Fantastic experience: I've been to see Dr. Amin Ali Abdalla Ibrahim twice now and his detail, thoroughness, care, and manner is exemplary. He gives the time needed to do the necessary procedure and always happy to answer questions. Highly recommend him. Ive been at the practice for maybe 10+ years and usually felt like I've had a quick check up and back in a year kind of service, but not with Amin.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient here for years and have had some great dentists and 1 not so great with my current dentist an absolute superstar. My current treatment plan has rectified issues I have had for years and I cannot be any happier or grateful for the excellent service from my amazing dentist, all members of the team, especially the front desk team. As a front line team member on the front line delivering customer service in difficult situations for more years than I care to remember I am always quicker than most to identify wonderful service on what can be difficult situations. During several appointments over the past few months I have seen the front desk team put up with so much from fellow customers yet continue to deliver only exemplary service in difficult situations. Immediately after they move onto the next customer delivering excellent service despite some of the odious behaviour I have witnessed from supposed adults behaving like small children. Personally I always feel the front line are always forgotten about by a business despite being what I consider to be the most important part. Front line staff are the glue that keeps it all together and I hope the senior team here know how lucky they are to have a front desk team that care and try to deliver only excellent customer service and appreciate all they do to ensure this place continues to be successful. I always say thank you to the team, even with a mouthful of gauze after an extraction because they deserve it. Finally as a patient just say thank you to the front desk team because they really are so good at what they do and you don't know what they went through 5 minutes earlier. It's not their fault if you have to wait or pay more than you thought you would have to because your treatment requires more time. Just pay up and be grateful you have a dental practice that are here for you. If your dentist bis running late, so what, it doesn't matter but why do many feel it's right to gave a go at the front desk who are only giving them the facts. As a manager just say thank you to acknowledge what your front desk team do and acknowledge they are the vital glue that keeps this practice going and getting more and more successful because of them and everyone else that works there. I really am just a very very grateful patient who thinks your front desk team are awesome and the practice the best in Taunton private or NHS because of the people.

Fantastic experience: Went in today for for some dental work with Abubaker I get very anxious when anything needs doing. Today I was made to feel relaxed asked constantly if everything was ok it was my best experience in a very long time at the dentist

Negative experience: I called earlier today to book an appointment and was met with extremely rude and unhelpful service from the receptionist. That experience alone has made me decide not to return — it’s simply not something I’m willing to put up with. The fees here aren’t much lower than going private (£120 just to see a dentist), yet the level of customer service is far below expectations. Privately, I’ve been quoted £65 including an X-ray and £95 for a hygienist, with far better communication and professionalism guaranteed. It’s disappointing to see such poor treatment of patients, and I would strongly recommend considering private care instead. The small difference in cost is absolutely worth it for the respect and service you receive.

Fantastic experience: Having moved to Taunton a few years ago I was without a dentist for a long time until managing to get registered at Canon Street. I couldn't be more pleased. The reception staff are all friendly and helpful. My dentist is Thmina and I honestly can't speak highly enough of her. I'm very nervous about the dentist but Thmina put me completely at ease from day 1 and has always been very gentle and understanding. Over the last 12 months I've had some extensive work done. Thmina's advice has been spot on throughout and I couldn't be more pleased with the end result. I would highly recommend the practice as a whole and Thmina in particular - the best dentist I've ever had.

Negative experience: Initial consultation £135, x-ray- prognosis - needed a root canal, referred to a different My Dentist specialist, wanted another £85 for another consultation for an £800 root canal filling. Went to Bupa had x-ray, don’t need root canal at all teeth are healthy.

Fantastic experience: I had a double extraction yesterday, carried out by the wonderful Riccardo, who is always lovely, friendly and reassuring, his assistant Becky was lovely and they both work well as a team. The reception team are always helpful and lovely, equally I have hygienist appointments with Julie and she is very stylish and lovely too.

Positive experience: Ricardo is amazing. I paid for my checkup and he did a repair . He has done fillings and a wisdom tooth extraction and always does a great job. I would like prices to be displayed as they are nowhere I can find so you never know if you have enough to cover what’s been done which is a concern.

Negative experience: Poor dental care. I’ve been at the dentist for years and I’ve always had issues with my teeth. From not being filled properly and leaving teeth half in to my detriment. As you can read I’m not very happy.

