Negative experience: Never seem to get an appointment always been cancelled a few days beforehand when a ring to re-book it's even morning which is unsuitable or no appointment this has been going on for several months and I'm sick of it I would give them five but it seems they've got one receptionist that has information I'm giving them one star but I would give them zero as I'm now got no dentist and I'm looking elsewhere stay clear of these cowboys left a root canal open in pain still taking painkillers and never get an appointment when asked to speak to practice manager only managed to speak to a once to get an appointment through her then the receptionist would change it or cancel it

Negative experience: Almost all of the receptionists do not have pleasing personalities. They are quite rude either via face-to-face or telephone. Even if I was a private patient and now on the NHS list.

Negative experience: This company is everything that is wrong with dentists in this country.all about the money.from charging for hygienist visits (2 in 4 weeks and £140 for around 10 minutes work inc both visits) to making me wait for root canal treatment that should have been done first but led to tooth being lost and you then have the nerve to say £3500 to replace that tooth.now I have had threats of even sending debt recovery to my house if I don’t pay you £191 now ! ( nice recorded call )shocking attitude from young receptionists that need to grow up and learn some social skills.big mistake joining here (I joined as an nhs patient and meant to get treatment on nhs as a veteran but all you have done is try and get as much money out of me as you can)

Fantastic experience: Megha is really lovely and patient, feels like she cares. Supported by Aimee who was very proffesional. Confidence in Dentists increased, as visited after being disappointed by current Dentists.

Fantastic experience: I have had a severe phobia after past bad experience and usually need to be put out for any treatments. I saw Megha and her assistant who were both amazing. I have had several treatments since my first appointment and they have both built up my trust, made me feel comfortable and allowed me time to not feel rushed or under pressure. I managed to have a tooth extraction which was unthinkable before. They guide me through every appointment with such care that I now can attend without the gut renching fear I usually feel. My teeth are looking amazing and I cannot thank them enough.

Fantastic experience: I have just visited this dentist and this was my 1st visit after loosing my NHS dentist ( not my fault) so I was very anxious. I didn't need to be , from the moment I walked in, met the dentist, had my treatment and asked the receptionist about a dental plan , they were calming , friendly and so professional. I didn't need to worry at all.

Fantastic experience: My Dentist Union street Torquay Great modern practice, I was seen by my dentist Dr Kelly Huang along with her nurse Tyler they were polite, attentive, and very professional from beginning to end I enquire about having a front tooth sorted which had a chip , I was given a price then after my check up Dr Kelly advised she could sort it out now if I wanted, I was very happy to get thus done and the results were brilliant I'm a very happy customer, what a great practice and all staff seem lovely. Fantastic experience: After being on the NHS waiting list for a dentist. Had a text from here to make a appointment. Often get a text with link sometimes and other times doesn't do anything. Dentist been allocated does a very good job. Was with other practice in St Mary's Church my dentist decided to go private. No letters or communication which was not very good. To be given a price guide for treatment was horrified at it. Decided not to private with that dentist who looked after me as a NHS patient.

Fantastic experience: No complaints at all. Surgery staff and my dentist unfailingly efficient and pleasant. I had my first experience of pain free root canal pain work here. Would not hesitate to recommend them to other dentiphobes!!!

Negative experience: I arrived at the branch to enquire as to my due routine check up. I was informed by the receptionist that my dentist has gone private and if I now need any treatment, it would have to pay for it. The reason for the one star was the attitude of the staff. There were four of them behind their desks and not one of them went out of there way to help me with an alternative. I vary rarely get angry at anyone but their lack of empathy was concerning. I have been with this branch for well over six years and to be more or less told to go elsewhere for treatment was very unprofessional and lacking in care. If I have to pay, I would pay, but to be treated this way by staff was unacceptable. They knew I was upset by there response, but no one helped me at all!

Fantastic experience: Last two months I have opportunities to be Mydentist Torquay patient. Many people describe meaning of NHS as No Helping Service , however, this place is totally not. Good team work, good service especially Sarah & Alice (receptionist) . Both are very kind and willing to help. I understand NHS services always busy and quite rarely to see their smiling much . Positive experience: Called to book an xray from a different branch... Girl on phone totally awful... distracted rude and didn't explain anything at all. Started to try to collect a payment she hadn't even explained.. Maybe customer service training for phones would be benificial... If this person is paid to answer phones and be polite to customers then they are failing at their job and need to find something that suits them better. Hoping the staff in store will be nicer, when I actually go to get my xray. Tbh it's made me really nervous to go in now as this member of staff had no care or attention span or even pleasantry about them.

Fantastic experience: Was referred to this dentist by Castle Circus and I am so glad I was. Dr Vadym Turklish and his dental nurse both have a great sense of humour and a big thank you to him for the rebuild work he carried out which was superb. I was not however impressed with the reception staff on this occasion but would like to thank the one member that stepped up and offered help.

