Positive experience: Used to be quite good but the core team seems to have left over the years. The person at the reception is consistently chilly, inattentive and dismissive, and the level of upselling, frankly, crazy.

The receptionist welcomed me with such kindness, patience and understanding . She handled my inquiry with such great empathy and reassurance . The dentist made time to listen and to understand my dental problems. His response , and explanations was non-judgemental and compassionate. I was fully involved in the assessments and planning of care and given a treatment option for my dental problem. I have had my dental issues for many years without support from other dentist and had lost hope. I feel so blessed to have found the Maida Smiles. really wish I was able to have this level of dental treatment years ago. Every single doctor in their team is a true professional. ⠀ Since childhood, I struggled with large gaps between my teeth and misalignment, which made me extremely self-conscious about my smile. ⠀ Dr. Claudia, my primary dentist, guided me through my Invisalign journey with care and expertise. Fantastic experience: The orthodontists at Maida Smiles Dental Clinic are very skilled and caring. My daughter, age 14, has been under their care for the past year and a half. Dr Shankar Bala thoughtfully detailed my daughter's orthodontic timeline, and her treatment went just as planned. Dr Bala was very helpful throughout the treatment and resolved bracket and wire issues that came up between scheduled appointments (my daughter couldn't stay away from eating popcorn at times which resulted in brackets popping off). My only complaint would be that appointments rarely began on time, but we were always one of the last appointments of the day, so that makes sense. I researched many doctors before choosing Maida Smiles. I liked the doctors there the most, and the fees were the most economical. I would highly recommend Dr Bala and Maida Smiles Dental.

Fantastic experience: At this place no need to worry about if all medical aspects of healthcare facility operations comply with the standards, you can tell right away. You don’t have to have a second opinion either. Dr Benedict handles every case professionally and personally at the same time and explains everything in details to ensure there is no uncertainty or worry. He does perfect work on crowns in individual way Dr Shankar does incredible job working with teen which sometimes requires to be sort of psychologist and this is just priceless Hygienist Hala is so attentive to any concerns and friendly that this is a pleasure to meet her every six months The whole team of administrators is so cooperative trying to make you feel comfortable. You can always call them, even with such a level of English, ask them for help and they do their best to solve the problem. Last but not least notice all remainder calls, messages and letters about upcoming appointments are very useful!

Fantastic experience: I don’t know where to start with Maida Smiles…they have been absolutely wonderful. I ended up there due to an emergency broken tooth and was seen by Dr Claudia Lorenzo. She fixed the tooth with a “temporary filling” and it is still there three years later! She also has helped my overall gum health by reducing the overcrowding of my teeth due to really bad alignment with Invisalign and she has improved my teeth more than I can ever thank her for! I was so impressed that I moved my mum and my husband to the practice too so that we can all be under her care. I genuinely don’t think that I have ever met a more talented and genuine dentist. She is so gentle and makes fillings totally bearable and she really cares. Also she is very thorough and will ensure that she investigates everything fully but equally she won’t just suggest things unnecessarily for the sake of it. I actually enjoy going to the dentist now! She is the best dentist! Honestly I cannot recommend her or the practice enough. If you need a new dentist then look no further because you won’t regret it! Also the reception staff are so friendly and welcoming and it really has a family feel to it. Fantastic experience: I went to the Maida Smiles Clinic for the first time and had the most wonderful experience! I am dentist phobic but strangely left the place with a big smile on my face (literally!). The receptionist was super kind, Susan was impeccable and very helpful, and I had my appointment with the most amazing dentist Dr Mafalda Vilhena. Couldn’t recommend her enough. She explains the whole procedure and is very rigorous in her work. Congratulations to Dr Pedro Gutierres for creating such an excellent working environment and to all the team. I will be back and bringing my family along and we don’t even live in Maida Vale. Thank you for such an impeccable job on my teeth and for taking my fear of dentists away. Note: they don’t cover NHS, only private bookings or with insurance.

Negative experience: Sadly, I had a bad experience here. One of the hygienist / dentists chipped my tooth, and aggressively blamed it on me, when I suggested that I thought she had, saying it was already chipped. Thankfully they’d taken X-rays before they did anything as I was new there, so I was able to clearly prove that they had done it. It took three trips for them to admit this, before rectifying it by ‘smoothing it out’, informing me that a full repair would be around £300. The gaslighting by the first dentist was shocking to be honest. Thankfully Nick, one of the dentists, who was the third person I saw, was straight up and decent about it. Shame the others weren’t.

