Fantastic experience: An unexpected incident took me to the doors of Bupa Dental Care in Thornton Cleveleys. I was very apprehensive to start with. However, once I had booked the appointment, and I was sitting at the dental chair, my butterflies settled. Dr CM is a gentle and well manner dentist, who put me at ease and hear the story behind my first visit. He was thorough with his check up, gave me some tips and the prognosis was positive. No doubt, my next visit will be less daunting. Thank you to you all at Bupa

Fantastic experience: First time at this dentist after getting ripped off to the tune of almost 2k at my last private dentist in Farnworth. Service excellent from original enquiry through to the treatment received. Great service by dentist Chris Merrill and the young lady dental assistant. Both friendly and professional throughout procedure and kept at ease although it was totally pain free. Fantastic practice in the heart of Thornton, staff are a credit to them, from the ladies on reception to the dental staff themselves...and cheaper than my last dentist by a considerable amount! All in all a great experience (even if you are worried about treatment) and would highly recommend to any potential new clients. Now pain free and happy..!

Fantastic experience: Cannot be faulted. The reception staff are always welcoming. My most recent visit was for composite bonding. Perri is amazing and is clearly highly skilled in this field. I am delighted with the work she has carried out and has enabled me to give a toothy smile for the first time in over 35 years!! Perri was assisted by Gemma and Lucy who were great. Very professional, complimentary, and nice and chatty too.

Fantastic experience: One of the best dentist experiences I've had. I went in for a filling, and I've not had one before and I was feeling a bit nervous. Vasu and Nic were very lovely. Quickly put me at ease, explained what was going to happen, and made it very clear that if I was in pain to just say and they would stop. Very friendly, very kind and a really relaxed experience.

Fantastic experience: I had a cleaning appointment with Vasu and Mehek. These two ladies made, what is inevitably an unenjoyable experience, as pleasant and comfortable as they possibly could. They were professional, friendly and caring. The treatment was carried out as quickly and gently as it could have been and they both put me at ease as they could see I was quite nervous. I have no reservations about recommending any treatment with these ladies or indeed, anyone at this practice.

Fantastic experience: My first visit to a dentist since before covud, so I was slightly apprehensive about the condition of my teeth. I was greeted by polite and helpful reception staff. I was seen by Chris and his nurse Jess who made me feel at ease during my initial check up and they explained the treatment I needed after a thorough examination. I made a further appointment to see a therapist the next day and was treated by the very calming Vasu and her nurse Mahak. Very happy with the service provided, excellent practice with a great team.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to leave a review for this practice to let people know of my experience I originally went private and chose bupa after experiencing a really bad dental practice and it's dentists, unfortunately I was left with needing quite abit of work doing which included fillings, secondary root canal and unfortunately my first ever tooth removal and I was told my teeth were fine and I was made to feel that the pain I was in was nothing to do with my teeth, all the time they were rotting, understandably I listened to my gut and had to pay going private and chose bupa for their well established name, as you can imagine I was left anxious and untrusting of professionals answers For part of my treatment I was sent to the bupa at thorton cleveleys, I first went to see if my rotten tooth could be saved. I was first in communication with the most amazing lady called Nic she has been my rock through this journey,really friendly, helpful, easy to get on with and puts you at ease straight away,i never felt I was a burden to her and instead of the nurses I was use to, she was there to help me and reassure me at all times, Nic Thankyou!,never change you! My first appointment I was met by one of the nicest receptionists I've ever met, her name is Karen O She is so friendly, engaging and generally looks like she cares and helpful, her manners are implicable,I know she probably wants the rest of her reception team to get credit as that seems to be the type of person she is but Karen O you deserve the recognition yourself, please be you always I then met Dr Hossam what a calm and soothing man he is , so friendly and helpful, nothing seems to faze him because of my experience with my last dentist and the anxiety and fear and quite frankly leaving me untrustworthy of what they say,I asked if my mother , yes my mother, a woman in her early 40s asking to be there for support, Dr hossam understood and allowed her to be my comfort and Dr Hossam I can't thank you enough for that understanding Now I went thinking this procedure was going to be painful and at first touch it was because it was rotten but when he got into the tooth , he was so gentle and I could relax making my experience as pain free as It could be, when I tell you Dr Hossam is an artist I'm not exaggerating his work is top end , he's methodical and makes sure each piece is done throughly , I don't know how he doesn't tire out , with the help of Nic they become quite the duo, sadly that tooth was left to rot for too long and couldn't be saved but I'll be grateful to atleast him for trying to save something that maybe was gone long since I then returned to see if my other tooth could have a second root canal and again Nic was there to advise me step by step and i saw the wonderful Dr Hossam again Again I was met with the same kindness and friendliness as I was shown previously and I thought a second root canal this is going to be painful and torturous obviously only going by what I'd experienced in the past but when I tell you , I never felt the Dr in my mouth at all , he was so gentle Both times he spent over an hour in my mouth , the man is fantastic , absolute artistic in his work Again I was greeted by the lovely lady Karen O at reception , each trip seeing them was made easier and calming by these wonderful people To finish off my stay at bupa , Nic organised another Dr to crown my second root canal tooth and appointments were booked for this I met the most friendly ,Welcoming gentleman Dr Charlie ,his presence instantly calmed me ,his knowledge and patience and explaining everything to me, every question wasn't too much and again he was so gentle in my mouth, I am totally ashamed of my teeth and when it came down to choosing the right thing, he could see my embarrassment and Shame and helped me through it, nothing was too much trouble, Myself, Dr Charlie and Nic got on so well together,we were chatting and laughing and I was so calm by the end of it, you don't get that normally and each thing these 4 people have done for me means everything, I will miss them truly!

