He is kind and caring when having any treatment. We are very happy with the service at the practice.

Knowing im a bit squeemish, he put me at ease, explaining the whole process ahead clearly honestly. Positive experience: Went for Emergency Dental appointment today after having toothache for 4 days. The female Dentist was excellent, however the Owner became involved during my consultation. He was very rude in manner and almost dismissed me from Chrysalis in Watford. It was assumed that because I am unable to afford Private or expensive options that maybe it would be better if I went elsewhere for treatment. This practice was recommended to me by friends. On this occasion already anxious; I left feeling dissatisfied.

I have always found it a friendly place, unrushed, comfortable as it can be. Dentistry from Mrs. Patel has been consistent, up to date techniques and totally satisfactory. I moved from the area in 2010 but still make the journey to Watford.

Fantastic experience: I have used Chrysalis Dental Practice for over 20 years and I have no intention of changing to another practice, even though i have left the Watford area and have moved 120 miles away. Minesh Patel has been a perfect dental technician/surgeon from the smallest filling to major implant surgery. I still have all my teeth! I have also used the dental hygienist service and I have always been satisfied with the level of care a competence. I could transfer to a more local dental practice but I prefer to remain with a practice that I know and trust.

Negative experience: I’m so upset with this practice I’ve been a patient here for years and spent a huge amount of money on Invisalign and composite bonding and now been removed as a patient. Awful service to nhs patients and classic dentist practice only after private work. Really upsetting as I always rated this dentist practice before UPDATED THIS : still a 1 star as I was told the manager would contact me with how to make a compliant and to see if this policy. Received no contact from either. There is some really nice dentists still in hertfordshire taking nhs patients so will be taking my private and nhs treatment there.

Negative experience: Had a horrible experience a few weeks back , came in said Hello to the receptionist and she held her hand in my face and yelled wait . And then tried to charge me for a service I got told would be for free the day before . Knowing I wouldn’t have to pay I took time off work and came without my wallet just for me to get turned away . I’ve been coming to this dentist since I was a child and I can positively say I will not be coming back .

Fantastic experience: I don’t normally leave reviews but as a very anxious patient I wanted to express my gratitude to Minesh Patel. I am extremely fearful of dentists and having implants felt impossible for me. My dentist recommended Minesh. I had 3 implants 2 at the top and one at the bottom, a sinus lift and bone graft. Throughout the treatment Minesh made me feel at ease and I was able to have sedation which was the best money I have ever spent. Minesh was very patient with me, explained everything and even gave me his mobile number in case I had any issues. I would highly recommend Minesh if you are a nervous patient. The difference it has made to me is life changing. The Nurse ( sorry I can’t remember your name ) was also with me throughout the process and was very reassuring and kind which makes a huge difference when you are so nervous. If you need implants and are thinking of going for it, I would highly recommend going to Crysallis and seeing Minesh Patel.

Negative experience: Heartless and money grabbing practice! - My elderly mother (91 years old) needed to get a new bottom set of dentures - was told as she had not attended for check ups in 2 years (She doesn't have natural teeth) she has been removed from NHS list - despite being a patient at the practice for several years - but they'd be happy for her to pay privately!! - pensioners are discriminated at every turn - If my mother has to pay privately - it certainly won't be at this heartless and money grabbing business.

Fantastic experience: An excellent service by Nikul and Daisy. My appointment was on time. I had an emergency appointment to fix a broken tooth. They were very efficient, put me at my ease and talked me through the whole procedure. Tooth fixed in good time. The reception staff were friendly and really helpful. After my wife decided to have invisilign/spark here, i was so impressed with the results, I wasn't sure if it would work for me. After discussing this, and alieviating any concerns, i went ahead,and i can confirm it was one of the best decisions i have made in relation to my teeth. I am really ecstatic with the end result! Fantastic experience: Not sure what lady I saw but she seems a very experienced who I put my trust in and based on these excellent reviews I'm very lucky to b a patient my fiancee needs 3 implants I'm assuming that ain't cheap but all these excellent reviews about implants I'm registering my partner on Monday and we're now going to help each other fix both our smiles I need a few white fillings and a implant myself but how on earth have white fillings gone up to £180 blows my mind I remember a time they cost £65 a tooth lol but that's every dentist I think what happened was when the pandemic hit and trade was affected lots of materials sky rocketed in price all building site materials like wood etc but how have fillings gone up so much whoaaaaa that's every dentist tho it is what it is I would love my teeth to be perfect again and I'm so happy I'm with this dentist in the reviews people are 60yrs old or have been registered 20 or 30 years and are saying how excellent the surgery is how many diplomas on the walls I'm so happy and look forward to the next 6-12 months of work yikes ouch

Positive experience: Very good dental practice, I have been going there for a number of years. Very good with help and advise on looking after your teeth and telling you what you need doing and explaining the cost. One draw back is they never get to see you at the given appointment time, I appreciate that they have emergencies to deal with which makes appointments run late.

