Fantastic experience: Today I had my first appointment at this clinic. It is a small place, but I felt very well taken care of. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect because of my previous bad experiences with both NHS and private dentists in London, which left me quite anxious. However, here I was treated with kindness and professionalism. They took an X-ray and even a 3D scan, which I could see on the screen while everything was explained clearly to me. They also went through the treatment options and the prices in detail, which made me feel much more reassured.

I met with Dr. Ricky and Amerie and they honestly made me so happy. They walked me through everything step by step, i was comfortable throughout having my braces. They made sure my teeth were perfect and i am so mich more confident with my smile. I cant recommend enough Smile Up Dental. I absolutely love Ricky and Amerie and going into the dentist was always a fun experience for me. Fantastic experience: I first came to SmileUp Dental for braces and it was the best decision. The treatment and the aftercare have been fantastic. It’s now become my regular dentist for everything else because the service is better than everywhere else I had been before.

Fantastic experience: I came to smileup two years ago seeking fixed braces + wasn’t amazing with tolerating dental treatment so was a bit apprehensive. I found the team really lovely from the get go and my experience has been nothing but positive! Everyone was very welcoming. Dr Ricky + Dr Miguel are skilled, efficient and friendly and I felt confident leaving the treatment in their hands. They came up with a treatment plan and were upfront with what to expect which I really appreciated. The dentists here also have a really good eye for detail. My teeth look incredible now and it was a really straightforward process despite my case being a bit tricky. They were also super accommodating of the fact that I had a mild dental fear and were patient and kind through elements of the treatment that caused discomfort. Would 100% recommend the treatments here! I will be keeping this practice as my regular dentist for the future. Thank you everyone! :)

Negative experience: I think it's only fair to share an experience which wasn't great about this practice for both other people and the practice itself to gain some insight. Now that I've moved to another country and finally fixed a tooth which was mistreated here I understand why the root canal service was so horrible at smile up dental and I think it might be a great help to others. I've had my 'very basic and quick' root canal done at smile up dental around 2021, the doctor in charge is only partially to blame so I don't think names are relevant. Said doctor opened up my tooth and cleaned the canals as expected, with just dental glasses (no microscope) then sealed the tooth and sent me home while scheduling another appointment for a check up and sealing the tooth until a crown can be placed. I started having a tooth ache in that tooth just couple days later so I came back and the same doctor decided to open up the tooth again and do the same level of cleaning of those canals as before. Sealed again. Another week passes by and tooth ache comes back along with severe swelling - a full blown infection for which I receive a 5-day antibiotic course and after 2 more weeks I return to get the same tooth opened, cleaned again and this time canals get filled with the material to seal them. The leading dentist was clueless as to what can cause this. Guess what, the same pain comes back within a week or so. In another European country I find absolutely amazing endodontics surgery who ask to receive all the details from smile up to follow up with the tooth. It appears (mind you, I have as much idea about dentistry as your corner window spider has about ballet), you have to clean root canals under a microscope because there are fractures inside your canals and some of them split in different directions, including (sometimes) upwards. At the dentist abroad I feel like I'm in a dental spa, where 3 people work around my tooth, everything is being done under a microscope and I can watch everything that's happening inside my tooth (gross but fascinating) on a big TV above my head. The tooth canals are then fully cleaned but because it's been opened and nerves tampered with several times at smile up dental, it takes 3 years of healing and follow up check ups plus eventually another endodontic surgery to save the same tooth (Google apicoectomy). Finally today, after 4 years and probably €3000-4000 spent on one tooth, another very good dentist in continental Europe put a crown on that tooth. I cannot, with clean conscience, say smile up is good for anything other than regular check up and cleaning in my experience but I've heard they could be somewhat good with braces, not for me to judge. Please, do yourself a favour and do not go there for a root canal treatment because you will only get problems and pain. Find a solid endodontist in your area where they treat this seriously under a microscope. Otherwise you might as well remove the tooth and just go for an implant straight away. I really liked how friendly smile up dental were but you guys need to really up your game, otherwise you're creating 4-5 year long tooth problems like in my case. All the best.

After a traumatic experience with an NHS dentist in the past, it took me a long time to muster the courage to see a dentist again. Fantastic experience: had such a good experience. i was feeling really nervous from past dentist experiences but they were so kind and comforting. they made a lot of effort to make sure i felt comfortable and safe and understand what’s happening.

Fantastic experience: I've found SmileUp through a friend's recommendation after moving to London. And have done all my dental procedures with them since. A great staff all around and they're very dedicated to their craft. They pay extra attention to everything they do and are very prompt at letting you know if a given procedure is not the right one or will be a waste of your time and money. I've had orthodontics, wisdom teeth removal, dental cleaning and regular checkups with them. Braces were a massive work to be done, particularly my bottom front teeth were a mess, and completed in just under 2 years. Kudos to the front desk for their great attention and to Amerie for the awesome music playlists during the appointments! Also, if your native language is Spanish or Portuguese and you find it difficult to communicate with dentists in English here in London, almost everyone speaks Spanish here, and some of them Portuguese, and it makes it so much smoother to explain issues you have or what you're looking for.

