Fantastic experience: I've just had a check up with Teona Dobaniste, she was so lovely and kind. As most people the dentist is not the best place you want to be but Teona and her dental nurse (sorry I didn't get your name) were very informative about dental care and what treatment I needed. (Not much thankfully) I was very reassured and felt at ease Thank you

Negative experience: Terrible surgery. I have been coming here for for maybe ten years. Had problems with communication issues. I am disabled with a brain injury. I swore a couple of times to my mum in conversation expressing my concern about the lack of care and communication and that's considered aggressive. I said nothing rude or hostile to the dentist or the assistant. I simply walked out when she failed to numb me properly and work on the correct tooth after messing me around for a while. Hands down the worst dentist I have ever dealt with! Bupa are rubbish! Uncultured dentists! They couldn't even figure out giving me the right antibiotics for a serious heart problem before having treatment. They knew all of this from having had it done before. They have no clue what they're doing, Honestly they are useless! I wouldn't recommend this dentist to anybody. They have unprofessional, rude staff among other issues. It's gone very downhill in the last few years since Bupa took over. Incompetent dentists just passing me around. Utterly disgraceful! I would give less than 1 star if I could. If you want decent dentistry work done, then I would go elsewhere. The whole thing is a joke! Shame on you Bupa! As for that new awful Turkish dentist you are the worst dentist I've ever had to deal with! Honestly people find somewhere else to get your teeth looked at. They cannot be trusted UPDATE - I RECEIVED AN ANGRY LETTER FROM THE PRACTICE MANAGER WHO IS OBVIOUSLY UPSET ABOUT MY HONEST REVIEW OF THEIR PRACTICE! Truth hurts Carl

Negative experience: Why are you totally incompetent and unable to provide the agreed service that has been paid for cancelled appointment with less than 24 hours to go and told next available appointment is at least 4 months away. Practice manager has a bad attitude. Complained i was to qyuiet,then accused me of shouting. Simply looking for a reason to end the call as he was totally inept and incapable of dealing with the problem. You only have to look through the more recent reviews to see how bad they actually are. Baffled as to how with so many bad reviews they can have this score. Seriously if you value good service,politeness and competence go somewhere else...

Fantastic experience: My experience with DR roshan John was the most positive, relaxing and joyful dental appointment I’ve ever had. She is so kind and really cares about her patients and her work. If anyone wants a gentle and loving dentist, Rohan is the dentist to go to. I cannot recommend her enough!!

From the moment you meet her, she puts you completely at ease — she’s gentle, calm, and genuinely kind. Our whole family has warmed to her lovely nature; she treats every patient as an individual, not just a number. Her bedside manner is exceptional, and she’s incredibly skilled at what she does — both precise and caring in every treatment. I’ve been to many dentists over the years, but I’ve never felt so comfortable, listened to, and well cared for. I can’t recommend Roshan highly enough — she truly goes above and beyond, and we’re so grateful to have found her.

Fantastic experience: I’m so grateful to Dr Gonzalo Gerbasi and his dental nurse for fitting me in at short notice to check some tooth pain. From start to finish they were friendly, professional, and reassuring - Dr Gerbasi even showed me the X-ray to put my mind at ease. As someone who also works in the NHS, I know how challenging the job can be and how high patient expectations are. Gonzalo and his nurse are a real credit to the NHS and demonstrate excellent bedside manner. Thank you both for your outstanding care

My NEW hygienist put me at ease and performed a painless appointment recently . My NEW dentist Rxxxxx was very helpful and went out of her way to help me with a particular dental problem that requires hospital treatment ; during a very stressful and frustrating period awaiting heart surgery I believe she did everything in her power to move forward as quickly as possible despite my negative attitude. Negative experience: Shocking. Lost a long time time family of 3. No patience with my then 6yr old child with ASD, got angry because he wouldn't open his mouth and then accused me as a safeguarding concern. Even though I previously advised total sensory issue around teeth and explained the steps we are taking with him to improve his hygiene. Now he won't even go to a dentist so starting fresh with another one who has so much more patience with the dude and who has also said I'm clearly NOT a safeguarding issue.

Fantastic experience: My wife's front crown came off at around 1700hrs. We left a message by phone and email. At 0740 the following day we attended at Bupa, Ringwood Road. My wife spoke to Debbie, the receptionist who had already read the message. She sorted an appointment for 1015 which we thought was excellent. Whilst waiting Debbie contacted us and the appointment had been brought forward to 0905. My wife was seen , emergency dental treatment completed and further appointments booked. We cannot thank all the staff at Bupa enough who were all professional and personable. Excellent service. Thanks

Negative experience: I had been a patient at Bupa Dental Care Alderney for a number of years now and have decided to move on as the lack of communication is shocking. So many others have complained about no one answering the phone. I’ve left voicemails asking for someone to get back to me as I had received a letter stating my next dental checkup had been cancelled, no reason stated and to get in touch with the practice to re-arrange. How can I get in touch when no one answers the phone? I’ve sent a complaint online via the web form over a week ago and have heard nothing back. Terrible service.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service, say no more.

