Dr.Madhumathi was incredibly kind, patient and made me feel less anxious. She is very professional and great at what she does. The clinic staff were kind and friendly too! Throughout my treatment, they took the time to explain everything in detail, address any concerns, and ensure I was comfortable with the progress. Fantastic experience: We have seen our dentist Heshika Attanayake for 3 consecutive year now and she is one of the most competent dentists I’ve ever had the pleasure being looked after by. Polite, respectful and professional, shares her technical knowledge and advise, Heshika is also amazing with the children, they are always happy to go for their checkup . I could not recommend more highly.

For the first time, I wasn’t terrified of my hygiene treatment—and my teeth felt wonderfully clean afterward. I also have to mention my daughter’s dentist, who is an absolute angel. This practice truly has exceptional staff and delivers top-quality care.

Fantastic experience: The last time I had to have a tooth removed was 40 years ago. Thank God things have improved so much since then! I had an infection deep in the root of a back tooth, and it spread across the roof of my mouth. Thanks to some excellent care from Abbi then and extraction done by Dom, I am now so much better. Dentists, nurses, reception staff, all kind and the dentists explained things with care. I also had post-treatment calls from the Treatment Coordinator to check how I am doing. I won't be nervous now, if I need any treatment. Thank you to all who helped me.

Dr. Kuwik is an excellent surgeon . My implants are high quality and perfect .The communication is easy and quick through coordinator in my case Sarah Mac Byrne, who was excellent patient ,flexible and very helpful. My treatment plan was clear and everything from the start worked seamlessly.The surgery itself is spacious, clean and friendly . I am extremely happy with my results and higly recommend this surgery. Negative experience: New to area and sent two messages on their website. I am a private customer who pays full price. I got no answer from both messages. I have sincr found another dentist and im half way through my treatment, i am spending over £2000. Dont know why you are refusing new paying customers, your loss.

Fantastic experience: When I was told I needed root canal I was absolutely terrified. Friends and family sent me sympathy messages and flowers, and on the morning of my appointment I felt like I was heading for the guillotine. But my actual experience couldn’t have been more different. Dr Borges is a genius at his craft. He was incredibly kind and reassuring; he told me exactly what would happen and kept me fully informed as we went along (which I wanted); he had great distraction tactics (I also took an audiobook); his equipment was much gentler than the pneumatic drills and sanders I have previously had; and it was all over long before I imagined it would be. If you are scared of the dentist and need root canal, this is the place to go!

Negative experience: Started work i did not want, plus left another job left half done and have removed me off their list - Advised my appointment was cancelled due to Covid-19 and dentist shortages and not to call - they would rebook my appointment that THEY cancelled - and nothing for over a year! Now problems have arose and needing to be seen (as was in pain,) I called and spoke to Charlie who advised me 'well we can see you but privately now, you're no longer registered with us and neither are your children' . Editing my review following the reply. As I made various attemps to get the practice manager to call me back to handle my complaint, but no one has, I will not make any further attempts to contact her and you shall be hearing from my legal team soon. Hence the reason for my truthful review that will not be taken down

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth extraction today the first for possibly 40 years. I was anxious, however the dentist Abby was excellent, she explained what she was going to do and checked in with me throughout the procedure to check that I was alright and not feeling any pain. The procedure was carried out in a calm and concise way my anxiety decreased and I felt completely in safe professional hands. Prior to seeing the dentist one of the receptionists offered me reassurance that she had previously had wisdom Teeth removed and that I would be completely numb and only feel some pressure and some likely discomfort afterwards. This was so helpful and enabled my to relax more. I would highly recommend this dental practice. Thank you for making this a positive experience.

Abigail is new to the dental surgery and she was utterly brilliant. I had to have some fillings and I told her I was anxious and she told me every single thing she was doing throughout the procedure. Fantastic experience: After breaking a front tooth my general dentist gave me various options to replace the tooth. Restoration was not an option. I decided to opt for an implant and chose to go to to someone who had previously done dental work for people I knew. My own dentist agreed with my choice. I was impressed with the speed of getting an appointment from the time of the referral being made and further impressed when offered an appointment to commence treatment very quickly. At all times I felt everything was explained well both by the dentist and from the implant treatment co-ordinator. Treatment was painless and at all times I felt cared for. The final result is amazing. It looks perfect, exactly what I was promised. I now have my confidence back, can smile again and know this is a permanent fix. Research showed me that the pricing was very competitive and I have no hesitation in recommending both the practice and Dom the surgeon.

Positive experience: In times where dental treatment is hard to find this practice stands out as caring and professional. As with most dental practitioner it can be slightly difficult to get an appointment but they try hard to accommodate wherever they can.

