Fantastic experience: 10/10. I am genuinely petrified of dentist/hospitals/needles/surgery etc. I have severe Anxiety, and I cannot praise the team here enough. I forgot the lady on the phone’s name (sorry) but she was SO patient with me whilst I was uncontrollably sobbing down the phone to her, after being let down by another surgery, 111, and QA hospital whilst in extreme pain. Come 4:15pm when I arrived, Mina and Holly (?) reassured me from the second I walked in, and Holly literally held my hand the entire way through. (I am a 6ft2 24 year old lol) and Mina was SO patient with me and explained everything he was doing. You have no idea what difference you all made to me today, and how grateful I am. I am now way less scared of the dentist, and not to mention I can now sleep for the first time in months. God bless all of you x

Fantastic experience: Only had an initial specialist appointment. However, the service, environment & specialist treatment appeared to be top notch. There were a few queries referring to insurance cover and Tina on reception was outstanding in both her expertise and her calm professional approach in getting everything resolved brilliantly!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazed went in Richard i believe his name was and I think it was sarah both extremely professional and made me feel completely at ease ( I suffer with major anxiety and agoraphobia) got my tooth extracted all done within 20 mins back out the door. Cannot fault this place from the second you get in the door to when you leave they make you feel very welcome and was a painless procedure.

Fantastic experience: I had been experiencing a lot of pain with my lower wisdom teeth, and my dentist referred me to The Wessex Dental Specialist Centre, where everyone was absolutely lovely. Surgeon Richard Ramsey and his two wonderful nurses removed both of my lower wisdom teeth in one go. The whole procedure took around 10 minutes. I was very nervous beforehand, but they reassured me that everything would be fine, and it truly was. The nurses were so kind, constantly checking in on me and making sure I was comfortable. I don’t know their names, but I would like to send them my heartfelt thanks. One of my wisdom teeth had grown onto the nerve, which had been causing repeated infections, so I am very grateful for the care I received. I would highly recommend surgeon Richard Ramsey and his team, and if I ever need my upper wisdom teeth removed, I would definitely return to him. The reception staff were also extremely helpful and even arranged a taxi for me afterwards. Thank you so much to the whole team! Alina

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Wessex Dental Periodontist, Shubra Mantri who provided excellent treatment. Very caring and detailed explanation of treatment. Subsequently have recently seen Hygienist Naomi and nurse Matilda for 3 monthly treatment. This was a revelation as not only did I only need one injection but equipment is top of the range providing warm water for the ultrasonic scaler which is a great improvement for sensitive teeth and gums. The best dental surgery I have attended and I totally recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had been in extreme pain for 2 months with a cystic lump growing in my jaw, when I approached the Wessex Dental Specialist Clinic. Within 48 hours the lump had been removed and I was on my way to recovery. I have been well looked after every step of the way by sympathetic and well qualified staff. I would definitely recommend the clinic to anybody in urgent need of care. Thank you especially to Richard Ramsey.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to the Wessex DSC for a tooth extraction following two previous difficult attempts. I was nervous and was made to feel at ease by Benedict Davies. Following three injections the tooth was out painlessly and amazingly within seconds. I would highly recommend this dentist.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Wessex Dental by my own dentist for a tooth extraction. The original date, because of long wait times, I received was in January 2026 but was told I could be contacted if a short notice cancellation came up. I received a phone call yesterday and was offered an appointment today which luckily I could take. 6 months earlier than planned, result! I was greeted on arrival and the whole process was over in 45 minutes. My Dental surgeon was Ben Davies, very professional and informative as well as a friendly person who talked me through the procedure and I never felt any pain throughout. The dental nurse whose name I did not catch was also fab! Thank you for excellent treatment

Fantastic experience: I took my (very nervous) son in for an extraction today. Dr Price was very friendly and patient and really helped my son to relax to the point he had to ask if he had taken the tooth out yet. He even had time to listen to me waffle on (hiding my nerves!!) the receptionist greeted us with a smile and was very welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

As a result I’ve decided to leave my existing dentist due to the level of professionalism & state of the art equipment provided at the Wessex. Fantastic experience: I was referred to the Wessex for a tooth extraction and could not have received better treatment. The response from the Centre was very quick, and a convenient appointment identified straight away. The instructions to prepare for the extraction and how to get to the Centre superb. My Dentist and Assistant were magnificent, explaining the procedure and post-procedure care clearly. Their professional yet friendly approach put my mind at rest, getting me in a calm state ready for the procedure. The procedure was over in a matter of minutes, during which I felt no pain what so ever - really, I have felt more pain flossing than I experienced during this procedure. Armed with clear instructions on how to care for the wound over the next few days, I was on my way home within 20 minutes of first arriving at the centre. I unhesitatingly recommend the Wessex in the most positive way that I can. I will definitely use their services again when needed.

Fantastic experience: Had an implant done in Wessex Fareham by Richard Ramsey. There are many stages to this, spanning over a year with all the latest technology. A true professional that really knows his stuff, supported by equally competent staff.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to the Wessex Dental Specialist Centre by my dental practice. I needed to have an extraction, but as I’d had radiotherapy (on my eye) in the past five years they wanted to make sure it was ‘safe’ to do so. I am extremely anxious/terrified of the dentist but I needn’t have worried. Ben and his nurse were amazing, Ben reassured me that it was ok to have my tooth removed and that it would be straightforward and painless. He was right! I was amazed at how quickly it was all over, there was no pain and no bleeding at all. In fact it’s 3 days later and my gum has almost healed already. Yes, my jaw is sore but that’s to be expected. I was very impressed by the practice it’s very high tech, the waiting area is very relaxing and the reception staff are kind and understanding. I really can’t praise them enough.