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic experience. So kind and helpful. Riccardo and Yvonne were absolutely brilliant. A filling was needed and they could see that returning would be difficult and the filling was done there and then. They were absolutely brilliant. Can't praise them enough for their marvellous attitude and attention to patients.

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient to the practice having recently moved to the area. I have found the staff on reception very helpful & accommodating both in person & on the phone. I have recently had two treatments by Yana both of which were done with great care. Negative experience: The NHS dentist is a conveyor belt treatment. In for five min checkup then out. I needed a crown; I also have gingivitis causing bone ware because of this, and a pocket causing repeated infection. I was offered a tooth removal, but none of the above was pointed out. I spoke to a patient with the same NHS dentist, who had suffered the same but she trusted the dentist and agreed to have the tooth pulled. I went private, curtesy of my mother, I was offered a crown, told I have gingivitis, told about my jawbone problem from gingivitis. Told what I have to do to save all my teeth, given options of root canal and crown or just crown. I was advised to have a professional hygienist appointment. They removed a massive amount of plague built up below my gums. I complained, and the manager was rude, condescending and never called me back twice. She did tell me during my complaint that the dentist in question, "feels I have betrayed his trust, and will not longer see me" Three times, as I was trying to get a word in edgeways. Disgusting management, so unprofessional. I read up on this convey belt treatment, NHS scam. It is a big deal according to the Telegraph. Patients are not getting the treatment they need, as the NHS dentists get a flat rate, whether tooth removal, which takes very little time, compared to the crown fitting and root canal, which takes longer. Imagine how many NHS patients can be seen within one hour, with the in and out conveyor belt attitude.? It is a terrible abuse of the NHS dental system, we are not receiving the correct treatment or options. But they get paid regardless. The complaints on the reviews here just back up what I say.

Fantastic experience: I've just had two extractions courtesy of Riccardo. Despite my trepidation the two procedures, 10 days apart, were far less painful than I had feared. As I am prescribed blood thinners he took extra care. His patient, gentle and easy going manner was of great comfort and his assistant was very pleasant. The reception staff are always helpful either in person or over the telephone. I don't particularly look forward to going there but I am happy I am in good hands when I do!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been unhappy with my smile due to my front teeth all my life. Previous dentist’s have tried and failed to improve it. I asked Riccardo Giralico for advice and he gave me a few options. I was so impressed, and he put me at ease so much I left it to him to do what he thought best, and he didn’t disappoint. Negative experience: It says on this website they are accepting NHS patients, this is not true. Not helpful at all on the phone. I was told they are NOT accepting NHS patients at all at the moment. They certainly don't seem interested in taking on older patients.

Fantastic experience: 5 stars just doesn't feel like enough. I have c-ptsd and a phobia of dentists. After a painful infection I needed an extraction. The male practioner and his assistant were phenomenal on both occassions. They handled my panicky bubblering mess before I even entered the room the first time like pros! And the second time they were so supportive and speedy. They got me in and out so fast both times which was much appreciated! And dealt with my babbling butt whilst I nervously talked about everything and anything! Even said I could have someone in the room to provide support!. Thank you so much for reminding me good understanding dentists are out there that will work with me to help beat my phobia instead of just feeding it. I can't thank you enough.

Negative experience: NHS registered. Had a great experience in the past, but the dentist left - one after that very rough, so haven’t been since an appointment was cancelled pre covid. Now I need help, I’m told I’m not registered anymore and won’t take me back unless I agree to go private (69yr old pensioner). Even though these reviews say two days ago they are taking NHS patients!! In the meantime, 24hrs of excessive pain, no sleep, no food remains ignored - unless I pay £99 to take a look, before being charged for any necessary work

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I went to Canon Street Dentist for the first time, I was very nervous as the dentist I’d seen previously in another practice was really horrible and I didn’t know what to expect! I saw Thmina who is very kind and gentle, I had nothing to worry about, and felt I was listened to. All the staff in this practice are very nice and have put me at my ease. Would throughly recommend this practice.

Negative experience: Very poor service. I wrote to schedule my children under the NHS program when there were still available slots. They first checked if I had called, and since my English isn't very good, I honestly admitted that I hadn't called. Then they decided to respond only after all the slots were taken, offering me a paid appointment instead. Very unpleasant service.

Fantastic experience: It is hard to put into words the gratitude I feel towards the Canon Street dental practice. The receptionists are amazing, friendly and professional and have always helped me. Fantastic experience: Newly registered patient after trying to find a dentist for a very long time and had my first visit last week. Saw Alexandra, she was very kind, caring and explained what I needed doing. Receptionists were very jolly too.

