Fantastic experience: Needed an urgent tooth removal and Hannah and the team could not have been more helpful or professional. Fully explained the process and potential issues. Great after care, as well.

Negative experience: Used to be an excellent practice in the days of Mr Slabbert & Taylor, but now a chain with a high staff turnover leading to a lack of continuity. Long waits for appointments unless you are an emergency case. Stuck with them for 23 years, but have changed practice now after their last dentist battled to wrench out a bad tooth for 25 minutes. I had regular check ups, but still ended up with an undetected dental infection until it was too advanced to save the tooth. My new dental practice is like a breath of fresh air, modern facilities, really thorough check ups and gentle treatment delivered with care.

When I came into their surgery a nervous, burbling woman, my dental anxiety was diffused by a mixture of patience and humour and I left with a whopping big smile on my face. Fantastic experience: Had emergency appointment today due to acute pain . Booked 8.30 am and seen same day at 4.15 pm . Saw Rafik the new dental surgeon at the practice . He told me what he needed to do and within 30 minutes he had dealt professionally with my problem and I’m looking forward to a pain free evening . Very very pleased . I love the way she explains everything and actually has a conversation with you about what's going on! Makes u feel like she cares and your in capable hands it means ALOT !! Fantastic experience: I contacted College Street dental practice on 07/12/23 for an emergency appointment and was seen on the same day, this is why I would recommend the practice. Janette on reception was very, very helpful and although there was not an emergency appointment for that day she said she would contact me if anything became available. As luck would have it and as promised Janette called an hour later with an appointment for that day. I can't thank her enough for going above and beyond and for caring. Excellent service. Also my dentist Annie was amazing, she explained everything in a clear and concise way including the after care. She also put my mind at rest and said that if there were any problems I could contact her. Considering the treatment resulted in having a tooth extracted it was virtually pain free and for that I can’t thank her enough. In closing the whole experience from start to finish was exemplary and the whole team delivered an outstanding performance.

The entire experience at the College Street Clinic was excellent. The reception staff are warm and welcoming, and very efficient. The waiting room is very homely which instantly made me feel comfortable. My dentist was friendly and personalised her service to me. She initially spoke to me face-to-face for a consultation, which I found reassuring - previous dentists I've seen have waited till I'm in the chair, leaning backwards and facing away from them before talking. My treatment plan was discussed and agreed, and the waiting time for treatment to begin was not long at all. An all-round excellent service.

Although they were unable to give me an appointment I spoke to a lovely lady called Jo Turner, I was so upset on the phone as I was in pain and it felt as if nobody wanted to help me, but she did. Jo recommended me somewhere else and I was able to get an emergency appointment there. I just really want to thank Jo for all of her help! ☺️