Negative experience: Had to go back after having treatment, as tooth was sensitive, and wanted a second opinion. They found a crack in the tooth and then tried to charge me again, which I refused. I then have to speak to Carl the Practise manager, who accused me of being rude on the phone, asked for recorded call to prove this, as he was lying, and surprise suprise, he didn't have it. He then speaks to me like a child and deletes my bill, and my next appointment and tells me I need to find another dentist, which he previously told me I wouldn't be able to find another one in rhe area, As I had asked for a refund and would go somewhere else. Not paying twice for the treatment I should have received the first time. I have put in a complaint to Bupa about this, and I expect a positive outcome. Disgusting way to treat paying customers Also trying to call is a joke, never answer the phone, but whenever you walk in receptionist just sat there

Negative experience: Useless. My children's appointments have been repeatedly cancelled, with no reason given and no apology. When trying to rebook online, always says no NHS appointments available. Clearly private patients are the only ones getting appointments because they bring in the money. When phoning, the phone just rings, and in the past when I've left a voicemail, no one ever rings back. Absolutely appalling Dental Practice. If only there were practices accepting new NHS patients I'd move in a heartbeat.

Fantastic experience: I visited Maryam with my daughter, who is very anxious of dental treatment . She had three teeth removed to enable braces to be fitted .She was very nervous before having her teeth removed but Maryann reassured her and made her feel at ease .The treatment without any pain or discomfort and my daughter is very happy with the outcome.

Fantastic experience: I have always experienced kind and caring staff at this Dental Surgery - whether from Dentists/Hygienists or administrators. Whilst there have been a number of significant changes over the past few years at this surgery, the ethos and care remains the same high standard.

Negative experience: An excellent way to lose a long term recurring customer + 2 family members (that's 3 of us) is to charge a cancellation fee on a "missed" appointment. I made a mistake of entering 4pm on my calendar and the appointment was apparently at 3.30pm. Mind you, I arrived 10 mins early... so I got there at 3.50. The hygienist was nodding her head at me at reception confirming I was late like a naughty child, whilst chatting away to the receptionist. Could they have seen me anyway? Most probably. Was I offered to wait? No. The receptionist told me it's not her fault I came 30 mins late and proceeded with taking payment of nearly £30. You may have a policy in place for people that take advantage of not turning up but when you do this to recurring long term customers, you'll piss people off, never to return again. You lost 3 customers. I never in my life left a bad review, but with this, I had to. Would not recommend.

Never answer the phone even though when you go there the reception staff are just chatting ALL the time...Hygienist prices are high too.. wish Mr Clark was still there..using a different Dentist now which are a million times better

You always get a recorded message " our staff are busy helping other patients", walk in the door sitting there looking at their phones. Called again and again , left a message they didn't call back! They never do. The Web site says open to 8 pm. Phone up and it's closed at 6.

Fantastic experience: I've needed a fair amount if treatment this year and so far all my experiences have been very positive. Today I had root canal treatment which I was a bit anxious about. However both Russ and Lucy really made me feel at ease. Explained what treatment i needed and gave me the options, which allowed me to make an informed decision on what procedure I had. Fantastic experience: Amazing visit today, wisdom tooth extraction by Rasoul Najafi-Asl, I didn't feel the injection at all and the tooth was out very quickly. I was meant to be referred but, he said it could be done after routine appointment, he was very reassuring and made sure I was ok throughout. When I booked emergency appointment last week, I saw dentist within 2 days, staff here are amazing, I'm also a NHS customer.

Negative experience: Not very friendly staff - made me feel uncomfortable! This was my first appointment since lock down. I checked in at reception ok but then asked if I could make an appointment for my husband who was having a problem with his teeth. The receptionist told me that he had an outstanding amount on his account for a missed appointment. I queried it because we had not heard anything from them since lockdown, to which she shrugged her shoulders and said that maybe he had arranged the appointment himself as if he might do it without me knowing! I said I would contact him to clarify the situation. As I thought, no appointment had been made or missed to which the receptionist said she could see if the manager would waive the charge. So I said could she do that to which she replied the manager wasn’t there! When I got called into the dentist she didn’t even turn around to say hello or even acknowledge me so I just sat in the chair, after a while she asked me if it was for a checkup which I confirmed it was. The few words she spoke after that made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed about my teeth. She never told me that the checkup was over just sat the chair back up and walked out of the room! So I got up and left. I never had a problem with them before but I’m seriously thinking about changing my dentist after this poor experience.

Fantastic experience: Punctual, friendly, painless

Positive experience: I have been with Bupa Alderney for a number of years now and had always found them to be brilliant, all the staff were wonderful and I always felt safe and heard as I struggle with anxiety at the dentist. However, recently I have found it almost impossible to get through on the phone, I rarely have a response to texts which I was advised to try instead of calling. I felt overwhelmed in an appointment and had immense trouble with an x-ray but felt like a hindrance and annoyance because I couldn't stop gagging. It affected me greatly and has negatively impacted my attendance further. I have been stuck in traffic on my way to an appointment and had the phone dialing constantly to inform them I was running 5mins late, on arrival several staff were in the reception area ignoring the phones and suggested I try to text next time and that surgery was now closed. It has been an unfortunate comedy of errors in a row that left me feeling apathetic towards the surgery now. It's a shame as I have really needed their help and service but feel like a nuisance instead.

Fantastic experience: Ibrahim is a wonderful dentist!!…all of the team are amazing and so friendly and helpful. Very lucky to be under the marvellous care of this dental surgery.
