Fantastic experience: I have been going to Devon Dental, Centre of Excellence for around 6 or 7 years. I had come off my push bike, and I damaged my front teeth. I couldn’t possibly have left that job to my nhs dentist, whose service was basic, at best. My first consultation was with Mitesh. He was great and I actually gave up cigarettes that day and signed up to their dental plan. Magdalena, who is an artist, took out the 3 teeth that didn’t come out in the accident and built them up with somehow. Then she copied them and made me four new teeth and secured them with a glass fibre bridge. I couldn’t have been happier. I have gone to Lindsay in Plymouth for hygiene appointments and it’s a very long journey by train for me, but totally worth it. I’ve always been treated with the upmost respect. Magdalena and Lindsay are always genuinely interested in how you are and have time to chat and listen. Not only are they great at what they do, they are beautiful humans. They visit less fortunate countries and fix people’s teeth. I have bought handmade gifts from the Plymouth practice that they sell in order to raise funds. I always share with people how great they are but I really do owe them an online review. They are fantastic and getting on their dental plan is worth every penny.
Fantastic experience: Very prompt emergency appointment following tooth extraction as in a lot of pain. Very kind receptionist fitted me in the days appointments. Dentist reassured me all was healing well and no infection! Dentist really took the time to explain what was going on. Great service!

Fantastic experience: My first appointment here after moving into the area. The reception staff were warm and friendly, my appointment started on time and the dentist was clear and efficient, explaining the long term possibilities for my existing dental work, should I experience any deterioration. The practice is light and bright with lots of windows, which help you feel relaxed. I’m delighted to have found somewhere I feel safe and comfortable.

Fantastic experience: I have always been very nervous about a hygienist using a drill on my teeth and used to feel apprehensive about going to every appointment.With my gum condition I need to see a hygienist four times a year. I was recommended this practice because they have a new machine that cleans your teeth with pressurised water rather than the grinding of a drill that I absolutely hate. Nisreen, the Hygienist is absolutely wonderful and very caring. She gives me very good advice and is very reassuring. My partner has also transferred to this practice because of the treatment I have received. All the staff at the practice are very helpful and always seem to answer the phone very quickly. This was not the case at my last practice. With this new machine I actually look forward to going. It makes my teeth feel so much cleaner and whiter after the treatment... Would really highly recommend this practice to anyone. Marina

Positive experience: I’ve had a very mixed experience. It was expensive for a filling (£300) which ended up needing some adjustment. They did not correctly refer my daughter to the orthodontist, which caused months of unnecessary delays (hugely annoying mistake). They also asked my daughter to come back after 6 months only to give a cursory inspection and seemed to be surprised we were told to visit within 6 months rather than 12. The hygienist was very good. But won’t be going back to this dentist.

Negative experience: This practice need to think seriously about improving their customer 'pathway'....from a shabby entrance, poor signage, unavailable internet etc. to never being ready for your appointment and always keeping you waiting. If you want to charge high end prices and keep your customers then why not consider offering a top class service and experience throughout? (£60 for a 5 minute check up)

Negative experience: Unfortunately I left this practice after many years when they started charging £70 deposits on appointments. I'd never broken an appointment - unlike them, and they did not seem to understand they were effectively charging a fee for the privilege of using them.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend my dentist Lauren highly enough. She is always friendly, professional and gentle with me as are all the nurses. The whole practice creates a warm and welcoming experience which puts you at ease straight away.

Negative experience: I was referred to this dentist by NHS. I walked in and was asked to make a payment which I did. When I finally got into see the dentist with a half of one of my teeth missing and toothache in my wisdom teeth I was told there was nothing wrong but they are happy to clean my teeth. The next day I got a phone call saying I owed them money for my appointment as had a teeth clean. So ended up paying for band 2 treatment but still suffering with toothache and have a tooth that is half missing and left untreated. I would not recommend this dentist at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If zero stars was an option that is what you would get

As we are fully private practice and don't take payment for band treatments, this is something the NHS do depending on what treatment a patient has had. Positive experience: Hygienist was very good and explained Procedures fully. This is based ony last visit but previously over the years I have had many appointments changed , so I felt lucky to get this one.

Positive experience: I was given the full attention by the Hygenist. It was difficult for me not to cough during the session. The dribbles from the water caught in my throat causing me to cough.holding up the careful work.
