Fantastic experience: Got a quick appointment and when I arrived I didn't have to wait long. Birol the dental therapist was very professional and I was extremely pleased with the results
Negative experience: The only reason I post this is to save anyone else from going through the long period of persistent pain and trauma I went through as a result of choosing this dentist surgery. If I prevent one person from going through what I have, then this review has fulfilled it's purpose. For your health, please do not become a patient of Haritima Kahol. She made my painful tooth much much worse by drilling and filling unnecessarily. I gave plenty of chances, went back and complained of extreme pain for months, lost weight from not eating. No help. Told it will go away. It didn't go away, I had to have it fixed and the filling replaced by another dentist surgery. I subsequently reported her to the General Dental Council who sided with me and recommended that I pursue legal action. Even if you can discount this, she hardly spoke - even throughout procedures, even after being asked questions about the procedure. When I did ask questions she seemed more confused than I was about her own answers. She is blasé even when I pleaded for any explanation for, or help to relieve the persistent pain she put me in. She proved she does not care about her work or her patients at all, and based on my experience, will charge you for damaging your health, performing surgery that is unnecessary. I was sent a weak and annoyed reply to my complaint sent via the Dental Complaints Service. This was even after I gave many more opportunities than most people would, to explain or fix, or help me, before I decided to send a complaint. Again, at the time of crisis the only option I was given, was a couple of sentences saying the only option of recourse would be for me to arrange an appointment with a specialist endodontist that she was friends with, which would cost me thousands of pounds and not be covered by the NHS. In the end, after having my new dentist look at it, he managed to fix it and remedied all pain. Strange how I didn't actually need that specialist friend of hers to do invasive and dangerous surgery for thousands of pounds, and yet that was her recommendation. Separate to this, I was told I should have a hygienist appointment, to which I agreed. Then was asked if I wanted the normal, or a longer appointment, for a higher cost of £55. I wanted the best for my health, so paid significantly more money for the longer appointment, then on the day I was treated to the standard 15 minutes and not the length I paid extra for. I had to remind them, to which they agreed to give me another short appointment for free another day. I came back for that appointment and they asked me to pay again said they didn't know what I was talking about and had to explain it to the receptionist and get the dentist to explain. It's all a joke. Don't be fooled, there is nothing of substance behind the newly refurbished office and attractive decor. Ms. Kahol needs to know she can't do this to someone and then have it forgotten about. My hope is that now you, the reader are fully informed of what she is capable of doing. Please stay away, go anywhere else. For the sake of your health you deserve much better. (I have re-posted this as they had my review removed somehow, I have not exaggerated anything here so they have no right to remove it.)

Lovely to see great service since they have taken over the practice. They have worked hard to repair the poor service experienced previously. Would recommend you give them a try.

Negative experience: Awful dentist , you will always wait at least 50 minutes for an appointment. Despite booking an actual appointment. The manager (where to start) takes teams meeting calls on reception, belittles other receptionist frequently . Makes personal calls from reception. Then makes phone calls regarding docking useless staffs pay and wishing HR would fire them , whilst every patient can hear from the waiting room. This women is a Bully from what I can see and should not be employed as a Manager. These sort of conversations, even if necessary should be private.
Fantastic experience: I rang for an emergency appointment and spoke to Tony on reception who was very polite and efficient and got appointment the same day . I was seen by Kinza the dentist and her assistant who were both very professional and polite. I would highly recommend.UPDATED REVIEW This practice has deteriorated significantly since I wrote this review, I rang last week explaining that I had problems with a tooth that I wanted removing and the receptionist told me they had no one qualified for extractions until the end of November and this was last week of October also it’s very difficult to get through on the phone . Shall go elsewhere

Fantastic experience: This practice has excellent clinisions I highly recommend the staff are amazing if you’re worried or you’re scared or you have a fear of Dentist they’re here to help you. Please go and see them. They make me feel welcome reassured and I will be back again.
Negative experience: Awful practice. I have reported them to the CQC (Care Quality Commission) I was so worried about the standard of care and hygiene. And don’t even get me started on trying to get an appointment. I spent two separate occasions on hold for 40+ minutes. One of which I could hear all the peoples details checking in. Pretty sure that’s a breach of patient confidentiality. Avoid this place at all costs. I have just signed up for a new practice. Glad to never have to go back here. A dirty practice which is unsafe

