Fantastic experience: Easy the best dentist in North Shields. Samera and her dental nurse Jess make a great team. Samera, is a true professional and a fab dentist. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Fantastic experience: A warm welcome from Hazel and Lisa on reception then the dentist Sumeara and her nurse Eden made me feel at ease. They talked to me throughout the treatment, calming my nerves and allaying any fears I had. Everything was explained fully. Bupa should be proud of the North Shields team, I can't thank them all enough.

Fantastic experience: Excellent Professional service from this BUPA practice in North Shields. It’s been my Practice for over 15 years. Originally my office was in North Shields, but after Retiring 10 years ago I still use the Practice whilst living in Ryton despite having to make a two hour return journey each time I visit. My Dentist, Vimal Hathiramani has an excellent, professional and friendly nature. His clinical staff are also exemplary with their support function. Mustn’t forget to mention the Reception Team, who always start (and finish) my visit with friendly and efficient demeanour.

Fantastic experience: I have just had 2 appointments with Sumeara and Eden and they were just fantastic. I was such a nervous patient and they both put me at ease, always asked if i was ok throughout the appointment and were so gentle and patient with me. I can't recommend them enough!!

Fantastic experience: As an extremely nervous dental patient going to the dentist is something which i find really stressful. Im not even one for leaving reviews unless i really feel the need to speak out and i can honestly say what an amazing, relaxed visit to BUPA North Shields. I was seen on time, kept updated as i waited (i arrived early) and every staff member who i encountered was happy, friendly, welcoming and the atmosphere was lovely. The Dentist who my appointment was with was very gentle and totally understanding about how scared i was. The Dental Nurse in the room (Kirsty i believe her name was) made the whole experience so stress free. She kept me distracted, completely relaxed and i felt completely at ease the entire time. Such a credit to your team. I couldn’t recommend this practice enough! Thank you!

I had been waiting a long time to get an appointment after my last dentist left (who was really good and had looked after me and my children for many years. ) Sumeara and her assistant Eden where great. Very efficient and great standard of dentistry. I was not looking forward to my appointment. But it went really well with excellent pain relief. Fantastic experience: Have just been back in today for an emergency appointment with SUNEARA &EDEN yet again fantastic treatment from the initial phone call (8 am ) arrived at 11.10 for appointment and was greeted by the receptionist who had taken my call with a lovely welcoming smile I was straight in for treatment,sat down,bib and raybans on,asked how things were going,! Now this is the difference between feeling comfortable in a place you never really want to be ,my tooth was filled,after a scale and polish ,both ladies chatting away to me asking if I was ok ,and the speed and professionalism is only something I've seen on a&e on TV , painless,and extremely hygienically done with smiles and chat and a decent few tunes in the background . I was then booked in for an appointment for 3 months later without the need to go back to reception. A lot of people can forget that to not only have a surgery that can accommodate you when an unexpected tooth snaps,but to have staff like SUNEARA and Eden to make the whole process as painless and pleasant as they can and not to have to wait maybe days even weeks for an appointment,is customer care and service above and beyond Thank you all for your polite and mega efficient service WHAT A TEAM Fantastic and friendly staff who greet you with a smile, happy to chat and my dentist is superb very thorough and efficient but takes the time to ask how I'm doing . The practice has been recently refurbished looking a lot more relaxed and sterile even had the beautifully decorated Xmas tree up !! Well done and seasons get to all the staff x

Fantastic experience: Today I had to have a emergency appointment. First time I have done it private. Unfortunately I had no other option but to take it. So pleased that I did, I saw a gentleman named vimal and his dental assistant who's name I forgot, so my apologies on that. They were absolutely wonderful, caring they talk you through everything. The professionalism from them both was outstanding and I can not thank them both enough. The whole experience was a nightmare but that's just my personal issues with dentists. These people are fabulous and help ease that stress. Would I recommend absolutely I would. Vimal and team for my first time there I have to say thank you yet again. Was a canny price , but hey ho needs must when you are in agony and I was happy to pay the amount. I appreciate the time that you gave me thank you.

Fantastic experience: This morning I had my hygienist appointment with Sharon and Meg and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service I received. As someone with a fear of the dentist my mind was immediately put at ease as Sharon carefully and kindly explained the process to me and how I can best take care of my teeth moving forward.

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth extraction with Jacqueline today. She was so caring and patient with me. Thank you to her & the dental nurse. (I’ve been coming here for 4 or 5 years now & every dentist has been great.)

Fantastic experience: Dentists are normally very scary, having not been in a while and needing some work done I was apprehensive about finding a new dentist. HOWEVER, I fell very lucky when meeting Claire & Sydney! Friendly, welcoming, professional a d tentative to my care. They are wonderful people to have around in a stressful environment and make you feel at ease whilst knowing the work they carry out if of the highest standard. Absolutly faultless! Negative experience: Sitting in the waiting room absolutely horrified by the unprofessional behaviour of the reception staff. Hearing them talk about a particular patient needing his treatment and calling for a cancellation. Using his name they said, “I can’t cope with Mr D******l today.” Honestly unbelievable. The dismissive way they spoke about this man was awful but more importantly represents an absolute failure of data integrity. I’ve blanked out the name they used so as not to repeat the breach.

