Fantastic experience: Geeta is fantastic. I recommend her to everyone. If you are looking for a holistic competent capable and empathic dentists then she is completely the dentist for you.

Fantastic experience: Doctor Shihab is the best dentist ever. I am so glad I found him, as I have chronic teeth problems since my childhood, and he fixes everything with kindness and acute professionalism. Hygienists are fantastic too: Maria and Opal, which I see regularly. And finally, very friendly reception staff too, it makes you want to go to the dentist!

Negative experience: NOT recommended for UCL students I'm a UCL student and am going to describe the facts and then give my opinion. * 27 May – I called to book an appointment for a toothache * 29 May – The dentist took an X-ray and said two teeth were badly damaged and would need crowns. I was offered NHS Band 3 treatment but was also given a private treatment plan of ~£2,200, including a “deep cleaning.” I declined the private plan and asked to continue under NHS. * 11 June – A second X-ray (periapical) was finally taken. The dentist then said the damage was too extensive to treat on NHS, and only extraction or a private specialist referral was possible. A refund was processed for the Band 2 charge. After insisting several times, they agreed to book an NHS cleaning. * 19 June – In severe pain, I had to call NHS for urgent care. They referred me to another practice the next day. That dentist immediately started a root canal on one tooth and placed a filling on the other. Treatment was completed in 3 weeks under NHS Band 2 (£75.30) and has been successful so far. * 24 July – I attended the NHS cleaning appointment at this practice (after waiting 1.5 months). It lasted less than 10 minutes, with only a scaler and floss, no blue liquid or thorough cleaning. My concerns: * They declined to provide any stabilisation (temporary filling/dressing) or urgent pain relief (nerve removal), offering only antibiotics (Amoxicillin). * Private cleaning (£90) was offered immediately, while NHS cleaning included in the Band fee was delayed by six weeks. * A second X-ray could easily have been done at the first appointment, potentially saving me two weeks of unnecessary pain. * The refusal to provide NHS treatment was contradicted by another NHS practice, which successfully treated both teeth * Both times I visited, staff implied NHS appointments were “only for UCL students” (like what are u trying to say...) Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dental practice to fellow UCL students. Their focus appeared to be on promoting expensive (£££) private treatments rather than relieving ur pain

Fantastic experience: As someone who had a lifelong fear of going to the dentist, I had an amazing experience here. Dr Geeta Khurana-Sundaram is sincerely the best dentist I have had to date. From day one she made me feel so settled, heard, and cared for. She ensured decisions made were with me and took into account my wider circumstances when weighing up options. Moreso, my hygienist Jemma Oliver was so lovely. Because of my fear of the dentist, I've avoided the hygienist, but gave it a go with Jemma and she was amazing. I now ensure I see the hygienist every time I go for a checkup, and my teeth are better for it. More broadly, the reception staff have always been the epitome of "service with a smile", and even wished me a happy birthday when I attended near that date! If I wasn't moving out of London I'd 100% stay with The Dental Centre for life, and could not recommend it highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency yesterday when my retainer wire came loose, so I was really thankful to get an appointment today. Dr. Rahoul Makwana was friendly, professional, and took the time to clearly explain all my options. He also gave helpful advice on how to care for my teeth with the new wire in place. Both he and his assistant were efficient, reassuring, and made me feel well looked after. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for quality dental care.

Fantastic experience: I've had a great experience at The Dental Centre with Drs. Shihab Hussein and Jill McLoughlin. Dr. Hussein is attentive, listens carefully, and conducts thorough checkups. I appreciate his thoughtful and practical approach to dental care. Dr. McLoughlin made my wisdom tooth extraction surprisingly easy. Quick, painless, and done in under a minute. No painkillers were needed afterward, which says a lot. She’s knowledgeable, calm, and made the whole process much more comfortable than I expected. Both are excellent at what they do and genuinely nice people. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: Very professional, prices are competitive, Ed and Liliana the receptionists are great explaining everything clearly, as is Dr Geeta, Dr.Jill and Lily who spent time calming me down when I was really scared about my wisdom tooth extraction. In the end it only took 15 mins and I left a lot calmer than when I came. Only downside is wait time which is somewhat inevitable!

Fantastic experience: Walked in looking like Worzel Gummidge, walked out with teeth like Ryan Gosling. Under the care of Dr Rahul I’ve received nothing but exemplary treatment over the last few years including a frankly late-life Invisalign course which has been a genuine confidence boost.

