I was in Glasgow on business and suffering from a severe toothache due to a botched filling from a previous dentist. The pain had kept me awake all night - it was truly excruciating. Desperate for relief, I found Bupa Dental Care Partick East just 10 minutes from my hotel and waited in my rental van outside before they even opened. From the moment I walked in, I was met with warmth and understanding. The two Lauras at reception were not only friendly and welcoming, but went above and beyond—offering me Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, a glass of water, and, just as importantly, genuine kindness and sympathy. That human touch meant so much. Soon after, I was seen by Jack and Zoe, who were simply exceptional. I was in for an emergency extraction, and Jack—well, what can I say? Carlsberg don't make dentists, but if they did, they still wouldn't beat Jack. He was kind, gentle, and thoroughly explained every step of the procedure. Despite it being a wisdom tooth, I barely felt a thing. The relief was immediate and the entire process felt calm and professional. The environment at Bupa Dental Care Partick East is one of genuine care and consideration. From reception to treatment, every interaction made me feel looked after and respected. I honestly can’t rate them highly enough. Thank you, Jack, Zoe, and the whole team - you turned a nightmare situation into a positive experience, and I’m incredibly grateful.

Had a root canal, and varies other treatments with Jack and Zoe and the experience has been top class, can't recommend them highly enough!

Negative experience: Can never get a basic appointment here without having to wait 3 months. And by the time my 3 months was here, I get a call a day before that they cancelled my appointment and the next reschedule is another 3 months away. I finally gave up. No preventative care. Apparently you can only see a dentist in emergency situations.

Negative experience: I had a routine check-up at Bupa Dental today, which started 15 minutes late, leaving only 15 minutes for the consultation. During the visit, I requested a teeth cleaning service, but the dentist informed me there wasn’t enough time and that I would need to book a separate appointment with a hygienist for both consultation and cleaning, incurring additional costs. This was disappointing, as I had already spent nearly £90 on the consultation and X-rays to ensure everything was fine, and since I already know I need cleaning, I don’t understand why another consultation is required. I had hoped these services could be addressed during this visit.

Negative experience: Not a great experience at all. If you want to be cared for, please avoid. Little care is shown to patients and resolving their issues. After 2 Dentist appointments my issue still hasn't been resolved.

Positive experience: Registered recently to get some fairly urgent root canal work done. Quality of the work I had done was excellent, no complaints, but I was told at the time I needed 3 of my fillings replaced and given a dental plan to have them done. Was a bit surprised at this so decided to register with another dentist who told me my fillings were absolutely fine. Make of that what you will. Also, I wasn't too pleased at being sprung with extra charges for xrays at my initial assessment (on top of the assessment fee) that I hadn't asked for. My new dentist included all xrays in the initial assessment fee. Maybe they should be more up front about their charges so that people don't feel ripped off.

Negative experience: Not a good dental practice at all. Their new dentist Jack promised to rebuild my smile but its been almost a year since my care was entrusted to him and not a single filling has been done. He claimed my teeth were severely worn and I was subjected to six or seven appointments in which nothing but pictures were taken of my teeth. I was then referred to see a specialist which involved a twenty five week wait with the end result being a less than fifteen minute consultation. The specialist ruled that my teeth were not severely worn and could be rebuilt with relative ease. I was sent back to him. However, the receptionist now refuses to answer my phone calls, with the manager of the practice and the company pathetically hiding behind the public ombudsman service. They are now resorting to petty character assassinations which have no factual basis at all. This whole charade began when I entered a relatively minor dispute with his girlfriend, who is also a receptionist. In the end, this awful experience could have been avoided if Jack had simply done his job. The job of rebuilding my teeth. He failed to do that and I have no choice but to write this scathing review.

Negative experience: After a conversation with Bupa I cannot believe the lies this practice tells. Do yourself a favour and AVOID AT ALL COSTS Absolutely disgusting the way my 14 year old daughter was treated. She is petrified of the dentist and after her 1st appointment she was being referred to the dental hospital for sedation. It was a 20+ week wait. She was in a lot of pain so was seen by another dentist Jack Mollison as the dentist she had seen before was off. Immediately I could see she was relaxed with him, he was so patient. When we got home I called the practice to see if she could be moved on to his list. After 5 mins I was called back to be told yes that was her now on his list. FANTASTIC we wouldn’t have to go to the dental hospital as she was willing to sit in his chair to let him do the treatment. On her next visit she sat in his chair for 40/50 minutes for him to remove her tooth. Could not have been happier as I said before she was petrified of dentists. After seeing him a few more times with emergency apps he made a plan for her treatment. Then I call the surgery in April and spoke to Laura the lead receptionist only to be told that Jack would not be seeing her again when I asked why I was told she was never on his list which is a lie. I also asked who made this decision and was told it was Jack. Her attitude was disgraceful and as I asked questions which she could not answer she told me to put a complaint into the practice which I did and if I wasn’t happy to wait for the app from the dental hospital to come through. Wow such a caring attitude towards a child. I received an email from the practice manager informing me she had received my complaint and would get back to me. I never spoke to her once. I then received an email from the Area Manager for Scotland Karen who called and we spoke on the phone, once again I was told my daughter was never on Jack’s list. I again asked the same questions which she could not answer and told me she would investigate, finally thought something would be done. I then received a standard email with no explanation of what had happened all I got once again was she was never on Jack’s list. I emailed her back and I am still waiting on a response. The 3 questions I asked surely would not be hard to answer if they were telling the truth? Why was I told my daughter had been moved on to Jack’s list? Why did she continue to see him even after the 1st dentist she saw came back to work? Why did he make a treatment plan for her? To treat a 14 year old child who it took all her time to sit in the chair is utterly unacceptable behaviour for such a large company like Bupa.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and make you feel at ease from the moment you walk in the door, reception staff Laura, nurse Alison and dentist Graham. Anything you’re unsure about is answered and you feel like decisions you make for forward treatment planning is being supported/ and advice is given from the dentist about best options for your care.

At first it is my,fault to miss my appointment because the bus I would take was being cancelled in the morning, so I was late in 15 minutes. Then the girl in the reception tell me the only way is waitting for next NHS register time which is four months later. That all I can totally understand, but then she asked me to get out of the dental practice and even when I called the Uber and stand out of the front door for 2 mins (it is raininh heavily),she phoned me to get away from the door！！！！ I am not sure it is a kind of racism or something,but it is my first time meet with such rude people in Scotland！

Positive experience: After the dental acupuncture treatment, the treated tooth suffered repeated pain, and a pustule developed next to the tooth, which lasted for several months. I went to another dental clinic last three weeks and was told that I had a severe infection and had to have this tooth pulled out.
