Fantastic experience: I saw Amanda the hygienist with her nurse Liv. I am a very nervous patient but they both put me at ease. I opted to have the stain removal with the air flow. It was very comfortable and the result has really made my teeth look so much brighter, I cannot stop smiling! My friend asked if I had whitening, so I have recommended it to her as it was just a small amount on top of the regular hygiene fee. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone. Great practice and service.

Fantastic experience: I am having some cosmetic work done and have recently used the dental hygienist. I have been so impressed with the care of the cosmetic dentist. She describes my treatment clearly and I feel safe and reassured by her. The receptionists are very personable and the facilities are modern and welcoming, creating a calm environment. I am feeling confident that I will get the smile I want at last .

Fantastic experience: This practice is modern, clean and patient friendly. Caring, friendly staff, who listen and explain the treatment you need. As a private practice it is rather expensive but I have complete confidence and my peace of mind is worth the expense. I would recommend this practice to nervous people.

Fantastic experience: I had my second visit yesterday at RD&IC yesterday to see Amanda the hygienist and her assistant, extremely pleased with her attentiveness and approach (i'm nervous when it comes to anything to do with my teeth). The procedure was well explained and she took moments to check i was still comfortable. I'm private so fees are a little on the expensive side, however the trade off for a clean and well presented practice along with brilliant friendly service makes it worth it in my opinion, i wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending this practice for 5 years now. With Ioanna as dentist and amanda hygenist. Work is excellent and I trust them implicitly. My teeth were not great when I joined here and not to be over dramatic but they have stabilised them now. I’ve had a lot of restorative treatment and so happy with my look.

Negative experience: I had a very upsetting experience at this dental practice. I was prescribed the wrong antibiotic for a gum infection around my wisdom tooth. As a result, my condition worsened — I experienced severe pain, facial swelling, and confusion about how to manage my symptoms. I had to go to A&E, where I was given the correct medication and told the original prescription had likely failed to treat the infection properly. This whole situation was incredibly distressing and avoidable. I’ve since requested to be removed from the patient list and for a full refund, as I no longer feel safe receiving care here. I would not recommend this practice based on my experience.

From the very first appointment (booked quickly and easily by email), I realised this place was different. I have had almost every treatment possible here—fillings, root canals, inlays, onlays, crowns, you name it—and each procedure has been handled flawlessly. Dr. Peter Susan deserves every ounce of praise. He communicates clearly at each step, making sure I understand what’s happened, what’s about to happen, and how I’ll feel afterwards. He also checks in constantly during treatment to ensure I’m comfortable and calm. If you’re nervous about dentistry, I promise you’re in the safest hands in all of Medway (and beyond). One of my favourite things about Rainham Dental & Implant Centre is that they offer late nights, which shows their commitment to their patients—perfect for anyone juggling a busy schedule. Negative experience: My review is of great concern regarding my 2nd visit to see Dr Steven Frank's it was very rushed, and considering I have a very small mouth, his rough handling of my mouth was eye wateringly painful. He had no regard for being gentle in my mouth. This man is a Dr yes....? So why could he not Perscribe me my cream for my now cracked lips. Due to his aggressive handling of my mouth. I have been a Dental Nurse and have worked with many Dentists in the past. But I have never come across a Dr who claims to know his work, who could not write me a prescription out....Not good enough. Alarm bells started to go off after we paid for the consultation fee and paid Maidstone for 3d imagery scan cost £140. I waited a few calls from his Nurse but nothing from him at all.They kept saying they were trying to find a special implant kit..My treatment started on the 31st May not able to eat since February only blended food.no calls very unprofessional, I now have a new Dentist in a better practice to address my complex needs. My new Dentist shows me respect and empathy somewhat lacking with Steven Frank's. Why could he not do my treatment......?.not qualified...? I have one word to sum my terrible appointment.....UNPROFESSIONAL.

Fantastic experience: Having recently moved into Rainham, I went to Rainham Dental Practice for a long overdue check-up and treatment. I have found everyone to be really friendly, helpful and professional. I needed a tooth extraction following a nasty infection and received good advice from both Dr Ioanna and a specialist. When extracting my tooth, Dr Ioanna and her assistant Nadiya were extremely supportive and patient. Dr Ioanna ensured I received an appropriate level of anaesthetic and the tooth was extracted painlessly. Nadiya, bless her, was doubling up as dental nurse and chief hand-holder to a very nervous client! I’m so grateful for their professionalism, skills, kindness and patience. I would definitely recommend this dental practice.

Christos is personable and clearly dedicated to his specialist work. I was very impressed too with the kindness and professional application of dental nurse Nardia throughout my two very long appointments.

Positive experience: I was recommended Unter’s dental surgery almost 25 years ago. I started with Mr Fielding, and then when he left was guided into the very safe hands of Amanda. We will never contacted by email to tell us that Unter had been taken over by Portland and have noticed the sharp rise in the prices now charged by Portland since they have taken over. Also, absolutely gutted that I cannot continue my treatment with Amanda, as she is now down to 2 days a week. Having been with her for some 10 to 12 years. It takes a great deal of time and effort to build up trust and an ability to go to the dentist without worrying because you know your dentist has 1. High qualifications and 2. Years of experience. I am Deaf and Amanda has learn’t to become very Deaf Aware, her treatments have been excellent. Too early to judge the dentist today, letting me see her lips would have been easier communication wise, as I found the wearing of the mask almost impossible to follow. As soon as Amanda has the space for more patients, I would like to be one of the first to be considered.

I went to three other surgeries just once each before finding and staying with Rainham Dental Surgery.

