Positive experience: Actual dental care is good but high staff turnover means you don’t get to keep the same dentist very long. NHS appointments are constantly cancelled and I feel that the £55 deposit required for private patients is excessive.

Positive experience: Busy, organised, clean dentistry. I had to have an emergency appointment on the NHS. The friendly receptionists got back to me very quickly so I could see a dentist same day. Excellent, informative dentist and dental nurse. I was given an antibiotic prescription to stop further infection. Unfortunately the dentist had no NHS slots for my extraction for 4 weeks. I feel perhaps the NHS cover is not good enough for a large catchment area.

Fantastic experience: 2023, General check is £69.50 and in 2025 for a private checkup that's £35 per five minutes. This is getting beyond acceptable. For such a size of the village I think it should be cheaper. Haverhill charges less and they are a lot bigger. Last visit.

Fantastic experience: A very pleasurable and expert experience -Takes away all the stigma attached to dentist visits. Receptionists welcome you with a very kind and polite manner. Fantastic experience: Greeted with a smile by the receptionist. Booked in. Waited to be called in to see the dentist, Nice and polite. A few sensitive area but all went well. The dentist was very polite and discussed any issues he found. Had a bit of a chat to discuss future appointments and then back out to reception to book next appointment. All good - will go again LOL

Positive experience: I had some fillings. The dentist and assistant where great. I could only have lower grade fillings, unless I paid for private treatment. I would recommend this dentist.

Positive experience: Reception staff were very kind and helpful, but my dentist kept me waiting while attending to other matters during my appointment time. As a result, the treatment felt rushed, and I experienced soreness in my cheek, gums and troat for days afterward. Unfortunately, this has left me reconsidering whether to stay with this practice. It’s a shame, as my hygienist there was lovely—just like my previous dentist (who, unfortunately, no longer works there) .

We completely understand how distressing dental pain can be, and we truly regret that we couldn’t provide the urgent care you needed at the time. As advised, NHS 111 may be able to assist when immediate appointments are unavailable, and we always recommend contacting them in such situations.

Fantastic experience: Had a check up with therapist Jason who was very thorough and took every care to ensure I was comfortable with the examination. He descaled my teeth and rounded off the sharp end of one tooth. No anaesthetic needed and all completely pain free. Receptionist was very helpful when I rang to say I couldn't update my medication on line and did it for me over the phone. Surgery spotless with new seating

Fantastic experience: I was in a great deal of pain with two of my teeth that had an abcess in the root,(my own fault as I hadn't been to dentist since the covid pandemic) and clockhouse dentistry could see me for an emergency appointment on a Saturday ,I turned up for the appointment but unfortunately it had been cancelled,clockhouse had sent me a text to inform me of this but I had not given them my new number,purely my fault. The lovely receptionist could see i was in a great deal of pain and spent a considerable amount of time ringing round there other practices but unfortunately there where no dental surgeons in that day,I managed get some antibiotics from another dentist and made an appointment with blockhouse to have the teeth removed at a later date when the infection had cleared.Dr Ayad Haider and his team where very kind ,considerate and skillful in removing my 2 teeth,it was all over within a couple of minutes,didn't even know I'd had it done and actually was nearly £300 cheaper than what I had been quoted at the dentist that gave me the antibiotics. TOP WORK I will definitely use clockhouse dentistry for my dental needs again!

Positive experience: have been with this dentist for over 20years when it was next to the co-op. now it has moved the only problem is if you dive there is next to no parking.that is the only downfall.

Fantastic experience: We have been with Clock House Dental for many years and have always seen Victoria, who was very pleasant, but she left the practice. We recently had Jeanne Marie Grusecki, who was charming and immediately put me at ease. Finding the right dentist is a big deal, and we hear horror stories, but it isn't always easy. I was thrilled. It is a shame that she will leave Linton in a few months, but she will stay with the practice in Cambridge. Fabulous rapport and people skills to make you feel at ease. I am also grateful to the rest of the staff; Jeanne Marie’s assistant, who was very kind and helped my mother, went out of her way. Negative experience: I really should have sought legal advice years ago regarding some of the botched treatments I have received at this surgery, left for months with serious infections, mouth torn to pieces and permanently scarred by botched stitching after botched extractions..... There is no patient confidentiality, they will ask personal questions in a waiting room full of people rather than in the room they then escort you into for supposed treatment? Which I find very perplexing. It seems as though if you are unhappy with the low standard of care that you receive that the standard of care only decreases from that point. My last visit was a week ago, I know I need some treatment but being an NHS patient and not being able to afford the private treatments I was told see you in 6 months, I have had the initial stages of infection for the last week in one broken untreated tooth, and am at a total loss as to what I can possibly do about it. This surgery has a high turnover of dentists and rapid promotion of those that were relatively new having covered and moved on prior dentists... Try it. I'm sure if your bank balance is healthy and you have no dental health issues that you will be happy. However if you can't afford high dental costs and have some issues and it's possible to avoid I would certainly recommend seeking out dentists that treat you like a human being. It's impossible to say I'm happy as this surgery has caused me inordinate pain and has taken years off of my life. I should add that for over two years I had requested my dental records and this surgery has never provided them to me. Although I do still have the emails of my requests to back that claim up. There is also the fact that treatment plans have been cut short and treatments that were assured previously (after complaining) were never carried out. This has all been a long ongoing issue over the 8 years I have been with them. Being an NHS patient leaves you little option. It really wasn't any different when I was able to pay privately. I'm talking months and months of extreme pain and very poor treatment. When they are on a good day they can pull out good work on those few occasions I appreciate them for it. I don't appreciate the discrimination element that often occurs though. I might be poor my condition might not be great but I'm still a person. Just not the ideal patient with a bottomless wallet. There is a minimum standard of clinical care expected from NHS dentistry all at the discretion of the clinician. So just hope they like you..... If I suffer months more pain I shall be following through on complaints all the way up the chain this time. Infections are no joke and can cause permanent injury. Something I have already suffered so to be put back into that boat again is an utter disgrace. I am asked to provide a new review. But to be honest since the latest complete turnover of staff I have only had a single checkup! I still have multiple teeth in dire need of actual treatment so I'm afraid I cannot possibly change my review at all. My review will potentially change when I actually have some actual treatment.