Fantastic experience: I am delighted with the results of my replacement veneers. Dr Benedict Harrison was very good at talking me through the whole process and keeping me informed during the treatment if there were any issues - which there weren’t. He has a charming demeanour which is an added advantage in a dentist, who I think we all agree are not our favourite people, overall a 5 star experience.

The dentist, Benedict Harrison was very reassuring and immediately put me at ease. Fantastic experience: I've had two wisdom teeth removed recently by Dr. Pedro and I cannot believe it was done pain free. I didn't experience any pain during or after the procedure. I cannot recommend him enough. He suggested to do aprf after the removal and I think that was the best thing I could have done. It worked amazingly. The appointment was stress and pain free. This is now my go to place for my teeth and I am going to be recommending him and the whole Maida Smiles Team to everyone. Thank you very much!

Fantastic experience: I am an extremely anxious patient, and have had horror experiences in the past so didn't want to go to see a dentist anymore and as a result, need to get a lot of work done. Everyone has been super friendly from the very sweet receptionist who comforted me when I was crying (I think her name is Esti) , to hygienist Hala who called me after hours to check that I was okay, to my dentist Claudia who is always super bubbly and friendly. They take their time to make you feel at ease which is important. I highly recommend them for nervous patients.

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom teeth removed at this dental practice, and despite my nervousness and having heard horror stories about the procedure from friends and family, the experience was totally seamless. My dentist, Pedro, was calm and reassuring and when I was sedated, the removal was super smooth, and has healed without any issues. Would highly recommend.

Positive experience: It has experienced dentists. I fixed few things here in the past and quality is best. But the patient service is bad. Noticed few times they’re charging for nothing, like today. Had an “emergency appointment” at 10:45 and waited for 40 minutes anyway. Even though it was emergency appointment I think it’s inappropriate. Dentist looked at the teeth and said he won’t take responsibility and can’t do anything, which I understand and respect. But still on the exit I got charged 99gbp(for 2 mins doctor looking at my teeth in between appointments after 40 minutes wait?). It's not about time only, please consider value you're providing and show care for your loyal patients.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t have asked for a better dentist experience! Since the first phone call for an emergency appointment, until my recovery following the wisdom tooth removal, the service has been fantastic. All the reception staff were polite and understanding. Dr Pedro did an absolutely amazing job. He was very calming, professional and reassured me throughout the whole procedure. The whole extraction lasted for less than 20 minutes and following procedure I had zero complications and very little pain or swelling. Fantastic experience: I visited the hygienist at Maida Smiles for the first time today, mainly because I liked the cool white tiles but it’s also at the end of my road. I wasn’t expecting to find a first rate service almost literally on my doorstep. Cintia is a clearly an expert and also a total joy. It’s hard to say you love a treatment which messes up your lipstick, but it comes close. I am delighted with her work and will be recommending her wholeheartedly.

Having no prior experience with a dental clinic in London, I was initially worried, but I'm so glad I chose Andreia. After my appointment, my teeth were very clean, and I experienced no pain during the process. Andreia is incredibly caring and explains the process before starting. I had been searching for 2 months for a new clinic and when I initially inquired, Este was amazing. She was very understanding of the numerous questions I had, my specific requirements, and went over and above what was required in her role. On arrival, the warm welcome from Esti and her colleague Rania and listening to how they spoke with other patients confirmed we had made the right decision. Negative experience: asked specifically for lingual braces and / or veneers and was told I need to have an appointment with the dentist to discuss. This appointment cost me £140 for 15 mins to be told Maida Smiles don't do Lingual braces. Daylight robbery

Fantastic experience: Fantastic dentist. I drove two and half hours to come here on a Saturday as an implant had come loose just before I was due to leave on a business trip. They fitted me in even though I called quite late in the day and fixed the problem promptly and at far lower cost than I had paid for similar services locally. Very good facilities and friendly, efficient dentists. I would use regularly if I lived closer!

Fantastic experience: I started going to Maida Smiles over a year after always dealing with a lot of anxiety in regards to seeing the dentist. The team could not have been more reassuring and warm. I also had one of my wisdom teeth taken out and I didn't even feel like they pulled on it! One moment I sat in the chair, and the next moment he was holding my tooth and no pain afterwards! They are so good at what they do and I couldn't be more happy with them.

