Fantastic experience: Nobody loves going to a dentist but juluan sharples is brilliant at what he does but very layed back and quite funny which put me at ease, did not enjoy my experience because it was quite a lengthy procedure but so very worth while and a now have a compeset tooth instead of a gap, professionally done and looks natural thankyou Julian and the nice young woman helping him. 5star x

Fantastic experience: Today I had my routine six-monthly dental check and hygienist appointment. From walking through front door until I left, it felt like I was in safe hands. Everyone was very professional, friendly and approachable. As someone with a lifelong fear of dentists I'm so happy to have found Bupa Newton Abbot as that fear has gone. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Since moving to this practise I have received excellent care and advice from both my dentist and the hygienist. When treatment has been needed, all options have been fully explained. My dentist also picked up on a throat issue resulting from the use of a steroid inhaler.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit to the practice .. I saw Julian .. from the minute I walked in I felt very much at ease .. he was very thorough and explained what treatment I would need going forward and was very clear on costings etc a very positive experience

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusted with this practice. I've been with them for 20 years almost. They're getting rid of all their NHS dentists but telling the patients that they can't get them so you have to go private. They have hundreds of patients that have been left high and dry ,totally shocking . They haven't bothered to write to all the patients either. It's like a cartel ,they can control the prices if there's no NHS .. They all look miserable when you go in there ( like a rottweiler chewing a brick). Good riddance

Fantastic experience: Been using bupa on Brunel for years. Julian is the best dentist in the world as far as I'm concerned. Took my wisdom tooth out today and it was over in about 20 seconds and I didn't feel a thing! His skills are amazing!

Positive experience: The practice seems to be well run. Just a shame there is no NHS service for most people as treatment costs are high - as with all private practices.

Fantastic experience: As an NHS patient I no longer received check-up appointments. I switched to the Private pay monthly scheme as I was already paying for hygienist treatments. Now I feel that I’m able to maintain proper healthy teeth and gums which saves money on dental treatment in the long term. The hygienist Ashleigh Tibbs is an excellent professional. In particular she manages treatments in a sensitive way.

Fantastic experience: Haneen is a very professional and friendly hygenist. Few enjoy going to the dentist, but this was almost pleasurable! This surgery proves very good facilities within a calm and reassuring atmosphere. Thank you for providing disabled parking facilities; it makes such a difference.

Fantastic experience: Wanted to get me in and out in shortest time possible yet charge full price. Did filling with no dri0lling or injection. Feel treated second class as NHS patient as now wants to go all private . Visit today 14th August was excellent. Really thorough and brilliant job. Just very disappointed though that the whole practice is now going private. What do NHS people do

Fantastic experience: A really lovely experience for my 11 year old son. The Receptionists were really friendly and spoke to Lloyd which put him at ease and then Julian called us in and he was very professional. He spoke to Lloyd and explained everything he was doing and how Lloyd should take care of his teeth. A wonderful experience from start to finish.

I expected to have to go back for treatment but Julian did a new filling there and then - clarifying cost and options etc before he started I would highly recommend the Bupa practice.

Fantastic experience: I had my first hygienist appointment which I was a little bit apprehensive about, but Ashleigh talked me through the whole process and was very reassuring and kind :)

Fantastic experience: I had to have a tooth out. Julian made this a much better experience than I would expect. I had no pain and the atmosphere was relaxed. I have been trying for years to get an NHS dentist but I will stop looking now. It didn’t cost anything like as much as I had feared. So BUPA are stuck with me now. If you are worried about cost or phobic about dentists fear not this is the place for us.

Negative experience: Hi I recently visited my dentist for new dentures - unfortunately I have been back on 5 separate occasions to have them repaired. The staff were very helpful and professional. But my plate keep breaking in the same spot so in my opinion not fit for purpose. I have requested on each occasion that wire be placed inside the plate to strengthen them to no avail so I don't have a lot of faith in this latest repair.

Negative experience: Went to this dentist after using 111 service as I was in agony about 5 weeks ago ,I was made to feel I was a burden,all the female dentist done was put some sort of covering on my tooth,since that day I've gone private and had 2 teeth removed,one with a serious infection,at a cost of £500.00. Avoid this dentist at all cot unless you can pay private,they were more interested in holding us to ransom , until we produced the relevant certificate, really bad service unless you pay.
