Ochilview Dental and Oral Surgery

Fantastic experience: I have had a wisdom tooth which has been causing me trouble for a while now. My dentist referred me to Ochilview who were quick to contact me and set a date for coming in. The whole process was so smooth! Everyone is so welcoming and friendly and its such a nice atmosphere. Everything was explained to me very thoroughly and the removal of the tooth was so quick. The surgery itself is cosy and warm and spotless. I would recommend Ochilview without hesitation. P.s some great music during the procedure too! Little touches like that make it a relaxing environment especially if you're feeling nervous.

Fantastic experience: I cannot explain how much I cannot stand going to the dentist. I was stressing about it all week and went in today for my appointment. I was a week early . However, because I had an infection the very kind dentist still saw me. He cleaned out the tooth, filled it with a temporary filling and prescribed me antibiotics. All eventhough I had mid-remembered my appointment. I hope that this is the positive change I needed to get over my fear of the dentist. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Staff are courteous and make you feel at ease. X rays taken then the dentist explains everything about your teeth and gums to you on the screen. I feel very comfortable when visiting the surgery and have confidence in the dentist. Have also visited the hygienist. She was very informative explaining the procedure. Once again I had all confidence whilst being treated.

Fantastic experience: After being with the same dentist my whole life, I decided to move to Ochilview and I’m so glad I did. I had my first check up today and everyone was lovely. The dentist was really helpful and even managed to do a full scale and polish within my appointment which saved me having to come back.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Dr Giresh for sedation due to my high anxiety. He was brilliant and I ended up with no sedation and no pain. I appreciate him being conservative rather than just going ahead. I've even gone back with Dr Tsai and had an even greater experience with him. Love these dentists!

Dr Bharadwaj did a great job with what turned out to be a bit of an awkward job and, which I really appreciated, he kept me informed of what he was doing throughout the process, as well as being good humoured (which always helps). 2 thumbs up.

Fantastic experience: I was so pleased to have found this dentist to sort out a problem with my wisdom tooth. Very fast appointment for the check up and also offered to do the treatment that very same day. First class dentist and I would highly recommend

Negative experience: Extremely poor hygiene practises within the surgery and dental practitioners unfamiliar with their practice equipment and protocols. I was in today for an appointment to have a temporary cap fitted on a front tooth, after having a difficult conversation with both the dental nurse and assistant as to what my appointment was for between them they decided to take an X-ray of the tooth in question. Firstly the dental assistant dropped the X-ray film on the floor, proceeded to pick it up and place it back in the holder with a view to put it straight into my mouth until I asked him if he was going to clean it or get a new one, he then gave it a cursory wipe with an antibacterial wipe and was ready to place it in my mouth to which I asked I he was happy with this practise. They then replaced the film with a new one, the dental nurse sorry therapist as she said took a few attempts to place the fitting in my mouth the wrong way and on the third attempt got it the correct way round. After struggling with the actual x-ray camera the dental assistant then stepped in to set it up correctly. After taking the x-ray the dental therapist then questioned with difficulty again as to what my appointment was for. At this point I walked out and asked for an appointment with the previous dental nurse I had seen at the practise previously who was a little better. After today’s visit we are now looking for another dentist in West Lothian/ Armadale/Bathgate preferably but only on recommendations.

Fantastic experience: Went for a consultation today and I was extremely happy with how it went. I felt so at ease and less anxious for the first time in many years. Highly recommend as staff and dentist are all very welcoming and understanding of my phobia.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend this practice , I am quite nervous about dentists but read all reviews so I was quite impressed . I joined last week for a consultation the nurse was lovely explained things to me , so had app yesterday 3/7/25 saw the Dentist and the dental nurse two guys , they were both lovely explains what I would need done so app for next Thursday. I have never been to a dentist’s where they make sure you are comfortable relaxed and at ease. , and believe me I’ve been to a few . I would not hesitate to recommending this practice .

I have a real fear of dentists and visibly shake when I have to go. Dr Devika Panicker is patient and professional, would highly recommend anyone who is nervous about dentists to book with her.

Fantastic experience: My husband attended last week for the removal of two teeth, and the staff were very good with him, when he was quite nervous. He got up stitches in both of the removals, at a very minimal amount of bleeding afterwards, and recovered well too Highly recommended practice for their patient and understanding staff

Negative experience: Stuff very nice and welcoming. I had an appointment today wasn't happy as this was an emergency appointment. The dentist (i dont really know her name) don't think she was a dentist or a training dentist did my ex Ray, check. Spent there 50mins, she was walking around me asking questions etc. The lady at the reception desk told me it will take 15mins but I have been there for 50mins! I was 10mins late for the school run. I left the dentist building with the same bad pain of my tooth without no help. I dont think I will come back again. I'm disappointed after this appointment

Within the first few appointments, she sorted out some dental things that had been affecting my confidence for years, despite my previous dentist leading me to believe there wasn't anything I could do about it. Each visit, I leave feeling more confident and happy with my smile. Absolutely recommend 10/10

Fantastic experience: Was reffered for oral surgery to have impacted wisdom removed. Staff were absolutely lovely made me feel so welcome and relaxed knowing I was nervous. All went really smoothly Dr Girish Bharadwaj did an excellent job.

Fantastic experience: Attended Charlie the hygienist, (who was lovely and put me at ease immediately) I had the air treatment, which was fantastic. Best hygienist visit I have ever had. I have sensitive teeth and there was no pain/sensitivity at all. Previously had 2 teeth surgically removed here also. Staff are all so professional and welcoming and care about your needs and previous experiences.

My only small criticism was that I was unclear about the charging structure. Was the first consultation included in the total cost or in addition? I hadn't had costs explained to me. Dentist explained treatment and pricing before the filling was replaced. No pain or issues. Back out the door within 20 minutes. Just a pleasure going to this practice.

Negative experience: !! Wouldn’t recommend !! Receptionists are rude and very unprofessional. Seems to be little to no communication from dentists through to reception either. The actual dentists aren’t much better either. Not very understanding with patients. Mis treated on two seperate occasions. Don’t tell you prices for any treatment. Dentist arguing with colleague over holidays in plain sight of the waiting area. Very unprofessional. Wouldn’t recommend here if you want clear advice and treatment. Will not be back!!
