Our practice is a 2 minute walk from Wooton Gardens bus stop, with limited public car parking around the practice. Negative experience: They don't accept nhs patients any more. 100% private despite their website showing otherwise. The person who answered the phone also heaved a huge sigh when picking up my call and he was really short and rude. Please don't take it out on me if you hate your job. :)
Negative experience: I called for appointment for tooth removal for daughter. WeI couldn't reach time but we called and told stand still traffic on road .we were 8 minutes late. Reception people told that re book .if it private, they could have me tra and biscuits on arrival and take in for treatment. Total disgrace..

Fantastic experience: My dentist in Bournemouth with Haem Asaad is so warm, friendly, caring, and an excellent dentist. She is brilliant with her dentistry work and she is so supportive to help you with having an enjoyable experience. As none of us like going to the dentist, and it can be quite scary... even though I am met with difficulties with my teeth Haem always makes the subject feel light and manageable and makes sure I understand, that I know what to do and she comforts me while we figure it out together. Her expertise and knowledge are exceptional, and she truly is an asset to the practice. Dr. Ghazal is one of the best dentists I have ever seen — her professionalism is outstanding, and she has been looking after my whole family with the same care and excellence. I also want to give a big thank you to Thomas, who was really good and made the whole experience even smoother. I couldn’t recommend Dr. Ghazal and the team more highly! While my experience with Dr. Ghazal and Thomas has been exceptional, the front desk often appears disengaged, and the manager could show greater respect toward patients. Negative experience: Their service was always fine but they've messaged me to book in, after they've kicked us off the system with no warning. They did this to me in lockdown when you weren't able to book in anyway. Admin needs looking into

Unfortunately, the practice is currently not able to accommodate every new and previous patient who has contacted them requiring care. If you fail to attend a dental check-up for two years or more, you could be removed from the NHS dentist list. This means you will no longer have automatic access to NHS dental services. Visiting your dentist every two years helps ensure that you remain on their patient list and can continue to receive NHS dental care. The NHS.uk website may be helpful in assisting you seek an alternative NHS practice within your area, that may have the capacity to take on new patients and offer you NHS dental care.

Negative experience: I saw a dentist here a few months ago, 1 wisdom tooth was sideways the other was partially through but not inline with the other teeth. Dentist here said not to touch them and that they didn't need removing, they are now both badly infected, I have been advised by a new private dentist that they need removing as they will keep getting infected.

Fantastic experience: I have been lucky enough to have had the same amazing dentist at this practice for many years. Unlike an NHS GP I have never once had to see someone different. I have anxiety with my teeth and I am made to feel reassured and put at ease .I genuinely feel fortunate to still have an NHS dentist let alone a great one. I feel very angry at the governments failure to fix NHS dentistry and feel it might be on its very last legs. My last visit was so smooth and efficient having been seen half n hour early !. So yes I am a very satisfied patient.

Fantastic experience: Moved to Bournemouth and had to find a new dentist and because of the lack of NHS dentists down here, I had to go private. Found another one and it was £89 just for the check up! They also quoted me up to £1,000 work just for sorting out a chip on one tooth (which they said I needed to undergo root canal treatment for). I'm so glad I asked someone at work who they use, as they recommended My Dentist. I went and the difference was clear from the start. At the time, the check up was only £43. My dentist Dr. Asaad, discussed options with me and different treatment options. I ended up paying for a filling in the end which saved me about £850! The tooth is great, and had no problems since. I would highly recommend them, staff were great and if that wasn't enough, the cost was miles better than other private dentists around the area.

Fantastic experience: I went to see Dr. Asaad on last week and the week before. She took her time to explain the procedure and made sure that she understood my concerns. She gave me a thorough cleaning of my teeth and for which I am very grateful. I am on chemotherapy treatments with various side effects, also it has made my teeth with many gaps and since I am prone to gum diseases. I was able to understand what I needed to do to maintain a healthy tooth. I am very impressed with Dr. Asaad and staff at My Dentist Bournemouth! Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Dr. Asaad did an excellent job, very gentle and methodical with her work and took time to make sure I was knowledgeable about what was happening with my dental health. I am very grateful for her recent findings, that I need a garde because they were sign that I am grinding my teeth. Negative experience: I contacted them for cementing 3 crowns that had fallen off. Upon examining, the young dentist lady told me that she could cement 2 back in, but cementing the third wasn’t possible (I had paid cash, and I wasn’t offered a refund for the crown they later concluded they can’t cement). Anyway, she cemented back 2 crowns, one of which fell 2 days after, and the other one fell a week later. Dentists in my country use light cured, specialty cements that bond very well (and take a while to mix and apply). Based on the time it took her to cement 2 crowns, and further based on the results or lack thereof, she didn’t use anything special. She just applied cheapo dental cement anyone can buy on amazon for 30 quid, and called it a day. I know the state of dentistry in the UK is ridiculous but even then, the level of service/value I received is, well, nonexistent.

