Negative experience: I was really disappointed with my experience. The whitening treatment didn’t turn out as expected, especially considering the price I paid. On top of that, I was told I’d get a call back on Monday to book a follow-up appointment since the receptionist couldn’t schedule it at the time — but no one ever called me back. Overall, not the level of service I expected.

Fantastic experience: service is amazing, its staff are always welcoming & smiley, Mo is an amazing dentist always does a great job & listens to what the patient wants.

Fantastic experience: This is a very friendly and professional practice, but my main praise goes to Dr Mo Riaz. He is a superstar. Not only is he a highly professional, experienced dentist, but his manners and attitude are impeccable. Super friendly, approachable, great with kids, very patient. For my implant, he has been explaining everything to me every step of the way, taking time with each step, not rushing anything. We also love Magda and other assistants, who are equally helpful and friendly. A great place overall for families with children and for people who had bad experience with dentists in the past.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined and couldn’t be more pleased with the service. Every member of staff was lovely, friendly, and patient. I was treated by Mo, who helped me feel calm and relaxed despite my anxiety from past dental experiences. I’d been dealing with discomfort in my teeth for over a year without finding a solution. As a new patient, I booked in for a full check-up, which included a thorough examination, scans, and X-rays. Mo clearly explained what was causing the discomfort and what could be done to fix it. The very next day, I was booked in for a filling. The area was completely numbed, I felt no pain at all, and Mo talked me through the whole process, which really put me at ease. I honestly couldn’t recommend this practice enough!

Then book in with Violet she is all of the above and more - I didn’t once feel stressed or judged and all in all was a pleasant visit to the dentist!

Fantastic experience: Went to get my wisdom tooth extracted and couldn’t have asked for better service. From the receptionist to Dr. Karin, everyone was kind and professional. I was very nervous before the treatment, but they reassured me throughout and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The extraction was quick, painless, and they even used a laser to help with pain and speed up recovery. 10/10 experience.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to this practice for a few years and I am so grateful for Prof Sisti and her expertise. I don’t know where I would be without her to be honest. This clinic is always super friendly and the staff always ensure that patients are comfortable (most people hate coming to the dentists) but they make it so much easier. I now live in Australia, but I wouldn’t hesitate to fly across the world if I needed treatment here. Also, I have to mention that my interactions with Liwia have always been superb. She radiates such positivity, warmth and probably has better music taste than anyone reading this. All in all, I have to express my most sincere gratitude that I took the plunge, visited this clinic and began my journey to improve my oral health and appearance. Very worth the investment and I will forever be thankful to the team here.

Positive experience: Dr. Mohammed was very nice and explained the problem with my old crown; it had cracked and fallen out. He made me a new one and tried to mitigate the problems with the old one. Hopefully what he did will keep this crown intact and in place until I can get a permanent one. He also saw me on an emergency basis. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. Both Lia and Shani were great.

Fantastic experience: The best dentist I have came across in UK. I have been in pain for a week, and opted for removing my tooth, I have visited 4 different places where each of them told me that they will not remove my tooth ( £250 - £350) as they think I should do the root canal ( £500-£780). I explained to all of them that I do not have that money and I need someone to help me with the pain and the only option I can afford is extraction. Non of them have listened to me. So very stressed and hopeless I was given the number to Shirley Avenu, the receptionist has been brilliant and honest saying that even if she can not guarntee the extraction on the first visit she can reassure me that no one will force me to do root canal and she booked me an emergency visit for 8 o clock next morning with no problems. When I arrived in the morning dr. Matthew went straight to the matter giving me two options - extraction or root canal, and when I choose extraction he was happy to do it on the spot. He and the lady who was helping him was very calm and relaxed which helped me with all the anxiety around extraction. I think that even if extraction is not pleasant experience, I was literally so happy and greatfull after the procedure. He has done that in 20 minutes, done a brilliant job by removing all the tooth very well. He also only charged for the extraction ( not for the extraction and the visit as everyone else) I am over the moon, thank you guys for saving my sanity and allowing me a choice! I honestly think you were my blessing this morning! I highly recommend this place! Best wishes, Alicja! Ps. Fantastic experience: I don’t normally have good experiences with dentists but Shirley Avenue have been amazing. The first time i visited it was for an emergency appointment, was later booked in for a root canal which went well. Dentist and staff were very friendly and put me at ease. I was very happy with the care so have just registered as a new patient and had check up and hygienist appointment. Very happy with results and good pricing for the service you receive.

