Fantastic experience: Having not been to Dentist for some time we were a bit concerned about what lay ahead. Our concerns were shortlived. Donna and Katie always helpful cheerful and efficient as the front line. Was seen by Mo and assistant (unfortunately can’t remember their names) After a quick talk a scan was done and proposal with options explained. Images made it relatively easy with Mo answering the many questions I had. Having decided, a clear copy of work needed and costs was provided. We scheduled our appointments to suit with Donna and Katie managing to secure back to back appointments. Mo is always cheerful, relaxed in a professional manner and always available to answer questions and provide alternative solutions. All in All a great experience. Many thanks to all.

Positive experience: Second visit & Sarah together with Willow made fun & informative. Great service once again but not so the front desk lady (Donna) who was rathe rude & curt on my arrival. No smiles from this lady hence a star dropped

Positive experience: Great professional work and friendly practitioner's. The one negative is waiting so long for the Hygienist in some cases MONTHS as only works once a month at the surgery.

Fantastic experience: I’ve always had extreme anxieties around visiting the dentist, but Dr Bakshi recognised this straight away at my first appointment and went out of his way to make me feel comfortable. He took the time to explain everything clearly and never rushed any part of the procedure, checking that I was happy throughout. I’m absolutely blown away by the results, he replaced an old silver filling and you’d never know I’d ever had one. I can’t recommend Northern Smiles enough, especially Dr Bakshi and his team who looked after me. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment on Wednesday with Michael and I believe it was Nicola that assisted him (sorry if I have your name wrong). As someone that has not had very positive experiences of previous dental appointments I was a little anxious. Michael straight away made me feel at ease. It was a very through first appointment and everything was explained to me really well. I also opted to have a clean within that appointment which was really good. I left feeling that I have a good understanding of my mouth, areas of concern and the plan moving forward. Also this experience has really helped me to overcome some of my anxiety about the dentist. Fantastic experience: I am a very nervous patient when it comes to any dental visits, however I have just managed to have all my work done in 1 appointment thanks to Michael and a lovely dental nurse (I apologise I cannot remember her name). Very calm, understanding of my (irrational) fears and so patient with me. I cannot thank you enough for how lovely you both were - even after laughing at my Elvis face thanks to the anaesthetic! I would highly recommend Michael to anyone, thank you.

Fantastic experience: I phoned Northern Smiles at 9am and by 12-45 I had my check and tooth extracted,it was done by Jack and his assistant,he made me very relaxed and explained everything,I know I had to pay privately but when you are in pain you have no choice,overall the experience was better than I was anticipating,I would recommend this dentist to anyone.

Positive experience: I'm knocking a star off because the waiting room was horrible. No windows and ripped seats. Not a very nice place to wait at all and totally unacceptable. My experience with the dentist however was a good one.

Fantastic experience: I attended Northern Smiles Denists yesterday for treatment. I cannot praise enough Dentist Sarah and Dental assistant Willow. Two very professional people who attend to you with great care. Over the years i have experienced many Dentists at other Dental practices. I can honestly say i have never experienced a Dentist like Sarah. While Sarah maintains her high professional dental standards she also is down to earth with a kind and caring energy.

Fantastic experience: I have recently had an appointment with northern smiles at crook with DR Sarah Graves and I would just like to say as a person who has bad anxiety with the dentist, Dr Sarah really reassured me and encouraged I felt safe and comfortable. She is an absolutely amazing dentist and I can say from personal experience that without her I probably would not have gone through with it but she was just all around perfect. Credit to her and to northern smiles crook.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I attend our first appoint today at northern smiles at crook County Durham as we’ve been let down by our local dentist at Stanhope It was excellent throughout we were made very welcome by the receptionist and even better the dentist Sarah who was friendly professional and caring throughout my treatment Sarah explained everything to me and I felt at ease with nice friendly conversation and even cleaned descaled my teeth that was badly needed Sarah also did a filling straight away for my wife which was excellent!! We were both very impressed and it was a lovely atmosphere and a nicely decorated practice clean and smart. everyone was so friendly and helpful to us on our first appointment. a massive thank you from both of us for accepting us as patients and we feel that the care that we will receive will be first class going forward thank you very very much it’s appreciated for the support that we received from the northern smile team

