Fantastic experience: Me and my mum are really pleased with our dental appointments and treatment. Everything is explained in detail and we are very clear what next steps should be taken. We even had x rays taken, at our first appointment. Nazia the practice manager is lovely and fantastic and always gets back to my queries and questions. Dr Nuha Rabee has done a fantastic job with my 3 fillings. She and Suha put me at ease and did them with care. I'm glad we switched dentist! I highly recommend the practice.

Negative experience: Scams after Scams! I have been with them for more than one and a half years and this is the review that everyone needs to read before starting any dental care with them. At first I needed a teeth filling, which I clearly told them that I wanted it through NHS service. They stated that to qualify a filling with NHS price, I have to wait for at least one and a half months, which I have to pay a deposit to secure the booking (I was fine with it and paid the deposit, but afterwards I talked to staff at the NHS centre, they told me that clinics should not have taken any deposit if the patience is booking with NHS price). It is a minor thing, so I let it slide. During the filling, I also enquired about Invisalign. Which they told me that it was £3250, comes with one unbranded retainer and a free whitening worth £350. I decided to go with them and paid another deposit while paying for my NHS filling treatment. 2 months later, I received a letter from NHS, stating that this clinic claimed money via NHS Low Income Scheme with my account. But because I'm not entitled for it, I had to pay a fine of £200. I had no clue what that was about and confronted the clinic. They claimed that I signed some sort of form, so that I didn't have to pay for my NHS filling (but I did, and if you remember correctly I also paid a deposit at the beginning which they also took from me and did not refund). Apparently while I signed for my Invisalign contract, they either used my digital signature on the low income scheme form, or they basically forged my signature. As I am 100% sure I did not sign the form that they claimed. Anyway, because I have already signed and paid a deposit for my Invisalign, I had to continue with them. I paid the NHS fine and let that whole fiasco slide AGAIN! However, the filing that they did only lasted a few days and it fell off, I immediately told the dentist, as legally she is required to fill it again without charge. But she insisted over and over on doing it at the end of the Invisalign treatment instead, as my aligner will be covering my teeth anyways? It was pointless to argue, so I just had to go with it and constantly remind her during the Invisalign treatment. During my Invisalign treatment, there was a lot of problem as well. They sometimes call me and asked me to do another X-Ray scan, when I've already done it, later I found out that they constantly mixed my file up with another patience's which caused all these problems. Nurses and doctors were not professional either, I have had water poured all over my face by accident (with the dentist jokingly said that I'm getting a free face wash), I have had heavy equipments accidentally dropped on me by their nurse, and at one time, the nurse even sat on my face while walking backwards. All of these you can laugh about, but it just showed how amateur they are and how unprofessional the practice is. One and a half year later, once my Invisalign have finished. I reminded the dentist to redo the filling, which she promised to fix at the beginning of the treatment. And for some reason, she said I'll have to pay for it again! It'll cost me over £100 to do it again. I was furious about it, but in a way expected it to happen as they have used different techniques to scam or get away with things and ask for extra charges. What's done was done, I thought that was it. Now that everything is done I just needed to get the free whitening that was included in the contract. They constantly told me that they were out of stock on it and asked me to call again to check. That was in January, it is March now and I just called them to check again. They said they now have it, but IT IS NOT FREE. I will have to either pay £50 for the standard whitening syringe or upgrade to a branded one for another £200/£300+. IT IS OUTRAGEOUS! The excuse that they made over and over again to make you pay hidden charges and not provide what you were paid to get is just ridiculous!

Hygienist services the same , external good results always. Receptionist, dental assistants all committed to giving their best to all patients. Highly recommend Oakworth Practice, couldn't find better.

Fantastic experience: I write in praise of my exceptional dentist Dr Jaima Soneji because she makes me feel great. I became her patient over ten years ago, after I had undergone 2 years of severe cancer treatments. I was feeling vulnerable, nervous and afraid, dreading yet more appointments and embarrassed by the state of my teeth and gums. Dr Jaima is easy to talk to and always takes time to ensure I feel comfortable and completely at ease with my dental plan and costs. The clinic uses modern dental equipment and tools to provide both planned treatment and treatment when in need. She is very gentle and reassuring when she is working and I trust her completely.

Fantastic experience: I had an absolutely wonderful experience so far with Oakwood. I had no issues at all registering as an NHS patient and could not believe how quickly I was seen (within 2 weeks of registering!). My initial check up appointment was clear, caring, gentle and professional. I received some good advice which I am following. I booked in the following week for an airflow deep clean with the hygienist and the practice very kindly increased the standard time slot by 15 mins for me as I had a fair bit of work to be done on my teeth! The hygienist was without doubt the best I have ever met and I am still in disbelief with the incredible job she has done on my teeth. She was patient, unbelievably kind, professional and respectful and so extremely gentle. This was a massive job and I fully expected to need to come back for a second cleaning but she managed to clean every nook and cranny to utter perfection in that time! What an absolute specialist. My mouth looks 100000% better - I keep looking in the mirror at the results. The staining and tartar build up has completely gone. For the price paid and the quality of service delivered, this is honestly unbeatable. I have been attending a wonderful private dentist in Chiswick which I still think is absolutely fab, but Oakwood has saved me an absolute fortune and the quality of care that I have received is the BEST that I have ever received at any other dentist. The receptionist team are absolutely lovely. They are both extremely warm and welcoming and have made the entire registering and booking experience and absolute breeze. If you are looking for a new dental practice, this is it!!!!