I absolutely hate going to the dentist as I’m pretty self conscious about my teeth but she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed throughout. Fantastic experience: Came to the practice to see Sharon for a clean and polish and I can't fault her at all. She was really welcoming and funny and very gentle. I mentioned that my wisdom tooth was really inflamed and she kindly cleaned it with some antibacterial solution which has really eased away the pain. Really lovely practice but would definitely recommend Sharon if you want a good thorough clean. Also if you go see her, you'll never forget the phrase "Sweep before you mop!"

Had a consultation with Claire Smith this morning and wow I was blown away by how friendly, caring and informative both her and the dental nurse were. I Instantly felt comfortable. The amazing customer service I receive from the dentistry on every visit now from all the lovely reception team is a testament to the core values at this location. The dental nurses who work so hard for the patients and it sometimes goes unsung I want you to know it is greatly appreciated. Also want to mention what a top quality bloke Vimal is, has treated me for years and is such great dentist. Great practice and atmosphere!

I needed an emergency appointment and they were able to offer an appointment the next day, thank you. The practice is modern and spotless. Again the receptionist was helpful and friendly when I arrived. I was called in on my aptmt time, thank you. Claire my dentist was brilliant; explaining everything and also listening to my requests and advising with care and patience. She has a wonderful way of connecting with you and helping you to relax but also I felt in safe and in extremely safe hands from the outset. She is an excellent dental practitioner and I would highly recommend. Thank you so much ☺️

Fantastic experience: As a pensioner, I have had more dentists in my lifetime than I can remember, but Vimal Hathiramani is by far the best. I have all my teeth but one (extracted long before I found Bupa Dental Care) and tolerably good gums. I have been with this dentist for many years and am reasonably certain that most or all of my teeth would have been lost but for his outstanding advice.

Fantastic experience: After not going to the dentist in years out of fear after a bad experience when I was younger, I couldn’t have felt more at ease the minute I walked through the door. Such a warm welcome from the reception staff, and then I met Claire and Sydney who couldn’t have been any more calming and understanding - my nerves instantly subsided. I have since been for some fillings and have seen the fabulous hygienist, Sharon, and every single time I have walked out with a massive smile on my face. I couldn’t recommend this dentist enough , not only is their work amazing but they’ve officially cured my fear and now I’m a happy girl with healthy teeth!

Negative experience: DISGUSTING TREATMENT MADE WORSE BY BUPA NORTH SHIELDS. Being my local dentist and being recommended to use this dentist, I’ve never ever in my life been wrongly diagnosed without someone even looking at my teeth or gums. Before Christmas I had a infection, the dentist here tells me I don’t (without looking) and they when he does look, starts prodding his tools into the infection and tells me to come back in ONE MONTH after Christmas. I then go and pay another dentist the following day who immediately gave me a course of antibiotics because of an infection. If I hadn’t of done that, I would have spent a month over Christmas in serious pain. This Dentist Vimal Hathiramani needs sacked!!!! Absolutely disgusting behaviour by him and also his nursing staff Kirsty Brennan who clearly doesn’t know what she’s talking about alongside him. I had a phone call of Sally the manager who informs me they have no more dentists available, after they cancelled my appointment one month later. Still waiting

Fantastic experience: I could not fault my experience at Bupa Dental North Shields. From bookiny my appointment through to my actual apoointment. Kirsty & Sally provided a great friendly helpfull service when booking and checking in to my appointment. Vimal as always gave a great professional yet friendly service, going above and beyond in his dental/health checks, answering all my questions. He and Jasmine the dental nurse make a great team. I would not hesitate to recommend Bupa Dental North Shields.

Fantastic experience: Need an emergency treatment for my kid and the nurse is very helpful and caring to my case. The dentist is very friendly and patient to provide immediate treatment to my kid and offer to make another appointment at the soonest for a thorough checking. Absolutely wonderful experience and thank you.

Fantastic experience: What a lovely warm welcome friendly team. I had some really bad toothache over the weekend. I thought it would take a few days to get in, but I was in that same afternoon. I have been to a few surgeries but this one really does go out of their way for you. Gillian is an absolute professional as well as an awesome sense of humour which helped take my mind off the pain. Negative experience: I do not recommend this clinic. cancel the appointment 3 times, taking into account the diseased tooth. disgusting staff. All the good doctors are long gone. If you value your time and health, avoid this dentistry

I lost a filling on the run up to Christmas , I contacted reception and was given the 27th , I was very pleased with the response , only to be contacted a few hours later and was given a cancellation on the 20th . I cannot thank Hazel enough ( reception ) and the dentist who repaired the tooth so quickly .

Negative experience: Rang this morning for an emergency appointment after having an accident at home. Been a patient here for 20 odd years when it was oasis dental care! Receptionist Tanya was awful, rude, impatient and basicly told me no appointments and to ring 111. Absolutely no empathy, patience or patient care! Disgusted as always been lovely receptionists there and dentists! Disappointed

Negative experience: Found out I was kicked off their panel I waited after the pandemic for them to text me about a check up nothing so naturally thought well they are well behind with appointments .went in to be told I was kicked out cause it was 2 years since I attended and the receptionist had the audacity to say it was my fault not only that the dentist left so I couldn't be seen any way as the other de tests aren't taking up the nhs slack .This is the same person who looks after my wife and disabled daughters teeth so they have t a dentist either shicking