Positive experience: Whilst the hygienist was capable and professional, she was very patronising: as a woman in her 60's I really don't need to be given a "well done" from someone who wasn't born when I first started using a hygienist! Also, the cost of a visit has increased way beyond inflation over the last few years, £80 really is taking the mickey. This was so much better (and cheaper) when it was run as a private practice by Mr Unter.

Fantastic experience: I phoned at 7pm last night as a filling on my front tooth had come off. I had an appointment for 9am today and by 9.30 the problem had been sorted. Nandita and Nadiya were fab! They were friendly, professional and did a really lovely job! I am really pleased and sad I didn't come sooner.

Fantastic experience: As a nervous patient I have to say Kunal Datta is so calm and reassuring. I do believe my phobia has gone. Kunal is amazing, I have had extensive treatment including Invisalign treatment to straighten my teeth (wow what a difference) and teeth implants. The implants included a bone graft and sinus lift, I was a complicated case,. They look fantastic and you would never know they weren’t my real teeth they look so natural. Thank you so much Kunal and the team, I can’t stop smiling

Positive experience: Receptionist pleasant but blessing every one and each situation - small repair to my tooth expeditiously completed - culminated in a wet tee-shirt and no 'rinse' available - some time ago I had and paid for a consult for a tooth implant - to be followed up - didn't happen - mentioned this to the gentleman who had repaired my tooth - and to date still heard nothing back - the cost for the repair and free entry to the wet tee-shirt competition £145 - receptionist 'quizzed' me when I was paying asking if I hadn't had anything else ? Obviously felt my treatment was too cheap ?!

Fantastic experience: I like many have had a fear of dentist's most of my life, but I can say with all honesty that fear has gone. Today I had two fillings applied by Tulsi who was very calming with a friendly demeanour and did and amazing job. I then went to the lovely hygienist Shaila, who again was so calming and professional & brought new life to my teeth. Although I've highlighted Tulsi & Shaila as being remarkable, everyone else in the team were amazing too.

Negative experience: One of the most useless and frustrating visits to a dentist. Attended the Saturday clinic. Had a broken crown and was in a lot of pain so considered myself lucky that I could get a weekend appointment on urgent basis. After an assessment I was told ‘I can’t say for sure but it might be a root fracture’ and I obviously asked, ‘what is the next step then as I am in a lot of pain’ She then provided me with a list of treatment options (none of the treatments were in house) and when I asked which would be the best option to save my tooth? I got the astounding reply from the dentist- : “I can’t legally tell you the best option. you’ll have to choose for yourself by thinking about pros and cons”. What?? So basically choose wisely or loose a tooth-!?!? She hadn’t even told me the pros or the cons I had to literally keep probing to get some information out of the lady. All she wanted to do was to be as vague as possible and just type her notes. To top things off, she didn’t even bother facing me when asking me the history of my poor broken crown. We were back to back. Yes, facing completely opposite directions whilst I tried giving my complicated dental history. I am a doctor myself so don’t get me wrong, I am all for patient centered decision making but I’m afraid this was not at all a respectful, professional or ethical practice. I get that you are trying to involve patient in decision making, but at least guide your patient and give your specialist opinion so they feel some confidence in you?!!! What is the purpose of you being the specialist of your field if you can’t even guide the patient properly about the best possible management options and outcomes?? Imagine going to a heart doctor and getting this answer -sorry I can’t legally tell you what to do so choose wisely about your treatment or risk dying ! ‍♀️ I kept asking and suggesting and to each option the answer was ‘I can’t say for sure’ I came out more confused than ever and with a referral to another practice. Will be seeing someone else now as I don’t trust this so called consultation. That’s £120 down the drain for this overly priced consultation. Pure example of defensive medicine if I’ve ever seen one. I can’t comment on the rest of the practice staff and treatment of patients but based on this experience, I’d rather go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: I have been using this practice for more than 10 years and I have always been very satisfied by the high level of professionalism and also with their conservative approach to dental work. Consequently I've never needed more than routine check-ups and hygenist appointments. Yesterday however I suffered a failure of a tooth that had been filled by another dentist about 40 years ago and I lost almost 1/4 of a rear molar in the process. Within 24 hours the tooth was refilled and fully repaired with the missing piece of tooth skillfully refashioned and blended-in. I would not hesitate to recommend this dental practice and always tell anyone who is looking for a good dental practice to go here.

My regular dentist is Kunal Datta and can say what a fantastic knowledgeable dentist he is. I’ve just had some bridge work completed and the results are amazing. Just wanted to thank Kunal and Tracey for the outstanding work.

Fantastic experience: An emergency pain appointment with Dr Susan was excellent. He advised me of multiple options and the pros and cons of each treatment available to me. There was no pressure or stress at all and we even discussed payment options/plans should I need them. Could not recommend any more highly. Angie and Helen were lovely on the main desk and made me feel at ease in what can be a stressful situation. 10/10 will certainly return as any fear of the dentist is completely gone thanks to those mentioned above.

Negative experience: I have been attending Rainham dental for many years and have always had a good experience, I had a great relationship with Diane and trusted her completely. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about my recent experience. The young dentist I had, although very pleasant, did not inspire me with confidence. The outcome of my fillings was good, however I felt almost overwhelmed with the speed, ferocity and almost abused with her practice. I felt like she was trying to make up time and at one point I was actually hit in the face with a tool as the speed she was working was so fast. I did not feel as though care was being taken with myself as the patient or the work being done. At one time, there was so much in my mouth and it was being pulled so wide, I felt my mouth would split at the sides. I have never experienced this before and I don't plan on going back for more. I am sure she is a very good dentist and maybe experience will help her to be more empathetic to her patients in the chair and what they are experiencing. I have never felt panicky before, but I could feel panic rising. Then when I came to pay, i was absolutely shocked by the hike in prices. This confirmed to me that it was time to find a new dental practice.