Negative experience: The receptionists did a terrible job keeping my records in order. I made an appointment and paid my deposit. A few days before my appointment, I called to change my appointment date because I was ill and wouldn't be able to make it. When I called them to change the appointment, the receptionist said that my original appointment was cancelled even though I already paid my deposit! Anyway, I told them that I still paid the deposit and that I would like to change the date anyway. I ended up changing the date but a few days later, my dental problems disappeared so I called to ask for a refund and cancel my new appointment, which they told me they did. However, on the day of my original appointment, I get a text message saying that I will not be getting a refund because I missed the appointment -- WHICH THEY TOLD ME THEY CANCELLED IN THE FIRST PLACE. Overall, the receptionists are nice, but their systems are all messed up and has caused me more stress than I needed to. Very unprofessional contacting methods, sending me emails and messages from different email accounts and mobile numbers. Will not be booking another appointment.

Fantastic experience: I was hugely surprised at the lovely experiences I’ve had at Oakwood Dental practice. It is local to me and my husband was the one who visited first and was raving on about how good it was and encouraged me to try. I generally don’t like going to the dentist because I’ve had a terrible, painful experience in the past at another dental surgery. Since then, I developed a fear of going to the dentist and have been putting off the health and care of my teeth for many years. I’ve visited Oakwood practice 3 times now, first was to have a deep dental cleaning. I’m sorry I can’t remember the name of the lovely Dental Hygienist but she was wonderful. She was very reassuring, told me I was doing well and going as gentle as she could, as well as advising me on the correct way to clean my teeth. Second time was to have my back tooth extracted, it was a complicated extraction as the root was broken in my gum. I was soo scared but the experience I received is beyond words. Dr Jaima Soneji is absolutely fantastic and the lovely Assistant Nurse Bianca is the absolute best. They both were very helpful, reassuring and tried to calm me. I still cannot believe that I didn’t feel pain after the anaesthetic wore off. Dr Jaima removed my tooth in what felt like 5 mins, very quick. She also answered all of my concerns and advised me on aftercare. The third time was to have a filling and that too was very quick and pain free and Dr Jaima and Nurse Bianca were once again extremely gentle. I had an exceptionally kind and pleasant experience here. The practice is very professional, very clean, well maintained and the receptionists are both very friendly. I totally recommend this practice especially if you have any fears of visiting the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Moving to London and got a new dentist so went to Oakwood for a checkup. Was told I need a filling which wasn’t good. Went back a few weeks later for a deep clean with the hygienist and the filling all done in one trip. Have to say it was the most comfortable I’ve ever felt in the dentist. Didn’t feel a thing with any of the work done. The filling (which normally terrifies me with the needle and injection) was all fine and done in about 5 minutes. Dr Jaima made me feel super relaxed and everything went amazingly! A very good dental practice. Will use them again

Positive experience: Myself and my son have recently started using Oakwood Dental Surgery. My son has a disability so finding a Dentist who is patient and takes that's extra care and time is very important for me and my son. Dr T Patel was so understanding, kind and willing to explain what he was doing whilst my son was having fillings. Which put my son at ease. My son felt relaxed (as much as you can whilst having fillings anyway) and he is happy to go back for review and see the Hygienist. Staff are friendly also. The only issue is access is a little awkward for my son and his wheelchair. It is not a modern building so a bit small to manoeuvre. Because of the kindness of Dr T Patel and the nurse who was very kind. We will be going back. I would recommend.

I was comfortable during the whole procedure from start to finish thanks to Dr Taijas Patel as well as Dr Aleena Khan they did a fantastic job. I would also like to thank the hygienists at Oakwood Dental Practice for my routine cleaning check up. As a result my gums feel a lot healthier and the overall appearance of my teeth has improved.

He has a very calming influence for patients who are anxious when visiting the dentist. Both himself and his assistant discuss everything with you before doing anything and explains step by step as he goes along. They listen to your concerns. Negative experience: Avoid at all cost! Terrible Terrible service. Got charged almost £100 for service I didn't need or informed of. They just want your money...

Fantastic experience: I had quite a painful emergency today and even though it was very last minute shortly before closing time, not only did Dr Taijas Patel take plenty of time to treat me but he was also super kind. Patiently explained the treatment options and answered questions - very warm and reassuring throughout which is especially great if you're an anxious patient. I've been with Oakwood Dental for 3 years now and have only positive things to say - from short waiting times on the day to good organisation and a wonderful team that goes above and beyond, even during the busiest of times. Thank you, appreciate you all!

Fantastic experience: This is a amazing dental practice, After trying out so many dental practices this practise made me feel comfortable. Dr Taijas Patel is a amazing dentist an was able to remove my wisdom tooth fast and painless. I would highly recommend this practise to anyone who needs urgent help.