Negative experience: This Dentist never seems to actually have a dentist. The place is dirty and is impossible to contact by phone. I do wonder how trading standards have not been to visit. Unprofessional staff who don’t seem to have a clue what they are doing. My husband had to wait over 2 months for an extraction only to be told it’s going to be the end of October as they don’t have a dentist because the dentist they did have is on maternity leave which is rubbish cause they never seem to actually have a dentist that is consistent. The place is badly run and just simply awful. If you’re looking for NHS or private just avoid this place.
Fantastic experience: I'm not sure why all the recent reviews are really bad. I do agree the place could use a bit of new decoration and some light bulbs fixing but the dentist myself and my duaghter saw was absolutely amazing. As an NHS patient sorted out two broken fillings and was able to fit us in the day after the initial check up, on a Saturday. After I became a bit faint even went out of their way to get me a juice before continuing. Lovely practice from what we have experienced so far, in a lovely little town.

Negative experience: Have been 3 times now for appointments for severe pain they have charged me everytime for nothing they said they would remove a tooth and when I went for this appointment they refused and said they did not have time and to come back or make a referral somewhere else it’s honestly not worth wasting time or effort as I drove 20 miles each time just for them to do absolutely nothing got stuck in the disable toilet as there was no door handle place was dirty and altogether obnoxious please don’t waste time or money even if you are in agony they will make you wait weeks then cancel
Negative experience: I went here in back in February 2025. Avoid this place. Its unprofessional, dirty and overall not welcoming, something feels 'off' and weird there. Floor was dirty, grubby walls, lights not working. Depressing hole. I didn't have much faith in the staff and felt nervous as they didn't seem friendly or welcoming. Nothing was sorted for me despite needing a filling and having pain. I kept being fobbed off and the time between appointments was months.
Negative experience: *UPDATE* STAY AWAY!!! Unfortunately since it's been taken over and original staff has all gone it seems to have gone down hill. Rude receptionist over the phone, been heard saying they are leaving people on hold on the phone on purpose, don't like answering the phones I was position 1 in the que for 1hr and 50 mins and this was in the morning this has happened MANY times and I have tried calling at all different times of days on different days and they just leave you on hold, appointments being booked in wrong on constantly cancelling we have to drive down from Bristol and they are FULLY aware of this and have rang me 10 mins before my appointment to cancel, and the cleanliness has definitely dropped. Boxes piled up even though they have been there some time now, door handles loose, state of the toilet is awful including a broken seat which is dangerous for disabled people and even boxes piled up in there so getting a wheelchair in there would not be doable. faeces all over the toilet, seat, sink, wall and floor at one time doesn't look like it's cleaned as was still dirty the 2nd time I went back, the people who I have come into contact with so far there have been distant and don't seem to care very much at all, cancelling appointments but telling the patients they missed their appointments. They never respond to emails either this includes concerns and complaints.. I live in Bristol and was in a terrible state with my mouth the pain was unbearable I had teeth chipping, partly breaking etc but no where would see me so for months I was in totally agony taking strong pain killers every 4 hours with ibuprofen, numbing gels and numbing sprays then South Cliff dental popped up on the NHS site saying they are accepting NHS patients. I didn't except the lovely warm welcome that I got I explained my problem with them and they said they will call back after they spoke to the dentist and within 10 mins they were back on the phone to me saying they will take me on and I was absolutely over joyed.. Had my first appointment and the welcome was wonderful, friendly and very kind. from the receptionists lovely welcoming smile to the dentists sympathy I felt so welcome. Even though I live in Bristol and the journey is over an hour long even though we left 2 hours early we got held up in traffic and I was ringing them up to keep them posted when I noticed that it then said I would be half an hour late I rang again and apologized and said would it be better if we turned round and rebooked they told me no and they will pop me in for a slightly later time slot! I was amazed and so very grateful. Again staff were so kind to me. Definitely recommend.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience at this dental practice. Communication was poor from the start — it was difficult to get clear answers to simple questions about treatment and billing. The receptionist seemed distracted and was visibly scrolling through social media while patients were calling to be helped, which felt unprofessional and dismissive. The office itself didn’t appear very clean, and that immediately raised concerns about hygiene and safety. The overall environment felt neglected. During my visit, the dental hygienist was overly forceful and rough during the cleaning, making the experience uncomfortable and even painful at times. I didn’t feel listened to or respected throughout the appointment. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this practice and will be looking for another dentist who prioritizes patient care, cleanliness, and professional communication.
Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would I signed up few months ago the first appointment was great! But after was an absolute disgrace!! Needed emergency appointment was sat on the phone 3 hours no answer so I drove to the clinic to be greeted with rudeness she had told me that I had missed serval appointments I said appointments that I never knew about? I said how am I supposed to turn up to appointments that I haven't even been told about or that I have even booked my self? So when I questioned them she didn't know what to say then had the check to say I can book you emergency appointment for 4 weeks time!!!! Are they kidding me!? Avoid at all costs they are an absolute disgrace and they should be shut down the place is disgusting the toliet is like a public loo that don't get cleaned!! The dentist and dental nurse don't seem to know exactly what they are doing. Only person who knows what they are doing is the highgenist!! Receptionist sits on her phone and mutes the phones lines and sits and makes remarks like "haha they will be waiting along time for me to answer" while sat watching YouTube absolute disgrace My previous review has been removed because I was clearly wrong about this clinic AVOID!!!
Negative experience: This is the worse dental surgery for actual work to be done. appointments get constantly cancelled and they don’t have the staff or equipment ever available it’s so badly organised. The only good thing is that they are polite and friendly. I know nhs dentist are hard to find but both private and nhs are not good services there. Some dentist don’t even turn up on the day.