I was a bit terrified of my tooth extraction, but Dr. Pedro knew exactly how to reassure me, he was so understanding, always took the time to walk me through what needs to be done, and always so aware of my reactions. Positive experience: Update: Re) to the response of Maida smile To me whether the priority was set right is debatable, because I had some treatments which were replacing old fillings of the teeth that the doctor had told me there were no issues but just for prevention, I also told him my previous dentist(not covered my insurance so I didn’t continue with them) had suggested me to treat the cracked tooth, so I don’t see why a cracked tooth with obvious pain should get lower priority. Other doctors later told me I would have needed that treatment anyway according to early X-ray , and there’s small chance for sensitivity and canal treatment needed after a filling, and I trust their judgement. My main intention was not to blame the issues of my tooth to the doctor, they exist and need to be treated anyway, my main feedback was about the poor communication of the first doctor which is equally important as the treatment. And I believe I would have had less discomfort and surprises if given thorough information. However I’d still like to recognise all the staff, doctors, treatments. Everything else was excellent, and I did get many teeth fixed with great hands, the other doctors provided me with thorough examination and information, helped me relax and made it comfortable for me during the treatment, and provided me with clear care instructions afterwards. When I had the tooth emergency, they also quickly helped me arrange a consultation and got my tooth fixed within 2 days, doctor Johnny specially came to the clinic only to treat my tooth at the day when he should be off, so I’m very grateful of that. They also responded really respectfully with my feedback described below. I’ll stop replying to this now as I’m a bit tired from taking about this. But in summary although I had some hiccup, I think it’s a rare case and I would still recommend the clinic. And please don’t worry about meeting the first doctor I mentioned, because he doesn’t work there anymore. —————————- Original: This year I had several appointments with 4 different doctors in Maida Smile, they are all execellent except for my first dentist. He neglected and didn't provide any information about risks, prevention, future treatments when I shared with him severl times that I have pains in a tooth with dental fracture, which leads to severe pain one day and an emergency visit later this year. If the communication is well, this unnecessary discomfort could have been prevented with an early treatment, and the tooth could be protected with dental crowns and night guard sooner and not get worse. And he also didn't provide me with post treatment care instructions after my first filling, I had to learn them by myself after biting my cheeks and bleeding, and experienced pain by using the tooth too soon. I have sent them an email to explain the situation and the frustration, they took it seriously and called me to discuss how to move forward to provide me with good experiences, and they agreed to refund me the consultation fee with the first doctor as I think there's a big miss in the consultation. All the other doctor are brilliant. Apart from professional treatment, they are great at communications to raise risks early, share clear expectations and instructions after a treatment, give thorough information and suggestions. I wanted to give a 5 star but the first doctor did fail my expectation, which indicated a laspe in his accessment and communication. I am also aware my appointment with the first doctor was his first day in the clinic, so I wonder if it contributed to the gap between his communication and other doctors, and this could be an improvement opportunity for the clinic to onboard their new doctors. Overall the staffs, doctors, treatments are very good, except for my experience with the first doctor. So if you feel skeptical about something at the beginning, please don't hesitate to get a second opinion from a different doctor.

Dr ines is the best dentist in london she really is a professional at what she does and I don’t think many people would have straight teeth because of her. She is every ones hero

Fantastic experience: This is an excellent dental practice. Everyone is super nice, helpful and competent. Dentists and hygenists ensure you are comfortable during procedures, don't rush you and share information openly. The support staff is also very nice whether it's via email/ telephone or in person.

Fantastic experience: I'd never had an invasive dental procedure and was really quite anxious about having a surgical extraction on a broken lower wisdom tooth. Dr Pedro and the Andreia were both amazing and very encouraging, taking the time to listen to my concerns and fears. Andreia also provided a fantastic hygiene appointment beforehand, I don't think I've had a better scale and polish. The actual procedure was completely fine, and the whole process has really reduced my fear of the dentist and dental work in general. I can't recommend Maida Smiles enough, particularly if you are worried or anxious.

Fantastic experience: Very good service, with prepared and helpful staff! I had my wisdom tooth removed by Pedro and he was very good and the removal went super well. I also did a hygienist session with Hula that did a great job and were very kind, making sure to explain every treatment with details and patience.