Negative experience: Extremely Disappointed with This Clinic.WORSE dental practice I have ever been. I recently had a terrible experience with this dental clinic. I called them in an emergency, explaining the severe pain I was in with my teeth and gums. They initially gave me an appointment, but the next morning, I received a text message stating that it had been canceled. The reason? I had not been at the surgery for over a year, so they could no longer see me as an NHS patient. Instead, they insisted that I switch to a private scheme and pay the full amount as a private patient.This is the worst dentist clinic I have ever encountered. The receptionist was incredibly rude and showed no concern for my urgent needs as a patient. It became clear that their primary focus was not on providing care but on making more money.I explained my situation and the pain I was in, hoping for some understanding and help. However, they were more interested in pushing me into a private patient scheme rather than addressing my immediate needs. Discharging an NHS patient without proper communication or consideration is unacceptable.I am beyond frustrated and disappointed with how I was treated. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone, especially if you are relying on NHS care. They are more concerned with their profits than their patients' well-being.

Negative experience: I had some work done on a few teeth back in march thought everything was good until in June a tooth started crumbling away, all work that was done has ruined my teeth that now need more work! I’ve been left with holes in teeth were they’ve been drilled.. and temporary filled after being told they wasn’t temporary, leading to more of a problem and unnecessary pain, when I tried to book appointment the practice manager Kevin Craine was rude.. shouting down the phone refused to give me an appointment to be seen and hung up On me, I called again he was still very rude and told me “I’ll give you an appointment in August” I had to contact 111 for an appointment, to try and get some of the issue resolved, now awaiting for teeth to be removed from negligence!

Negative experience: After a recent visit and having a crown I was shocked to see a lump of metal in my mouth when I looked in the mirror when I got home disappointed doesn't even come close to how I feel and I'm really shocked as my dentist is really usually good and I would have expected the choice to have been give to me to pay the extra for a white crown. And I've also had to remove my mobile number from the practice to stop the doubling up of text and call reminders for appointments one from the practice and one from head office it can be upto 3 of each just for 1 appointment and shame on the receptionist trying to force me saying it was company policy I needed to leave a mobile number

Negative experience: I need to register my kids with a dentist and a friend of mine recommended this place. I’m very disappointed. Called today at least 5 times and the phone was hung up after they heard my voice. Last call the person who picked up the phone was very rude. I said that I wa wondering if they are accepting kids as new patients (what the hold message and website says they are) and she and she said no. Then I asked if it didn’t matter private or NHS and she said private yes but could feel she didn’t want to explain or keep the call at all. Then sí said I’m sorry but I have been hung up the phone few times and she reply that didn’t hear anything (while was clear en her tone of voice that was laughing). Then I said you are laughing, that’s very rude and it’s not a good customer service and once again this person hung up the phone. I wasn’t rude, I didn’t shout or used a bad word. Would be the good time for offering an apology or explain if they were very busy at the moment if the case. I wonder if it was just a very bad customer service or the person on the phone felt my accent and was very racist. Can’t believe how disappointed my experience was.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding experience, i am usually Petrified for dentist but this experience has been a game changer for me, lovely receptionists and amazing dentist talked me through step by step before and during an extraction which made it so comfortable as I knew what was going on and know how long was left due to being informed prior, pain free very quick and very patient, felt really relaxing and NOT rushed and rough like I have experienced in other surgery's.

Fantastic experience: Been with them since 2012 when I moved down here. I’m very pleased to still be able to receive NHS care as I’m acutely aware of the lack of available NHS dentists across the whole of the country. Adina Popa has been my dentist for some time and she is very friendly. All the staff there are good and accommodating. I was able to receive some honest treatment from MyDentist after being deceived by a private dentist at a different practice who had done some cosmetic work on my teeth so I definitely trust MyDentist and would 100% recommend

Fantastic experience: Christine Soosay has been an absolute revelation since taking up the position as Dentist at the Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth branch of mydentist. Seeing her on a number of occasions has not been the onerous or scary experience many have with dentist appointments. Instead Christine and her lovely assistant are welcoming, friendly and put me at my ease every time i visit. The treatment she has provided has been excellent, carried out professionally, with thorough investigations beforehand and with great care and the minimum of discomfort. Negative experience: My partner, suffering from chronic toothache, booked a checkup on the basis that any work could be done by 10th Dec. After paying for the appointment and x rays he was told he had to go to Wimborne for a root canal and not until 29th Dec. This is unacceptable. Went to Ocean dental care who are removing the tooth tomorrow, in their Bournemouth practise, as a root canal is pointless. Mydentist is more of a hygiene practise and should make it clear that dental work may not be carried out at their Bournemouth practise. Complete waste of time and money.