Negative experience: Absolutely shocking experience - beware! I visited in early December due to pain - I was told I needed an urgent referral for my impacted wisdom teeth. A week later, I chased up the referral and it had been sent to the wrong place and bounced back, despite us having a conversation about where to send it. The surgery assured me it would now be sent to the correct place. Almost 4 months later, having been patient and understanding that NHS waiting lists are taking a long time, I chased up the referral only to find out they haven’t received anything! I called the dentist yesterday and today and nobody could give me any information and said someone would call me back - no one has done that. I paid for a professional service from a professional dentist and I really have not had any service from this surgery at all! Latest in April 2024: since my review above, the dental practice has now sent my referral to the correct place. On contacting the referral team to ensure I’m on the waiting list, they said that images were not attached to the referral so it can’t be processed further. The referral service has sent a letter to MyDentist 11 days ago (asking for the x-Ray images) but has had no response. Leaving me still with no referral to start the process of being on the waiting list. Latest June 2024: thank you for your response - but no, I’ve had no contact from the manager at all. Please can you simply provide me with a full refund now, so that I can start the referral process again elsewhere. Many thanks

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been registered here since Covid and we have always been treated in a kind and friendly manner by the staff. We have also left very happy with any procedures that have been done.

Fantastic experience: We have been NHS registered patients with Canon street for a long time and they have always been very helpful in giving me appointments, sending reminders and ensuring that we are seen on time. They have been really good with getting my young children used to going to the dentist from an early point so they are happy to go and have their teeth checked with no fuss, which is great!

Fantastic experience: My 3 year old little boy seen Yana this month, it was his first visit to the dentist for an examination. She was absolutely amazing from start to finish, she was calm and patient with my son and took the time to explain what we can do at home to keep his teeth healthy. Negative experience: Shocking. Rang for an emergency appointment due to chronic pain in my tooth. Just to be told my dentist wasn’t in and I’ll have to ring back when she is back to work to get an appointment. Surly an emergency appointment can be with any dentist as it’s an emergency and a fresh case but an existing treatment. No compassion for the patient what so ever. Robot receptionists. I will be looking to go else where as i am a fully paying customer. Rather my money went somewhere else that appreciate my custom.

Fantastic experience: Really pleased to be able to get an NHS appointment here for my boys after our previous dental practice went private and I spent months trying to find a dentist that would still take NHS patients. They saw my sons just 1 week later. The dentist was prompt and even persuaded my youngest son to let her extract a stubborn baby tooth there and then! The practice is small but unintimidating. All in all a positive first experience.

Fantastic experience: Myself and my family just attended MyDentist in Taunton, and I was an absolute nervous wreck when I arrived. The receptionist was very funny and made me feel so relaxed, and the new lady at reception spoke to me like a friend it was o lovely. And then, when I went in for my appointment, the dentist Alexandra was incredible. She totally put me at ease and was SO SO kind. She fully relaxed me, and even though I have to have some operations in a few weeks, I'm not as scared to attend those as I was for this original check-up! The girls there are fantastic. In my opinion, MyDentist are the best people to see!!!

Fantastic experience: I am new to this practice and a very nervous dentist patient. They have been wonderful from registration with them to the treatments that they have carried out for me. All treatment plans are discussed with me and I am able to make my own choices on what I would like to happen. The staff have been amazing and extremely calming, helpful and very friendly. Fantastic experience: My son had his first visit to My Dentist, Canon Street, Taunton on Saturday. He saw Spyros for a check up and we both found him very professional and friendly. Thankfully there was no treatment required and we are booked in again for six months time.

Fantastic experience: Riccardo is an excellent dentist I have never had such a pain free and comfortable LA and filling!! I'm actually in shock as to how good that was. He is very kind, gentle and clearly highly experienced. The customer care team on reception have always been faboulus as well, so friendly and helpful. Kathy and Riccardo helped get my youngest son get a quick appointment/referral for an emergency assessment within the access centre which was very much needed, and I will be forever grateful for that. Negative experience: Please avoid at all costs...they lure you in with a cheap consultation price and then hit you with some of the highest private dentistry prices I have seen. Again avoid at all costs!!

