Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant dental service. Great for anyone with fear or anxiety about the dentist. Reception staff are so helpful and lovely and friendly. The dentist i seen 'mary' was fabulous at keeping me calm and keeping me informed of what she was doing. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My family have been attending this practice for a long time now and I honestly cannot fault them. The staff are SO friendly and have always gone above and beyond with the care they have provided us. In high recommend them !

Fantastic experience: We were visiting Derry and I developed an abscess under a tooth . We phoned various dentists who were not interested in assisting. The team at Bupa Derry were lifesavers . From reception ( a nurse ) they showed real concern and fitted me in the same day . Not sure what we would have done otherwise . Thank you very much . I’d thoroughly recommend .

Negative experience: Been a customer for 4 years, arrived 5 minutes late to an appointment and stood at counter for 10 minutes listening to receptionist chat. Was told if I was over 10 minutes late they couldn't take me, but I had been waiting to talk to receptionist after only being a few minutes late. Receptionist was rude and admonished I'm tone. Said I didn't arrive within 10 mins despite standing there in her eyeshot for quite some time. While I was not there at exactly 11am, I won't be coming back for another appointment. The first time in the time I've been attending appointments here I've been treated so poorly.

Fantastic experience: Bupa Dental Care Derry is located on Queen's Quay, the staff are very professional in looking after everyone, and make you feel relaxed when you go in and also upon the completion of your treatment

Fantastic experience: My dentist Cara and her assistant were absolutely amazing today, I was in for quite a long and uncomfortable treatment and they made me feel so at ease, explained everything to me and helped me through. I unfortunately have had bad dental experiences in the past but since coming to Bupa Derry I am so happy with my treatment from receptionists to dentists there all fantastic.

Fantastic experience: First time patient and very happy with the first check up and service received. Alex the dentist did a full first check up including a scan (which was a first for me) and took the time to explain everything to me and answered all my questions. Ciara at reception was also really friendly and was happy to talk me through all the benefits of the smile plan that I had signed up to. :)

Fantastic experience: I've been with Bupa Dental Care Derry now for a few months and the level of treatment I have received has been excellent. All the staff I have dealt with have been keen to help and supportive throughout any treatments. The location is very handy too with the availability of parking in the multistorey and the proximity to the city centre, just a short walk along the quay.

Fantastic experience: A calming environment awaits with exceptional staff who are attentive, efficient and understanding. The processes are explained and discussed prior to commencing and no matter what your condition you are treated in a kindly and caring manner. As a previous’Dentaphobe’ I now look forward to my appointment and this is solely to the manner in which all the staff present themselves and their interactions with patients. Never thought I’d say, but a wonderful experience.

Negative experience: They've been my dentist for several years now and up until today i had nothing but good words to say. Today however upon arriving for treatment I was told that I was not able to be seen as I was too heavy for the chairs. This wasn't a problem when i was seen 3 weeks ago and they had my weight on record then. It hasn't been a problem for the years before where my weight has been on record but suddenly today it was an issue and i was told that they could no longer see me "for my safety". It makes me question if this is for my safety why it wasn't an issue in the past especially as i've been losing weight recently and this is (while still overweight) Is the lowest i've been in years. Absolutely awful feeling to have this dropped on me after years at the same dentist and all this after waiting the better part of a year just to get a routine appointment for a checkup because my old dentist left.

I had to have two teeth removed and Mary the dentist made me feel at ease as I was so nervous. She really took the time to explain everything and even took the time to ring me the next day to check up on me. Thank you from a very happy patient.

Fantastic experience: Sadly my dentist has now gone private. Hes good but Im not sure if I can afford the extra cost. Id like to stay there under Hhs and part private if it's possible.

Fantastic experience: My experience has been very good for myself but my son who is a lapsed patient cannot get an emergency appointment for himself.

Negative experience: I'd been using this surgery since it opened more than ten years ago and had no issues. However, I was in pain a few days ago and phoned to request an appointment. I was told that my dentist no longer treated NHS patients (I'm a paying patient, by the way) and that I would have to pay for private treatment. They said that this decision was made in April and that a letter had been sent to me. I received no such letter. I asked if I could be seen by another dentist within the practice and was told that I could but it would also be as a private patient. That was 5 days ago, I'm still trying to find a dentist. Duty of care does not seem to be important to them.

