Fantastic experience: Popped in yesterday to sign up as a new patient. I had a tooth that had broken, no pain but it was worrying me. From the front desk to sitting in the Dentist’s chair was an absolute delight. The friendliness, the professionalism, the care….. off the scale. Witnessed some children coming out. They all had smiles. One little girl had 4 teeth removed. Not a tear in sight. Brother was fascinated, parents were happy. The Dad told me that she had teeth being pushed behind the others. I too had that as a little girl. I fully understood. Cannot recommend highly enough!! Especially for children.

The staff is friendly, my kids are always put at ease and they are very happy to visit the dentist! Negative experience: It’s disappointing giving anyone less than a positive review especially when this business helped my wife when she was in desperate need. But on reflection i can only assume this was due to the very costly procedure she had to undergo and it was in their interest. I would like to point out that Dr J Keyser was fantastic in his care and attention he offered my wife. The reason for the low score review is that the same practice has decided to strike off my autistic son, he suffers from extreme social anxiety and as such finds it very difficult to leave our home, this was explained to the practice when we enrolled. It’s a sad world when a young man cannot obtain the support and understanding that he needs instead of looking at the balance sheet, I understand every business has to make money but surely having him on your books until he can achieve some level of normal life is not to much to ask and isn’t expensive. Clearly the days of putting the customers needs first are long.

Fantastic experience: I can't praise this dental practice enough. Reception staff are always friendly and helpful and the waiting room is clean and welcoming. My teeth have been looked after by Dr Jacques Keyser for decades and I have never had a bad experience. Any treatment required has always been explained in full beforehand and carried out with great care and sensitivity. Jo Shakespeare is an excellent Hygienist, too, and between them they have ensured that I still have a lot of my own teeth! I have also seen Dr Nic Hanekom on a couple of occasions when Dr Keyser was away, and he, too, was excellent. I think we are very fortunate to have such an excellent dental clinic in our area.

Negative experience: I was referred to Aston Clinton Dental Clinic through NHS 111, fully believing that I would receive treatment as an NHS patient since the clinic is listed on the official NHS website. However, after the examination and an X-ray, I was charged £128 and I was given a treatment plan for a single tooth root canal treatment costing £836. When I raised this issue with the clinic manager, I was simply told “sorry, we do not accept NHS patients,” and that this information is stated on the NHS 111 website. However, the clinic is still listed under NHS services, which is very misleading. While the staff were polite and the clinic was clean, I left feeling disappointed and misled. I do not recommend this clinic for those seeking NHS dental care.

Fantastic experience: Delighted that a difficult root canal treatment, for which I'd been warned that I might need a specialist referral, was completed ahead of schedule and with minimal discomfort. I also appreciated that when I'd needed an urgent consultation during the previous lockdown, the clinic was still able to provide prompt and effective cover. From the moment you walk in the door, everybody makes you feel welcome, and there is a strong sense of a team all working to give you the best possible care. Thank you!

I was worried and spent 5 days pondering what to do, asking friends but mainly not smiling as nobody could then see the break. 2 friends recommended Nic at Aston Clinton. I rang up and was offered a 9:00 appointment the next day. Nic was amazing. Within 15 minutes, I was smiling again. I can't tell you how much I appreciate his professionalism, skill and expertise. Fantastic experience: I just like to say that No one is more scared of the dentist than me I can assure you that after horror stories from childhood experiences I didn’t think I could go through with this ever again but after being a patient for a few years at Aston Clinton I have been going there for some work to be done to rectify this But after a break of a few years due to a major illness some of the remaining teeth have fell into decay Having developed a abyss under a decaying tooth I was in horrendous pain and I dropped into the dentist while passing by and fingers crossed that they could help me in my hour of need and to my surprise they were able to help me straight away by seeing me immediately and prescribing some antibiotics to treat the infection these did take some time to work before the pain subsided but I also want to add that the dentist nick was still Working there who had been looking after me previously thank god he was as he’s been a great comfort to me I don’t think I could have gone back without him being my dentist Anyway the day before I was due to go back I was panicking like crazy but i need not have worried as nick help put me at ease straight away in walking into the surgery and performed a perfect extraction and was kind considerate and thoughtful throughout the whole procedure making sure I wasn’t suffering or panicking The morel of the story is that if you have any doubts or concerns or fears please put your trust in this practice to help you get through it Nick is a great dentist and a great ambassador for Portman I couldn’t recommend him enough Many thanks for your patience with me Sorry it’s like a movie script but acknowledgement Needs to be rewarded Where it’s due Thank you

Fantastic experience: The dentist was amazing and patient with me as I was a bit nervous (had a my wisdom tooth removed). She kept checking in with me throughout the procedure and I had a call a couple of days later from the receptionist to make sure I was getting on okay. Great service.

Fantastic experience: yesterday was my first visit to Aston Clinton Dental Practice, having previously been at My Dentist in Tring (which I didn't really like). The receptionist was lovely and secured me an appointment within 24 hours. I was in at 08.20 with Nic for a bit of an emergency tooth break and within 40 minutes was out with a new filling which was better than the one that was there. Professional operation and a lot less pain than I've experienced before (I appreciate my pain threshold is very low!) - v v impressed.

Negative experience: Was Not listened to and the quality of the final filling finish was poor.

Later on, you ask for an opinion on quality of treatment : surely only another professional can comment on this, otherwise the opinion of the patient is subjective. Negative experience: Could be better with NHS customers, I was private before,was all okay, I payed, was no problems. I'm on maternity now and they don't want to treat me, they lying as they don't have contacts with NHS just not to look at me and when I had emergency they asked me to fill a form as I don't have to pay. They should say not to lie and doctor Nick said I don't have anything else to be done, he didn't even check, how can he say that. It's just not fair. It's just to get rid of. Instead rather say what's the problem, not lie.