Negative experience: Repeatedly cancels appointments
We understand people’s frustrations who want routine NHS check-ups however we have limited availability due to NHS dentist vacancies. We have been working closely with the dentists at our practice and have been prioritising NHS patients who are in pain and in need of urgent treatment. Due to this our diaries are fully booked during our NHS hours, so we are unable to offer routine treatments such as examinations at this time.
We are hoping this may change but until we work through the back log, we cannot confirm a time frame. Please be assured that our clinicians are working incredibly hard to try and accommodate as many patients as possible.

Negative experience: The worst medical care imaginable. I received a text message to inform me that my appointment has been cancelled and to ring to make another one. Turns out, my appointment was cancelled because the dentist doesn't want to work on Thursday afternoons anymore! The next available appointment was in two months time! Unless I want to go private of course...... I did, just not with them.

Negative experience: I waited 30 minutes for my call to be answered, than I was told that mydentist practice is not accepting new NHS patients just private. I asked the question so where is the money is being invested when you can't afford sufficient amount of people to answer the phone calls and you have only one receptionist on duty struggling to cope with the demand?! Poore very poor customer service You are happy to charge clients but are not so happy to invest money to support your front of the house!

Negative experience: My hygienist appointment has been cancelled. You have to put down a deposit to book the slot. Therefore, if the appointment needs to be rebooked it should be rebooked for the same week not months later and a decent explanation should be offered for why it has had to be cancelled. Instead my partner and I who had booked appointments for the same day were offered no explanation and no dates in the same week. And no offer of a refund on the deposit because the receptionist needed a manager to authorise a refund for their cancellation. This is not the first time my hygienist appointments have been cancelled and rearranged for months away. In fact my last appointment went through this process 3 times before I was finally seen. Which quite frankly is disgusting customer service. I understand emergencies happen. But the customer should instead be seen by another hygienist. My dentist has many surgeries in the area so equally the customer could be sent to one of those surgeries. There should also be a policy where one single patient that has paid for a service should not be reorganised more than once for each appointment. And maybe they need to hire another hygienist to spread the appointments. Update: they do have another hygienist who can get us in on an acceptable date. But why was this not offered to begin with? If it means the original hygienist misses out on commission then so be it. Their fault for having to cancel appointments already in their diary. Update 2: they have phoned again the day before the appointment to try and change my partner and I's appointments. This time they did try and offer the following week. But we both put our foot down and said. Our appointments have been moved over and over and this is not on. Again no explanation as to why the appointments need to move. So we are now keeping our appointments. I have no idea what is going on but it seems like they don't want to do their jobs!

Negative experience: If I could give this dentist minus stars I would! Do not waste your time with this incompetent dental practice. I approached them last October because my teeth are so rotten I want them all removed and want to have dentures fitted. They told me a referral would be sent for oral surgery, great I thought! I got the appointment for said surgery and was asked if I had my temporary dentures with me? Well, no, because nobody from the incompetent dentist told me this should be done. So, with no surgery happening that day I went home and phoned the incompetent dentist, to be told by the receptionist that temporary dentures couldn't be make before removal of my teeth. So, I made another appointment with the oral surgeon which was for earlier today. To be told by him he had a referral for the removal of my top teeth only and asked if I had my temporary teeth with me?. When I told him that I was told by the incompetent dentists receptionist that this was indeed not possible, he then went on to explain how it is indeed possible!. He said go back and remind them of their duty of care and to threaten them with the complaints procedure but I'd rather go elsewhere though, because I am tired of being messed about by them. I'm home now searching the web for a COMPETENT dentist. :)

Fantastic experience: First of all, I was extremely happy that I actually got an appointment just before I was going away, and then the receptionist called me to say that there is an earlier appointment as there was a cancellation and knowing the urgency of my pain that I was going through . After seeing Adinas' magical hands extracting the tooth without any discomfort, I could not believe that within 10mins the pain disappeared after the extraction, the pain I was suffering for 4 weeks and tried all the other tricks in the book to get rid of the pain did not work. I have moved twice further away from the Dental Practice, but I still prefer to attend that particular Practice knowing that I am in safe hands and great quality of staff. Very kind and polite receptionist including the 2 assistants with Adina.

Fantastic experience: After the pandemic our dentist close down, the only dentist accept my children, and very big thanks to Yelive very kind and a lovely receptions. Highly recommended private or NHS.