Negative experience: I had been with this dentist for at least 30 years. Even helped them out when they were short staffed all those years ago for Minesh and Kalpna. Then I phoned for an appointment the other day as I have a wobbly tooth and excruciating pain all in gums. I was told its an an emergency by receptionist, so after giving my details she informed me I had been removed as I have missed 3 appointments in 3 years! I was horrified. I explained my personal problems and that I had phoned to cancel last appointment and reason why. I also informed them that they should put in writing 3 months before removing me which they didn't. I asked for a call back for a complaint they said kalpana is in today so they will get her to call. A week later and still no call. No nhs dentist anywhere else near me. I shall be pulling this tooth out with plyers soon as I can't stand this pain anymore.

Negative experience: After long time waiting on their list as NHS patient they gave me an appointment but I couldn’t attend because I had food poisoning I called them in the morning to cancel it as I was very sick and I can’t attend my appointment in the afternoon she told me if you not attend we will not give another appointment as I am NHS patient if I don’t attend my first appointment they will remove my name from the dental and I have to find another one

Fantastic experience: Decision Aged 61 I was starting to lose teeth. This woke me to the advice I had been receiving for years from assorted hygienists, to take better care of my dental hygiene. Unfortunately, this came too late for three of my teeth which required replacement. Minesh was very thorough in outlining the available remedial options including implants. Friends of a similar vintage were quite cavalier in proclaiming they would simply wear dentures and I have older friends who indeed do wear a plate. These appear ill-fitting and ugly and not for me. I wanted freedom from dentures and adhesive and also be able to enjoy a full dining experience. The initial consultation was some three years ago. The available options were clearly laid out together with the various costs and timings for the different treatments. I knew straightaway I wanted the implant option and, had cashflow permitted, I would have started the treatment straightaway. There were a couple of variables working against me. At my age bone loss is a concern and the gaps in my teeth would mean other teeth were performing ‘double duty’. This would inevitably give further problems if not addressed. My advice to anyone seriously considering implants is act as soon as possible to avoid potential further issues. Treatment I required a 3D scan, a bone graft in my upper jaw, the insertion of two implants and finally the fitting of the prosthetic teeth. There is necessarily 5-6 months between these procedures so expect the process to take at least a year. None of the treatments were painful per se but it can be stressful in moments. I imagine it’s like the chiropractor; he can’t tell you he’s going to crack your neck he just does it. You definitely have to fully trust your dentist. I found a certain level of information useful eg what to expect next, but I didn’t want to know too much. Also, I was advised against watching YouTube videos on the topic (which I followed) as this would only cause unnecessary anxiety. The scans and X-rays however are fascinating viewing. At the end of each step my mouth was absolutely able to cope with everyday eating and I noticed I ate carefully, not wanting to put undue strain on solitary teeth while awaiting the replacements. So, nothing too crunchy or tough. Writing this testimonial a couple of days after receiving my new teeth I am more than happy and can’t stop admiring them. Definitely worth all the trouble. Cost I wanted the best person and that costs, however, in life you get what you pay for. I have friends that have gone for a cheaper option abroad and included in that price is potential implant failure and pain with little or no recourse available. My way of reconciling the cost was to identify the benefits of having a full set of teeth including a smile, support for all my remaining teeth, and the enjoyment of three meals a day for the next 20 years. Recommendation I have known Minesh a long time. He now has more certificates and diplomas on his walls than paint. I imagine what he doesn’t know about implants isn’t worth knowing. He looks you fully in the eye when discussing your case and has my complete trust. He has to, as this is one of the most intimate of medical procedures you’ll undergo conscious. But I say again – definitely worth it.

Fantastic experience: Dr Oliver has always been very caring and considerate with me and my children. He takes time to explain the procedure/check up and answers all my questions without hesitation and reluctance. He is very approachable and is an excellent dentist.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding!!! I had my implants fitted by Dr Minesh Patel around 20 years ago now and I returned for a visit this weekend even though I had moved from the area. Minesh afforded me so much care and attention when they were originally fitted and I received the same care and attention this visit. To be told The implants are still strong and have loads left in them after 20 years just amazing!!. honestly this is a fabulous practice from the moment you enter to the time you exit I cannot give them a higher recommendation for the services they afforded me. It was a thoroughly joyous visit.

Negative experience: The worst dentist I have ever had the misfortune to experience. Cancelled my appointment made 5 WEEKS prior and with £300 down payment with less than 24 hrs notice. Despite me telling them my old filing ON MY FRONT TEETH had broken away and my gums sore they refused to see me as an emergency and told me they could only complete the treatment in another month - and apparently I was lucky to only have waited 5 weeks for the initial appointment- and if I don’t like it to go elsewhere - trying to do so but have to wait for my money to be refunded - AVOID AVOID AVOID