Fantastic experience: Had a wisdom tooth removed by Dr Jill McLoughlin. Built it up in my head (pun intended) as a big nightmarish thing but in reality it was painless and over in a minute. Couldn't believe how simple it was and the whole service was very reassuring and professional. If I need any more teeth pulling I'll be back!

Fantastic experience: Naturally, I was not looking forward to the extraction of a wisdom tooth in the highest of spirits but Doctor Jill made the occasion an underwhelming and pain-free event for which I am very grateful. Fantastic experience: Brilliant experience from start to finish. I'd been having tooth pain for a couple of weeks and managed to book an appointment the next day after finding them. Reception team was really friendly and welcoming, and Dr Hussein who I saw first of explained everything brilliantly and made sense of what was going on. I was given the choice of a root canal or having my tooth removed, and was advised on costs and pros/cons to both. I chose to have a tooth removal and was booked in with Dr Jill the following day. I'd never had a tooth removed and so was a little nervous but both Dr Jill and her assist put me at ease and I felt relaxed instantly. I was amazed at how quick and painless it all was, I honestly didn't feel a thing and was surprised how quick it took. Definitely recommend The Dental Centre and can't thank them enough for their professionalism and care.

Fantastic experience: Awesome experience to be treated at the Dental Centre! The team is very professional and caring, from the receptionists to hygienist to the manager. The facilities are modern and neat and the operations are very well organised. I had my dental hygiene with Dovile, who gave me the best treatment I ever received: gentle, accurate, and thorough. Plus, she gave me good tips to improve my oral health I've been overlooking in the past couple of years. I'll definitey return to the Dental Centre, now my only reference dental practice!

Negative experience: Disgusting and Ill mannered staff at reception. Management displayed vile attitude. They’re only interested in how money to get out you.

Negative experience: It says on the NHS "Find a Dentist" website that they The Dental Centre London is: "Accepting adults 18 and over/Accepting adults entitled to free dental care". When you call the Dental Centre London's telephone number, the recorded message says "If you are a new patient, press 1" In fact, The Dental Centre London is only accepting new patients studying/working at UCL - it doesn't say this on their website either. It would be better to update the information on the NHS website, the company website and the recorded message so that time is not wasted!

Fantastic experience: Dr Shihab Hussein at The Dental Centre is amazing, he explained every procedure before he progressed so there were no surprises. He has a very light touch, so nothing felt too unpleasant. I have recommended him to all my friends and family and have no hesitation recommending him here.

Negative experience: The care of the actual dentists at the Dental Centre is excellent and I honestly cannot fault it. However, the treatment of the reception staff is why I would strongly advise finding an alternative dentist in London, and would go out of my way to not be seen here anymore. Having, on more than one occassion, been told that the dentist is running late and been pushed back by over 20 minutes, I have now been fined for turning up 10 minutes late to my appointment, despite being willing to reschedule. The receptionist that seems to have been there a while is clearly driven by completing transactions and has little to no interest into individual needs or circumstances, pressuring me into paying in advance and paying fines, whilst being hugely manipulative. I find it really insulting that having paid a fair amount of money over the years, I am still hounded for more every time and not being treated with any kindness or respect. I would suggest looking elsewhere for a dentist.

All staff are a pleasure to see and really do inspire confidence – from the receptionists (Kamila), hygienist (Evie), to the dental surgeon (Dr McLoughlin), Dr Hussein and their assistant (sorry I forget your name!) – they are so kind and patient – truly outstanding!

Fantastic experience: The staff is welcoming, patient, understanding regarding appointments, and promptly available for any inquiry. I have been with Dr Hussein for almost a year now, and I consider myself lucky for finally met him. He takes the time to explain everything, answer any questions you have, and finally, time flies by on that chair when you are on that chair. In addition, I had the chance to work with the hygienist Opal. I will not be switching to another any time this century. She is fantastic and cares for your teeth more than I ever did.

Positive experience: I had severe anxiety before having my wisdom tooth removed. The dentist was very patient, and the procedure went smoothly. Given that this was completed at 11 p.m.I was extremely impressed, and the price was excellent as well.

Fantastic experience: I have been to many different dentists and this one has been by far the best I have been going to. I have been seeing Rahul Makwana and it was always a pleasure. He explains everything very well, is very calm and super nice. He never proposes a treatment if not necessary and he performs his treatments exceptionally well with a lot of accuracy and care for detail. I have been with this clinic for more than 3 years and never had any issues. Can only recommend.