Fantastic experience: Fantastic surgery, was recommended by my wife he had a few treatments done. Having not been to a dentist in over 23 years ( not needed one ) I went for a initial consultation , x-ray, and quote ( this bit I feared ) but was told only needed 1 filling repaired and a scale and polish … over the moon. Work all done by Loki and his assistant in a very professional manner … defo 5*

Fantastic experience: I paid a visit today, 2/1/25 to Northern Smiles in Crook, and the atmosphere was so friendly, helpful and kind. I took my grandson and we saw Amit, who may I say was brilliant with him, he was so caring and put us at ease immediately, I wish all dentists were as helpful. I think he is really good with people and really explained everything he needed to do, on a scale of 1 to 10 this surgery is definitely the tops.

Fantastic experience: It was our first time visiting Northern Smiles yesterday and we were very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff. The dentist made our children feel at ease and he was patient and gentle with them. We felt reassured they will be taken care of in the future.

Fantastic experience: Service is very good. Being disabled, I can no longer use the stairs to some treatment rooms or the waiting room. Without being asked, Donna and her team produce a chair for me to use while waiting in reception and book a ground floor room for my treatment. James, my dentist, keeps me informed of what he is doing and, where required, involves me in decision -making.

Fantastic experience: First visit to Northern Smiles after being transferred from Stanhope and I couldn't be more thankful for Dr Sarah's skill and expertise in dealing with a very troublesome tooth. Her manner (and that of all the staff I encountered) was calming, unrushed, always positive, professional but personal too, and explaining everything clearly with options. Thank you Dr Sarah so much. Northern Smiles also seem to have very good procedures in place, my customer journey from registration, to visit and aftercare are spot on. A community asset to be treasured.

Jack is my regular dentist and a filling I had 6 months ago was probably one of the best I've ever had, with no pain and no long lasting effect of the anaesthetic. My check up on 1st November was equally as painless with a quick prompt visit. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic experience: I have had two emergency appointments with Jack over the last two months as 3 of my teeth cracked so I was distraught. They managed to get me in quickly which was great as I was in a lot of pain. My Dentist (Jack), is professional, polite and absolutely brilliant at his job, he’s very gentle and has amazing communication skills with a deep understanding of his patient’s needs, both emotionally and physically. I feel totally at ease with him, he makes you feel like you’re the only patient, whilst maintaining professionalism at all times. He’s helpful and caring with his patients. His dental nurse was also lovely, friendly and supportive aswell as being professional and good at her job. The Reception Staff are very efficient and helpful also. I’m so grateful for this dental practice. It’s the best dentist I have ever had and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I highly recommend Northern Smiles for NHS patients.

Fantastic experience: we have recently moved to the area and been on a waiting list and my children got a appointment today. the practice is very clean and every single member of staff we saw was friendly and welcoming, the ladies treating my children were amazing with one of my children suffering with anxiety she explained everything she was doing and put my child at ease. even staff not dealing with you specifically made sure to say hello and wave to children. very lovely practice and very pleased my children have now been registered Welldone to all at northern smiles

I actually look forward knowing I that what ever he does is done clinically and professionally well. My only regret he wasn't around during my early years of oral avoidance.

Fantastic experience: I am a nervous patient and today I visited the dentist as I had lost a filling in a wisdom tooth - Mo talked me through all the options and I decided it had to be removed. He was brilliant and the tooth was extracted in quick time and with very little discomfort to me. Thank you Mo (not that I want to have any more teeth out) you and your assistant made an unpleasant experience much more comfortable for me

Fantastic service from start to finish. A great reception on arrival and the dentist put my daughter at ease from the moment he greeted us with a friendly hello. We were in and out in under 20 minutes with no hanging around! Top service, great atmosphere with professional but friendly staff! Thank you
