Fantastic experience: I had a really positive experience at Notting Hill Dental after needing an emergency appointment. They were able to see me very quickly, which was a huge relief, and the process was efficient from start to finish. Huma, the dental therapist, was great — calm, gentle, and very reassuring. She explained everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable throughout, which made a stressful situation much easier to handle. The practice itself is clean, modern, and welcoming, and I’m grateful for how promptly I was treated. I would definitely recommend Notting Hill Dental if you need urgent dental care.

Fantastic experience: Somewhat nervous at visiting a dentist after a very long time I was reassured by the considerate and professional approach of the dentist. He took time to explain the nature of the quite complicated problems and how they could be dealt with. Having an on-site hygienist is a definite plus. Negative experience: The dentist himself was genuinely lovely — warm, professional, and made me feel completely at ease. Unfortunately, the overall experience with the practice was disappointing. I had booked an appointment to collect my whitening trays a week in advance and travelled almost two hours to get there. Just 90 minutes before my scheduled appointment — when I was already on the train and due to work a night shift later that evening — I received a call saying the trays weren’t ready. I had already paid for transport and arranged my entire day around the appointment, so the last-minute cancellation was incredibly frustrating. What makes it even more frustrating is that if I had cancelled with just 90 minutes’ notice, I would have been charged — yet the same standard clearly didn’t apply the other way around. When I eventually picked up the trays, I was told the dentist would call me on Friday to explain how to use them, but that call never came. For an expensive treatment, I expected much better communication and organisation. It’s a shame, because the dentist was truly lovely — but the overall lack of professionalism from the practice and the receptionist really let the experience down.

Negative experience: I booked an NHS appointment where they listed off dozens of treatments I “needed” worth thousands, it didn’t feel right so cross checked with a different practice who confirmed it was all BS. I go to a dentist expecting to trust the highly skilled professional there, to take advantage of people and rinse them is disgusting. Don’t offer NHS appointments if you’re going to peddle this purely corporate self interest.

Negative experience: If you do need NHS treatment do not register here. NHS Dental choices does show Bond dental accepting new patients but that is false information. They will only treat you privately. I was asked to see a dentist at Notting Hill (they called in sick) so I was referred to another branch where I was clearly told that they won’t do a treatment through the NHS. The dentist at the Kensington branch was nice enough to book me an appointment at the Soho branch. But so far my experience has been hellish. I think it’s fair to be transparent to patients about 2 questions below:- 1. Are you accepting NHS patients? 2. If yes for above, what is the waiting time for xyz treatment?

Fantastic experience: After being a patient at Nothing Hill Dental Surgery for the past few years, I was recently informed of a change in management and invited for a routine check-up. The dental facility has undergone complete renovation with all-new equipment. Aside from Luisa, all the medical staff were new to me but everyone was very friendly and professional. Following the check-up, I was advised to undergo a general teeth cleaning, and one molar required a small filling, which I promptly had done. The entire process was smooth and quick. As an person with anxiety who has a low pain threshold Dr. Lia Melconian, her nurse and reception understood both anxiety and pain issues. I was greeted with smiles and a welcome at reception. Dr Lia was efficient effective and there was no pain with a difficult filling. The filling was undertaken with great skill and efficiency and there was no pain at all even the injection was not traumatic. The nurse Louisa was lovely. Amazing service. London has quite a varied approach with dentists and it sometimes feels like hit or miss. I was instantly reassured and treated as an individual. Anxiety is not easy for professionals to always understand but they did. Dr Lia was calm patient professional and kind. If you are an anxious patient and have low pain thresholds do visit this practice they really do understand these issues. Its the dentist but I came away without any anxiety about my next visit. A gold star practice in my view

I thought the care was genuine and I was able to express my concerns. What an amazingly skilled man who basically saved my tooth. He calmed me during the procedure by singing beautifully in Farsi. Louisa, the dental nurse was also lovely. In spite of having a numb cheek, I feel so lucky and grateful to Amir for saving my tooth and singing as well! I would highly recommend this dental practice.