Positive experience: I recently had my hygienist appt last saturday for the first time in Shirley Avenue Dental Care for regular cleaning. I have permanent bonded retainer in my lower teeth so hard plaques normally builds up, using normal dental floss is barely helpful hence going to hygeinist is a must. I recently switched to this clinic as my previous dental hyeinist fee is getting expensive and I found the reviews in this practice are quite convincing. Clinic staff are all lovely and very accomodating. The environment is very clean. But my recent appt with their Saturday Hygeinist was a bit disappointing. Although the treatment is painless, I came home and check that I still have at least 50% of hard plaques in my lower teeth. :( I wasn’t happy with the result. I am not sure if thats the maximum capacity of their water scaler can do, but I doubt it as I normally have 100% plaque free reuslt from my old dental hygeinist. I already booked another appt in 6 months time, but I’m not sure if I will go back.

Fantastic experience: I have nothing bad to say about this dental surgery, I’m not a rich man it was reasonable prices. I had a consultation a X-ray and the same day had 1 tooth extracted and old roots from an old snapped tooth for £272. I hadn’t been to a dentist in over 20yrs due to awful experiences as a teenager. The staff took care of me throughout and have given me the confidence to use dentists again. Thank you to everyone who dealt with me today

Fantastic experience: I’ll admit that I’ve always been absolutely petrified of the dentist, it doesn’t help that I’ve had some very unpleasant experiences over the years. So I haven’t been for an embarrassingly long time. Pain forced me to find a dentist recently. I walked into Shirley Avenue Dental Care an absolute nervous mess, petrified and in agony. I left happy, very reassured and relaxed. The staff could not be better, from friendly reception through wonderful dental nurses to superb dentists, a truly wonderful bunch of people. They care, they don’t judge, they want you to feel relaxed and have the best possible experience. Very reassuring and as gentle as possible. I almost enjoy it, that’s just weird. Who knew it could be that pleasant to go to a dentist?

Fantastic experience: I had to find a dentist for my Autistic daughter, I found the information for Shirley Avenue, I knew this was going to be a good experience as the Practice Manager had left a brief message explaining I would be put through to one of their lovely dental nurses I spoke to probably the nicest person on the planet, I explained I needed to book an appointment for today for my daughter, I cannot remember the ladies name but she booked an appointment explained what they would do for my daughter and then what would happen next. This lady really listened and made me feel so much better, she did not rush me at all and was not trying to get me off the phone. Thank you for all your help today.

Fantastic experience: I have not been dentist in years was advised by my friend to visit these guys as have a broken tooth and have a major fear I was freaking out in waiting room bout seeing dentist then met Kevin who some how managed to keep me calm as can be thank you so much I'm even signed up for a either filling or root canal now and actually looking forward to having this tooth fixed and then extraction of a wisdom tooth which a massive deal to me but feel confident I'm in safe hands and compterble as can be.

Negative experience: By the far the most horrific dental care offered. Do not have treatment here. The staff arent directly employed and cannot tell the difference between a normal and wisdom tooth. And spent 45 minutes attempting to extract a wisdom under non clinical conditions. This unsuccessful treatment meant a return visit to have my gum cut open and the root of this tooth finally removed.. The lady dentist originally tasked to remove the tooth was inexperienced,rude,hard to understand and had little back up from her superiors. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else,iam still suffering from this 4 months later!! This matter is now also with my legal team and will update accordingly.

Fantastic experience: I am not registered here but applied for a hygienist appointment after the dentists recommendation. I had an amazing experience. As someone who is always nervous when it comes to dentists, the nurses and hygienist were so friendly and calming! They answered every question I had. The procedure was nearly painless, and I left feeling very relieved. I never thought a visit to a hygienist could be so nice.