Fantastic experience: I has my first hygenist appointment at this practice since moving to St Ives. They offer the dental plan as well so you pay monthly and choose between the 3 options. The hugenist appointment was professional and calming. The hygenist is a lovely lady that with the work od the nurse assistant keeps you at ease at all times. I could say this was the best hugenist appointment I have had going to the dentist. I would recommend the St ives practice to anyone. To add all of the team is helpful and welcoming.

Update: June 2024 I have had to visit St Ives My Dentist 7 times between January and June this year, three times in an emergency pain/infection situation, due to a very tricky upper molar. The reception team, particularly Nikki, have been fantastic, particularly when I needed emergency treatment (once before an international flight on the same day that my tooth became horribly infected). They've listened, reassured and managed to get me emergency treatment within 24 hours, most often within 3 hours! Their kind, calm and cheerful approach is really appreciated. I have been treated by 3 dentists in this time, all brilliant. My dentist, Andrew Davies, has saved my tooth, undertaking root canal treatment. This has been a long, but hopefully successful process. He, and his dental nurse, have been amazing. He has carefully explained every step of the treatment and his incredible skill have meant pain free treatment. When the tooth became infected again in between root canal treatments, he saw me within 3 hours, dealing with the horribly painful tooth quickly and successfully. I need to go back to, hopefully, have the tooth crowned. Having grown up with an acute fear of going to the dentist (due to some horrible memories of dental treatment in the 1970s) I have no qualms about going to My Dentist in St Ives, thanks to the wonderful team there. I am a very grateful NHS patient. Huge thanks to Andrew Davies and the whole team.

In the covid / post covid period appointments were difficult to come by and there seemed to be continual staff changes BUT in recent months this has improved significantly, I now see a great dentist who is also really wonderful with my children. He picked up an issue with my jaw which no other dentist has and he has made suggestions on a way he can help, even though at this moment the practice does not offer this service he is going to look into it. Fantastic experience: I recently needed to have a implant after losing a front tooth . I spoke to Sarah who took the time to talk me through the process, and the cost of the treatment. Dr.Domingos Mamede and his team took great care of me and the aftercare was first class. I am very impressed with Dr.Domingos and his team, and I even got to choose the music that played which relaxed me while they worked.

Fantastic experience: I was in acute pain with an infection in my gum where a bit of root stayed in when the tooth broke and fell out. This practice was so brilliant. They let me come in on short notice to get it checked and give me a prescription for antibiotics. These worked and I am now pain free and infection gone.

Fantastic experience: Having had severe toothache over Easter weekend,I decided to ring MyDententist practice in St Ives Cambridgeshire on the Tuesday after Easter Monday. I rang at 8.30am and was just 4 in the queue. Had an extremely nice woman organise me an appointment, earliest was Thursday, of that week . I thought this was exceptionally good at such short notice. Later that day she rang and offered me a cancellation appointment for 13.30pm on the same day I rang in. Saw the nhs dentist , who was exceptional, offered me alternatives, explaining everything in great detail, and concluded I would need an extraction. To my surprise, and great relief, he offered to do the work straight away. Work has been done and now after two days all pain has now gone and life has gone back to normal. I think this is outstanding service that I have received, and everybody within this practice should be commended for the high standards. Dentists name is Zamin Kesvani. From Paul H. W.

Positive experience: I had to wait 2.5 weeks for an emergency appointment. On the date I had to wait 35 minutes to see the dentist . Zamin Kesvani the dentist was excellent, very personable and professional. I’m booked to see him again. The young man at the desk booking in and taking payment called people up by saying “next” which made me as a patient feel like I was being served at a market stall. A smile from the young man would have gone a long way. Maybe name badges for reception staff would be a patient friendly move.

Fantastic experience: I thought all the ‘mydentist’ franchises were the same, but this one most definitely stands out from the rest in a very positive way. You are always met by 3 extremely experienced reception members, so the flow of traffic is dissipated quickly. There are 2 comfortable and quiet waiting rooms, with a tannoy system that calls you when it’s your turn. My dentist, Hesh, is kind, empathetic and so professional that I have started my whole family and half my neighbourhood with her!! Nothing will ever be beyond her reach. Worth every penny!

Fantastic experience: I had to have a filling yesterday, using a technique for isolating the tooth during the process, which I had not had before. Zamin showed me photos at the time of my check up, so I knew what to expect. I wasn’t looking forward to it at all. However, the procedure was painless and, despite my doubts that it would, the tooth feels pretty much back to normal today. Great treatment. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Partner Needed to see a dentist as an emergency so called up on the day and got an appt straight away. Given antibiotics and told what the next treatment was that was needed. He worked quickly & checked I was ok with time to gargle & checked I was happy with the result showing me in the mirror & offering more polishing if I wanted. Thank you. Having a cuppa tea before work so my numbness can pass. I recommend as clean & comfortable. Well done to all the team helping him, from receptionist to dental nurse with him keeping me comfortable.