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible experience, someone from the NHS needs to look into this dental practice. I was on hold for 3 hours and then just cut off. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. The best thing that could happen is for it to be shut down. The staff clearly don't have any work ethic. It is just an all round shocking experience. I just hope they are not just charging the NHS for work they do not carry out. They deserve a zero star rating.
Negative experience: This Marlborough practice only has 1 dentist working a couple of days a week ( and she is leaving in May)and are only really interested in hygiene cleans. If you need dental work go anywhere except here. Poor service.

Negative experience: If I could give 0* I would. They never answer the phone. The practice has been on site for a few years now, but it still looks like they are in the process of moving in. I had an appointment booked and when I turned up they told me they had moved my appointment to a different time and not bothered to tell me. The dentistry itself is shocking. I've had no issues with my teeth but since seeing South Cliff I was told I need major works doing - which is funny as I have since seen another dental practice who have told me my teeth are fine. They are simply rip off merchants who are after your money! Very unprofessional.
Negative experience: After seeing that this practice was taking on new patients I was keen to sign up. I now know why they needed people to fill their books! I arrived for my initial consultation on time and waited for my turn. While I was sat I was obviously looking around as it was new for me. Boxes on the reception desk and a very unorganised front office. Door handles hanging off doors and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. I was kept waiting hours and those that had arrived after me were going ahead of me, after saying this issue the receptionist said that they had forgot about me and put me ahead of the next patient. They were charging ahead of time for the next visit and treatment and many contested this While I was sat waiting but got nowhere. I was then called a week before my appointment asking if I could come in that day, this didn't suit so I said that I would stick to my booked appointment. The day of my appointment I was called again however this time they wanted to put it back by a month and a half. When I asked why they said that the dentist doesn't work at that time. I never had a good feeling about this place and wouldn't trust them with both my money or my mouth.
Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting I went for original appointment travelling 15 miles for the 1st check up also needed referral for hospital for wisdom tooth that was totally ignored despite having numerous x-ray & was told i needed to book another appointment for 3 fillings so booked appointment turned up at a later date before time and waited 1hr passed my appointment time for the dentist to come out and tell reception to put someone in front of me for a check up despite my appointment being a hour before their appointment. I was absolutely shocked at this lack of respect and response not even telling me that I was going to have to wait even longer after telling them at the beginning I had another appointment I had to be at after this appointment. The place is filthy I used the toilet and the bin was overflowing all over the floor I told reception there was no paper towels to dry my hands and she just looked at me and said we must have run out so had to dry my hands on my trousers. I asked her why someone has gone in front of me and she just said would you like to book another appointment not even a apology. I am fuming that I was treated like this and despite being very polite was very disappointed and would definitely not recommend this dentist after doing 2 distance trips 2 lots of paid parking let alone the time & stress this has caused. Very poor service AVOID !!!!!!
Negative experience: Oh dear life, phoned on Tuesday as told they were taking on new NHS patients, explained my partners teeth had snapped off receptionist pushed for us to attend this week, a 3 hour drive (were that desperate) to find a filthy reception area it certainly does not look like the photos on the website, 4 chairs, the one I sat on was broken, filthy floor with hair everywhere and a totally disinterested receptionist, hubs called in only to be told he needs to see a dentist, she wasn't one, left absolutely disgusted and will not be returning, lost wages, incurred parking charges and 6 hour drive for nothing

