moon. My teeth feel like silk and are on there way to being a lovely colour instead of 3 different shades on one tooth. It's quite shocking the lack of care that was taken before. I'm truly grateful and will be continuing with Prospect street with my teeth journey. Thank you so much. Fantastic experience: Peter Lindholm was thorough and explained the x-rays taken compared with the last ones taken 3 years ago which was very reassuring. Gill Hendey did a very thorough check and clean of my teeth identifying the shortcomings of my cleaning regime and explaining how to do the best job possible. I left feeling pleased my teeth were in good condition with them feeling super clean and smooth.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff as soon as you walk through the door. My family have used this practice for 33 years. Always good advice from the dentist and hygienist. My children have attended from the age of 2. Never frightened of the dentist but we did say that we would tell dentist and hygienists if they didn’t clean their teeth and that was enough as they didn’t want to disappoint any one. We have had emergency work and the dentists have all been good. The children have never wanted to go to any other practice and even came home from uni to see the family dentist. Sadly not an NHS dentist . Next week we will be taking our 2 year old grandson for his first appointment. Continuing with family tradition.

Buckley retired, but since then I have switched to Dr D. Buckley and have been equally impressed. They treat patients with great care and understanding and have always had my best interests in mind. I've also had very good experiences with hygienist appointments. It's worth knowing that the practice doesn't take adult NHS patients (as far as I understand), but they provide top quality care that I'm happy to pay for. The clinic and waiting areas are pleasant and clean and the place has a general feeling of being highly organised. I would strongly recommend them to anyone.

Would highly recommend this professional, who has years of experience and will take the time to explain and ensure that the care given is of the highest quality.

Fantastic experience: This practice is absolutely fantastic. I've been with them for two years now and recently had an emergency with one of my teeth. I had been in agony the past 36 hours and after a sleepless night, phoned the practice when it opened at 8. They offered me an emergency appointment at 9:30. Jill saw me and took care of the pain which was great. But the reason for the 5 stars is what followed after. I am a private patient and I guess that means more lucrative. Despite that, I had an honest explanation of my situation. I had the choice of doing a root-canal through my onlay - which I was advised would likely break and need to be replaced. I was also told that with a previous root canal failing on the identical tooth on the other side, it wasn't a good indicator. As the tooth was also cracked, that may reduce the chance of the root canal staying stable further. Long story short, instead of doing extensive treatment on the tooth with a possible fail rate of nearly £2,000, she said I should consider extraction. No implant was pitched, instead it was made clear it comes down to personal preference and that I would have a long time to decide whether this was something I really wanted to do. It was very clear, I was being advised as a patient, and I was not a money making opportunity to them. This is in stark contrast to my previous private dentist (which was one of the reasons why I switched). After my extraction with a dental surgeon on the same day at 11, I had complications as my clot wouldn't form. So I went back to the practice and they took great care of me, keeping me in for the afternoon and past closing hours to ensure it was safe for me to go home. At no point did I feel rushed or a burden to the staff. Every single one of them was kind and caring, including receptionists, assistants and Jill. Jill educated my husband in how to take care of me and what to look out for as she was 'fixing' me. I felt very vulnerable at the time and I will forever be grateful for the kind and humane treatment I received every step of the way by Jill and the team.

Fantastic experience: I attended Prospect Street Dental Surgery today to have a crown fitted having broken a back tooth. The dentist who did the work was Dr Darragh Buckley. I gave been going to Prospect Street Surgery since 1991 and the quality of their dental care is excellent. Dr Buckley has been my dentist for a number of years and I think he is outstanding..

Fantastic experience: Great dentists and great surgery everyone in there is lovely and helpful I've got my whole family signed on now I had a dental plan with them 3 years ago and I didn't do anything about it due to being scared of dentists last week had major tooth pain from no where, I called them and they got me in the same day and then went out of their way to get me an appointment a week later for an extraction even though there weren't any spaces available until next month they are very caring and try their best to help you I couldn't say a negative thing about them would highly recommend them to anyone keep up the great work guys I would imagine any of the bad comments are from people who continously mess them around and cancel appointments minutes before

Fantastic experience: Dr Darragh Buckley and the reception team looked after me really well. I managed to get an emergency appointment at extremely short notice and the reception team were able to shuffle an existing appointment (thanks to the other patient accepting to do this) to make sure I met my dentist and on the same day! Dr Darragh Buckley shows great empathy and patience with patients that struggle with anxiety and physical issues that can complicate treatment. He helped me to relax and be more comfortable throughtout treatment. A very kind man. Much appreciated. Thanks also to his assistant.