Fantastic experience: Really glad I picked this dental practice. I chose them over another local practice, initially purely based on the receptionists and the fact they have Airflow polish. The receptionists are always super helpful and polite - whether booking an appointment or asking questions in the practice. And a special mention to Ms Cruz who was also always timely with sharing itemised receipts so I can claim on my insurance! The dental work itself I had done with Dr Barbara. I was impressed with her kind demeanour and ability to get full relevant medical history through just having an informal chat. I didn't feel rushed at any point and she was really happy to answer any and all queries. Besides examination had a scale and polish with Dr Barbara since no hygienists were around. I had an amazingly thorough clean with minimal soreness - definitely one of the best cleans I've had in that regard. Subsequently, I also had a medium composite filling done. Fillings are never pleasant of course but again am very happy with the care given by Dr Barbara and her team of nurses. Throughout work done and our chats Dr Barbara has also advised me on other areas, such as orthodontics etc. where the Dr would ask her fellow specialists for advice. I think it's great that the practice has so many different experts under one roof. All in all extremely happy to have this surgery and Dr Barbara as my dentist and would recommend them to anyone looking to get their dental hygiene in order.

Fantastic experience: SmileUp was my second dentist in 3 day, being a nervous patient unfortunately my first dentist was not symptomatic to my issues, so after reading reviews I booked SmileUp, well in spite of my nerves I was greeted by a lovely receptionist and my dentist Barbara, she quickly put me at ease, even though I did sweat from my eyeballs, and it was only my first appointment :-). I went back for some treatment 2 weeks later, a dreaded filling, I was so nervous, but again Barbara reassured me and everything went well and now I have a lovely white filling instead of a not so pretty Amalgam. I also had scale and polish with Stu, amazing young man, very patient and reassuring and he made sure I was comfortable all the time. I have another appointment in Jan 2025 still nervous, but I know Barbara and her team will look after me. So nervous or not, I truly recommend SmileUp.

I had very misaligned teeth and was a complex case, which had caused me a growing anxiety over the years, further compounded with a fear of getting braces as an adult. Fantastic experience: Dr Ricky took care of my Invisalign, did regular check ups and made several adjustments to make sure I was happy with my treatment. Valentina is great and I get my regular polish and clean/ check ups with her. The rest of the staff is lovely.

Fantastic experience: I visited the clinic for my wisdom tooth as it had to be removed. I firstly spoke with Valentina who she did some x-rays to check my teeth; where she also noticed some other small things I should be aware of and explained to me detailed what I should do next. She was super friendly and knowledgeable that from the first moment I met her I felt I’m in good hands. As it was very important to remove my wisdom tooth (considered as an emergency) she passed me to Dr Arie who did the wisdom tooth removal. He is absolutely amazing, he calmed me down because I was quite stressed due to negative past experiences, he was very honest about the process and made sure I feel comfortable. Not to mention that it only took him 8-10 minutes to remove my tooth, he also made sure I didn’t hurt or feel any pain at all! He advised me few things to follow and reassured me that everything will be okay. I can’t thank them enough for being so patient with me, they are honestly amazing A big thanks to the receptionist, she noticed that I was anxious and had some tears on my face and straight away she came to hug me, I mean that shows everything about them! Thank you once again, I definitely recommend the clinic!

Fantastic experience: I first came to Smile Up Dental three years ago when I decided I wanted braces. I had gone to many orthodontics for consultations before I met Dr Ricky and I immediately knew this was who I wanted to do my braces. I thought it best to wait until I’d finished my treatment before I reviewed and after coming here monthly for 3 years I can easily give Smile Up a 5 star review. I also had teeth pulled and periodontics done with other doctors while here and every single doctor put me at ease and was just amazing. I could write pages on smile up but if you’re considering coming here for any dentistry, orthodontics or periodontics, come here. Everyone, right down to the receptionists, is amazing.

When I arrived to the practice the receptionist was wonderful and made me feel relaxed. In my 34 years of living this has been hands down the best dental practice I have visited. I have always been made to feel welcome and comfortable. Dr Ricky is truly an amazing person and genius. He is the only Orthodontist who was honest, supportive and genuinely cared to go the extra mile. It didn’t matter how long it took, if it was not perfect he was not happy to just let you go. He would work with you and always try something new to get you to your desired goal. My end results would not be what they are had it not been for Dr Ricky. The receptionist team are A Star. You couldn’t not hide from booking an appointment ahaha even when I wanted to hang on to my braces they tracked me down with love to book me in and always make sure I was taking care of my teeth. Victoria and Jhumalyn literally make you feel like friends with their smiles and greetings when you walk in or speak on the phone. The Nurses are super attentive and Geraldine is truly the funniest of them all. OHMyGosh even the surgeon who extracted my teeth was great. My aftercare from removing 4 teeth was so good, I was called throughout my recovery to ensure I was okay and had no infections arise. This has been such a life changing and wonderful experience and I will never go to another practice again. Oh, and whenever I had a personal issue Dr Ricky would always be willing to speak to the team to see where they could assist and help. I've had the usual check ups, fillings and cleanings, as well as periodontal and orthodontics treatments, all done very professionally and on a high level standard. The orthodontics treatment with Dr Ricky has been the top experience, as it was a major step to improve my oral health. Dr Ricky has always been very helpful, professional and friendly and I'll be recommending him to others. Generally I'm quite an anxious person and was very nervous prior to my appointment, especially as I hadn't been to a dentist for a while, but I had a very positive experience and found the dentist I had (Miguel) really helped me to relax.