Negative experience: They are absolutely shocking. They have cancelled my appointments multiple times when I am literally outside. It takes me 3 hours to drive there and back with my baby twins every time and they don't even try to contact me when they open they wait until 10 minutes before my appointment by which time I've already arrived. They barely ever have a dentist available and when they do they are off sick or getting married. My partner is with them and was told he needed to be referred to the hospital to have an extraction 6 months ago and it still hasn't been done. They are hugely unorganised, I was told last time I came on an emergency appointment that if I didn't get a referral to the dental hospital for extensive dental work asap that I would likely lose many of my teeth. That was almost 4 months ago. And since then I have sent many emails which haven't been acknowledged and spoken to them on the phone multiple times. Today, when I've shown up for an appointment to literally get them to send the referall (as I'm getting nowhere with it remotely) they have cancelled on me yet again. I've asked to speak to management and am just given another email address, which likely won't receive a response. Absolutely avoid, if I had any other options or another NHS dentist nearby then I would certainly never return.
Negative experience: Gosh I wish we had more choice when it came to choosing a dentist on the NHS but I’m gong to try and find another so I don’t have to come back here. I really hope they sort out what’s going on. First appointment was a little while back now and the place was packed and the dentist was lovely. But have been back a few times now and each time have been told different information. The last time was recently. No one else in the waiting room and two staff standing around scrolling on their phone. Was told differing information again from my visit before and I knew then that if I did need any work done I would definitely go somewhere else. Just wish there were more NHS dentists so this sort of service wouldn’t happen ☹️

Negative experience: Terrible! I had managed to get an appointment with these people and was greatly relieved to do so. I arrived at the practice and quickly needed the customer toilet. Well the toilet looked like a "Dirty Protest from an H Block" there was human excrement on the toilet seat, the hand wash basin, the hand wash basin taps the toilet roll holder, all over the toilet roll and on the floor. I thought that this may have been an incident that they hadn't realised had happened but something told me to kick the seat of the toilet up with my boot whereupon I discovered thick black mold all around the toilet rim. We all know mold doesn't just happen over night so this means that the toilet was never regularly and/or thoroughly cleaned. If you cannot keep a customer toilet clean what are the chances that you cannot keep your dental equipment clean either. I will never go back to that place. I do not recommend to anyone.
Negative experience: Terrible experience. The hygienist is extremely rough and rushed on the last 2 times I've been. No reception staff on the last 3 times I've been. Won't be going back. My wife and son have had exactly the same experiences when they went.