She was incredibly professional, kind, and thorough - sensing my nervousness and reassuring me throughout. I genuinely couldn’t be happier with my new smile. After years of defaulting to the ‘closed-mouth smile’, I’m finally confident enough to show it off - just in time for my wedding in October 2025. A heartfelt thank you to Megha and the entire team. Fantastic experience: I had an emergency appointment with Dr. Vadym Tuklish and I couldn’t have asked for better care at My Dentist Torquay Branch. I’d lost a crown with a post — it had fallen out for the third time — and I was feeling anxious, uncomfortable, and unsure what could be done. Dr. Vadym was absolutely brilliant. He kept me calm and distracted with humour, music, and genuine kindness. I felt at ease from the moment I sat down, and he explained everything clearly as he worked. He took his time and was incredibly thorough — the appointment lasted a full hour — and I left feeling not only looked after but actually smiling, which I didn’t expect from a dental emergency! Yes, I paid £200 for the treatment, but it was absolutely worth it for the level of care, attention, and reassurance I received. Thank you so much, Dr. Vadim — you made what could have been a very stressful weekend as off to a concert and staying in a hotel which was booked a year ago feel manageable and even uplifting. I would highly recommend you to anyone nervous about dental work or looking for a kind, capable dentist.

The syringe needle sinks into the gumline, the liquid numbs lips, gums, ears, the high speed water turbine drill, (can't feel anything, imagine the excrutiating pain without injection), competes with the sound of that noisy suction tube, the motion of the high speed drill vibrates through through the head, a blast of compressed air cleans out + dries the cavity, the metallic filling is squeezed into the said cavity, moulded + trimmed to perfection, it takes hours for the injection to wear off, the acute dental pain that you once had is gone.. --------------- EXCEPTIONAL, DENTISTS - ASSISTANTS - RECEPTIONISTS from; Bulgaria.. Denmark.. Hungary.. India.. Spain.. Poland.. Romania.. United Kingdom.. Each Dentist undergoes intensive medical school training for at least five years, then maybe another two years under supervision by a qualified professional.. After years of training it is possible to earn over £100,000 k a year.. Average monetary reward can be between £50,000 - £95,000 k a year.. ------------- Dentistry Training.. With effort you can be a Dentist, though placements at Dental Schools are highly competed for.. "MY DENTIST TORQUAY 2025"..

Negative experience: I was seen by a dentist who was covering for a hygienist. He was constantly making inappropriate jokes and being cruel about my plaque. He kept scraping and showing me. It was humiliating. I wrote a letter of complaint and hand delivered it to the practice in June 2022 and I never heard back. I’m afraid to go back in case I’m seen by the same person. I have complained through the website so hoping they come back to me this time and will track down my letter as I wrote his name and more details of what he was like. Update from me on 04/04/2023. So, after my feedback and complaint, it was the dentist who i complained about who was allowed to reply directly to me and tell me that he was only doing his job. No mention of why William was so rude or how I was made to feel humiliated. He was so unprofessional, constantly joking and making constant belittling comments, and after my complaint not being taken seriously, he can get to reply to me directly. Unbelievable! I will never got back. My family won’t use them either.

Fantastic experience: My first visit to this dentist and had Yordan. After reading the reviews I went with him after seeing lots of recommendations and I'm so glad I did! I am honestly the worst dentist patient ever, and he was really calming and friendly. Felt like a really personal experience to me as an individual. I find it really hard going to the dentist and haven't been for a few years because of this but this has made things so much better meeting Yordan today. Thank you!!

Negative experience: My wife supposed to have her root canal treatment and the doctor said it’s estimated £500. We paid upfront even the price and the receptionist said they will tell us the exact amount in the same day. It’s nearly the date of appointment and they haven’t tell us yet how much it will be cost. My wife have to contact them and tell us how much is it. Shocking news now it’s £600 we don’t have a choice to cancel the appointment. We didn’t get our upfront because they said it’s late cancellation. If they only become responsible to their patients and tell us a bit earlier we have should have cancel it right away. Ridiculous service and trying to scam their patient. Disgusting service!!!!

I came in for 4 rounds of emergency fillings, but my last dentist was very rude and made me not go to the dentist for a long time, so I was quite apprehensive. Negative experience: I went for a check up and required further work dentist himself was good and explained everything so I went home to decide what treatment to have and it went downhill from there , Terrible reception staff its been a struggle to make a appointment they say we’re call you back and never do, it feels like they just want to take your money as there quick to take payment over the phone before stepping foot in the place.I’m still waiting to get in now and I probably won’t bother as I dread calling the place , just made to feel stupid and not very helpful at all

Negative experience: I really enjoy dental services, but I absolutely cannot tolerate the administrative services regarding appointments. When appointments are cancelled, they do not provide the correct date for the cancelled appointment. You should change this system regarding appointments. Alternatively, just have the administrator call clients about changes.

Negative experience: I have recently been told I've been kicked of NHS the staff was fully rude towards me not very happy

Negative experience: Disorganized and Rude. I took my daughter for a free dental check-up. The receptionist initially refused to add her to the NHS list. However, the dentist later confirmed she was added and would have a follow-up in 6 months. When I inquired about the contradictory information, I was met with rudeness from two receptionists who refused to clarify and spoke to me condescendingly. This experience was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I strongly advise avoiding this practice.