Negative experience: Very bad experience with this practice. I booked an appointment online for me, I went there with my two month old son who was sleeping in a carry cot. I arrived there and they expected me to take a very tiny staircase to go to the appointment with the carry cot - absolutely impossible. It was not mentioned anywhere when booking the appointment that the practice was inaccessible. If you have a pram, wheelchair, or if you have difficulty walking - it's just impossible to make it. They did not try to help at all on the day, or find a solution for me to be seen in their other office. As a result I had to decide to rebook an appointment five weeks later. I flew my mum over from abroad for £500 that specific week so that she could take care of my son when I go to my appointment. I went their, I checked in and they made me wait for my turn. After 30min waiting, I went to ask how much longer it would take. They told me they forgot about me and refused to see me. I check I. With the receptionist l, sat in front of her the whole time and that this same person who forgot me. Once again they did not even try to help me see a doctor. They just told me sorry that it was their fault but they did not offer me to see a doctor, they told me to go home. So unprofessional.

Positive experience: Have been a patient at this dental practice for many years. Visited last week and was seen by Dentist Marina and Hygienist Jill. Both were excellent. I was seen by Marina at the new premises on a very warm day. Unfortunately these premises do not have any air conditioning and the Surgery was extremely hot which caused me to feel very unwell and dizzy. Will make sure any future appointments are at the old premises 19 Prospect Street.

Fantastic experience: If this was the treatment that everyone gets at a dental surgery for most patients the fear of dentistry would if not disappear, then at least greatly diminish. I find that the team in prospect street are fantastic and if I had to describe them in three words I would say Caring, friendly and professional. The reception team are fantastic, and Stef my dental hygienist is without a doubt amazing, she was kind and caring, she did a fantastic job of not only cleaning my teeth and gums but was reassuring and explained everything all the way through. For the first time ever I have no fear of returning. I also had the pleasure of dealing with Jill on my initial visit and unlike the dentist in a surgery in Islington who just wanted to pull out my teeth Jill came up with a palliative plan which is in my opinion much better. To me Prospect Street dental practice treat you as a human rather than as a invoice number. Cannot recommend highly enough.

My son, who was very anxious about his first dental visit, was immediately put at ease by Dr. Abbaszadeh's compassionate and patient approach. The lady who assisted me over the phone was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Upon visiting the clinic, I was promptly seen by the Dr. Peter, who made me feel at ease. He conducted a thorough examination and took the time to explain everything in simple terms, which I truly appreciated. Fantastic experience: I’ve had severe problems with my gums for many years which was made worse by having to have some strong medication. I have now been to see Stefanie Binnee the dental therapist several times and the difference she has made is remarkable. She explained why I was having problems and has corrected them and she does it in a very friendly and gentle manner; great if you’re a bit nervous. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been dreading for years the time that I would need to replace some veneers that I had done many years ago which had not been a pleasant experience. After many years of coaching me about the inevitable event I finally took the plunge and as promised. Dr Eileen Buckley did as said she would and held my hand - literally! Negative experience: I used the practice for Botox and I'm not impressed. One and after month later and the product has worn off between the eyebrows despite the high cost. Very, very disappointed

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Prospect Street Dental Practice for just over 2 years. I really wish I’d found this place a bit earlier in my life as they’re honestly the best dental practice you could hope to find. I have a huge phobia of dental appointments and am usually very anxious, but all the staff have always been very understanding whenever I’ve needed reassurance or help of any kind. They truly are a very caring group of people, including the reception team and dental nurses. Dr Eileen Buckley is always so kind and accommodating, very willing to do what I ask if it will make the experience easier for me. Dr Eileen is always happy to answer any questions I have and will share her thought process when discussing treatment options so I’ve got all the information I need to make a decision. She’s also extremely thorough and very very skilled. I know I’m in the best hands with Dr Eileen. She will never say you need treatment when you don’t - I trust her 100% to do right by me. If something doesn’t need treating (yet/at all) then she will be honest and tell you that. I also see Stef the hygienist and she is the most gentle hygienist I’ve ever known. It really doesn’t hurt at all. Stef has given me some great tips to improve my oral hygiene routine which now means I can go 9 months between appointments instead of 6. Woohoo! Fantastic experience: I would thoroughly recommend Prospect Street Dentist. I've used them for many years following a recommendation from a friend. I now use them for both myself and my children, and both Jill Hendey and Mrs Eileen Buckley are a lovely. I'm a very nervous patient but they are kind, reassuring, personable and funny. I appreciate the advice Mrs Buckley has given over the years to me and my children in looking after their teeth.

Fantastic experience: Peter Lindholm is our family dentist and I travel all the way to Caversham especially for him. I wanted my children to have a good experience of visiting the dentist and I'm a nervous patient so he is perfect for me too. He is professional but friendly and puts you completely at ease. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr Eileen Buckley for 10+ years, I am now 25 and rather fussy about how my teeth look. I was unfortunately blessed with a missing front tooth, which Eileen has bridged twice since being a patient. I wanted to whiten and have my composite bonding redone which meant having a new bridge. Eileen guided me through the whole process so that I could achieve the desired end results and even moved her work hours to fit with my lengthy appointment! I am very grateful for my finished smile!