Fantastic experience: Vasu and Ellie were my dentists today for a deep clean and a filling. Vasu with her calming lovely nature made my visit so much less stressful. We need more like these two lovely women in dentistry as it is nerve wracking for some people, but with lovely people like these it definitely makes all the difference

Fantastic experience: In a world where good manners are pretty rare, even in set ups like dentists and doctors when you need them the most, Thomas Symm (Tom) brings them in abundance and makes you feel completely at ease. His patients are not a burden. They are not willing victims along a dubious dental path. Tom is down to earth, kind, meticulous and knowledgeable, and the finest dentist I have ever had during my 54 years. He is exactly the sort of person one desperately wants to meet in an environment that can easily stoke fear and nervousness. May he be cloned and 'Robot Tom' sent to dentistry schools throughout the UK. Schools which may 'know their stuff' but are often short of that key ingredient in this business: warmth.

Fantastic experience: I had an issues with a chipped tooth/filling which was loose and causing discomfort, to say I'm nervous about going to the dentist is an understatement... anyway I knew it would only get worse if I didn't so booked in for a review, I saw Perri and Gemma and the service and professionalism including exceptional knowledge and skill not to mention their kindness, patience and compassion was second to none.. absolutely outstanding in my opinion, they put me at ease, explained exactly what the issue was, options and potential pathways for treatment, during treatment they continued to explain what they were doing, ensured I was pain free and reassured me throughout, I just wanted to say a big thank you to you both for your care it really did make such a difference.

Fantastic experience: Just had our first appointment with the dentist and hygienist at Bupa Dental Care Thornton-Cleveleys 100% top notch all round Lovely clean bright waiting room Welcoming helpful reception staff and top of the tree thorough, friendly and competent dentist and hygienist We defiantly made the right move choosing Bupa Thornton-Cleveleys as our new Dental practise We came away feeling very confident our teeth will be well looked after and remain where they belong not in a glass at the side of the bed but in our mouths.

Fantastic experience: All of the staff are extremely helpful and make the experience a lovely one. The reception staff are very well informed and always offer as much help as you ask and more. My dentist Perri and her assistant Gemma are amazing and an absolute asset to the practice. Both are extremely knowledgeable and have made some difficult procedures much more bearable and the results have been exceptional. My experience has been so good that my partner and son are moving to the practice and we look forward to any future visits.

No pain and helpful information given on after care. Had bad experiences in the past with a horrible dentist so I am always a little nervous. But, I have no reason to be with Perri. She makes the whole process as comfortable as she can. Would highly recommend this dentist.

Positive experience: Such a shame as this surgery used to be great. Unfortunately last 2 appointments have been cancelled by the dentist and as we all know, appointments are like gold dust. Cant get back in for another 3 months. It will then have been 15 months since my 6 year old has been seen. Fantastic experience: I had the upper very back big tooth removed. It was all over within 15 minutes and I didn’t feel anything only the pressure of the clamp on my lip. Charlie was very careful and spoke to me throughout. I had every confidence in him. I’ve had seversl dentist in my lifetime and he comes as one of the top ones, and I told him so as I feel people should know if they do well.

Parvaneh, assisted by Gemma, carried out the extensive work over a couple of appointments. I was at ease the whole time. I was fully informed of my options and the team helped me make some decisions. I'm delighted with the result. Exactly what I'd hoped for.

Negative experience: Was a patient at the Cleveleys branch, it was 5 star service at this point. Made an appointment for Cleveleys in November 2023 and they asked if I was NHS which I confirmed. Even up to the day before was receiving texts about the appointment in January. Took time off work and arrived 10 minutes early to find the building abandoned. Rang Thornton to clarify what was going on as had no notification about the surgery. I was informed there had been a ‘clerical error’ that NHS were no longer dealt with and the building was closed, so was left standing in the street with no dentist. Staggeringly poor service and may still raise with equivalent ombudsman. I’m assuming every NHS patient had been treated this way in the Cleveleys area. It took 3 months to find another anywhere when I had needed treatment.

I had suffered with a tooth ache on and off for the past two weeks the staff at the surgery have been excellent 100% through out,the dentist with his assistant Liv were particularly amazing when I took the plunge and decided to have the tooth removed, I have had teeth out before so was a bit worried, however I shouldn’t have been as the dentist got the tooth out quickly with no problem, many many thanks Bupa Thornton Cleveleys for and excellent job, highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend a dentist more. My little boy had a traumatising experience at the emergency out of hours due to our dentist being closed. Rang Bupa Monday morning where they triaged and got him in the same day. My little boy was scared and really didn’t want to attend. The dentist Thomas Symm and his dental assistant were so kind to my son and took there time with him and honestly I don’t think I’ve come across a nicer dentist (apart from mine Kirsty Woodmason haha) my little boy came out looking forward to seeing Tom again for his next appointment and he even got a sticker which made his day! 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