Negative experience: Average/poor standards, prices higher than elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I desperately needed a filling and after finding out my NHS dentist had discharged me without notice (as I hadn't seen them in three years!) I decided on reaching out to Shirley Avenue. I was offered a new patient appointment within the week, followed by an appointment for the filling the week after. Cannot fault the timeliness, staff or service - highly recommend. Thank you all so much!

Fantastic experience: Today I had a regular check up with my dentist Kevin and dental cleaning with my new hygienist Anna. Very pleased with the high quality of service and professionalism. Anna made my smile even bigger after the session. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: After having an abscess treated I found this dental practice and registered straight away. I came for my new patient appointment on the 12/9/2023 and was seen by Sara who was absolutely fantastic and put me at ease after having a chat about my past experiences and fears of dentists. I came back on the 15/9/2023 for a tooth extraction and again Sara was fantastic I hardly knew she had done the job and she and the dental nurse explained everything they were doing the whole time. I would definitely recommend this dental practice thankyou Sara for putting me at ease you are fantastic.

Negative experience: It has taken me a while to post this review but today is the last straw. My husband has been in to see the dentist for a route canal 5 times now. He just keeps putting a temporary in. There was a complete mess up with appointments last time and today he turned up for his appointment as he's in agony to be told his appointment was yesterday and there is nobody to see him, however he has his appointment card which clearly states today. This dentist used to be good but god knows it's not anymore.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this dental surgery. I explained on the phone that my son is autistic and was very anxious about having a new tooth implant put on after it coming out twice over the last two years. The receptionist said she knew just the dentist to do the procedure and she was absolutely right. Mo was wonderfully reassuring, kind and proficient putting my son at his ease very quickly and building the tooth up faster than I thought possible. His assistant was wonderful also keeping him calm throughout. I cannot recommend this practice or Mo highly enough, particularly for nervous patients and children with SEN.

I have a strong "dislike" of dentists but Sara was very kind and made sure to check in with me several time throughout each visit, especially during my difficult tooth extraction. She was gentle and made every effort to not cause pain and ensure I was alright. Highly recommend (especially if you too have a "dislike" of dentists).

Negative experience: I came there with a painful tooth, the doctor took few photos and said it will need a treatment, but she didn't know what type. She gave me antibiotics and sent me home. I didn't feel treated as a patient only as a number, everything was sorted out within 5 minutes, and I paid 110 GBP :/ I understand that they go through many people but going to a detins is very stressful to some...

Positive experience: Staff continously changes, it feels like stability in that team is an issue if I am honest. I have seen a number of dentists, receptionists, hygienists , some seemed nicer and better than others.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had two wisdom teeth removed by Dr Karin. One was impacted so it took longer than usual and I was so nervous about the needles for the uppers. Karin and her team were totally reassuring, professional and they take things slowly and gently. Even their receptionist called me to talk through my worries. Their skill is just second to none. Thanks so much guys. You’re in good hands here and if you’re worried about money then you can organise a finance plan!

Fantastic experience: I went to this dentist 6 months ago and wouldn't want to go anywhere else... in the 6 months I've had a fair bit of work done by Kevin and I actually feel as if I can smile again... pricey but worth the money with the outcome.... plus I'd rather pain in the bank than my mouth.... nothing worse than toothache...!!!!

Negative experience: The Brazilian dentist who meets there is very competent and attentive. But for the terrible service I had at the one reception made me feel like a garbage my note will be 1. Remembering the dentist was wonderful

Fantastic experience: After many a bad experience at dentists I was recommended to Shirley Avenue. Feeling very nervous, and I mean nervous! I plucked up the courage to go to the first appointment with Kevin. He instantly put me at ease, at the initial appointment you have a full check up and X rays and a chat about work that needs doing including various options of treatments. I have had a tooth out, a bridge made and partial top dentures, and am happy to smile again! I would thoroughly recommend a visit, especially if like me you are so scared and have previously avoided going to a dentist.