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been using Bupa for a few years now. Today, my youngest had to get a little work done. Ellen (the dentist) and Imelda (dental nurse) were amazing with him. They eased his worries and explained everything in child talk so that he would understand what they would be doing to him. They let him look at the equipment and feel it on his arm and listen to the sounds. When working with him, they dis little count downs and continually praised him and encouraged him. Fabulous experience for both of us as he was so worried before he went it. Thank you to both these amazing ladies.

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend dentist Marty Higgins and dental nurse Shauna who were excellent and provided some very reassuring advice regarding concerns about my dental health. The practice was excellent from friendly staff to being very accessible.

Negative experience: Really wouldn't recommend. Had approached trying to get any necessary work done on my teeth after some time travelling etc. Dentist recommended I get total of 6 drillings leading to fillings/"closures". Closures a term my new dentist doesn't even recognise. Clinic wouldn't give more than short appointments and this limited anywork done. Thankful for this now as the two fillings the dentist did have now fallen apart despite being really well cared for (one was too high and the other is too low and drilled to near a nerve aswell carelessly). New dentist determined I don't need anymore fillings and the dentist was over zealously looking to drill out bits of naturally discoloured tooth with no need. would have compromised loads of teeth for no need at all.Receptionists don't have a clue about GDPR and try create as many barriers as possible for retrieving records. Don't recommend at all. Update to add. my filling (that I didn't even initially need) compromised the integrity of my tooth resulting in a cracked tooth, further hundreds in dental work and further xrays revealed the dentist here left gaps in the tooth and did the filling in several parts so poor work all around. definitely wouldn't recommend. dentists here are likely self employed and definitely interested in inflating your costs for profit.

Negative experience: Been with this surgery for years and I’ve finally had enough. The cleaning I just had was akin to torture. 1 minute of shoving a drill around, no care, no polishing. Id been told she was behind in her day. Which makes sense as they have too many patients.

Fantastic experience: I had my two children in for a check up today with Margot. They had so much fun and Margot was brilliant with them. She has the patience of a saint and she is an asset to her profession. Thank you for making their experience enjoyable and interactive. I don't think they'll ever forget it

Fantastic experience: I recently had to have a tooth removed and was very nervous but I was very surprised by the treatment I received from a lovely lady called Cara. She was so friendly and understood how nervous I was and put me at ease straight away. The procedure was quick and as Cara promised I didn't feel a thing. I was so delighted that I want to recommend Cara at Bupa dental care.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusted with this practice not even worth one star . Been in agony for months now with broken and over sensitive teeth been to see them two weeks ago they did nothing but to see I get referred to another practice for extraction. Needed a tooth extracted today 21/6/21 gave me an appointment on the 30th . What sort of dentists let's a patient wait in severe pain for 9 days to get a tooth extracted. Would not not recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited the practice to have aesthetic work done by Jane & Emma. I have always been very apprehensive about visiting the dentist but from the minute I stepped into the surgery everything was perfect. I explained to Jane what I had in mind in regards to my smile, she talked me through the options available and we agreed a path forward. Throughout the course of the treatment everything was explained clearly as to what was going on and why. The results that Jane achieved were fantastic and beyond what I had in anyway expected. The total price of the treatment in comparison to the final results was incredible! Thanks again Jane & Emma.

Fantastic experience: I attended an appointment today a bupa dental. The service was brilliant from start to finish. Alex and Nicole were amazing from answering queries, providing great advice and also explaining every procedure that was carried out. Fantastic experience: A couple of weeks ago, my fiancee was in so much pain because of a broken tooth. After two sleepless nights, he managed to get an appointment with a dentist in this practice. He was treated by a very experienced and considerate dentist called Alex and he came back home smiling. I could not believe it: pain free, able to sleep, able to eat. My fiancee was so impressed by the calm, professionalism and kindness of this dentist that he convinced me to switch my GDP to him as well. Thank you again Dr Alex! Fantastic experience: I had a trip to Bupa on Thursday! I was so pleased with the service I got from all the team ! The girl (sorry I don’t know her name) who did my Covid checks was so welcoming and bubbly it was lovely to see ! I was seen by Jane and Emma who did an absolute amazing job they kept me calm as I’m not the biggest fan of the dentist. I was apprehensive going in as I thought my tooth was unfixable! Jane talked me through excatly what she was doing and what could happened while working at my tooth. They did an absolute amazing job and I’m never so thankful for both of them. I would highly recommend bupa after my first proper appointment with them of Thursday !!

Negative experience: Not professional doctors. Unable to put a simple filling, it fell 7 times, afterwards the clinic began to demand money for extra visits.