Negative experience: Went for a check up in July to be told I needed 2 fillings and come back for them in August. Paid for the check up and fillings. Went in August as instructed only to be given another check up and told the same thing. Made to pay for the second check up. Can’t understand what the Dentist says as her English is awful. Negative experience: Last two appointments were cancelled ten minutes before they were due because they “ran out of wipes” people traveled from across Wiltshire to get there and were in tears. You can never get through on the phone line - the receptionist either isn’t working or just ignores the calls. Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with these people. The only good dentist has now quit. Avoid at all costs - all 5 star reviews are fake or misleading.

Negative experience: Having waited three months for my appointment to see a dentist I turn up to an appointment with a non qualified alternative. Finally spoke to the dentist who informed me her diary was full. I could sit and wait for an indefinite period of time which I wasn’t able to do. Hopeless, I booked a day off work for this appointment and completely wasted my time. As I require specific treatment my appointment had to be with a qualified dentist, hence the long wait! Phone lines are never open. The dentists are leaving. What’s going on!
Negative experience: Never going to finish to treatment, waiting on a referral for three more teeth I'm going to lose as fillings wasn't done . Nurses walked out dentist leaving and no one there today ! . Never answer the phone or emails . Appointments getting cancelled and rebooked to be told I should of gone to the other appointment so don't think the receptionist knows what's she's been doing even she said she's not been trained since starting , been in pain for three weeks Polina refused me pain relief and said she wasn't allowed to prescribe it , cant even get more antibiotics from them . I'm going to make a formal complaint as my teeth are more sensitive than before so can't eat or drink right feel let down by the whole team . Only thing that's ok is I got my top denture but that doesn't even fit right as was rush job really disappointed and very upsetting

Negative experience: I called them twice today to register as a new patient. I was told that I was third in the queue and I would need to wait 11 minutes. After 1 hour I was second in the queue. Meanwhile I was reading the reviews and lost hope so I will try somewhere else.

Negative experience: Waited for a year on the waiting list saw a hygienist for a check up, have broken wisdom teeth and told if they dont hurt don't worry!!! 2 receptionist sat at the desk chatting, phones are on silent so they don't ring and they just ignore them! Been trying to get another appointment for over 6 months but always number 1 in the queue and on hold for an hour or more and no one ever answers,absolutely ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: Place has changed, still a long waiting time to see the dentist but hygienist appointments are fast and I had an emergency dental appointment and have been supported well got seen a week early today receptionist is fantastic, good laugh and extremely friendly (your a credit to this place turning around from my last review) dentist showed me through my xrays and explained everything in detail I feel I know my teeth better than ever now, hygienist gave me antibiotics for my toothache and to start with I was annoyed that I couldn't get work done but in a day or two it stopped hurting and I was happy. Referred for tooth extraction and another appointment booked in a couple weeks. I totally take back my last review. Really a pleasure dealing with South cliff Marlborough. Fantastic experience: My daughter had an hour of dental treatment with Ayushi yesterday. The dentist was very kind, gentle and patient with her, knowing she was nervous and had not previously had a dental injection. She felt well afterwards and went back to school. It is always a blessing to find a dentist you can trust. Thank you

She made me a cup of tea and spoke very well and helped me to understand what I was going to experience,she went above and beyond!! Negative experience: One let down customer. My mother came here with a tooth issue over a year ago, a year! She was given a follow up appointment to have a tooth removed, that appointment was continuously cancelled without letting her know over the course of 8/9 months which is unacceptable on its own but these things do go amiss. Once she finally got an appointment, the lady failed to remove the tooth leaving it in a much worse state and said they made an emergency referral for my mum. Two months and multiple calls later to check up when her 'emergency referral' would be, they said it had been rejected and she would have to go private. So off mum goes and her first appointment is in a week. Dentists say you can have this on emergency referral and sends off the form to the same hospital that reportedly rejected my mother's previous referral. Within two weeks referral comes through consultation was had and operation to finish the botched procedure South cliff dental group attempted was completed. Happy end to a year of tooth ache, a year!! The records had no previous referral for my mum. I do not know if paper got lost in the post. If paper work ever made it into the post?! But then end result was that one lovely and hard working lady who already had enough on her plate was treated really shabbily at this establishment. Whether this was laziness or poor record keeping I don't know but I would 100% not recommend.
Negative experience: Appointments kept being cancelled with no reason why.. and no phone call, so I needed turning up on countless occasions - real time wasted. Cancellations meant I was unable to see a dentist since 2019! Thank goodness my teeth are OK and not urgent. Receptionist are extremely rude, unhelpful and always book the incorrect time. 9:30 appointment is actually 9:45. Total shambles, and incompetent. HOWEVER, Kinza is a fantastic dentist.. when I finally got to see her. Did a really good check, spent time talking through my oral routine and felt like she actually cared so thank you! Would still recommend private dental care however.