Fantastic experience: I have come here today because I had a moral next to my wisdom tooth, tooth 7 causing havoc in my mouth, my dentist did a referral to come here as I was in agony. I spoke this morning with the receptionist her name was Tina, she is a God send and absolutely lovely she managed to wiggle me in and find a space for me were there wasn't one. Richard the dentist was absolutely amazing and comforting, he made me feel safe and did not made me feel ashamed for this and his assistants where lovely!! They're very soothing and me being terrified of dentists as it is was absolutely petrified to have to get this tooth taken out, they held my hand through the hole process and where just amazing people. I could cry with how well I was treated today here. I will be recommending this place to everyone.

The procedure was fast and quick and the surgeon and the dental nurse did a fantastic job when carrying out the procedure - even if at one point I felt like jumping out the chair from the pulling , but the nurse ever so kindly let me hold her hand . Having had bad dental experiences in the past, I was quite nervous, but from the moment I walked in, Dr. Ramsey instantly put me at ease. He was calm, professional, and took the time to explain everything he was doing, which really helped me feel more relaxed. I had a tricky wisdom tooth extraction, but thanks to his skill and care, the whole procedure was smooth, quick, and completely pain-free. I was in and out in no time. Fantastic experience: As an anxious patient I was extremely worried about coming into the dentist today for a tooth extraction however I was looked after by Richard, Laura and Kirsty who were phenomenal. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by all their smiles I knew I was in good hands! Richard was very friendly and explained all that I needed to know for aftercare and what was going to be happening and Kirsty and Laura distracted me whilst I was waiting to be numb. Fantastic experience: Visited Wessex Dental Specialist on 7/5/25 for dental surgery and WOW, extremely polite reception staff, comfortable reception waiting area, Richard and his assistant were absolutely amazing, made me feel comfortable and relaxed, as I have a history of bleeding after extractions Richard made sure I wouldn’t be bleeding for days on end like I would usually expect from other dental extractions I have had. I am a little uncomfortable after the surgery but this is to be expected and was advised so, I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the team at Wessex, you all made an unpleasant treatment more bearable.

Fantastic experience: I was in a car accident, got knocked off my bike and suffered several injuries including the loss of 2 front teeth and another fractured and displaced. This resulted in a lengthy process including root canal, extraction, splinting and implant surgery. The dentists and nurses were caring and delivered amazing care through my treatment. They made me feel safe and comfortable through such a trauma. Huge thanks to Ben, Alistair, and Bernadette i can’t thank them enough. I would highly recommended this practise!

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Wessex to see a Peridontal Specialist, Shubra Mantri. I had a consultation, deep clean and had my 6 week review last week. I am pleased to say I had good news last week. Shubra is lovely, I was very upset and anxious when I was referred to Wessex, Shubra explained everything, she was very thorough and patient. I will be using Wessex now for hygienist appointments every few months first one being end of March.

Fantastic experience: Bernadette saw me for an emergency root canal consultation, I had not been to the dentist for nearly 10 years, I was terrified. She put me at ease, cracked on with the treatment as she could tell I was in a-lot of pain so needed treatment there and then. For a few days after I was told the pain might be the same/worse but after a few days it would get better with antibiotics also. My immediate pain has gone, she called me a few days after to check on myself which was much appreciated! I am booked back in for the 2nd round of root canal treatment. Thank you to everyone at the clinic for a great experience!!

Fantastic experience: Due to a problem with a 'root canal' that was done many years ago, my dentist referred me to the Wessex specialist centre at Fareham. A full consultation explaining everything and two treatment sessions followed, this has resolved the issue, all carried out by Bernadette and her very competent dental nurse. All in all it was an enjoyable experience with the added bonus of entertainment in the pair singing along to the radio . Thankyou ladies

I had 12 teeth removed and of course, I was extremely nervous, but was made to feel at ease by the dentist and his assistant. I didn't feel judged, and felt genuine empathy directed towards me. Fantastic experience: I had to have a wisdom tooth extracted as it was causing problems, 2 other dental suites refused to do this and referred me to Hospital Appointments, But the Wessex Dental team extracted the tooth in a professional way, explaining the whole process as we went along, and with a pain free extraction too. 100% would recommend.

Fantastic experience: The clinic looks smart, the waiting room is comfortable and the service is efficient. The nurse (Becky) conducting my x-ray arrived to collect me on time and was friendly and professional, explaining how the x-ray equipment worked, what I needed to do, and showing me the x-ray afterwards. I was in and out in under 15 minutes and my x-ray was emailed to my regular dentist for a review consultation two hours after my appointment at the Wessex. Great service!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient of Wessex Dental for a couple of years now having left my last dentist because of substandard care. I have received great treatment as a private patient, seeing Ben for an implant and Angus for Sparks alignment. Yesterday I visited Kendal and her assistant for my regular hygiene appointment. Fantastic experience: Amazing place, attended for both upper wisdom teeth to be extracted under a NHS referral, the reception staff were very welcoming and kept me informed about a slight delay, Rajiv Anand my dental specialist explained the procedure very clearly and was very reassuring, the whole procedure only took approx 15 minutes, after injections Rajiv extracted the first tooth in about 2 minutes and the second which was impacted about 5 minutes, I was amazed how quick it was, Rajiv's dental nurse was brilliant too making sure I felt ok afterwards. I wasn't looking forward to this procedure but I shouldn't have worried at all, zero pain, very quick, pleasant surroundings and very professional friendly staff, thank you all so much.