Negative experience: NHS patients have no value to them. After two cancelled (by them) appointments for routine checkups, they call me up saying I need a checkup if I want to remain an NHS patient. Booked the appointment for the following week, just to have it cancelled 12 hours in advance. Zero value for customers’ time. At this point the quality of what they do doesn’t matter, because they never do it.

I have been asked to reply to your review because I am the dentist who needed to cancel the first few hours of my morning. I genuinely had a family emergency as my son was admitted with a life threatening problem the previous night, hence contacting you 12 hours before the appointment. I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. I made sure that the staff gave you the option to be seen by me after hours on the day but this was not convenient for you. It is sad that nationally, there is an increasing trend for dentists to refuse to work under the underfunded NHS contract. It is not true that we do not value our NHS patients. We have worked hard to provide some measure of NHS service at our Linton practice, but unfortunately I do see NHS dental services reducing due to a lack of dentists willing to work in the poorly funded state system. This really is a reflection of the NHS contract rather than he dentists.
Once again, I do apologise for needing to cancel your appointment.

Fantastic experience: Seems strange to be reviewing this but I'll go on. I had to have a wisdom tooth extracted. Not ideal but as it was over-erupted (I think that's the right term?) and was causing issues, it was necessary. Rozanne and her assistant were calm, professional, explained everything, ensured I was comfortable throughout and then checked I was ok before leaving. It's a shame that NHS dentistry is becoming such a rare commodity (like hens' teeth...sorry). In summary, I've always been happy with the service from Clock House Dentistry and recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I saw Suzanne Nolte on Monday 13th Jan who was very helpful and another appointment was arranged to see her 2 weeks later. I was surprised and disappointed to receive a phone call on 15th Jan cancelling the appointment and to be informed that she was leaving the practice on 17th Jan, which seemed very short notice. 5 stars for the treatment and no stars for the "follow up".

Negative experience: The Clock house establishment in Linton is a disgrace to the dentist industry. They butchered my teeth doing privately Invisalign. I was an NHS patient with them and they approached me for Invisalign treatment as I was interested in it in the past. Under promise of good price (3.8K) and straight teeth after the treatment I signed up. Little did I know that to finish the treatment to perfection would be tagged with much higher price (6.1K) and that filing my teeth would be involved!!! Which was not consulted with me until after I paid half of the money and the first molds were made. I was told if I backed off out of the treatment, she wouldn't return all of my money that I already paid. As it was paid for by my partner I felt under great pressure and finally, after about almost 2hours, I agreed to the treatment. Dear Lord! She completely butchered my teeth!!! I cried for many weeks...I couldn't deal with it by myself so I wrote to the practice manager. I was assured by her and also the dentist doing the job, that I just need to trust in the process and I was going to be happy at the end of the treatment. I believed them... Originally the treatment was estimated for 10 weeks. After 22 weeks of treatment I still had huge gaps but was told she was happy to finish my treatment. By then she even promised to reconstruct one of my front teeth for free instead of charging me for it extra. I guess she saw her awful work and this "kind" gesture would make her feel better about herself. Anyway, I knew that I couldn't stay with the huge gaps so I stood my ground and demanded more molds to make the gaps smaller. I wrote to the practice manager for the second time, refusing for the dentist to finish the reconstruction even if it was for free as I lost all faith in her ability to do even a decent job. By the time I finished my 29 week of treatment, she was leaving the practice. I suppose to butcher people's teeth in a different establishment. I was so scared for somebody else in the Clock house practice to touch my teeth that I took on the practice office manager's recommendation to go to the private dentist in Saffron Walden. The private dentist gave me an estimate to finish the job for another 1,089.50! As this involved finishing off the Invisalign treatment that I have already paid for I got back to the Clock house practice and requested this to be reimbursed to me. After a short wobble they did. My unfortunate Invisalign journey caused my mental health to decline and I'm not sure if I will ever be able to recover from it. When I spoke to the Clock house practice manger the last time, I recommended for Fenny Woi to be re-assessed in her Invisalign training as the job she did on me was extremely poor... first photo shows the gaps she wanted to leave me with after 22wks second photo is showing how she filed my tooth wonky

In the rare instance where a clinician does not meet the expectations of the practice, we will offer internal mentorship and recommend external courses for improvement.
