Fantastic experience: Having always used NHS dental services, in April I decided to go private at the suggestion of my own dentist as he was unable to offer an implant replacement for a damaged root canal, which was what I wanted. Gosforth surgery welcomed me, introduced me to their dental hygienist which I'd never been offered to use with NHS as the dentist always cleaned my teeth. Gosforth have greatly improved my personal dental care , I now have regular visits to the hygienist, they have enabled me to start the treatment to have the implant but most important have treated me with kindness and care especially when I felt I'd not been looking after my teeth correctly for so long, and my teeth are loving it too.

Fantastic experience: I’m a bit of an awkward case because of an existing medical condition, so I went in to have a confidential word with the receptionists first, to make sure that the appointment would be right for me. I need not have been worried: they were understanding, practical, extremely helpful and astonishingly professional throughout. When I later met the calm and gentle dentist who examined my mouth and gave me personalised advice, I felt absolutely confident that I was in safe hands. Thank you, great team!

The treatment plan I was given was clear from start to finish and it didn’t change . The results have been amazing ! Kat and Ahmed have made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout and I could not have wished for , or imagined a better experience . Ahmed is a highly skilled dentist , extremely professional and a true gentleman . Kat is highly professional and has excellent communication skills as well as a very warm kind and friendly manner . Fantastic experience: Had to book an emergency dental appointment as was in extreme pain and my own dentist had no available appointments. Visit was quick, professional and extremely helpful. (Ended up with an extraction, but all process very well explained and options outlined.) Would recommend!

Negative experience: I had a disappointing experience with this dental clinic. After reaching out via email as requested, I was told about a pre-assessment fee of £85 and a resin repair cost of £195. When I called back, the appointment slot they initially offered was already taken. This felt quite unprofessional. Moreover, the prices are exorbitant, especially considering the brief time spent with the dentist, as my wife experienced during a previous visit. It's disheartening to see such high ratings for a place that seems to prioritize fees over patient care. Despite having insurance, I prefer to seek care elsewhere. I cannot recommend this clinic.

Always have been able to get appointments both routinely and for emergencies (such as issues with wisdom teeth) and are now bringing our 10m old daughter in for check-ups. Brilliant service for the whole family. We must also make a special note of how great Gosforth Dental Surgery have been at accommodations for Mark who is registered blind, with staff meeting him on the High Street when he gets lost and guiding him around the surgery for his appointments.

I joined this Dental Surgery in June 2022 after not being able to get appointments with the practice I was at and tried other dentists to no avail, then I found Gosforth Dental Surgery on an online search. I had read the reviews and as I needed help! I gave them a call and booked an appointment. From the very start great experience, I feel very lucky to have found them and to be accepted. Fantastic experience: Was told by another dentist that 2 of my teeth were beyond saving and needed extracting. Decided to come to gosforth dental for a second opinion and to see about getting an implant in their place. Although I wasn't suitable for an implant they have actually managed to save both teeth instead! I've recieved treatment from two dentists at the clinic, ferdi chum and hisham elsayed. Both have given me a superb level of care through out the treatments. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: "first time at a private dentist. What a big difference. Time spent making sure I understood the diagnosis and explained the process going forward. The dentist ferdi offered to do part of the treatment that day as was in pain in one area. Everything was done to the gold standard. I was expecting a quick fix but the full filling was done using extra steps to help the longevity of the tooth. I never understood why prices vary but seeing the dentist and all the different materials and gadgets used I am now a convert and will definetly will be continuing my treatment here. The reception team were fantastic and a special thanks to dentist ferdi and nurse claire for being calm and friendly with exceptional treatment.

Fantastic experience: Having not been to the dentist in (quite a few) years, I was really concerned I'd be sent on my way as soon as I walked in but that was far from my experience. From registering on the phone to coming into the practice, I've been very impressed with how professional, friendly and understanding the staff and dentists are. You can never forget your appointment you are sent confirmation, reminders and a courtesy call which is also really helpful. Worth the 5 stars for sure!