Negative experience: Having tried registering with the practice multiple times over the past year and a half and getting my first appointment booked with them on numerous occasions, each and every time they get cancelled 3 days before. 3 days before with absolutely no reason whatsoever, you try to ring back to find out why and to rebook and you sit listening to a ringing phone. I'm starting to wonder whether or not they even employ someone to answer the phones, let alone any actual dentists... To the owner of South cliffs Marlborough, the amount of 1 star reviews on here feel accurate for how you're business is being ran and handled. How you can feel satisfied by this continuous problem that you just don't seem to rectify, being all these cancelled appointments at no notice, is quite literally beyond me. Service is worth less than one star, doubt I'd ever be able to comment on actual treatment because my appointment will just get cancelled again and again...
Mr Tucker, I am very sorry to hear you have been cancelled multiple times, covid put a big strain on back log of Patients then prioritising Patients treatments and emergencies over routine exams. However routine appointments are very much important for your oral health if you would like to email or ring I can arrange this for you and make sure they will not be cancelled.
Negative experience: Similar, appointments cancelled at the last minute with no reason or apologies provided. I haven't been able to get my teeth checked now for about 10 months. Maybe they'll see me once my teeth start falling out.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this dental practice. Received numerous cancellations and after having shown up for appointments they managed to keep, they had booked me in with the wrong dentists, which on the NHS they can’t see you as there needs to be a continuation with the same dentist practitioner. I had booked time off work for this, and the practice is a fair drive out for me. After emailing with my complaint, the lady who dealt with them couldn’t have cared less. I have since happily found a professional and organised practice.

Negative experience: Literally couldnt give a care in the world about helping with an emergency appointment. 'Computer says no' was the attitude from person answering the call. Cannot comment on their work as unable to get in. Explained the pain I was in and the best was phone back tomorrow somewhen, might be different.
Negative experience: CANCEL THAT STAR ABOVE ITS THE ONLY WAY A POST IS ALLOWED Having had my next appointments cancelled over 6 weeks in advance and rearranged on my behalf I was maddened that it took 8 phone calls to try to rearrange it to a date that suited me, and I just gave up. In the meantime I broke a tooth on Friday 27th May for Monday 30th May, as I am leaving the country for a couple of weeks. At 0850 on Monday the 30th May my appointment was CANCELLED as there was an emergency to treat ......my bleeding cheeks and cut tongue don't count??? . Well South Cliff dental Practice you have excelled again, may be you need to have some staff training to appreciate what constitutes a problem, I hope the "emergency " that took my appointment has a pain free pleasurable future and can eat and drink without pain...….. so until my next cancellation I can only dream of seeing a dentist, but that will be cancelled to I presume, or will my dream be a nightmare ?

Fantastic experience: Kinza was charming with my 3 year old for her first appointment today.
Negative experience: Three out of four appointments for a checkup cancelled without any reason given. Each rebook is over a month ahead. That isn’t great. I’m glad others are having a better experience with this practice. I’m sorry I’m the one to be the voice of negativity in this instance. Nice dentist on the one appointment they have managed to stick to, but that was well over a year ago. I am aware dentists are on tricky contracts with the NHS, but continually cancelling less important appointments is not sending a great message about the value of regular checkups to avoid future oral hygiene issues. Please try and stick to this new appointment.