Fantastic experience: Previously I never looked forward to visiting dentists, they held the imagy of pain, the care part never entered the picture. I checked around, the Dental Centre stood out from the rest, it was over a 2 hour trip from Chi, where I live. I've attended 3 times, every occasion I've been treated as a person, kindly, all was explained; no nasty surprises, even the cocts were discussed prior to treatments. OMG, empathy, care and professionalism drips off the walls as soon as one enters. Weirdly, I now look forward to having treatment at this Dental Centre. It's top notch, caring and friendly.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Dr Hussein and dental nurse Lili for their exemplary care and patience over the last 2 years. I am a nervous patient, with a small mouth and a strong gag reflex, but they have worked out the appropriate techniques to overcome these issues, resulting in a more positive, relaxing dental experience I would highly recommend them.

Negative experience: Dentist was nice and receptionist Zel was amazing with helping explain treatment. I’ve seen a lot of different receptionist come in and out which is a shame. Must be something with with management. I think the place needs a new manager. He is very loud and pushy when it comes to booking appointments, speaks over you and makes you feel small.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to the Dental Centre for a few years now & seeing Dr Makwana for over 6. I originally started seeing Rahul after needing some work done, post university. A friend recommended him after I had negative experience with a dentist elsewhere. The service he has provided has been great. At each step he has taken the time to walk me through what he is looking for and what he is going to do next. This has helped removed some of the mystery as to why certain things need doing and made me feel a lot more comfortable. The work that he has done has stood the test of time - going on over 5 years at this point. I have recently moved further away from Euston but still make the hour trip to see him for check ups.

Fantastic experience: I have just completed my invisalign journey with Dr. Makwana. I am very pleased with the result, Dr. Makwana has been very attentive and patient with answering all my questions and doubts. He made sure everything is discussed and have my understanding and consent before moving forward to the next stage. The whole process has been quite straight forward and hassle free. Fantastic experience: I have received treatments from Dr Hussein and wisdom teeth extraction from Dr McLoughlin. It is a really good experience without pain or anxiety. all the stuff are professional and friendly. And all the treatment plans were informed ahead for discussing, and the doctors are always willing to answer any questions about the plans.

Fantastic experience: Saw Dr Makwana who I cannot fault- was very kind, patient and gentle to a very nervous patient! I normally hate the dentist but for once feel comfortable. Reception staff responsive and helpful, and able to get an emergency appointment easily on the same day, and even a regular appointment for the next day.

The care given here is thorough, professional and carried out with nothing short of excellence. I only have the highest praise for Dr Jill the oral surgeon and Dr Makwana the dentist at this dental centre. Dr Jill’s procedure is always painless, communicative and left with a sense of relief that you were cared for by her after the procedure. She also has excellent aftercare and has offered her contact details for follow-up if needed without fail. Dr Makwana is always cordial and on every occasion, he has offered various options for my dental care looking at the longevity of my oral health in the years to come. His approach to his patients is very reassuring and always carried out with genuine care. I would most definitely recommend this dental centre.

Fantastic experience: I recently had my enlighten whitening treatment carried out by Dr Makwana. He was absolutely super at answering any of my questions and making sure I was completely happy with the results. I felt very comfortable when visiting him in the chair during the entire course of treatment (especially given this was my first time doing whitening) and found him to be very professional and skilled. I also found the receptionist team to be very responsive, polite and warm throughout - they made bookings very easy. Overall, I am chuffed with the results, many thanks Dr Makwana!

The receptionists are the sweetest and kindest people on earth, along with the assistants and hygienists. Dr Hussein is always ready to discuss available treatments in great detail and find the right procedures for me, always going the extra mile to make sure I understand and I’m happy with their work - which I absolutely am, and I have a great smile to prove that!

Negative experience: It is really a horrible attitude towards UCL student NHS patients. They are trying to use every way to decline any NHS treatment.

Fantastic experience: I have had a few checkups now the Dr Makwana and he has been friendly, professional, and helpful every time. I have also found the reception staff to be very polite and professional both in person and over the phone. Most importantly, I had a pesky wisdom tooth taken out by Dr Jill McLoughlin and I cannot speak highly enough of her. I had a previous bad experience elsewhere and but Dr Jill was so kind, caring, and reassuring that I felt completely at ease. During the extraction I felt absolutely nothing - I was expecting some discomfort at the very least but no! No pain, no discomfort, not even mild pressure. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Jill and her assistant - their skill, their kindness, and their encouragement are second to none.
