Fantastic experience: This was my second appointment with Mimi my dentist. I can honestly say that Mimi was friendly, very professional, kind and compassionate. As were both dental nurses. Today I had my wisdom tooth extracted I can't say it was a pleasant time but I felt safe knowing I could trust the staff and Mimi managed to remove it all. Also I hadn't eaten breakfast being diabetic I took the shakes and Mimi produced a dextrose to help me.

Extremely well run dental practice and for the first time in my life going to dentists I feel more at ease about trusting the dentist, and the work which I need done. Fantastic experience: I moved from Northern Ireland to Scotland a few months ago. In Northern Ireland I had one dentist practice for 31 years and when I moved to Scotland I chose Peterhead Dental and Implant Centre immediately and after today's treatment, they are the absolute best practice in the whole of UK! After years of treatment in Northern Ireland I was scared to see what treatment in Scotland would be like and couldn't believe that I walked out of that treatment room with no pain, good mood, feeling good about it all, not feeling down, the treatment was better than I ever expected. Owen is by far the best most gentle, caring and understanding dentist I have ever experienced. If you do decide to go with peterhead dental, from my own personal experience and years of anxiety and fear of the dentist, you won't regret registering with them! Also of peterhead dentist see this, you all are amazing and I'm grateful for the kindness and amazing work you all do and my name I'm posting under is different from my registered name but thank you all for such a brilliant experience!

Fantastic experience: Raymond and colleagues performed an amazing root treatment for me on a very calcified lower left 6. It took 2 treatments to remove the pulp. The inlay is taking a bit of getting used to but small price to pay as I’m now pain free and can now chew on my left side again. Great job team Raymond.

I am not a fan of visiting and dentist but due to my guzzling of fizzy pop and sugar when I was younger I now need to be friends with the dentist as my teeth say goodbye. Mahmood was inviting and extremely knowledgable to my option now and in the future. I find some reassurance is my experience and will be back again very soon for more than just a chat and X-ray. For anyone with issues climbing stairs we were in room 7 and there are quite a few stairs.

Fantastic experience: I'm extremely happy with our dentist Mimi. She exceeded expectations by dealing with our child fear. Peterhead Dental and Implant Centre has very short waiting time for appointments which is crutial and really makes difference in this town.

Positive experience: Excellent dentist Mr Mamoud Aboud (sp?). Friendly, smiling, easy to talk to which is important. I'd give more stars but there was a bad vibe in busy reception. The lady in the middle great, but to one to the left as you face the counter, less so. Rather rude and unpleasant. Perhaps she was having a bad day, but could do with some etiquette training on how to treat customers. After you have given your name on entering, to confirm appointment, filled in all forms, and correctly signed in, she should not be shouting right across a crowded reception "WHAT'S YOUR NAME,!" I wasn't sure if she was shouting at me! She was. Manners! That said, it might have been a one off, and I would recommend you give them a try. Especially in these days of NHS dentist shortages.

Positive experience: Not overly impressed. Dentist was half hour late for my appointment. Luckily im not overly anxious but someone who was worried or plucked up the courage to attend may have left. Once in chair the prep took some time stretching mouth getting brace in and covered with rubber thing,which was quite concer ing for me due to trauma as a child. He didn't explain what he was about to do/doing. I believe the dentist had a cold. Coughing and spluttering over patients yes had a paper mask over mouth. At every break having to blow nose. No handwashing etc. I was in the chair for an hour , to be told I need to come back in 2 weeks time and their will be an element of pain. Then will be another.hour.to finish procedure . So not a great experience today

Negative experience: Nice gentleman, but felt that appointment was very rushed and that check up wasn't 100% done. Other than checking gums and telling me they were receeding, which is common at my age, and strong teeth, all my teeth were fine. Also my choice not to have crown fitted on broken tooth for now. During my entire life, a dentist has alway checked that no cavities (all teeth sprayed with, I think, cold water) and checked with a dental scaler. And have always had a scale and polish done there and then, or to make appointment for one. But that was never mentioned. Overall, was a bit disappointed.

Negative experience: Following my original review and the clinic’s public response, I feel compelled to provide an update based on how I’ve been treated since. My first review aimed to be balanced, I acknowledged the positives while raising concerns about pressure-selling and poor communication. The response I received appeared thoughtful on the surface but ultimately felt superficial and insincere, more about deflecting criticism than taking genuine accountability. The reply suggested someone would follow up with me directly. No one did. After sending three emails chasing a £110 refund, I received no response, until I sent a general enquiry from another email address. Only then did I get a voicemail asking me to call the clinic. When I phoned the next day to ask about my refund, I was told I’d need to come in person, and that the practice manager wanted to speak to me first. I agreed to be available for a call the next day at 12:00. I rearranged my work schedule — but no one called. Unable to wait further, I visited the clinic in person the following day. The reception staff were polite and professional, but clearly uncomfortable with the situation. I was again told the refund couldn’t be processed until I spoke to the manager, who wasn’t in, but would call me “imminently.” After waiting approx 10 minutes, I had to return to the desk and express my frustration. A call was finally made, and the manager (Tim) phoned me. The conversation didn’t inspire confidence. He began by asking me what the call was about. I explained I just wanted the refund and reminded him he had missed the agreed call time. He initially denied this, then changed his story, saying something urgent had come up. At that point, I no longer believed I was being dealt with honestly. He also asked which dentist I’d seen, I told him that should be in my notes. Eventually, he authorised the refund, which was then processed at reception. I received another call from a withheld number during the refund process, presumably from Tim, but I haven’t heard from him since. In short, this has been my worst experience with any dental practice. From the pressure to accept high-cost treatment at the first appointment, to being ignored over multiple refund requests, and finally being made to jump through hoops just to get money returned, the entire process was needlessly stressful and deeply unprofessional. I’ll be registering with a new practice, and based on my experience, I’d strongly recommend others do the same. “Smile Centre” feels like a misnomer, perhaps “Frown Centre” is more accurate.