Negative experience: Very disappointed that after 10 years of being seen by various nhs dentists at this surgery I am now unable to see one. My dentist went on maternity leave and has chosen not to return. Haven’t seen a dentist since June 2022 because they cancelled my December 2022 appointment. I must now wait until they employ a replacement early next year, if at all. However if I would like to pay £66 and follow up with private treatment I can have an appointment next Monday. What a caring practice!

Fantastic experience: Best dentist experience I've ever had. My first appt at Station Road was early July 2023, due to a hole (felt like a crater) that had appeared in a wisdom tooth. The pain had gone but the hole was there and had become a real food trap. Like many, I'm not a huge fan of the dentist visit (too many fillings at a young age involving way too much pain), and due to the lack of NHS spots available, decided to go private. I saw Andrew, who immediately put me at ease. Great chair-side manner and explained everything in detail. Advised me that the days were numbered for that bad boy tooth and to book an extraction. Really not what I wanted to hear. Two months later and I'm back in the chair, really wishing I wasn't - my anxious anticipation for pain, blood and a mouth full of medieval tools was off the chart. But, all totally unfounded. Yet again, Andrew put me at ease, talked me through everything he was doing and used enough anaesthetic to do whatever he needed to, with no pain. At all. Even numbed the areas where the anaesthetic injection was going, never had that before. So, if you're a little bit (or a lot) anxious about the dentist, Andrew's your man (or I'm sure his colleagues are equally caring). Highly recommended and the best money I've spent this year.

Negative experience: Attended an appt here today for an X-ray Not my usual dentists as I use cambridge Victoria road …..the nurse taking my X-ray didn’t smile give any eye contact explained things very quickly was confusing around wether I took my teeth out at which point I get very emotional No reaction from her No empathy whatsoever ….young girl having no idea what it may be like having lost all your teeth Very disappointing compared with Victoria road Cambridge practise where they are so aware of the psychological implications and have been extremely supportive This young lady needs some further training into how to be a human being!!!! Very bad experience indeed Also bin in toilet had no insides so all paper was going into the floor I told them at reception They just said yes we keep telling cleaner??? Maybe someone could at least put a bin liner in it!!! Not rocket science is it!

Negative experience: Been a patient for many years, had an appointment just before Covid, next appointment cancelled due to Covid. No follow up appointment made, thought this was due to patient backlog. Tried to book an appointment now told been removed from patient list as its over two years and won't be reinstated. The practice must take some blame as they did not follow up on cancelled appointments. In response to your response, I never missed an appointment in 15 years, I did arrange an appointment, which was cancelled by you, probably due to Covid but never received a replacement appointment. Therefore I met the criteria to be retained as a patient at your surgery.

Fantastic experience: As somebody who very much dislikes the dentist as a whole, I could not reccomend this practise anymore. From the very polite & organised receptionists, to its cleanliness and ease of booking, to the great dentists who work here, I think as a whole you probably couldn't ask for a better dentist and I am extremely glad this facility is local to me. I would like to particularly mention a fantastic dentist named Heshika, she is the upmost professional, extremely aware of potential fear of the dentist, explains all treatments very well and provides thorough information with regards to not only the issue at hand; but what steps can be taken to solve this and preventative methods to stop this reoccurring in the future. Positive experience: Took my daughter to the hygienist here after being unable to get her into our normal dentist surgery. The hygienist was absolutely fantastic with my daughter, who is extremely nervous about these things. She was patient and kind, and completely understanding of my daughters nervousness. However, when I booked the appointment I was told the fee for the appointment, and asked to pay a deposit. No problem. Upon arrival we were booked in and told to take a seat, payment would be taken at the end, again, no problem. When we got into the hygienists room and I had coaxed my daughter into the chair, I was then asked if I had filled in a form, which I had not, as I had not been given one. I was then informed that the price for this procedure was £30 more than had been originally stated over the phone as we had not been to the surgery before. I was asked if we still wanted to go ahead, and due the nature of my daughter, I didn’t really feel I had a choice as she would never go back if we didn’t do it there and then. I understand that there is a fee for outside patients, but I was not informed of this at any point until, in my opinion, it was too late. There was plenty of opportunity for the receptionist to rectify his mistake and when I mentioned it as I paid, just to make them aware for other people who might encounter the same thing, I got a quick sorry and a card machine thrust at me. The 4 stars are purely for the hygienist who dealt with my daughter so brilliantly.

Fantastic experience: Great service with a smile, take thei time to do a thorough job to explain all of the options, good prices too. The forward appoIntments can be a few weeks for non urgent treatment but they are always there quickly for urgent treatment.