I had a checkup and minor filling, followed by an appointment with the hygienist. This was my first visit to the dentist in a long time, I was made to feel at complete ease and given first class service. I would just like to say I am one very very anxious person when visiting the dentist , however, from walking through the door , the reception staff were really lovely and welcoming . I would also like to say Hisham , my Dentist , and Claire have been absolutely amazing in making me feel really at ease and comfortable through out my recent treatments, continually giving reassurance throughout . Everything has been explained to me at length with regards to my treatment and every opportunity to ask questions , and have been encouraged to get in touch if I have further queries outside of my actual appointments at the surgery. I’m terrified of going in, sitting in the chair but Alex my dentist understands me and explains things slowly and clearly and will,always stop during surgery so I can gather myself together. When you live abroad and you have to see a doctor, it can be scary because of the risk of misunderstanding or because you are not able to express yourself perfectly. I have never had any issue, they actually took their time at each appointment to explain everything to me, so I could understand. Everybody is kind, welcoming and willing to help. They send you reminders a month and a week before your appointment so you cannot forget! Easy to accommodate any change, if there is space available. I am recommending them to everyone. Fantastic experience: I am a dentist myself. I first became aware of Dr Ferdi Chum through Instagram and I can tell you from a dentists own point of view that he is an exceptional dentist. I have many friends and colleagues who are award winning dentists but I would only trust Ferdi with my own teeth. I travelled from Wales to Newcastle to see him. He did composite filling treatment under rubber dam for me and the procedure was gold standard from start to finish. Ferdi is an outstanding dentist who deeply cares and takes great pride in providing exceptional dental care for his patients. He is obsessed with doing things perfectly, not compromising in any way, any material, any measure at all. You can imagine I have high standards from my own dentist but Ferdi exceeds them all. Thank you so much Ferdi and to his very attentive nurse and reception staff also.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with this dentist. Had emergency appointment to have tooth removed, Dentist was unable to remove so filled the tooth. Tooth is now troublesome again, they still want another £125 to remove the tooth!!!! So much for their motto ' we aim to provide a service second to none '. Double check their policy before parting with your money!

I chipped my composite bonding on my front tooth on a Sunday, I called the dentist on Monday mooring and they managed to get me seen on Monday afternoon. The dentist was amazing and fixed the composite on the same appointment and it actually looks so much better than it did originally.

Fantastic experience: I emailed the practice outside of opening hours very early this morning. I am so, so nervous of the dentist! They were very prompt in calling me as soon as they opened and gave me an appointment for 12.00. I was so impressed with the efficiency and the wonderful manner of Leanne and Charlotte. They reassured me that I would be fine and did everything to calm me down. I attended my appointment and had a wonderful consultation with the dentist Alexandra who knew I was nervous but explained everything so clearly with understanding. Fantastic experience: I called the practice looking for an emergency appointment very late on in the day. There were none available but Leanne was able to hear in our conversation the level of pain I was suffering and after half an hour they had managed to find space to fit me in for an emergency extraction. The Dentist Nicola was great and so patient with me and listened and took things at my pace. Definitely a dentist I will be returning to for my routine dental needs.

Fantastic experience: Best dental surgery I have ever been to. My regular dentist couldn't extract a fractured tooth and I was referred to the Dental Hospital, for a surgical extraction. As well as loosing my referral at the dental hospital there was also an 8 month wait! Luckily I found this place and Nicola had the necessary expertise in Facio Maxillary work and could do a surgical extraction. Exemplary.

I broke my tooth and they were able to register me and fit me in so quickly, not to mention I have never been a big fan of the dentist so had been avoiding even regular checkups for a long time but all of the girls made me feel so looked after at my visit. The girls at reception were so approachable and chatty and the dentist and dental assistant (Nicola and Alex I think were the names) made me feel so at ease. Prices are extremely reasonable for the care provided, upon first glance they may seem a bit high but I cannot fault the experience at all I would pay it twice over. Will definitely be booking regular checkups here.