Fantastic experience: Kevin and his assistant were fantastic. The whole procedure of having 3 fillings went very smoothly. Kevin went above and beyond with additional bits that needed to be done to my front and bottom teeth. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: Dentists, hygienists and level of dental care and practice is excellent as it always has been, unfortunately customer service is letting the practise down. Admin staff too busy with other tasks to welcome you on arrival, cannot take a moment while booking appointments/ making phone calls to acknowledge waiting customers or apologize for delays.

Fantastic experience: I Visited Shirley Dental Avenue with a tooth abscess first week of December 2021. I was amazed by the care I received. I got prescribed some antibiotics which helped a lot calming the pain. The staff; both nurses, dentist and the manager were absolutely Heaven sent. I'm really grateful.

The equipment is pretty much all state of the art and they have a number of specialist services. They absolutely do not do unnecessary work and I have been a happy patient here for a number of years.

Negative experience: My experience is that I had my appointment cancelled twice to be informed after 2 months of wait that the dentist Karin decided to not see normal patients anymore during Saturdays, only for implants. I pay monthly for the dental, paid extra for every single thing and still get a terrible customer service. Extremely unsatisfactory and disappointing EDIT: Writing a response on google just for the sake of appearance while not even contacting your customer does not make it up, just makes it even worse...

Negative experience: Dental care was fine, expensive but good. unfortunately always moved appointments about. You book and agree a time, on the day they move them, they genuinely feel their time is more important than yours. No longer a customer.

Fantastic experience: From the first visit to the latest visit, I've been welcomed and treated to a professional level from the reception staff to the dental doctors. I'm usually scared to attend the dentist, but Dr Li gave me the confidence that the procedure would be painless and gave me regular updates on how well its going. Negative experience: I booked my appointment 2 weeks in advance as a first time patient and still I waited 50 minutes to be seen. I didn't receive any explanation why I have to wait so long. The dentist took x - ray of my teeth and they had problem with the machine which cost me 15 more minutes wait. At the end I paid for this experience but no one gave me a receipt for what I'm paying for. I was so angry by their lack of good manners especially the receptionist that I left without asking for any explanation. I just wanted to leave the dental office at this point. A week later I went back to asked for receipt and to speak to a manager but she wasn't present. The receptionist told that the manager will call me. No one called me. Over all it felt like very chaotic place and very expensive for what it is.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient at the Shirley Avenue dental practice for almost 4 years now and I am SO happy that I stepped away from NHS dental healthcare to be taken care of the staff here instead. I don't like going to Dentists, but the staff here and the care I receive from them is such high quality that I book my appointment/s in advance for check ups! The building and its treatment rooms are clean and serene too There are payment plans available at affordable rates (dental bills in general can be very expensive!). I highly recommend Shirley Avenue Dental practice. The staff and their level of service delivery is exceptional.

Fantastic experience: Kevin and his team have looked after my dental needs for many years in a friendly efficient and professional way. Recently they treated me for toothache providing me with immediate attention and took great trouble to investigate the problem and explain options, which were extraction or root canal filling. Kevin carried out the root canal work and I’m now pain free and very happy with the process.

Fantastic experience: I was avoiding dentist for many many years, due to childhood trauma, but after i had some very difficult time with my bottom wisdom teeth i had to go to see dentist. After reading up and checking reviews i have decided to go to Shirley dental care and received an appointment with Dr. Kevin Gilmore. Obviously i was scared to death, having my first dental experience in a while is a wisdom teeth removal, but for my suprise it was almost absolutely painless. I received local anesthetics and even though it was a difficult operation as it took 40 minutes i was considerably fine all time. Kevin did a great job. Unfortunately i developed dry socket as i was probably not careful enough after the operation, but Kevin took care of it and helped free of charge. I am their happy customer for 2 years now. Absolutely recommended.

Positive experience: I registered with this surgery since it was the only place where they were able to help with an emergency with no intention to visit them subsequently... But they ended up being the most reliable dental surgery in the city. The only thing that disappointed me is related to the current pandemic: I expected medical personnel and specifically doctors to understand that while this pandemic is around it's better to use face masks properly, especially when speaking with customers, but their approach was rather slipshod.
