Fantastic experience: Young Smile Dental Care is an outstanding practice whether you are comfortable visiting a dentist or not. The check-in process is friendly and efficient and the waiting are is comfortable. The dental staff are friendly and knowledgeable and certainly will make you feel at ease, irrespective of your level of nervousness. Treatment’s are executed to your level of speed and comfort. I have been to many (too many) dentists in my time, and this practice is most certainly at the top of my list

Fantastic experience: Second appointment with new Dentist Tanya. Very efficient. We are very lucky here in Alford to have such an exceptional Dental Practice with such fine young people. And it still seems to be getting busier and growing.

Fantastic experience: The problem with dentistry is a situation totally unexpected requiring immediate or near immediate attention. That's what happen to me last Friday: a broken front tooth, held together with composite material for the last ten years. So, in addition to scaring friends and foes alike locally---we are traveling for a family reunion next week. I found reception staff at Young Smile Dental sympathetic and professional, staring intensely at a computer screen and finally asking if I was available the following Monday at 2pm?? Now it's Monday evening and I can report my front tooth was beautifully rebuilt by Dr. Tanya. In my experience, this is not something all dentists do or take the time to do well. Dr. Tanya has the technical acumen and was focused, methodical, and a good communicator.

Fantastic experience: Visited the dental surgery by appointment to have a filling replaced. I was not surprisingly apprehensive at the thought especially as there was also a little decay to be removed. However, the dentist Tanya Odacioglu was excellent, she put me at ease and talked me through the whole time as to what she was doing and I never felt a thing, not surprising you’ll say I’d had anaesthetic to deaden the gum but I’ve had similar work in the past and it’s been painful from the moment the needle was put in the gum. So great work and a good dentist.

Negative experience: Captains log and Feedback dated 18 July 2025. Temperature and pressure sensitive pain from left and right hand side of upper jaw, respectively. Phoned Tuesday 15th July and emergency appointment agreed on Thursday 17th July (ie within 2 days of my Tuesday phone call) as this was after a local Monday holiday I accept that "yes there was pent up demand due to the holiday' and that's OK. The Thursday diagnosis is - my issues are 1 - a possible / likely infection between an old crown and my tooth, and 2 - the remains of a root, from a separated tooth creating pressure sensitivity on the other side of my upper jaw. Awesome . . . . both issues identified and a plan to resolve these issues agreed. Now here's the problem . . . . . . . first visit to resolve these issues . . . . .22 December 2025. You got it . . . .5 months and 5 days . . . .they are very busy!!! Fellow pilgrims if you want treatment for pain . . . . . I rest my case! If all is OK and you can wait weeks, months etc for a check up . . . . .all will be fine!! Ahermmm . . . .

Fantastic experience: I had a couple of white fillings with Jordan who was extremely careful with the whole procedure. Even the local anaesthetic was pain free and that’s the part I usually don’t like. Before I left he made sure that I knew I could get in touch with the practice if there were any problems, but there were none. As a newly qualified dentist he did a super job and will be a valuable member of the team in his next practice.