Negative experience: Probably the worst dentist in Taunton. I saw Christian. His attitude was awful and I had total lack of care or interest from him. He drilled a tooth that didn’t need to be drilled and put a filling in the wrong tooth, I was very upset when I came out! And for the reception they were rude as anything, never ever want to go back to that dentist again absolutely awful

Fantastic experience: I love this place. Since having Riccardo as my dentist I have only great things to say. He is so warm and friendly and always remembers me with a smile. He makes you feel at ease from the second you see him. Riccardo sorted out my dentures for where my front teeth were lost. They are perfect The colour matches exactly and he spent a while getting the fit just right. I finally have my smile and my confidence back and will be forever grateful to Riccardo for that. Fantastic experience: We took our 6 yr old son to {my}dentist Taunton today. He had tooth ache due to a cavity. They took our emergency request well, scheduled an appointment for us right away for the next day in the morning. The treatment was excellent. Our son is pain free now. Dr. Anwari was awesome with her approach to him and wonderful with her hands. Also special thanks to their receptionist for the warm welcome, sincerity and help all the way.

Fantastic experience: We have just signed on with Alexandra and we could not be more impressed. She is very polite and friendly, explains everything clearly and is very thorough. Highly recommended. We should also mention the reception staff who are also friendly, helpful and efficient.

Negative experience: Probably the worst dentist in Taunton. I saw Christian Bogdan for an emergency appointment. His attitude was appalling a total lack of care or interest from him. He removed a tooth that probably didn't need removing at that point. My pain got worse. Went to hospital, a HCA was able to see that I had an infection. Completely missed by Bogdan the dentist. I had an anxiety attack because of his bad care. I was asked to leave while still having an attack and not breathing correctly. Really bad dentist like this should be punished for such terrible work bit sadly they get away it. The Owner suggests I contact to complain! I already have. The manager Lisa Darlow has her head completely buried in the sand when it comes to complaints and is not proactive in preventing reoccurrence like she says she is. Instead complete denial was way my complaint was dealt with. Waste of time contacting the 'My Dentist' group website just got a response saying that my comments had been noted. I could sue for this terrible work done by Bogdan but I have no desire to have my medical records dragged though a court.

Negative experience: I have no idea who I've just spoken to, but, I have never heard anyone be so rude and disrespectful over the phone, in my entire life. This lady couldn't be nice for 2 seconds! Cutting me off every 2-3 words, being judgemental and having a terrible tone. I would not recommend this place even if they were doing free treatments. Learn some manners and learn to be more personable! What an awful experience....

Fantastic experience: Came in today with my partner who was booked in for an emergency appointment. Was his first time attending my dentist taunton. Extremely impressed. The receptionists were very welcoming and friendly followed by a very positive appointment. Riccardo removed my partners tooth and it was done as smoothly and quickly as possible. Was a very calming dentist, reassuring the whole time. Very professional. My partner was very impressed he has registered privately with the dentist.

Negative experience: As part of the role of being a dentist I would except the dentist to treat you with compassion and explain what was happening, and not to make you feel that they are annoyed with you when you ask questions. But my biggest concern was the lack of advice on the after care, I don’t think being told to come back in 2/3 months when you have had 9 teeth moved is good enough. But your practice is very quick at sending the finance application forms.

Negative experience: Just avoid, service is terrible, attitude from receptionists is poor, dentists are actually good, but they're all leaving, so says a great deal about the group ownership.

Fantastic experience: Always friendly always accommodating. Excellent service. I actually enjoy going to my dentist 10 out of 10

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment with Ryan, I'm a very nervous patient but Ryan was so kind, caring and gentle would highly recommend him and this practice, all staff are lovely and welcoming. Will definitely go back.

Fantastic experience: I wa So delighted with the same day emergency appointment that was made for me by the incredible receptionist. She managed to get me an appointment the day I desperately needed it and a follow up appointment 4 days later. The dentist himself was wonderful, and the team went above and beyond to help me. Fantastic experience: I would just like to say Riccardo and the dental nurse today (I didn’t get her name ) where both brilliant. Riccardo I have seen a few times now and is hands down the best dentist I have ever had ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ they both made me feel at ease today. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else . See you again in 6 months.

Fantastic experience: Today i had a filling redone by Riccardo, this was a big thing for me as I have a huge phobia of the dentist. However I needn't have worried, from the moment i arrived i was met by the friendly reception team, then once in the chair Riccardo and his nurse Kim were both very patient and calm with me, stopping to make sure I was ok, and talking me through what they were doing step by step. Glad i was brave enough to go through with it and very happy with the outcome.
