Positive experience: I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I felt this experience needed to be shared. This was my second visit to this dental clinic, and honestly, if there weren’t extra charges to switch to another Bupa dentist, I wouldn’t have returned. Unfortunately, this visit was no different from the first—the atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and the tone from staff came across as patronising. On top of that, there seemed to be a lack of clarity from the office staff on what’s covered under Bupa, which is surprising for a Bupa dentist. Patients shouldn’t feel more informed than the team. Visiting the dentist is already stressful, and adding passive-aggressive interactions makes it harder. A little more empathy and clearer communication would go a long way toward improving the experience. On a follow up visit the next week, however, the dental hygienist was amazing, really friendly, polite and informative which has improved my overall experience around with this practice.

Fantastic experience: Bupa dentist Glengormley has the most professional dentists and dental nurses. The receptionists are extremely courteous and welcoming. I have always been a nervous patient but the receptionists and my dentist are understanding and take time to ensure I am relaxed and ready for treatment. Negative experience: Paid over a grand to have more issues with my teeth. Very hard to get manager to get in contact after he said he would. Clearly a dentist that cares more about money than dental health made me go through unnecessary procedures that ended up causing more issues. Basic white fillings have been causing pain for months and I was just told it’s normal. Would definitely recommend anywhere else before here.

Positive experience: Very hard to get appointment with this practice. You ring to surgery, goes straight to asking you if you would like to hold or leave message. Have left message twice in space of a week and ended up having to go down as no one could be bothered to ring back. Have a broken tooth and sensitivity in another one and have been given an appointment for July cause these apparently aren’t classed as emergencies by the receptionist. Also asked if I could see another one to be told no as 1:- have to see my own dentist (who is on reduced days) and 2: they aren’t taking on NHS patients. I may be NHS but still pay for my treatment so if my dentist leaves what am I supposed to do?? Surely a duty of care to all patients has to be adhered to

Fantastic experience: As a nervous patient visiting the dentist in a long time i couldnt be more thankful for my dentist Teresa she explains everything and puts you at complete ease. Any dental assistant that has been in during my appointments are absolutely wonderful as well along with the receptionists. Fantastic experience: Cathy is the best dentist I’ve ever had! Professional, kind, empathic and amazing at her job. Her assistant is always on the ball and professional. Place is always clean. Receptionists are polite and chatty. I’ve always managed to get appointments fairly quickly and able to pay monthly instalments if need be. Only negative is I got chuckled at by the male receptionist once when I tried paying with actual cash saying ‘we don’t carry change, who pays with cash anymore’ doubt it’s bupa refusing my £££ money more a personal grudge. Overall Cathy is amazing!

Positive experience: Dentists and reception very nice to speak to in person however trying to get an appointment is difficult especially when your paying for it however i know everyone is entitled to a dentist They have a contact us email section on their website for appointments and general enquiries, which they never reply back to I've tried on a few occasions. What's the point in having it.

Negative experience: Was ripped off £79 for no treatment and no advice except “will not treat”. Ensure you get something and do not pay until all work done and a report written. Con men in my and others opinion. Beware this practice for all private work.

Negative experience: Same as others here, shockingly bad customer service. It states on their website currently accepting new clients, I rang to register my little boy and was quite rudely told it would be July at the earliest before they would be accepting anyone new. The receptionist has a vile attitude and should perhaps reconsider working in a role dealing with people given her inflated sense of importance. Please don't bother with the usual response of asking me to ring to discuss. I would rather remove my own tooth with rusty pliers than give these people business.

Negative experience: Like a couple of other people have suggested, basically got turned away when asking if it was possible to register with them as I have just moved to the area. I have pretty bad wisdom tooth pain and need to get seen to pretty sharp but was turned away and told to call back in July. Really disappointing as have seen great things about this practice and even have family that come here as well.

Negative experience: Awful customer service, rang up to check were they taking new patients told no. Asked politely as I'm not from the area are there any dentists nearby that they'd recommend as they wouldn't help me. Again was told in no uncertain terms no and to check myself. Thanks a lot guys! Avoid and don't even bother calling if you are a new patient! If I could give no stars I would.

Negative experience: I have been attending this practice for many years with no problems at all … I had a check up appointment set for July 2020 and it was canceled one day before via a text .. I was told to call to reschedule, when I called I was told I could not be seen and to call back in November 2020 … Due to all the COVID lockdowns that didn’t happen either … so at the beginning of May this year I called again and was finally given an appointment for June 25th … 15 mins before my appointment time I received another text saying again they had to cancel my appointment with no explication & to call again to reschedule … So this morning bright & early I called the surgery to be told my Dentist is actually leaving and she has no available appointments left before she leaves & her replacement won’t be arriving until September so to call back then … I was also literally told by the receptionist that … it’s just a check up, and because I don’t have any issues that basically I didn’t matter because I don’t have a tooth ache … The reason you go to the dentist on a regular basis for check ups is so you don’t develop any issues and they are caught and fixed before it turns into a problem thus costing the NHS money to fix I’m beyond shocked at how I’ve been treated by this surgery in the last 12 months I was going to make inquiries during my check for potentially starting Invisalign treatment & composite bonding …. Which is paid for privately but I will now be looking else where to spend my money

Fantastic experience: Not very often you leave the dentist with a smile on your face!! very easy to do that here at Bupa dental glengormley. The staff here are great they are fast, efficient & their customer service is second to none. Teresa the dentist is brilliant makes you fell so comfortable in the chair. Definitely be back... in 6 months.lol

Fantastic experience: Having just moved to Glengormley 4 years ago I had no preconceptions of which dentists had good or bad reputations but I joined when it was called Oasis and have absolutely no complaints. My dentist Shauna is amazing, doesn't jump into evasive dental procedures too soon so a root canal is thankfully on the back burner for now! I've been caught out a couple time with having to bring my 2 kids, 3 Yr old and a 9 mth old to my appointments and both times Shauna and the dental nurses were understanding. They even helped entertain the younger one when he decided he no longer appreciated being strapped in the pram! The practice itself is always clean and very modern. The girls on reception are all lovely and accommodating. I've had no bother getting booked in for emergency appointments and actually in comparison to my previous dentist back home, the practice is better run and managed. There's very seldom a delay in getting seen and even then it might be 10 or 15 mins max. So if you've made plans for after you shouldn't ever be late.

Fantastic experience: Having avoided the dentist for seven years I admitted defeat from dental pain and was recommended Bupa Dental Care (Glengormley) through various family members who also attend this practice. Despite being 20 miles away from home, I can thoroughly recommend this dentist! The clear pricing structure is great. Helen on reception has been fantastic from start to finish. Fiona, my new dentist has reestablished my faith through excellent communication, the height of professionalism and providing descriptive answers to my many procedural questions.