Negative experience: tooth removed as it had cracked. after 45 minutes of the dentist pulling in all directions she asked for assistance, despite me telling her to split it. assistance arrived who decided to split the tooth. it was then cracked into pieces to allow the root to be pulled. during that process my gum and inner cheek where injured as the chap slipped. the original lady appeared to be inexperienced with a limited range of tools as she was told to order different ones. huge argument in their native language ensued. all rather unprofessional, but the job was eventually done.

Fantastic experience: I have recently been visiting Union Street for some Invisalign dental treatment. I found it a very good practice. Always timely. Easy to check in. The treatment itself with Megha, was fantastic. It’s exceeded my expectations and I’m thrilled with the results. Megha was always kind, caring and very detailed with the treatment information, I never felt she rushed through things, which I do tend to find with dentists sometimes! I would recommend to anyone wanting Invisalign to go with Megha, she was perfect and I’m very grateful to her for her treatment of myself and the results I have had. Amazing!

Negative experience: I will not go there again because of my sad experience. I have been going to the same dentist for almost ten years. I have a serious disease with my teeth that requires regular treatment. My dentist has decided to continue working as a private dentist and since I did not join the plan I can no longer be an NHS patient! The dental costs are beyond my budget. They have forced me to pay for a private dentist from now on.

Negative experience: If I could give 0 I would. I was reffered by my emergency dentist appointment to get some work done and was reffered to a stabilisation programme they do. They do not seem to answer voicemails as left one which I enver got a response to. Finally got an appointment and the dentist was awful. Everything was rushed no pleasantries at all and no communication on what needed to be done after examination. Rushed me into making a descion on the spot and even said to the dental nurse *I've got time

Positive experience: I have had several appointments cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, several different dentists.

Negative experience: I am disgusted by the behavior of the reception staff. I stood in a queue, listening to two staff members on the telephone dealing with an elderly customer. Only to witness them mock him afterwards. They discussed he was 80 yrs old and upset at being told that MyDentist don't help NHS patients anymore. I am now going elsewhere for my dentistry.

Fantastic experience: I needed urgent treatment, I’m a nervous patient and was in a lot of pain. From the moment I walked in I was given a warm welcome from the reception and guided to where my treatment would be and the dentist who would give me the treatment. Antony and his nurse were absolutely brilliant put me at ease explaining the procedure every step of the way. I was treated with dignity and care throughout. Negative experience: If I could rate this dentist I would give it a zero! I had covid was really ill for weeks, they said I had missed appointments during this time even though I didn’t make any after I got better I went to book myself in for a check up and was told I had been taken off the register absolute disgrace communication is appalling! 3 years later I’m still waiting for a dentist. I spoke to the practice manager and explained the situation and was basically told there is nothing she can do and just seems she couldn’t be bothered to deal with it! The same situation happened with a friend of mine but some how he was allowed to be re -registered very bias. Practice procedures definitely need further investigation!

Positive experience: This is a very professional, clean & efficient clinic that offers both NHS & private dental treatments. They offer hygeineist appointments & some cosmetic treatments including facial fillers. The treatment rooms are on 2 floors, unsure if there's a lift so if you can't manage to walk up the stairs, please request a ground floor room. Situated opposite the new Central Cinema, you will need to park in one of the nearby car parks. The staff are all very efficient & friendly.

Negative experience: My clear correct treatment took over 3 years rather than the 9 months I was advised. Also seem to have bad experiences every time I go with the dentist not relaying info back to reception and vice versa, ghost appointments that apparently were never made, actions not being followed up. I could go on and on. No sign of improvement over the 4 years I've been a patient.

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to leave this review as I was amazed at the service and overall experience at mydentist, I have been paying for the plan with them for about 6 months and had my first check up today. First I saw a lady on the desk who was very efficient she had me do a medical history form as I waited to see Dr Val, once in my check up I got a big treatment plan! My fault for not coming to the dentist since before Covid so got to see the treatment people upstairs in there office, I had a 3D scan done and they showed me how my teeth would look if I go ahead with the treatment (so cool). The man in the room did my finance he gave me so many options I was a little overwhelmed with all the info (which I think he noticed) he then broke down my treatment plan so I could understand it better and actually told me what order I should have my treatment completed in , was super helpful and Interest free finance so I’m happy!

Fantastic experience: Posting for my nan. She had been waiting for an NHS Dentist for 4 years and is so happy with the service she got she wanted to review. Nadia was polite, friendly and very helpful and my nan is on her way to getting her smile back

Negative experience: I only came here once Something was wrong with my teeth and I managed to get in as a emergency. I was checked and told everything was fine. But I was still in pain. Didn't bother to check further. Luckily a different dentist told me what was going on. This could have been prevented.

Negative experience: Manageress doesn't relay back to dentist & problems with anything after payment are rarely met . Aesthetics - Don't bother at this branch as NO after care with once parted with money . Son had tooth extracted half broke it got infected yet they'd left the bottom tooth in for another journey to be made . EVERY time a problem has occurred it's been THIS branch . The definition of COOPERATE GREED! Don't bother with answering review -I'm sure that a perfect excuse will be made !
