Fantastic experience: Excellent service, after phoning at 08:00 I was seen same morning, Gerry who was busy all day, seen me and took time to explain everything and made sure I was fully aware of my options, and advised what would be best. Treatment was pain free and every stage was explained which makes a big difference….. from someone who isn’t always happy to visit a dentist I can’t rate Bathgate Dental Practice high enough, from the reception area to the dentist seat I was treated with the upmost care….. they even called the next day to ensure I was pain free. ( which I now am)

Positive experience: I really like BDP and have had two very positive previous appointments. All staff in the first two visits very lovely and welcoming and really appreciated the relaxed and kind atmosphere. However, my third visit wasn't so good. My appointment was at 16:40, and due to horrendous traffic out with my control (bearing in mind I left in plenty of time for my appointment) I arrived FOUR minutes late and deeply apologized for being late (also parking outside the practice is really hard!) The receptionist turned me away saying I couldn't be seen now (4 minutes really??) and that I'd need to rebook but there's nothing til after June (other than one cancellation next week which didn't work). Surely this can't be an efficient practice rule and just adding to a huge backlog? Both of my previous appointments I waited for at least 15 minutes before being seen which really isn't a big deal as these things happen, but if you want courtesy from patients when the practice is running late then the understanding has to go both ways. I'm really disappointed. And literally typing this only ten minutes into what would have been my appointment. I was back in my car at 16:47. Dental appointments are hard to come by and it's really frustrating that this has happened. I don't feel valued, and I made every effort to be there on time, which I sincerely apologise for but cannot predict traffic when sat nav is telling me otherwise.

Fantastic experience: In my opinion the best dentists and support team in Scotland. I've been a patient with BDP for well over twenty years. Gerrard Shields is my dentist and I can't praise him highly enough. I've NEVER once had any pain during treatment and if you are at all phobic he and any of the other dentists will most certainly be able to help you. Negative experience: I have used ptactise for years The service levels have really gone down the new young staff are very racist rude towards the customer it has been over 1 year they keep cancelling appointments make you wait 3 months then call you and cancel again if you god forbid you miss an appointment they will charge you when I complained to the staff the practise sent me a letter de registration disgraceful anyone of colour or non white ethnicity please stat away from this racist place

Fantastic experience: I changed dentists from Blue Sky who only wanted to see me “if I had any pain”??? - To Bathgate Dental Practice based on a friends recommendation. I saw a dentist on my first appt, (Gerry) and he had a treatment plan drawn up on that first visit. Yesterday was my first and dreaded visit to the hygienist (based on my previous dentist, I never ever had a pain free hygiene appt - they always rushed and I was in pain for days afterwards). But Kelly-Anne at Bathgate Dental Practice was lovely. She was understanding of the painful experiences from the previous dentist and calmly went about the scale & polish perfectly and pain free . No bleeding for days after, no pain afterwards (like I always had with the previous dentist) and an appt already booked in for my next hygienist appt in 6 months. Highly recommend Bathgate Dental Practice, especially to anyone who was as terrified of the hygienist as I was. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ xxx

The dental nurses are very friendly and always acknowledge you with a smile and a 'hello'. The dentist herself, Kata, is lovely and caring and I felt at ease immediately, because of Kata's lovely, kind attitude towards me and others. My whole experience at this dental practice was very positive and I would urge anyone, especially people who are nervous, or have a fear of dentists to book an appointment at this practice where they will be put at ease and treated by professional, competent friendly staff ❤️
